United Party for National Development (UPND) spokesperson Charles Kakoma said the PF had no ability to foster economic development in Zambia because its leadership was recycled and had little or no knowledge about economic liberation.
Mr Kakoma said it would be suicidal for Zambians to vote for a PF Government in the 2011 elections.
He said in an interview in Kitwe yesterday that the PF leadership was dominated by recycled politicians, some of whom had worked as informers of the colonialists and were now failing to understand modern politics.
“When you look at the PF leadership, you will find that those recycled politicians are the ones who dominate the party and promote dictatorial tendencies.
“When someone tries to bring modern politics of articulating issues of national development, they do not entertain him,” Mr Kakoma said.
And UPND president Hakainde Hichilema’s special advisor and spokesperson Douglas Syakalima said the PF should not apportion blame on anyone if they had failed to convince the Zambian people to vote for their party and its leader Michael Sata in this year’s elections.
Meanwhile,THE Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has said the Patriotic Front (PF) is jittery and crying foul against the United Party for National Development (UPND) because they have foreseen that they are losing this year’s elections.
FODEP executive director Macdonald Chipenzi said the statement by PF secretary general Wynter Kabimba had come too early when the Zambian voters had not yet started voting and it amounted to crying foul after the party mishandled the alliance with UPND.
Mr Kabimba on Monday was quoted as saying the UPND was playing the role of a spoiler in this year’s elections.
He said the UPND was working to spoil PF leader Michael Sata’s chances of winning the elections.
Mr Chipenzi said the PF and UPND had an opportunity to hold the alliance firm but it collapsed due to lack of mutual respect and the parties involved must stop crying foul.
“Next time alliances should be formed on mutual trust and respect.
These two parties were insincere to each other with one calling the other as inferior and the PF is now crying foul.
“What the PF are saying basically is that their future depended on the alliance. What they are doing now amounts to being jittery and crying foul,” Mr Chipenzi said.
It is virtually a sin, not to be educated , I have 2 Masters I dont boast and this man HH I have a lot of time for him. For Instance my Fiance was at the University of Edinburgh and as he points out, an HNC from there is better than a PHD from UNZA for example. Lets be honest UNZA is not even in the top of 50 Universities in AFrica alone, let alone top 1000 in the world. What is my point? My point is unless you ave been educated at one of the top Universities in the UK your degree in Zambian is worth nothing to be honest. I have a degree at Thames Valley Univesity in 2008and a Masters at the University of the West of Scotland. Not the nest but probably in the top 25. I thought PF had made inroads into W province so why are they jittery about UPND? Last week we were being told that even the fish and the crocodiles in the Zambezi in W province are for PF so they should be able to win by themselves instead of blaming a ka ‘small party’, like UPND.

My advice… don’t add the alphabet to your name (Mushota ACCA,CIMA, MSc blaaa blaaa blaaa) englighten us as to what exactly your line of work is. I am an audit manager with a simple ACCA, I manage a portfolio of +35 clients spanning audit,compliance, financial management and tax, my specialty is IFRS and Financial management. and yes am still in Africa in a primitive town called Johannesburg. Incidental is was there a strategic reason why you did both ACCA and CIMA or where you shooting in the dark hoping for the best.
Whilst I don’t see the point in Kakoma attacking a fellow opposition party his point is very true and unfortunately many Zambians don’t seem to be very analytical in choosing leaders.The one with the best rhetoric seems to always have it easy with winning elections. I was instead talking about the quality of graduates that the local universities produce. My point is that some top cream professionals have passed through the local universities. You tell me to wait until I reach your height? I passed your stage along time ago. I have my first degree from Zed, My MSc and PhD from Europe not to mention other qualifications and professional excellency recognitions home and abroad. Some of my students have also surpassed your stage. Dont talk too much by thinking you are the most educated. By the way getting degrees means nothing if they dony make you a better person. There are 3 fundamental reasons why PF will not form government in the foreseeable future. Therefore MMD is headed for a landslide victory. Firstly PF has misunderstood the mood of people by making assumptions that they can campaign using the tactics of 1991. Using the rubbish propaganda machine of Mmembe, PF cadres have tried in vain to induce the “1991” revolution. Secondly the PF is the official destination for political junkies like Mpombo, Chitala, Chongwe and more recently Mulongoti. Thirdly the PF does not have an economic agenda that can move Zambia forward.

I can assure you that people are not interested in where you got your degree from, but what your contributions have been to society. 1) Either he saw what was going wrong and approved it.
2) Or he did not see anything wrong for 10 years of being close to Chiluba, in which he is not capable of leading the country because he is worse than being blind.
Is it surprising that some who have been overwhelmed by his comical acts swear to vote for him even when he is gasping on a death bed? Of course not, what ‘The Cobra’ offers is far greater than anything, anywhere and anyone can ever imagine. We have the real thing in Cobra, I say bravo, bravo to Copra!
I to some extent agree with Mushota. those with simple degrees from UNZA tend to boast, more especially those who got them as mature entry. Its sad that people tend to boast about qualifications in Zambia. If you have had an opportunity to study outside Zambia, you will realise that school is not as easy as those who study in Zambia put it. I have a first degree from a Zambian University and i had to work extra hard during my Masters since our Universities teach outdated stuff, with no computer softwares, books etc. so those of you who have had not had an opportunity to study outside, don’t thinks its smooth sailing, just because you see people coming back with degrees doesn’t mean its an easy ride.

Michael Sata has to be careful of being surrounded by too many old guards. It happenned to Chiluba. When things will go wrong, these will be the same people to leave him, thus destroying PF as a party. When also need a President who is a good listerner and does not keep an inner circle or Kitchen cabinet. The inner circle is always thinking of their own interest and not that of the nation.
