The reckless talk and provocative behaviour by Hon Jack Mwiimbu resulting in UPND cadres attempting to stone and embarrass the Head of State Excellency President Edgar Chagwa Lungu on his recent visit to Monze District was very irresponsible, shameful and extremely disgusting.
1. UPND THUGGERY AND BAD MANNERS IS NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF ALL TONGAS BUT OF HAKAINDE HICHILEMA:
As a proud Tonga from Monze, I am with many other tribemates from Southern Province who are extremely disappointed by Hakainde Hichilema, Mwiimbu and UPND thuggery as it goes against the traditional values of Ba Tonga people who practise a culture of respect for elders and authority.
We shudder to think what would have happened had one from the hired mob threw a stone at the Presidential motorcade (like they did at BP filling Station in Monze last year) the State Security wings travelling with the Head of State’s convoy reacted with weaponry force to the menacing confrontation of Jack Mwiimbu’s led UPND cadres.
2. UPND HAS A DANGEROUS PATTERN OF ATTEMPTING TO DISRUPT PRESIDENTIAL CONVOYS TO TRIGGER NATIONWIDE ETHNIC UNREST
Zambians must be reminded that this is not happening for the first time. It is clear that the UPND leadership under HH have a very deliberate strategy calculated at inciting anarchy and igniting confusion by provoking the Presidential convoy and State Security whenever the Head of State goes on developmental tours in perceived UPND strongholds.
It is the same thing that HH did in Mongu where he attempted to compete with the Presidential convoy and it is also the same thing he repeated in Kaoma and then Sesheke when he turned a blind eye to his cadres who put big rocks and boulders to block the road the Presidential convoy was using, thereby endangering the life of the Head of State and putting the entire nation at great risk in the process.
The malicious irresponsibility of Hichilema, Mwiimbu and UPND is capable of plunging the whole nation into chaos. It must be condemned in the strongest terms.
3. HH IS NOT A MESSIAH FOR TONGAS AS HE CLAIMS; HIS TRIBALIST GREED GOES AGAINST THE ASPIRATIONS OF OUR NATIONALIST TONGA FOREFATHERS.
HH’s lust for power at all costs is now a disgrace to Ba Tonga. He does not represent the nationalism of our forefathers such as Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula, Mainza Chona and Elijah Haatuakali Mudenda to name a few. The UPND leader and his party’s morally deficient character does not represent the spirit of Nationalism.
HH and Mwiimbu want to make it look as if all Southerners are UPND when in fact not. The truth is that UPND in Southern Province victimise and brutalise any southerner that is not UPND. It is even much worse how they mistreat non-Southerners affiliated to other political parties in the Province. It is shameful.
HH is not the messiah of Southern province or anyone else as he claims. He is infact a liability to Southern Province. Under his instructions, UPND Members of Parliament and councillors are shunning progressive engagements with key government officials including the Head of State, and frustrating government development efforts in Southern Province.
4. FOR TWENTY YEARS MWIIMBU AS MP FOR MONZE HAS HAD NO PROBLEM DRAWING SALARY, SITTING ALLOWANCE PLUS GRATUITY FOR HIMSELF FROM GOVERNMENT, BUT APPEARS TO HAVE A BIG PROBLEM MEETING GOVERNMENT BRINGING DEVELOPMENT FOR THE POOR IN MONZE
“Honourable” Jack Mwiimbu has been Member of Parliament for Monze for twenty years (2001) yet what can he point at?
Monze Constituency is not as developed as it should be. Why?
This not because of unwillingness on the part of successive governments under MMD and PF, but because of Mwiimbu’s unwillingness to work with respective governments of the day to bring development to the people of Monze. He appears to have a misplaced belief that only a “government under a Tonga party led by HH” should bring development to Monze and Southern Province.
In the meantime, Mwiimbu has been drawing a salary and sitting allowances from parliament plus gratuity from the National Assembly since 2001. He appears to have no problems with getting a salary and gratuity from government, but appears to have a big problem with meeting government officials seeking to take development to Monze. This is typical of UPND MP’s and councillors in Southern Province.
I appeal to my fellow Southerners in Monze and across Southern Province to open their eyes.
How can HH and UPND fix anything when he and his officials are either preoccupied with frustrating Government development projects everywhere in Southern Province or busy inciting civil unrest and destroying?

Why needlessly risk ethnic bloodshed breaking out in Monze and spreading nationwide? Just to satisfy one man’s selfish ego?
“Simweenda aumineme ayebo ulaminama” (He who blindly associates with a wayward person, will himself become wayward.
The waywardness of one man, can never be bigger than the honour of entire Tonga speaking ethnic group of Southern Province.
The headline and what is in the article is not tallying, he has not explained how the monze heckling would bring ethnic chaos, people screaming forward and raising a upnd symbol how does that turn into ethnic chaos?
What exactly did Mwiimbu say that incited those people?
I also don’t understand, does it mean that for pf when one shouts forward and raise his palm, automatically they start tribal profiling him or her? Why is it that every time their his a political tussle between upnd and pf , pf always resort to tribal profiling? When those pf cadres attacked the voice of hh on radio in muchinga, I never heard upnd profiling which tribe they came from or their names, they just said pf cadres. Its only pf that is so obsessed with names and tribes that one belongs to every time you differ with them.
Bizwell Mutale, WITH OR WITHOUT HH , ZAMBIA WILL HAVE A NEW PARTY AND GOVERNMEN T NEXT YEAR 13MONTHS FROM NOW , SO WAIT AND SEE , BY THIS TIME LAST YEAR PF HAS SINCE LOST OUT ABOUT 60 % SUPPORT COUNTRY -WIDE , WORSE MORE FOR LUNGU , IT IS LIKE TRUMP AGAIST BIDEN HE IS CRYING AGAINST MEDIA OR POSTERS EACH DAY , WAIT AND SEE

The PF government has taken away the right to peaceful protest in Zambia. Whn u allow people to protest peacefully, the police would be aware of wht’s coming and would be in control. And wht’s wrong with citizens protesting to the President of the Republic of Zambia? Monze is a town where every Zambian has the right to live. It has elected councillors who originally came from other provinces unlike the situation u find in similar towns in some parts of the country.
I can see UPND losing again. They think Southern province is a country separated from Zambia. To them HH is a god. ……shame

People disrupted HH INTERVIEWS in Northern and Luapula stormed and radio stations. Nobody spoke about Lungu inciting ethnic chaos. Nobody spoke about ethnic chaos. Lungus ministers and top officials utter disparaging remarks about Tongas – nobody speaks about Lungu or PF inciting ethnic chaos. Lungu gets booed in Monze. All of a sudden they see actions that can lead to ethnic chaos. Don’t you think its PF tribally inclined actions and pronouncements that are more likely to cause ethnic chaos? When Lungu fills 95% of top political and government positions with people from your own regions while retiring those from Southern, Western and Northwestern on tribal grounds, you expected people of Monze to applaud Lungu? You should actually be praising the Monze folk for exercising restraint…
Its just that the writing is on the wall. No one could have incited anyone to embarrass the President. People are seeing dirty and wrong things happening under this presidency. We have people masquerading as Ministers when they are infact thieves and corrupt. Someone going to court or is it jail to answer stealing and corruption charges using a GRZ VIP vehicle with the Zambian flag flying high on it. What message does this send – we are proud and free corrupt and thieving government – kwasila!!!!!

I said the exact same thing yesterday. We all know that tongas are very respectful people. In fact the president was welcomed very warmly in areas he visited. We know this act of treason is from upnd and that psycho HH. In other countries they would have beer shot for endangering the life of president. It seems hh has not learned from treason charges he faced. We forgave him thinking he had rehabilitated. I guess he needs to go in again for very long time. Let him be careful. You cannot mess with the office of president. This is a kind warning.
UPND has never said anything wrong about that Bizwell Mutale and GBM.
PF only dump or punish UPND rejects into mobilization.

There seems to be a lot of misguided hatred against Tongas and yet Tongas have not reacted to this provocation that goes on day-in, day-out. There seems to be a deliberate plot to attach a huge myth about Tongas as if they are some kind of alien that has suddenly appeared in Zambia from nowhere. Someone is trying very hard to ensure Tongas are demonized. This is childish & very dangerous. We need leadership for all Zambians. Where is that voice from our leaders? KK used to say, ‘don’t take God’s people for granted’. GOD IS GREAT!

Jonathan endangered the life of poor Zambians by throwing those chitenge material on the road knowing full well that there was on coming traffic on the road . If he cares about the poor , he could have stopped and do his stupid hand gesture and give them the chitenge materia than throwing it on the road with fast moving traffic .
When such happens in tongaland by upnd, their supporters and leaders look the other way. When hh is chased from a radio station in bembaland, these same people rush to international community to cry. Is it fair really?? I think if upnd can engineer such s.t.u.p!d acts in their strongholds, let PF equally squeeze hh and upnd out of theirs.
Can Transparency International, NGOCC, LAZ, Alliance for Comminity Action, MISA Zambia, ZCTU , Cathplic Bishops thru Fr Lungu and others condemn the incidence in Monze. Recently, GBM was attacked outside the Magistrate Court in Monze and these organisations remained mute.
Its like democracy has failed in Zambia. Thats why China, Russia and Rwanda are economically better because they have ignored some of these so called democratic ‘freedoms’.
Absolute Democracy is not possible in Africa and Zambia in particular

Honestly speaking, there is nothing wrong with Tongas. They have just been made to look like they are bad by HH and his UPND. I remember very well that some prominent UPND member said UPND could only be led by a Tonga and none has recanted that position, even HH himself has not denied it. That puts Tongas in bad light.
Why is a simple incidence being pumped out of proportion. PF time is up. The Youth will decide next year. The Tonga issue here will not work. Problem with PF is that they think they are invisible. We shall see in 2021. Hunger is a good thing because it knows no TRIBE. To my fellow YOUTHS the choice is between PF (?) and UPND (HH)….. You can choose PF is you so wish. Muzamuziba YESU
