Thanks to Europe that Christianity came to our continent and to be specific to our mother Zambia, but we have to be frank that not only good things came from Europe but bad things also. They has been a tendency to imitate the western world and lately not only our music has been influenced but also our customs and we tend to justify them.
Every true Christian does not hate homosexuals. According to the teachings of Christ, is never acceptable to mock, slander, be violent or hate anyone including homosexuals. Although a Christian should treat the homosexual as any other person, he must also be Biblically honest.
Today, Zambia a Christian nation is facing this issue of homosexuality.Some voices are saying Homosexuality has to be accepted even in the Christian church and approve it as a lifestyle or as a sexual preference like any other…However, those who, on the basis of moral or religious views oppose it, are usually portrayed as ignorant bigots and racists, “homophobic” or the bearers of prejudices etc… It is true that in the history of the world there have existed and there are people who hate homosexuals, basing they reasons on human law.

I would like to briefly explain the difference between act and orientation. Many homosexuals says: “I was born homosexual – God made me this way. In the early days of creation, God created a man and a woman. He did not create two men, or two women. The creation of a man and a woman to be husband and wife is the model or paradigm of the base of approval by God and by nature. Jesus quotes too this same model (Genesis 2:24) when he explains that polygamy and divorce are condemned by God, because He disapproves sexual relations outside marriage and monogamous heterosexual – so even homosexual relationships, adultery and so on.
In the Old Testament, God says to his people: “ you shall not lie with a male like you lie with a woman” (Lev.18:22) The New Testament confirms this: “For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their women have changed the natural use into that which is against nature. In the same way the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men committing indecent acts with men and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due” (Romans 1:24)
Therefore, Zambia as a Christian Nation also Biblically honest and ruled by ten commandments, shall remain an island on the issue of homosexuality as it has remained a Christian Nation among the few nations in the world. At the same time Zambia will never accept mockery, slander, violence or hatred toward the homosexuals nor anyone else. The Zambian fraternity will ever stick to the slogan “One Zambia one nation”.

It appears to me that you have not yet come across 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. The Bible does not condone homosexuality. However, speaking from a scholarly point of view, the above article does not address the matter effectively to help a skeptic mind understand.

Mushota your arguments are biased as you have misinterpreted the Holy Scriptures to satisfy your biased view. The Greek word used in the original language if transliterated is arsenokoitai which refers to one who has intercourse with a man as with a woman. If you want to check in more literal translation check the ESV, NASB or even the Greek Bible. I think the question you must ask yourself is why then do other translations have “homosexuals”? Ignoring reality and the truth does not make one’s argument right. Please, I would advise you to do your homework very well before you use the Bible because you will find yourself misleading yourself. Ok in order not to confuse anything, let’s take out the Bible out of this equation. Let’s just look at the human body in isolation. The anal cavity is a one way tunnel. It was designed to discharge only and not to receive. The punani on the other hand was designed to both discharge (urinate) and to recieve (penis and sperm for ovary eggs etc). The popualtion on earth would have gone extinct if men were only sleeping with men and women with women. If men were meant to sleep with men they would have had ovaries so they can bare kids as well.
