Davies Nkausu leaves SuperSport Utd

Defender Davies Nkausu has left SuperSport United for Bloemfontein Celtic.

The 28-year-old is the fourth 2012 Africa Cup winner on the move in the January transfer window that closed on Friday.

Nkausu joins Celtic on a two and a half year deal after five seasons at SuperSport whom he earlier joined in 2008 from University of Pretoria.

Other notable names on the move last month were Stopilla Sunzu and Nathan Sinkala who moved on long and short term deals respectively to French club Sochaux from DR Congo club TP Mazembe.

Defender Hichani Himonde too was on the move after leaving Mazembe for Mamelodi Sundowns.

Meanwhile, one player who is staying put after generating a lot of media attention in January is striker Jacob Mulenga.

The injured striker stays put at Dutch club FC Utrecht and will now see out the remainder of his contract that expires at the end of this season.
