SOME unidentified Patriotic Front cadres verifying the cargo at Kasama Police which was carried by a GRZ truck Registration Number 914BX for Ministry of Healthy in Kasama.

Five opposition Patriotic Front (PF) officials in Kasama who yesterday impounded a Ministry of Health truck on suspicions that it was carrying ballot papers have been detained for giving false information to a public officer.

The five were detained around midmorning today after a verification exercise which was conducted at Kasama Police station in the presence of all stakeholders revealed that the truck was only carrying spray pumps and chemicals for treating mosquito nets.

Northern Province Police Chief Charles Lungu who confirmed the development  to ZANIS said Police have since launched investigations to establish the motive behind the alarm.

Police Spokesperson Bonnie Kapeso when contacted  for a comment in Lusaka  stated  he could not comment on the matter as he had not received the report.

And speaking before the verification exercise, Christopher Chanda who identified himself as a member of the PF security committee said they received information from their colleagues in Mpika, that the Ministry of Health truck registration no. GRZ 914 BX destined for Kasama was carrying suspected ballot papers.

Acting on this information, the PF officials waylaid the truck at Tazara barrier around 20:30 hrs where they ordered  the driver to park the truck so that they can check its contents despite him having told them what he was carrying.

After a bitter exchange of words, the driver decided to drive off to JB Hotel where he was supposed to spend a night.

After thorough verification by all stakeholders it was discovered that the truck carried sprayers and chemicals destined for Northern and Luapula Provinces for malaria control.
After thorough verification by all stakeholders it was discovered that the truck carried sprayers and chemicals destined for Northern and Luapula Provinces for malaria control.

The uncompromising officials followed the truck at JB Hotel where they started removing the tent and opened two boxes.

However, it was not until the police officer in-charge appeared on the scene when it was resolved that the truck be driven to Kasama Police station to allow for a verification of its contents today.

Among the stakeholders who witnessed the verification of the contents were the provincial Electoral Officer Nixon Kwapu, the Provincial Health Director Dr. Fabian Kabulubulu and Administrative Officer Vincent Phiri.

And Health Spokesperson Dr. Canius Banda disclosed that the ministry had a meeting with all the nine provincial health directors at which it was emphasised that they should not engage in partisan politic.

He said it was regrettable that  the truck was impounded  but hoped that all citizens  would work hand in hand with the ministry to ensure that  it delivers its services  to the people.

He said the activities  of spraying against mosquitoes  must continue unhampered  with  or without elections.

  1. Well I’m first

Yes be alert. Ba kamwanga will have a truck soon carrying the ballot papers. Continue to be suspicious but next time be a little more crafty.

  2. Just like their leader, ever picking up quarrels.

    Viva alert Zambians

Abash rigging, keep awake till after the last vote is counted

  3. Let us not spread anarchy and unnecessary suspicion. It seems PF are just like their leader who gave us false stories of Sadam Hussein being in Zambia fleeing the Americans and the arms cache at Sindamisale. That is not vigilance but witch hunting. This behaviour is what leads to unnecessary bloodshed.

  4. PF is mad if they think they are going to win the elections. Guys, I know HH is the best candidate but he has no support.

  5. We must make sure SATA does not win and the only way to do that is by voting for the MMD.

We cannot risk having this country ruled by SATA..

  6. Guyz!!! pliz just for today lets put down our partisan differences and say “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOTHER ZAMBIA”!!!!!! coz that’s what unites us!!!!!

  7. And they hope to form Govt with such baseness? Atase, these PF pipo will plunge us into chaos, I swear. Ifya mu mputi fye!

  8. # 7, you are very right when you say that HH is the best and right candidate. I don’t agree with however on the point that he cannot win. He can win if you and I decided that he should win by voting for him. To be honest, I have not so much against RB except for the corruption revelations which the biased POST brought against him which makes me a bit jittery about him. However given to chose btn him and Sata I would go for RB. But why go for RB when there is HH standing? Please lets vote for HH and help the country move forward. RB is too old and may not be that alert to the abuse of power the likes of Teta and Mike Mulongoti may bring about. Sata may get Zambia stuck the Zim way. VOTE HH!!!

  9. I have came to believe that, you can take a tongas to the city but you can not remove the bush from their heads. Lets call a spead a spead, came 30th Octo, PF will take the lead, corrupt or tribalist we gona have one President and thats SATA.

  10. Gud job guys keep it up. Sata was in Solwezi 2day & everyone includin the mayor was shouting Pabwa pabwato some mwamukolo wth ironic fists evry where, Sata wil no mater what. HH saw ths 4 himself. Viva PF

  11. # 15, if everyone thought like you, we’d have a chance of getting up and running as a country. Sadly, ours is a country without ears. So your words of advice are likely to fall on deaf ears.

  12. No 8 you dont think, i gues u have been benefiting from Movement 4 Mad Dogs MMD for 2 not see that people dont want them. Viva Sata

  13. If i were you # 17, i would rather ask HH to hold one or two public offices in any goverment, let him prove to us how much more his whealth. Lets not imgine a rich and young person is good for Zambia. Such manfestos like increasing public service salaries is nosense in any African economy.

  14. @#19. Automatic Phiri

HAHAHA. You PF supporters are so predictable. You are already calling the MMD “Movement 4 mad dogs”. This is PF people. They cannot debate, they only come with insults and try to intimidate people to vote for Sata.

Well I am a UPND supporter but in this election I am rooting for the MMD because I do not want PF to be in power. People in PF think like you do. They cannot say anything intelligent, they only know how to insult. Plus unlike PF supporters, I actually want elections in 2011.

  15. HH supporters should strategically vote for RB in order to keep Sata out. They should do this as it is clear race is between RB and Sata. A vote for HH will be wasted as he has no chance of winning.

  16. There is a problem. Because these guys are thieves they think everybody else is thief. It is criminal offence to cause alarm. They should be jalied. What vigilance are you talking about. Telling lies is not vigilance

  17. BIG UPS TO VIGILANT PF CADRES…..NO RIGGING WILL BE ENTERTAINED THIS TIME ROUND….KEEP UP…WE ARE SAILING TO PLOT ONE WITH CAPTAIN MICHAEL CHILUFYA SATA

  18. no 25 chi colour you are spaeking form afar you dont know what is happening in zambia.your fellow fee colours are bizy trying to rigg elections and ppo this time are vigilante iye u are busy saying nosense.

  19. HH SAID SOUTHERN PROVINCE OFFICIALS ARE AS ALERT AS SNAKES TO STRIKE ANY ATTEMPTS TO RIG BY RULING PARTY…VIVA CHANGE…VOTE MICHAEL SATA TO SORT OUT THE MESS…TO CLEAN UP THE DIRT AND THROW OUT THE RUBBISH….PABWATO

  20. Zambians lets be united and support one person @ a time, for us to forge ahead with developmental projects. this country is too small to be divided into four sectors and tribes. If America can only field in 2 pipo only, how selfish are we?

  21. VOTE SATA THE MAN OF EXPERIENCE IN GOVERNORSHIP EXPERIENCE IN SWEEPING STREETS EXPERIENCE IN WARD CHAIRMANSHIP EXPERIENCE IN MINISTRY OF HEALTH EXPERIENCE IN MINISTRY OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT EXPERIENCE IN MINISTRY OF HOUSING EXPERIENCE IN MINISTRY OF LABOUR EXPERIENCE IN MINISTRY WITHOUT PORTIFOLIO EXPERIENCE IN MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT….VOTE WISELY VOTE MICHAEL CHILUFYA SATA…

  22. Zambia’s 1st president was named “DAVID” The 2nd was “JACOB” The 3rd was “LEVY” All these three names came from the bible, now tell me which book, chapter or verse where you can find such names like “RUPIAH” ,HAAKAINDE or GODFREY? Come on people “THE GREAT ANGEL IS MICHEAL” Vote wisely its 30th October. He is 4th.

  23. ka #29,DM, your ka flag looks like you are in russia, are you trying to prove that while you boby has evolved to look like that of a human being, your brain is still that of a monkey???? silly chap! if you have no substance just shut up!

  24. NO! They shouldn’t be detained for being alert. What if it were otherwise? Of course they wouldn’t exactly what the truck contains-they can only suspect. And the police are the ones to prove it. NIPA ZAMBIA ANYWAY!

  25. Happy 44th Anniversary Mother Zambia. I wish every Zambian all the blessings God holds out to each one of us wherever we are. In this prayer I include our children born in the diaspora.
The powerful words below have kept us going.
Stand and sing of Zambia proud and free, Land of work and joy in unity, Victors in the struggle for the right.
One land and one nation is our cry…
    Africa is our own motherland…
    Praise be to God!
    Bless our great nation…
    Zambia, Zambia, Zambia…
    Congrats Zedians!!
    Enjoy the day.

  26. Please, Do not play with the Word of God. Sata should NEVER be likened to an angel because that is an insult. DARKNESS AND LIGHT CANNOT MIX. SATA is REAL DARKNESS.

  27. police has a point on social order, but i have a good impression with the kasama residents, infact everybody should congratulate them, it shows how zambians are concerned.friday morning i am in a copper t-shirt in the middle of abidjan to feast mother zambia, good morning zambia

  28. when sata was likened to an angel i started imagining an angel with a cigar like sata(oh i hear he only smokes in his bedroom now-not in public anymore!)

  29. Folks does anyone have a cut and paste of inspector Kalalki’s stroy about the Giant Buddah:

    The Contract
    Kalaki
The Great Sugar Daddy sat motionless, like a huge Buddha, all alone in the vast

Please if anyone can get this one for me, I’d be so glad,

    Cheers,

  30. dont blame the kasamans for what they did. last time someone rigged and the buju did not know anything. the monkey boys are just protecting their vulnerable vote. it pains to have a the least favourite candidate to carry the day. I think they should also impounding fishermen! maybe there could be some suspects. Or ambulances! aha

  31. Sata just by looking at him he has the personality of a thug. He
uses mishanga boys for violence. He is crude not fit to be a President as well as looking too ugly which I think age is contribu-
ting to his ugliness. The fact that he so power hungry he is the
one creating all these false alarms so that people should think
MMD is up to no good. PLEASE DONT VOT FOR THIS DISHONEST OLD UGLY
MAN. They new what the truck was carrying but deliberately tried
raised the false alarm so MMD can be discredited. SATA SHOULD BE
LOCKED UP FOR INCITING THOSE PEOPLE TO CAUSE THIS FALSE ALARM. SATA
IS PART AND PARCEL FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TRUCK DRIVER TO BE SEARCHED. sata suffers from heartproblem

  32. #22,i shud shut up!okay!am sure u have benefited from the mad dogs.deep down yo heart u know they have played the game enough, the pipo of zmabia need change, and this change will only be pabwatooooooooooooo.viva micheal!tulewina wooooooooooo!

  33. mmm # 43,who is better looking btwn RB who looks like ichipute and my Micheal! come on man! its not even abt the looks.ni data tulefwaya na change and Micheal has it! lol pppaaabbbwwwaaatttooo…………….

  34. @#44. Akapondo!

First I never said you should shut up. Stop lying (which is common among the PF).

Secondly, I want you to make a comparison between MMD with Sata and MMD without Sata. When Sata was in MMD, Zambia was experiencing negative growth, inflation was at an all time high (32%) and corruption was at high levels. Sata supported this same govt for their third term bid. Now compare it to the MMD of Mwanawasa (without Sata). Zambia was experiencing positive growth, investment was flowing into the country, inflation was at a single digit (8%) and the Anti-Corruption Commission was formed to help fight corruption.

  35. cont from #47

I would rather have Rupiah Banda in power than Sata if he will continue with this achievement that Levy and his team did. But unfortunately, Sata just seeks to destroy and is a product of two failed govts (UNIP AND Chiluba’s MMD). UNIP Plunged us into debt and MMD of Chiluba plunged us into poverty. Can you honestly trust Sata seeing that he is a product of these two govt systems.

Sata must never be allowed to rule.

  36. #43, stop commenting on something you dont know. You seem to lack the understanding that rigging has been the weapon for MMD and this time people are aware of this cancer. The senior police officers and OP have been used to act as gents in rigging as well as ZAF who fly ballot papers to remote areas like Zambezi or Lukulu at night. Do you think Zambezi district can have more people than Kafue? I salute those Kasama PF. we are feedup with rigging. VJ is still in south planning a big one but this time is no way.
#38, your hate for Sata shows that, you are actually a dark side of light. Let the best man rule.Even you dont like it Sata will win big time

  37. It’s only courageous PF guys who can stop and search the truck suspected to be ferrying ballot papers. The other chaps ni ba mbuli
    Viva PF

  38. Sata is Obama of Zambia
God help Sata to rule Zambia from 2nd Nov, 2008.

    Viva Sata

    Pa bwatoooooooooooooo
    Mwa mukoloooooooooooo

  39. Chiluba was one of the few people who dared to defy president Kaunda even when the man had a perpetual “state of emergency” in place, which meant that he could lock up anyone he wanted without explaining anything to anyone (and he did, in fact, lock up Chiluba). Mwanawasa, likewise, although he was given a high government post by Kaunda, managed to defy Kaunda and he was even fired from his position. Mwanawasa later worked with Chiluba in the MMD, became his vice-president, but later resigned citing corruption in the Chiluba administration.

  40. The guys just did what common sense can dictate one to do when faced with such a situation ,so thumbs up for the cadres for trying to make sure that the truck was carrying the right contents ,am sure the matter will be resolved amicably after weighing the circumstances and situation leading to such an action.Nipabwatoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  41. In spite of the many weaknesses of these three presidents, they are men of soul, in many ways. They are men who believe in sticking to their minds rather than denying their own ideas and convictions for the sake of pleasing another man, or even for the sake of their own safety and livelihood. The worst form of corruption is the corruption of the mind and there are so many people whose minds are corruptible even if they are not financially corrupt. Our three presidents are men whose minds have never been corrupted by anyone. The British colonialists could not buy Kaunda. Kaunda could not buy Chiluba. Chiluba could not buy Mwanawasa. Gifts mean nothing to these men, even if it is a gift of

  42. power itself, as Mwanawasa received from Chiluba (first as Vice-president, and then as MMD presidential candidate which led to his republican presidency). Nothing can buy the souls of these men.

  43. Imwe ba anti sata for nothing. Dont you know that even your HH is having his bt saved by such courageous acts. The fight against corruption does not end on counting kwacha, even votes must be audited. especially this time.you have no idea what cheating on a natoinal scale can do to a country. even task force did not have 100% success in searching. let us not stop searching. Those PF are our freedom fighters.

  44. I think General Miyanda is also completely in the class of our three Presidents. He was jailed by Kenneth Kaunda when the president had become a dictator; he was fired by Chiluba when the president had become corrupt.

Fortunately, Mwanawasa has learnt lessons from his two predecessors and it seems he will finish his term without becoming a dictator and without stealing, thus restoring some of the honour that belongs to this high office. If he truly wants to leave the nation in the hands of someone who will not reverse this achievement, President Mwanawasa might have to completely “swallow his pride” and anoint someone who truly reflects his own soul as an independent man,

  45. PF IS JEETERY ABOUT EVERY THING JEETERY TO LOOSE AND JEETERY THEY WILL RIG AND THEY FORMED THE SO CALLED ANTI RIGGING SO FAR THE RESULTS ARE IMPRESSIVE. SATA JUST WANTS TO INSTILL INTSABILITY IN ZAMBIA TOGETHER WITH HIS COLLEGUE MUGABE. WE WANT TO MOVE FORWARD AND ENSURE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE COUNTRY. WHEN WAS RB TRIED INVESTIGATED, OR ATLEAST FOUND WITH A CORRUPTION CASE. CHILUBA WOULD NOT HAVE DONE DONE SO. SATA IS CORRUPT VERY CORRUPT, THE MERZAF HOUSING HALF OF THE MONEY WENT INTO HIS POCKET, MONEY FOR DEVELOPMENT WENT IN HIS ACCOUNT NOW. DOCTORS LEFT ZAMBIA BECAUSE HE COULDNT LISTEN. RB FOR PLOT1

  46. Free- market, you don’t think, now inflation is @ 16%, what dose tell you? After the death of Levy, numbers changed from single to double digits inflation, what more do we need to learn from the ability of RB.

  47. #57 RB WISE CHOICE. You must be one of the few most stupid Zambians. You have such info about Sata and you are just sitting on it. That information can be use to convict President Sata. Zambia cannot move forwards coz of stupid pipo like you. Cant you learn from the Kasama pipo. Now Sata is winning and you still possess fraudulent info about him. By the way MC Sata used to be enemy number one to Levy. Such info would have excited him out of his pants to convict Sata. What do you think?

  49. Viva vigilance!!!! If ECZ is not transparent then then people have to be vigilant. Dont worry guyus you wil be released on 1st November 2008.

  50. Sata is sending his thugs to disturb civil servants. It is such behaviour that other people are apprehensive of him being a president. He can even send troops to fight a neighbouring country without verifying any information. I would have run over those chaps if I were the truck driver because their brains and behaviour are as ugly as their leader.

  51. #56 no wonder their calling u kaponyaz’ dd u say those boys in kasama their freedom fighters? dont bring mugabe thing here. ruthless thugs u and chisatana.. u wil end up like that! loosers.. i hop this is his last chance. he shud give as chance 2 support lubinda or chishimba. guyz this time rb while waiting 4 2011

  52. Power hungry pf’ at last the ll impound the lusaka water and sewerage truck, nivisilu and they think there goin 2 win this’ sad! slap those pf kaponyaz claiming 2 be pf top security..thugs

  53. Im nw getin disapointd wth hh suportaz here, who are sayin they wnt to vote rb,now u pipo, were do u belong,ur sayin you cnt risk having sata in powa-then u dnt knw th meaning of democratic change..u hav seen tht hh is nt commandin enof support,nw out of hatred and jealous you would rather countinue letting our country diteriorate js lyk tht…get serious guys..vote bt nt for mmd n rb..

  54. people who are saying Sata is a thug or mad man are so shallow themselves. Ask yourselves why this man has a large following. 56. Issues like this needs more of an analytical than a critical mind to come to the bottom of the reason behind this whole incidence.Surely the cadres can not be blaimed so much for the behaviour they exhibited in this happening.MMD itself could even be plotters of this whole incidence ,looking at the fact that they know people are now more alert to any attempts to rig the elections, so it is also possible for them to use this understanding to set up the Pf cadres.May the boat sail smoothly

  57. Number 67: tell them these chaps are so shallow minded some of them they claim to be abroard with GCE’s not even a grade twelve certificate and they call themselves educated. the level of understanding is judged at how well you perform at grade twelve no matter what you do after wards.a person going to a university with a GCE i have never seen thats why you chaps are visionless and can’t even see what is ahead of you. i can safely say am educated and not a kaponya and i have declared my support for SATA this time around HH, 2011 .VIVA PF and well done Kasama guys.

  58. Thumbs up! All well meaning Zambians should appreciate their alertness. Viva Pf for being alert this time we wont allow Mmd to rig these elections. We promise to be alert. Mwamukolo

  59. Well done guys lets be alert guys. number 72 good point MMD can go to that extent as well thank you for that reminder. any coffin suspected please guys open to make sure no rigging. VIVA PF

  60. Sata I m waiting to be invited to your inauguration. I want to teach you how to run a country in an african way. You can make a gud student of mine. I like yo attack on foreign investors. I have done the same in Zimbabwe and my people are happy now. We have the same party symbol and are both PF – ZANU Patriotic Front and you sata simply Patriotic Front. Baba munini sata see when I come for your inauguration

  61. beta that way coz the mmd chaps willl use anything to rig these election but we thank God coz pipo av become vigilant now.Viva PF,Viva Sata Ubwatooooooooooooooooooo!Mwamukolooooooooooooooooooo!

  62. #75, Robert Mugabe,

In 2006, Sata and his supporters were 2000% sure that they are forming government. With inflation at 23000000% in ZANU PF, Sata (PF) is equally at 23000000% confident of winning this election. Your invitation card is more than ready. The inauguration ceremony will be held at a stadium to be announced. However, do not be too confident of attending as you know life is full of surprises.

  63. #16, watch out yo language. U are a black man also like tongas. U were born also in typical bush. If u were born in the city, let me tell you that yo parents the base is in the village. they shifted for employment. Just to mention a few SATA, HH, BR.G.MIYANDA, RB, CHIEF JUSTICE SAKALA etc. They are staying in LSK but look at their origin. They came from the village, even yo self u are villager. everyone here is a village, satanyoko!!!!

  64. PF supporters (who are saying HH 2011) have got some bad memory. Sata said that there will be no elections in 2011.

To protect the country, we must strategically vote for MMD simply because we cannot afford to have PF win the elections. VIVA MMD.

  65. We must make sure SATA does not win and the only way to do that is by voting for the MMD.

We cannot risk having this country ruled by SATA..

  66. #16 [DM] Big up to you great thot … PF is winning, they like it or NOT. Better safe than sorry so they did just fine!!! What if the guys found the ballots like have been found elsewhere??? #1 and #2 Mulibamano!!!Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwato!

  67. Happy Independence Day Fellow Zambians … naimwebene fi MMD nafi UPND! Ifwe tuli mama Arabs, they know no independence!!!

  68. #79, Free-Market-Capitalist,
I agree with your motive of voting for MMD so that Sata does not go to plot 1. I disagree with you on the principle. A vote cast on a candidate that you honestly think is the best candidate under the circumstances (e.g HH) is not a wasted vote even if HH lost the elections. Your concious will never condemn you for the wrongs done by the second best candidate (RB). One real advantage of Sata winning is that he will teach Zambians not to play around with their votes especially when it comes to choosing a president. I’m assuming Zambians can learn from their mistakes.

  69. Viva PF security, you were acting on instruction from concerned collegues and sympaphisers. this is welcome. But why was the truck only checked in day time, who guarded it in the night? Just thinking like the Kafue incident. The scene only checked after 3 days and the police start issuing threats to poor Bwalya.

Viva PF this is not alarming but vigilance. Even MMD cadres, they are welcome to disclose and tip us where they want to rig

  70. #79, Free-Market-Capitalist,
I disagree with you on one principle. A vote cast on a candidate that you honestly think is the best candidate under the circumstances (e.g HH) is not a wasted vote even if HH lost the elections. 71. PF, these are signs of desperation and panic. Not matter how much you panic, SATA will never be President of Zambia. Ever! It never happened when LPM was alive, it wont happen in his death. No lumpens in State House.

  72. #79, Free-Market-Capitalist,

One great advantage of Sata winning is that he will teach Zambians not to play around with their votes, especially when it comes to choosing a president. I’m assuming Zambians can learn from their mistakes.

  73. #79 & # 80, One nice advantage of Sata winning is that he will teach Zambians not to play around with their votes especially when it comes to choosing a president. I’m assuming Zambians can learn from their mistakes.

  74. I think Inspector General Mateo should commend the kasamas. We are encouraged to report to police any sucipicious activites. The MMD is using Govt Machinery at disposal. Please Mateo release the Ngumbo boys.Image builders are travelling in MOH vehicles.

Munkombwe confessed that MMD is loosing to PF.

  75. #79, Free-Market-Capitalist,
I disagree with you on one principle. A vote cast on a candidate that you honestly think is the best candidate under the circumstances (e.g HH) is not a wasted vote even if that candidate lost the elections. Your concious will never condemn you for the wrongs done by the second best candidate (e.g RB). If Sata wins (not my prayer), the advantage i see is that Zambians will never forget the lessons he will teach them of not playing with their votes when choosing a president. That is if Zambians are teachable in this area.

  76. Happy Birthday Zambia. It’s good to be vigilant but not being alarmists. PF president is known for dirty politics. We all remember the Chawama saga when he was caught by UNIP cadres with Boxes. We all remember(unless u are pretending) how he shamelessly commanded PANGA Boys to go on rampage. Today Sata and the PANGA boys are in Opposition alarming the nation.Pf just want an excuse for post-election violence. Shame.

Just the combination of SATA, GBM,Nsanda and the Kaponyas stinks. If you call PF a Party, then think twice. These are Ganja Puffing Fools who should be locked up at all cost. I think the MMD are too soft on these chaps. IF U LOV ZAMBIA, SAY NO TO SATA! Try RB OR HH. Period.

  77. Its trick that most people making comments are not in Zambia.
Happy independence celebration,May God bless your country
and Vote wisely as you can not all be in plot 1.The winner
will not take all in state house nor give them employment.

  78. Happy Independence day bena Zambia. I understand that we would all want to comment about the situations but come on guys, lets look at the way forward. I don’t understand why we want to be divided because of Sata and Banda. All the people contesting in the elections are not credible to lead our country but at the same time if i was to choose i would elect RB.

Its also unfortunate that we Zambians in the diaspora can not vote because we would also want to influence change because we are proud to be Zambians.

    VIVA ZAMBIA

  79. #87 you are right no stone should be left with out unturned or else these MWE MWE DEE would capitalise on it.

A world to the Inspector, i thought you would commend the vigilant caders and yet this is opposite, in any case we will not allow your masters to rig this years elections.

Tis time the hour has come for Change, Change, Change is un avoidable when time hame has come.Fellow zambians did you mateo Boss reading answers from the paper during interview with Frank on TV last night. Are these the kind of leaders who can not answer a question unless they have been given time to go through them and memorise. What a cadidate.

God Bless Zambia. Nipa Mukolo, Ni Pabwato!!

  80. But ba PF mulibamwenso!!! You are scared of the inevitable…that is losing this election. We are the same voters who voted in 2006, and guess what, we shall vote exacly the same as we did. It’s hard to swallow but MMD is definitely get this election. Even Sata knows it, and his Anti-rigging Ltd stooges simply what to create chaos – ukufilila munsenga

  81. # 85 you are one of the people i had in my earlier post as being shallow. God and only God will give Zambia a leader meaning kk, Ftj and lpm’s choice may his soul rest in peace don’t matter unless you belong to the dark side. Be real my fellow zambians… SATA IS THE MAN. PABWATO !!!!

  84. No: 67. Blacks -africans in particular -can vote for anything that talks and seems to reason (e.g Mulongoti, Sata etc). I dont blame the whiteman for barring blacks from voting during colonial days; they knew that we could vote for anything that talks and seems to reason. Today african is under developed not that we are poor but because of wrong leaders. Lets vote wisely

  85. Hey! Did you know that leadership depends on the situation at hand? The problem that Zambia has is MMD. MMD memebrs behave like they own this country. Their MPs and ministers believe they are the chosen ones, the ruling class.

So if you want change vote for PF because it is the only alternative. PF has been providing checks and balances from the time the party ‘lost’ the 2006 elections. They deserve a chance. We are encourage those who may not be decided as yet to vote for PF on 30th October, 2008.

Don’t get leaders from bedrooms where they are fast asleep. Get the active ones. HH woke up when Mazoka died. RB was awaken by the late HE. Why don’t we let them continue sleeping. Vote PF.

  86. i dont know why they are detained, they suspected and thats what it was a suspicion. now did they detain that guy who carried ballot papers? that guy is suposed to be in jail, but they said it was a mistake. how come others can make a mistake and others mistake is anarchy.!!!! please countrymen lets not make zed like a communist country. eish the police are saying we dont have to be partisan but they are acting like it. i think if things countinue like this zambia will never be a developed country. what democracy is this. guys dont be cheated, we are far from being a democrate. being weak and afraid doesnt make as peaceful. how many times are the elections gona be rigd.!! wakeup.

  87. Ka chkamba ka flea market trader walitumpa sana! If you have fleas in your red eyes and you cant see what UNIP/MMD can do,u will be eaten alive! Ubwipi! Dwarf! Changamuka!

  88. Yes let us be alert people. No chance for MMD now. By the way, happy independence day people. Let us contribute positively to the building of a better zambia by voting wisely in the forth comig elections

  89. Motheers and fathers twaleni abana ku independence! Kuchampuka fye ififine otherwise VJ is back! keep up the vigilance PF! sata for president.

  90. # 99 uleichindika. there ios nothing good about colonial times for us black. thats the reason why our fathers like Kapwepwe, KK, Nkumbula fought so hard for our independence and freedom. Wilamona kwati abasungu bantu sana, we stay with them and we know them.

  91. Some people zoona! U cant see that VJ “Madcow” is busy! They used two trucks! pf got the wrong one! Meanwhile the right truck just rolled into town. Its parked at the O.P the driver is japhet ngulube! Check this out

  92. Thumbs up guys! we just need to be alert otherwise vi kabova vi MMD viza Riga, mwaikata!
#111, ni ba styopet maninga aba bantu! we do the want to treat us as if they own us.
    Viva PF
    Viva Man of Action

  93. can the pf supporters tell me please the education dackground of there president chilufya sata?because we dont want uneducated people to rule us or old form 3’s.

anyway happy birthday my fellow zambians,we are one and zambia is ours.

  94. I WANT TO DISAGREE WITH #43 FROM YOUR WAY OF THINGKING ITS BECAUSE OF CHARATERS LIKE YOU WHY ZAMBIA WILL NEVER DEVELOP. HOW ARE WE GOING TO CATCH THE RIGGERS IF WE ARE NOT ALERT? WHY DID THE DRIVER REFUSE THEM TO VERIFY IF HE TRULLY WAS CARRYING MOSQUITO MEDICINE? IF HE HAD NOTHING TO FEAR OF HE SHOULD HAVE ALLOWED THEM TO CARRY ON IM SURE AN HONESTY PERSON WOULD DO THAT.WHY DID HE DECIDE TO DRIVE TO AWAY, HE PROBABLY CRUISED TO THE HOTEL SO THAT THEY CAN OFFLOAD AND THEN PLAY THE INNOCENCE.WEK UP AND STOP BEING PERSONAL,THE FACT IS MMD IS LOSING THATS THE REASON THEY ARE USING ALL KINDS OF GIMMIC TO RIG THESE ELECTION AND IF PEOPLE OF YOUR KIND ARE THE MAJORITY THE WOE TO MOTHER ZAMBIA.

  95. #113 Education or no education, Sata shall rule! What qualification did KK and Chiluba have to rule. Naine kuti nateka! atase. What qualifications do our Ministers have, bene Vera Tembo.
Leave Sata alone, come 1st Nov he is presido!

  96. Viva Kasama PF, job well done. We don’t want the Movement for Mad Donkeys (MMD)to rig these election. Ni mwa mukolo tuli………..pabwato mudala

  97. #43, Ulichisoso. is handsomeness or beauty a qualification to become presido? amano ubuche. Remember that Sata did not choose to be what he is but was made in God’s image – same as yourself. and this should not be a reason for your calling for people not to vote for Sata. Sata as far as i am concerned is a straight man. when did you ever hear about him in court of dubious deals? And your Nyama Soya? Just campaign for your candidate because whatever you say, i am for change because i want to see action and not the nepotism and other vises we were subject to under LPM. Viva Sata

  98. iwe PF cadre, why do you enjoy insulting people like you are little satas? oh I forgot, like father like son or is it like sata like cadre.

  99. Sata must be stopped at all costs from plunging Zambia into economic chaos. MMD you have done alot for this country just like Moses to the children of Israel. If it will need rigging to defeat SATAN go ahead. You have to finish your mandate

  100. Under which leader would hooliganism, kaponyahism, a culture of reckless living, a culture of insults and uncourth behaviour thrive? Your guess is as good as mine.

  101. Mateyo has refused to carry the instruction from Sata to issue him a Police Uniform and Short Button to be using as a president.Viva Mateo the man is a lunatic

  102. The momentum SATA opens his mouth, the following can possibly come out, starting with the most likely:

    a. An insult or lewd or indecent statement
    b. An indecent joke and verbal sewage and a hiss
    c. An unachievable promise and inticement/ uninformed opinion

Unfortunately all the above can at times come out uncontrollably and instinctively are short or no notice at all. Just an open mouth is good sign for unpalatables.

  103. Atase number 113, you are even failing to write background and you call yourself educated.no.116 VIVA PF you are write. these chaps they pretend there educated and yet there not. tamwachitile ama spellings kusukulu bakapala. PABWATO CHABE………MWAMUKOLO

  104. Thanks for admitting that sata WAS like that BUT your opinion that he is a changed person must be substantiated. When and how did he change. A religious expierence or some other out of life expeience perhaps?

  105. Happy independence anniversary Zambia! 44 years of national pride. May God continue to bless us with peace and prosperity. Goodwill to all.

  106. THIS IS ANARCHY AND A CRIMINAL ACT OF HIJACKING AND UNLAWFUL DETENTION HAS BEEN COMMITTED. THE LAW SHOULD TAKE ITS COURSE AND THE CULPRITS BROUGHT BEFORE THE COURTS. THERE ARE SECURITY FORCES IN ZAMBIA AND VIGILANTEISM SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED. IF A CRIME WAS PERCEIVED TO BE COMMITTED THE PF CADRES SHOULD HAVE REPORTED THE MATTER TO THE POLICE FIRST. CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT THE POST WOULD HAVE WRITTEN HAD THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED AT THE BEHEST OF MMD?

  107. Chi #95 you r so blunt and rotten! you can only call me an illiterate if its your grandfather who financed my education. Just shut up if you don’t have serious issues to discuss. and you # 113 you are dull, foolish and being unrealistic. you should always know that nzelu ni kubadwa nazo not za ku sikulu. you can’t compare your entire shallow self wit president SATA. mislead your children not us. PABWATO CHABE….!

  108. How on earth can the same mouth talk about promoting Baroste Agreement and at the sametime talk about unity? And someone is saying that sata has changed, my foot.

  109. I’m not Bemba and i’m supporting PF. Dull people are the ones who vote on tribal lines. wake up this is a modern world be real chaps stone-age is long gone ba nyama soya imwe. Pabwato chabe….!

  110. PF thugs must respect and obey the law. Dont be fooled by Sata attracting large crows at his meetings. I suppose most of them go there to have a laugh and past time there. Sata has no agenda for Zambia. No serious leader would fool himself that he can chnage the fundamentals of the economy in 3 months.PF is a party of thugs!!!

  111. 136
Am Bemba, how about that? Do you honestly suppose i would vote for Sata and PF because Sata is say Bemba? No way!To be honest, even RP is not a good option either. I would rather vote for HH if i had to, because he represents a better change.

  112. ARE TOSE ALERT KASAMA MEN/WOMEN STILL IN DETENTION? THOSE ARE VERY GOOD INSTRUMENTS OF DEMOCRACY. THEY SHOULD BE RELEASED TO GO AND CONTINUE THEIR GOOD WORK.

  113. Abash sata
    Abash rb
    Abash general sleepy head

Viva HH for progress and change

I miss home, I wanna come back guys…

  114. #120 KAY. you are mistaken. There is a PF Branch in London. The office bearers are mostly not Bembas. But men and women from all corners of Zambia. One just has to check the track record of candidates and realise that it is obvious that Sata is going to deliver. Well if your desire is a corrupt Zambia, then RB can deliver, or if your desire is a tribal Zambia, well HH harbours tribalism. Zambia have loudly said they wanta chance which pushes them towards hard work and prosperity. Mind you Zambia is well endowed.

  115. # 51 you are wrong HH is the Barak Obama of zambia as he represents the true Zambian Dream of a liberated country free from corruption with an economy which is viable and where the majority of zambians are able to benefit with realistic and workable policies.
    VIVA HH
    VIVA HH
    zambia forward

  116. #141

You are very economical with the truth, typical Bemba. Are you noy Bemba yourself. Why mension about the branch in london. Teyine, na tola fye culture is clearly spelt out in you.

  117. #116. This is why Zambia is still so backward in everything. The one who turned Malaysia economy around was so ill educated? By the way do not ever compare Kaunda with the likes of Chiluba and Sata. The old man played a role in making this country an industrial giant. An uneducated man like Chiluba could not take it to higher heights because he was so mediocre in thinking. He should have protected what was built instead of listening to the IMF who had their own agenda of not allowing an African country to prosper. Sata and his kaponyas will take this country to lowest levels. Merzaf flats are something to be proud of? Zimbabwe is so well built and it makes Zambia look like a VILLAGE!

  118. #141 Peter

You know what, I am amazed at you Bemba guys. Sata is busy talking about a third term and you still have the audacity to support him. That is called tribalism. You sound a bit enlightened but alas that has not helped to scrub off your natural instincts. How on earth can you of all people staying in london and have been exposed to better democracy yet choose to support an open proponent of 3rd termism. Just amazing!

  119. #52 Truth, Mwanawasa resigned from the Chiluba government because of corruption and insurbodination. And the main culprit of insurbodination was Sata. Sata is just a thug as they come. He certainly is not presidential material. He is just fit to be a kapaso for one of the chiefs in Northern Province.

  120. #141

By your inclinations, you cancell all the potential that exposure and education was mearnt to achieve in you. The one person called sata has openly revealed what his real desires are.

A wolf comes to you and declares his desire to have you (sheep) for a meal and you tell Mr. wolf ‘Iam yet convinced that you are what you claim and look to be. Untill you eat me, I will not believe.’ Just confounding Mr. enlightened Peter.

  121. #168 kay. You do not even know which tribe I come from you just jump to conclusions. I may be lozi, bemba, tonga. But mind you if nobody told you my tribe it would be very difficult for you to know and place me in a tribal group. Well, unlike you, i am not one who discusses tribal groupings. So dont drag into something alien to me. I think, discuss, and plan projects. Thats my level. Sata is progressive. Thats why we believe in him. He is one of the few african leaders i know who is comfortable amongst highly educated people and knows who to use educated men/women in order to achieve goals in various areas of economic interest. He will make it n they are scared of that.

  122. #151 kay. I am proudly pf. Whether win or lose. Just like you also may be proud to be mmd. But a word of caution. Even if i am pf i can vote for any party that exhibits responsiveness while i still remain pf. I always think of a better zambia for my children. Not myself. I am already old. I want my children to be proud of their dad’s country rather than being proud of something that may not belong to you.

  123. #165 Peter

“knows who to use educated men/women in order to achieve goals in various areas of economic interest.”

That is your take on Sata, your opinion or wish. You must be highly misguided for you to dream like that. Use for simple logic and come out of that self induced spell. It is most unlikely that you your brains when you support Sata. The chances are simply that you are a blood or tribal relation of his. There is no two way about this. Be honest with yourself and dont answer me back. Keep to yourself. What you are is too plain for me.

  124. Peter

What is your take on Sata’s suggestion that he will build Power stations in every province, that he will place a pipeline between Angola and Zambia, that he will promote the Baroste Agreement and yet prommte national unity, that he will not abolish the NCC and yet still get rid of his ‘rebel’ Mp’s. Do you support his idea of clinging on to power for 8 years without elections? What is simply clear to me is that the only possible explanation for supporting sata is blood or tribal ties. Not a genuine sense of Patriotism for the country.

  125. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA ZAMBIA!!!

To everyone who will be casting their votes next week: Regardless of your political beliefs, please cast your vote with Zambia at heart. Zambia is in our hands.

  126. Mr. Peter

Just check the other topic and you will see that Sata has yet spelt out other empty promises. He suggests he will build an International Airport in Northwest Province. Add up all these promises and all these are coming from one individual who apparently has only two terms of office to prove all this. Tell me, how on earth can an informed person gobble up all this sh*t. How do you expect me not to think that you are a genuine Patroit. This kind of rhetoric is for the bush and he thinks Zambians are that damn to believe.

  127. Team, It is sad that hooligans and political activist are misleading the general public. When there are fights, we know which party has more unruly cadres, come to the MPs they are also hard core. Now do you know that even when Mwanawasa won elections twice, the opposition votes were more than what he had. Does that make sense that ruling party can rig and still have less votes? Most pipo are against MMD but Opposition split. So that is the rigging. I do not agree on rigging as our electoral system is one of the best in Africa and verification, validation and other controls are excellent. False alarms are just acts of desperation the real issue is that PF has not yet gone round the Count

  128. Yes Happy Independence Day everyone, it’s a shame it hasn’t yet happened.
    PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
    BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  129. #22,Free-Market-Capitlst, I am extremely disappointed with you. I thought your were able to replace me in supporting HH when you were recommending that I should not supoort him (HH).

Anyway, it is your right to post your opinions and it is good I did not let you take my powerful task of supporting the Incoming President to-be HH.

#22 and 24, there is no need to masquerade as HH supporters when you are not consistent. Please, let those who are true HH supporters to finish the job we started. Vote HH for a better Zambia Starting on 4th November 2008.

  130. #26,30, maestro hehehhehehhe, you flag is against you. Beside thank you for showing us that PF cadres and their leader Sata have no originarity in what they do by are bent on pilfering other people’s work.
#26,28,30 you are shamefully plagiarising my LT blog name through your high speed dubbing (copying) of 99% of my work and it is interesting that your unelected and undereducated PF owner Sata is also copying the educated HH also about 99% (Hydro-electric power genration (HH from Waterfall, Sata from rivers 99% HH stuff).
This copying attitude is shown because of “LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON” mentality. Tongas are clever and developers while Bemba-Tribalists are dull photocopiers copying Tongas

  131. Countdown: 5 days 5 hours 50 minutes remaining and we are counting.

Vote for HH for a real ray of Chnage and Hope that all Zambians can believe and trust in. vote for your children’s future. Vote for economic independence

To this end, I ask RBB and MMD to quickly endorse HH for Zambian President. Munkombwe was quoted as saying the Sata may win if MMD makes a single or simple mistake. So, MMD stand up for what is right. It is not too late for RBB to infrom the Nation through ZNBC TV and radio with Times of Zambia together with Zambia Daily Mail that let all vote for HH.

May you all Zambians have a great weekend. I am leaving for a SABBATH recess. Thank you all for you support.

  132. Maestro Hhehhehhehhe… This communication is for your benefit, I know you refused my offer the other day, but that doesn’t mean it stops me from sharing with you my candidate’s brief profile. Anyone mature enough follow the story 4get who u support. Those that don’t want to follow can go hang….

  133. Did not realise you have already left the forumn….enjoy your recess and i hope by the time you are back, you will have had a change of opinion and helped let MMD finish its rightful mandate and we all help support HH 2011. Can’t be fair than that. Fairwell….

  134. RB should also be arrested for alarming the nation with the size of his nostrils. Does any one know what charge these chaps are being arrested for?

  135. # 184!!! MIND YOUR LANGUAGE. YOU ARE ADDRESING THE HEAD OF STATE IN THAT VOCABULARY? THE IP ADDRESS U HAVE USED WILL BE TRACED AND INVESTIGATED JUST LIKE SO MANY OTHER VILE CHARACTERS, NOTABLES BEING PF . INTERNET CAFE OWNERS SHOULD MONITOR WHO USES THEIR TERMINALS OR THEY MAYBE HELD LIABLE 4 CERTAIN STATEMENTS. TO ALL THOSE BLOGGING, DO SO WITH DIGNITY APPRECIATING THE FACT THIS SAME GOVT YOU ARE INSULTING HAS ENABLED YOU A CHANCE TO OWN A PC OR HAVE THAT MONEY TO PAY FOR A TERMINAL AT A CAFE AND WASTE IT ON INSULTS? WATCHOUT!!! YOU ARE ADDRESSING ELDERS…
