Stop dwelling on petty issues- Mbikusita-Lewanika

Share

Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD founding member Akashabwata Mbikusita-Lewanika says it is wrong for the opposition to dwell on petty issues.

Mr. Mbikusita-Lewanika says this is particularly wrong when the country is faced with enormous challenges of food crisis, global warming, unemployment and HIV/AIDS.

He urged the opposition to instead concentrate on real issues and offer workable solutions to daunting challenges faced by the country.

Mr. Mbikusita-Lewanika told ZANIS in an interview that the electorates are looking for leaders and political parties that would articulate pertinent issues of national importance.

He has since expressed confident that MMD’s Rupiah Banda will emerge victories in the forthcoming presidential election because ruling party is focused on developmental issues.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has set October 30, 2008 for the presidential by-election.

  1. I for once thought that Aka`s silence lately was as a result of political and phycological maturiry but i was wrong. Its clear that the man is a job seeker like others who could not tick in LPM`S time. What is he talking about now. Oppositions have a right to comment on issues of the nation. Thats politics!

  2. mwe corruption isa the man embarrassed zed how do you drag a former head of state to court over a plasma naine nalikwata sure.we lost a human being not a leader get real zed pipo he wont come back to haunt you just be honest and give a true opinion

  3. 8 Just Checking

In case you did not know AkA has five degrees, you and your grandfather Sata can consolidate your CV’s but you wont reach even a quarter of aka’s achievements. When your Satan was comfortable under Kaunda Aka and Chitala were brave enough to challenge Kaunda and Mighty UNIP at that time . This freedom of speech and insults you are enjoying is because of these brave two.

  4. Why didn`t LPM appoint Aka in his cabinet or just as ambassador in one of the african states despite having been one of MMD FOUNDER members and his credible C.V? b`coz he knew that Aka was just a political phycophant whose more rhetoric than practical.

  5. Smo Golyati those are his degrees to keep. As for the combination of degrees that’s your small yet miopic insinuations coz I am a rising star and not an overzealous writer of no significance like you. Freedom of speech is a gift from GOD not a simple nonentity like aka.

  6. Too many recycled politicians in RB’s team.Ba Aka you had your chance but failed. We have not forgotten that 100m sprint you made at Horn college when you were a minister in FTJ’s gvt.

  7. Yes, Aka is right. As Zambians we want to hear about the issues affecting us. Time is of the essence. If only King Cobra could stay on track and base his campaign on his experience and achievements, which are there for all to see. Elaborate on the PF Action Plan, underscore the differences between PF and MMD, assure us that the fight against corruption will continue, etc.

  8. Ba AKA,your Roger Chongwe started these petty issues…you and chongwe can’t show us your achivements have when you were in Govt…

  9. You cannot vomit , eat your vomit and then expect not to get sick. Thats what is happening to Zambia with old politicians being reccyled.

We will get sick with these old fellows who have been doing politics even before Zambia was born- pre 1964. Some of these guys have been doing thier round since the time HH was a small boy in 1962

  10. No. 24 thats funny. The good people in MMD chose papa RB.So what other choice do we have apart from ‘dead man’ Sata ? At least he inspires.

  11. #26 In politics its normal to have political strongholds,it happens everywhere even in America.Lets not dwell on petty issues countrymen.let me hear your view and to me its a normal statement.

  12. HH is the obvious choice really …and i’m not tonga, very tumbuka! go easteners, lets give teddy bear a shocker in the coming election! I for one want a President that can articulate issues with a good command of global politics!!!

  13. AKA, even as you are saying that; your presidential candidate Rupiah Banda is being reported by ZNBC TV News as saying he expects to win Eastern Province by 100% because he comes from there!! It is true this old man is a tribalist as some have charged!! I can’t believe he said that!! Going by that logic then we should expect Sata to carry Northern Province by 100%; Hichilema Southern province by 100%, and so on! This kind of politics this spent UNIP old bag is trying to bring back to the country do not belong to this century!

  14. He should be talking about carrying the country; that means all nine provinces by 100%, otherwise he should step aside now, before he takes the country back to the UNIP era!! What’s wrong with these politicians? It’s so sad that the same man, speaking on the Copperbelt earlier, declared the MMD would base its campaign on issues. But as soon as he lands in HIS province, declares he must be elected because he COMES from there! How stupid is that?

  15. Is this the kind of president we need? Zambians, respond with a giant “NO” to this type of tribal hypocrisy and kick out these fossils back to the 19th century where they and their politics belong!

  16. choma1.Do u really have a brain u Lozi cow? Have u checked yo postings lately? Today u say this tomorrow its something else. Now that yo bankcrupt uncle waffles nonsense here u r supporting coz he is lozi.Damn

  17. I keep on saying cut the debate on the old chaps.

They will not do anything for you. They are all just looking for jobs . They want the state machinery to look after them . They are not capable of looking after themselves . How do you expect them to look after the nation. Wake up people , we have wasted enough time with experiments.

Do not expect to reap apples when you plant lemons. Plant quality to get quality!!!!

  18. Who wants to be a small player in a big game?Pretend to be a big player and you will hold onto to existing jobs, perhaps getting one in the foreign services……..

  19. What political experience does HH have? Be careful what you wish for. We got a trade unionist and look at what happened. He went to Switzerland and bought peach suits and platforms and loved wearing an ill-fitting Rolex so that everybody could see it. I reckon RB will win & stay for 3 years. In those 3 years the opposition should really sort it out! This ad hoc PF UPND pact is just too sudden. Are they going to have a convention, how will this strategy work out with a few weeks to go to the polls? We got our fingers burned in 1991, do we really want Cobra who connived with plunderers plus a businessman with no political experience? RB might be old but has colossal experience.

  20. #26 good point, #28 realise tribalism is rife in these elections. Had it been HH who said that, it would have been an issue and by the way am BEMBA. Viva UPND, Viva HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  21. Acquiring a degree only shows that your level of understanding things is high but for others it means their level of understanding is low and this is what is obtaining here in Zambia. Thousands of degree holders who can’t think. Now look at this election this way : Sata or HH wins, and they have the minority of MPs in Parliament, how do you expect them to continue with the stead developmental progress this country has achieved? because in Parliament whatever good ideas, the president will want to do wl be shot down by the majority opposition MMD. Think very carefully. I am for HH but because of the above scenario come 2011, people wl think he is a failure and won’t vote hm in.m I wrong?

  22. l like nO.41, It’s good to bring back UNIP.That’s the party which used to give us coupons.Bane insala yalapwa, ama coupons yalabwela, come November

  23. PF should concentrate on marketing their manifesto in areas where they under performed in the last general elections. The kafue rally will not add any value to the electorates in kafue, Lusaka and copper belt coz PF as a product has been over promoted / marketed in the above-mentioned areas. At the rate PF is going, it appears they have no winning strategy…I won’t be surprised if PF emerges third in this by election…MMD are focussed and articulating well on development issues…no amount of lumpenism will make PF win these elections…Viva RB Viva MMD

  24. Can someone tell me.Is tribalism issue petty?Ar the ministers allowances petty? Please lets not joke with zedians

  25. Of the two former UNIP heavy weights (Sata and RB ), RB is more articulate and a strategist that Sata who has not learnt any lessons from his two presidency defeats.RB will only make one attempt and scoop the presidency. umodzi ku mawa aluta contina….the easterners gave support in the previous elections to their mbuya SATA who has failed to make it on two occassions …its time the bembas too supported RB now..

  26. My advise ku chimumbwa Sata is to concentrate on his helath. Ba Christine advice the man.. He is tired . We need energetic health people in state house this time. Not panono UK medicals etc this is a poor country

  28. I strongly feel we need to give chance to the younger generations. its so scary hearing pipo talk of ubwato. Isn’t HH a better choice to these tired old men like RB and Sata. We surely deserve better (am not tonga by the way).

  29. Chengelo Alumni, tata address njooka ndipa jilo taibeleki. So ndiyakupanga iili-fictitious njonga wandi tumina lugwalo. kolangilila buyo aawa. Mupaile kabotu insabata eeyi.

  30. Let the would-be first ladies (Mrs HH, RB and Sata) also address the National on their perceived potential projects they have in mind for Zambia if and when they will assume the position of wife to the Zambian president. A live debate on MUVI TV or ZNBC is welcome for this.

  31. Ask KK about AKA and will never praise this guy anymore. He can have his five degrees but he has obslotely nothing in his life.He was given a brand new parasitetal company-(Zambia Cereamics in Kitwe)1983 by KK to manage as the big man KK was impressed by this prince’s 3 degrees by then.Hey if it was in LPM’s govt this AKA this time Iam blogging would have been rusting at either chimbokaila or somewhere in mukobeko. He failed tottaly to run a company like ZC.He is a good and sweet talker give him something to do hey na kaponya awamako. That’s why he not marry upto now coz he cannot run a home but a house.

  32. LETs TRY SATA AS HE HAS EXPERIENCE..HH IS GREED,SELFISH,IMMATURE (and made money via privatisation and never paid workers..RAMCOZ,SUN International)and MMD has paid him to deliberately split the VOTE and thats why he is anti pact…and how come there is no bemba MP in UPND. PF has a tonga in Chingola as MP (Wilbur Simuusa). by the way..i am Tonga.

  33. Ba AKA wre did u go..smtimes u shud feel embarasd..we al knw wat u wnt.wat global warming cn we tok abt in zed wen pipo ar starving,ar those isues-global warmin sure?ubupuba

  34. #65: The answer to all these assertions that the Hon. Sata supproters are advancing is that, let HH, RB and Sata got it each alone. So we will see what happens on Oct 30, 2008.
    Let the best man win!
As for me, I am safer with HH much more than RB as President of Zambia. According to me, Hon. Sata changes his position too much like a chameleon changes its colour, Sata supports Mugabe, Sata has very humble education giving him irrational thinking on matters including “RB turns 360 degrees …” that appeared yesterday and so on and so forth so much that Hon Sata is not fit to be Zambian President.

  35. Mr RB HAS BN N POLITICS FROM 1964..WHY DIDN’T HE EVER CONTEST FOR PRESIDENCY..U DNT BECUM PRESIDNT BY FATE OR ACCIDENT.U MUST HAVE THE DESIRE TO BE..VOTE WISELY MY FELOW ZEDIANS..

  36. i agree with aka. sure can the issue of RB has one pair of shoes be critical to the development of ZED. ALA BANE TULANDEKO IFIKWETE AMANO

  37. The marriage of convinience between PF and UPND should be sunctioned and supported by all progressive minds. UPND and PF must dislodge the MMD from power this November 2008. After victory is attained, this is how power should be shared; SATA should be made President to control Cabinate and the police service, while HH should be made Vice President to control the Defence and Security. Also HH must control Finance, trade and industry upto 2011. By this time HH would have gained enough experience to become president. HH must serve under Sata after the October 30, 2008 elections and become Zambian President in 2011. VIVA SATA VIVA HH

  38. Its now getting clear that we are going to have 3 presidential aspirants. Too bad for ba Sata for having refused the pact. I can testify that he will not get the same support that he got from Luapula. His MPs that he wants punished for being in NCC are on the ground here seriously de campaigning him. He has sent his representative to countereact but they are no much to the sitting MPs. I live in Luapula and I have ears to the ground. The pact would have saved him

  39. #70 thts very true..tht wil change zed 4 the beta..HH knws busines nd wil cntrol tht part of th country.SATA knws politics and wil do hs thing, then 2011 we cntnue wth HH under the new party to b knwn as UNITED PATRIOTIC DEVELOPMENT FRONT.

  40. Leave Aka alone. All parastatal companies in Zambia collapsed it was not only the ones managed by AKA. Namboard, ZCCM, NCZ, Maamba, Zamhort, LENCO, ROP,lYONS Brooke Bond, UBZ,etc are all gone. You would think Zambia Ceramics is the only company that collapsed. Some people are just been petty and moronic! The dude fought for your democracy you johnny come latelys……. He has every right to express his opinion……….

  41. Stop hatin’ on AKA, he’s making a valid point. Sata & the chaps @ The Post want to focus on petty issues. RB has shown you chaps his maturity and sober mind for now atleast! Once he gets into office in Nov, he’ll silence ALL his critics! The Post, your propaganda machine is sooo cheap, trying to portray an image of being victimised by GRZ? Just wait, once we swear in RB, we shall demand payment of all your outstanding dues! what makes you blokes think you’re so special. It’s about time we started treating Mmembe as the fallible ‘human’ that he is & stop kissing his backside as though he’s some sort of messiah!

  42. 55. Imwe ba upnd only God knows the secret btwen life nd death. Mazoka in 2001 said LPM was sick and wud die any time but what happend to the ”very healthy” mazoka is history. Tulesabilila. By the way am lunda.

  43. You guys you dont know!
SATA enjoys losing; why do you think he keeps losing each time he stands? The man enjoys that.
He already knows that he does very well in opposition; is it not that PS means opposition – it means oppose, oppose,…, oppose.
Oppose the govt, oppose individuals, oppose your MPs.
And now, oppose yourself over the PF-UPND pact.
Oppose, oppose, oppose, …, then attack and insult.
That is what PF means, so don’t start wondering why he loses.
I have told all of you, no one should come and say I did tell you.

  44. This cessationist man is still alive. He has failed to perform at ACC. ACC has lost direction because of this educated psychopath

  45. You guys you dont know!
SATA enjoys losing; why do you think he keeps losing each time he stands? The man enjoys that.

  46. Some people the tittle of “Opposition Leader” fits them very well.
You can see it when they talk, even just the way they walk you can tell.
When they pass near you, you just say “there goes an opposition leader”.

  47. We all know that as an opposition leader you can oppose.
You can oppose anyone: govt, individuals, your own MPs, and everything else.
BUT the moment you begin to oppose yourself, we known the opposition syndrom in you has reached an advanced stage.

  48. #82. Maverick,

I dont know whether you you think you are insulting or reasoning.
To some people to reason means to insult.
But of course you contrivution is welcom all the same.
If you are not good at analysis, you might not get anything from my comical contributions above.
But for those who think instead of insulting have seen the sense of what I am artistically communicating.
I dont blame you, I know that not everyone understands issues easy.
Some people have to bleed thru their nose to understand just a simple issue.

  49. So u tink u…u rili tink ur the best n ths blog..al i read n ur coments is partisan suport nd disregard for otha pipo’s thots..there is no nid 4 me to tel u my level of undastandin.,coz u seem to the ‘great’

  50. 83 contd..

I am comically presenting is the charactor of SATA.
    He is a changing man,
His campaig language and strategy does not change but he expects different results.
He criticises everyone, and now yesterday his cricised himsef over the PF-UPND pact.
He fights so much to get to plot #1 that he cant let anyone else stand for presidency or enter any pact.
He seems to show like opposition means criticise govt on everything.
Also i have given him a plus, that he has done well on one hand as opposition leader by providing checks and balances.

  51. Fine..bt do u realise tht sme of th policies the curent govt are implementin wre originaly pf…and on the pact, lets get the oficial stance, yes yestday he said thy ar nt goin n2 a pact bt wat has upnd said abt y it faild coz it was in their hands to discus..nd sori 4 th flitch

  52. #84. Maverick,

I think the issue on this topic is not about who is great between you and me, i think the issue is about:
“Stop dwelling on petty issues- Mbikusita-Lewanika”
You and me we may be great or not great, but that is not what the bloggers want hear.
Let us keep our greatness or non-greatness to ourselves, it’s our seceret. Let the bloggers not know about it.
Instead let us dwell on what is relevant to the topic; I am not sure if you and I are relevant to this topic.

  53. #86. Maverick,

your contribution on #86 is more friendly and easier to follow than before.
I agree with you that SATA left most of those policies. This makes a lot of sense because he was MMD and these are MMD policies, so of course he left them.
Yes, on the pact they have not concluded the discussion, i agree. But i think we are not discussing the outcome at this time. We are discussing events in the process leading to the outcome.

  54. HH should steer clear of Sata. He will only be sullied and poisoned by that snake. I dont think he can win this time, but if he plays his cards right and makes a real effort to change the ‘tribal’ tag of his party then he can make it in 2011.He needs to play the long game, afterall time is on his side.

  55. no. 60 fuseke mani. hena ma 1st ladies mbebaya kutulela?? I think wakolwa buntele tata… Tatuyandi ma hope foundations ama initiatives aku beja. Twachi mvwa ku bidwa katu ebela eeii. Tosubuki hena????

  56. I agree with the eagle, Aka’s brains has fermented, it sinks. How on earth does a man like Aka support a UNIP member to stand for presidency on MMD ticket when he was one of the founders of MMD. Shame on Aka.

  57. uncle phil ,you right are man. just ignore this selfish chaps they never had a chance in LPM’s Gov,now they have is seen an opportunity.

  58. Number 68, did you know Lyndon Johnson became Prez by accident after death of John Kennedy and it is LBJ who pushed through civil rights legislation in America?

  59. This wastage of time calling for a political pact between ideologues of dissimilar values is a sign of immaturity, disconnection and fanatical idealism not synonymous with realism. These are incongruent tickets by all dimensions opportunistically rival in dreams. This is why I call this kind of cadrish calls, remote, disconnected, dangerously dangerous and self demeaning. Mature analysts and strategists know where building critical mass is not practical. Hence avoid this self humiliation and mental torture. Any vote other than on MMD is spoiled vote because this Zambia’s continuity election with LPM legacy. Nothing more, and nothing less, but just that.

  60. Democracy is institutional. It starts at intra-party not learnt at national level only. MMD has transparently being leading the way hence being a national party. If a party is not open to internal democracy, it holds no moral authority to reign in power over a democratic society and country. Zambians have tested and matured in Democracy. They want leaders and parties open to intra-party democracy. They are privy to engendering their treasured democracy to scambags allergic to competitive intra-party democracy. Sata and Hichilema must open up to democracy, get entrenched in it and become mandated products of the process not leadership by tribal coronations and decree on the subservient.

  61. #28 Choma1. Presidents and Prime Ministers (in those countries you are talking about) dont go to the alter or platform to announce that they are winning because they come from those places. Its in fact the media that speculates about a candidate winning because people may own him/her. People here are very politically educated. Should he/she announce that he/she is winning that may even drive the final nail for his/her coffin. They will say he/she is taking us for granted lets show him/her the exit. So, they are very cautious about such foolish announcements. Dont cheat zambians by your “freedom of speech.”

  62. BY THE WAY YOU LEARNED CHAPS. WHAT DOES THE CONSTITUTION SAY ABOUT ONE SAVING TWO POLITICAL PARTIES? DOESNT ONE NEED TO RESIGN FROM ONE BEFORE HE JOINS ANOTHER? JUST NEED TO KNOW.

  63. Its upsetting that mature men want to make comments on comments (didn’t we here all this rubbish by the week end after Our late presidents burial?) already made by those who cannot or want to survive on government pay cheques. His observations are fine up to the point of talking about RB. What we need is maturity from those who have served. They can continue to serve from outside of government by giving good advice and providing perspective analysis instead of useless rhetoric when we actually need to recognise that we have a leadership crisis. It’s not about party (MMD, PF or UP N Down). We need to pray for our country.

  64. What petty issues is Aka talking about. By the way he looks like a wolf. Can’t he go to a barber shop, whats wrong with you mbuya?

  65. Politics are funny, not long ago when Mazoka died the wife was in the forefront proclaiming that HH had been anointed by Mazoka to lead the party, the same rhetoric we heard with Mwanawasa’s demise. I have respect for HH but the way he came to power in the Party leaves a lot to be desired, I have a problem with people who will do anything to get to the top. There is what is called personal morality, so HH is tainted with his bull dozing (pardon the expression) of self into power. Ba Aka should keep quiet and start teaching or something!

  66. If you are tired with the nkalambas then you are tired of seeing you father or grandfather still apuma.Abakote cimo ne ndoshi tababula mu calo.kalambas are there for a purpose.Let the nkalambas do something.

  67. You people are no different from these hungry politicians, I see how you are really related. You all open your big loud mouths even when you have nothing sensible to contribute.

  68. Bloggers,

I have just done a 15 day tour of duty across the length and breadth of the country, and was amazed by the storm brewing below the surface…RB has done his homework and has laid a solid foundation of grass roots support.

I now understand why the 2 opposition parties are rushing for a pact…

  69. 104, I agree with you. In fact this blogg has turned into some 1-on-1 cursing centre. Aka has a valid point. Politicians need to focus on telling us how their manifestos will eliviate this nation from the paucity its facing. Since the election date was announced, I have not heard any such debates. All you here is PF-UPND pact, this one is sick, that one is dying, thief-dictator, yap yap yap!!! Well, some of it may be important to some people, but my starving relatives in Shangombo couldn’t care less about that. All they want to know is, how is the next government/president going to make a difference!!

  70. AKA is right. But the man is not sharp as hes credentials suggest. Hes been a flip flopper for sometime now. Hes kept around by MMD for tribal balancing because with him and Mwaanga waffling, Votes from the west are guaranteed.

  71. A thing tht disgusts me n ths blogg is tht sum of the pipo otsyd zed think wat thy coment is sensible than othaz.ths is nt a clas room to teach o lecture.js write wat u hav nd nt condem..besides sum of u must be busy cleanin old pipo’s ass’z

  72. What Aka said it true but the vernon people on this site have unleashed at his intact character makes one wonder whether these ‘theorist’ innuendos are but just a veil to cover up deep rooted tribal bigotry agaist people from the Western part of this country. It is such tribal dogma that acts as damnig impedements in the election of credible candidates dedicated to finding long lasting workable solutions to all the ills, economic and political, that bedevil our nation.

  73. # 109 please speak English this is not a lecture but a request so we may understand what you say. Also not everyone out here does what you do.

  74. RB should resign from either UNIP or MMD because he is supposed to be a member of one party only if he has to file his nomnination. He is supposed to be sponsored by a party he is a member.

  75. Why can’t Mr. Michael Sata learn to discuss issues instead of insults? Why can’t Mr. Sata discuss policy issues instead of character assassination, innuendo, defamation and perpetual lies? The Zambian people want to listen to the stories of how many jobs will be created by government, how and when their poverty will be reduced or come to an end, how their school children will be educated, how the government will tackle health care, housing& road infrastructure, how much inputs such as fertilizer and seeds will be provided by government, how the environment will be taken care of in the wake of climate change etc. Abash dirty and childish politics!

  76. #112. Think Man- even Sat was UNIP once. No one wrote letters to tell the UNIP pary they have shifted.. RB was campaigning for MMD the last elections, what does that tell us? No one raised any issue about affiliation.

    # 113 is right although he sounds like he has been watching too much CNN. Sata should be objective instead of the old boring politics.

    Where is Miyanda Kanshi!!

  77. #113 Mule konka politics dont just shoot down because you hate the man.I may not like Sata but one thing is he enlightens the Zedians of what the government is hiding for example,Did u know who told the Zedians that Shasonga was helped by Mwanawasa to escape?Until they confessed themselves diplomatically.Who told Zedians that huge sums of money were withdrawn for Levy;s medical bills in france when the french government paid all of it.
Please dont just analyse based on your hatrade for the man.He has done more for Zed than whoever you are supporting.

  78. #115 Sata has never told the truth apart from lies, n hatred.thus y pple like u are foll of hatred like yo leader, as father like son.
deal with issues not character assisanation, thats what we need .

  79. 112. Twafweni USA, “Is RB UNIP or MMD?”

For me if an emplyee of company ‘A’ is not seen in the company for more than 2 years then the HR manager comes to hear that he is now managing director of company ‘B’, it will be extremly unwise for that HR manager to say, “he is still our employee because he did not officially resign.”
The very fact that this man was not reporting for work for more than 2 years, and now he works for another company should tell you that he is no longer with you.
In fact you will be a very inefficient HR manager not to fire this guy for 2 years of absenteeism. Even national citizenship, the moment you acquire citizenship 4 another country, your citizenship ceases.

  80. Bo Aka for how long shall you beg for jobs that only last a few seconds in your hands before they slip away? People can’t keep you in government because regardless of your fat CV you reason like a 5 year old. No wonder people don’t take you serious when you talk. Ala pa kumwebelafye taba kwata!Ala tulomfwa insoni nga mwalanda ba mudala. As for those that are excited about RB…Do you really know the man? The fact that plunderers or shameless thieves have ganged up to back him should tell you a lot about how easily compromised RB can be. At NAMBOARD he left financial scandals, at foreign affairs he ‘chewed’ Savimbi’s blood money from the Americans. Ask yourselves why KK is quiet. VIVA SATA!

  81. Here is a message to all SATA haters…the man is winning with or without your vote. PERIOD!Did you see the crowd in Kafue? And Kafue has been a UPND stronghold mind you! Continue offloading your misplaced political and hatred garnished arguments. But don’t forget that the campaign is in the field and that’s what we are doing…meeting the voters unlike you bloggers who are preaching to the converted. SATA was in Kafue, Chilanga and the list will go on until October 30…the Bwato is in motion! You will attacks us till your faces become blue but we are meeting the people on the ground- the grassroot not imwe ba some of us ta mu vota no ku vota! HH for 2011…dream on…

  82. Those insulting please refrain, critisize Aka in a civilised manner so that the message gets to him in the right manner. No insults as Aka never insulted anyone.Lets enjoy the elections and the rhetoric that goes with it.We are one big Zambian family with people like Aka,VJ,Sata,Kavindele KK ,RB etc being our elders but not HH,

  83. Sata too should not be entertained because he is equally a recycled Politician. Why should you call others old and out of touch when Sata is in the same boot. Lets not be blind here and remember that having a big rally is not in itself a sure way that someone is going to win.Debate objectively guys.

  84. where are the young men and women in zed who can run the country we are tried of recycled men since 1964 they still want to join or interchange parties

  85. #65, please check out your facts right and desist from exposing your ignorance on HH and the UPND! The UPND’s Hon Charles Kakoma, Zambezi West Member of Parliament, is not Tonga and he is
mp in North-Western Province and not Southrn Province.

  86. When is UNZA going to be re-OPENED?

As an un-official supporter of “HH waboola – Real ray of change and hope Zambians can believe in”, I am asking all Internet bloggers to visit ww w. hakainde. co m and vote for the place they are found so that the census being carried out can show meaningful results on parts where voters can be reached.

  87. No 121 you lozi chap you amaze me with your open tribalistic tendencies. Watch yourself before you attack others. We do not need such type of your calibre in the public service. If you are so obsessed with it please get to Mongu and practice it there. In fact it would make sense if you called yourself Mongu 1.

  88. #131 “ACTING President, Rupiah Banda has said he will not respond to personal attacks by some opposition” I therefore, emulate his honour Rupiya Banda

  89. #130 “ACTING President, Rupiah Banda has said he will not respond to personal attacks by some opposition” I therefore, emulate his honour Rupiya Banda

  90. Banda has been a level headed fella who can push this country forward. He owes no one anything. Not even the thieves who banded themselves together to support him. He owes them no protection. He’s been a clean man apart from the little dent of supporting those stupid increments for Magande and his cohorts. If he keeps a staright head, he has my vote. As for SATA, I dont want a finished has-been like him. Go back to the land Sata!!

  91. Every leader in Zambia is better than Satan. There is nothing sata has that can make him a successful president. If he is workaholic we can as well ask for some miners from underground to stand.Sata has no general vision for the country. He can do well in a one ministry or one role and not as the father of the nation.I would be ashamed if Sata had to become president of Zambia. It would be a mojor draw back

  92. When Kaunda told us the MMD was full of thieves we asked him to talk about issues. When people raised the issue of LPM’s health we insisted on issues. This time I will listen to all the non issues about every candidate.

  93. Aka is a spent “force”. He wants to be in Banda’s good books for two reasons, namely 1. to be given a job, and 2. to protect the jobs of his siblings.

My prediction: RB will win Eastern province outright
HH will win Southern province outright
Sata will win Copperbelt Urban ouright
North-western will be shared between HH and RB
Western Province will be shared between HH and RB
Lusaka province will be shared between HH and Sata
Northern Province will be scooped by Sata
Luapula province will be scooped by Sata
Central province will be shared by all the three
Like it or not Sata is likely to be president of Zambia come November. Problem is he is also a tribalist like RB.
