Republican President Michael Chilufya Sata has with immediate effect, terminated the contracts of three former aides to immediate past president Rupiah Banda.
The three officers whose contracts have been terminated are Dr Richard Chembe (Special Assistant to the President for Economic and Development Affairs), Joseph Jalasi (Special Assistant to the President for Legal Affairs) and Dr Francis Chigunta (Special Assistant to the President for Political Affairs).
The President terminated the contracts in exercise of the powers vested in him pursuant to the provisions of Articles 44 (5) and 61 (2) of the Constitution of the Republic of Zambia.
President Sata has wished the three former aides well in their future endeavors.
This is according to a statement made available to the press by special assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations George Chellah.
Is there a day that passes without this serpentine firing anybody. Every day it is this one is fired , that one is fired a..I wonder if his ministers will even have the pleasure to fire anybody.

Remember this man has his own formula so all what your party has left has to align with his vision or he will replace. I will do the same in that situation he is in. It’s him to face the music of the citizen if our expectations are not met, let him do it to the best of his ability. So far the president H.E MC Sata is in the right path, why keeping the same cobwebs in office who did not respect the rule of law in MMD era? Let Sata work and bring sanity, law and order to our country, at this time Zambia needed a strong nationalist leader, who has the heart for the people of Zambia and only sata can do that without fear or favour. Towards the end of 20 years rule of MMD Zambia went back to the Dogs, looking at high levels of corruption, poverty, injustice in judicial systems, the country had no directions.

Shroud Sata will dismiss people as if they were farm workers at his farm. We are not against firing people he cannot work with but that these people worked as professionals, have families and above all Zambians. What needed was to serve them notices of separation since he was a different (Bemba) president and if on contract pay them off. Zambians are also interested to know who are taking over those positions to serve their president and nation. PF will not rule for ever so lets have decency in dealing with fellow Zambians. I guess its easy for Sata to fire people than outlining his 5 year vision for the country. In any country that you go to, the first thing a newly elected president does is to outline their vision and strategies that they will use to realize the vision within a stated period of time. a national vision is picture of various aspects on how the president would like to leave the country after 5 years. Sata has not yet done this. Something he should have done immidiately after being sworn-in. Sata needs to outline the vision he has for every district in Zambia and what strategies his government has to realize the visions in every district. But gauging from the comments that his ministers have been making e.g establishing an airline etc. I very much doubt if the PF guys have a direction.
