Zesco United exit Confederation Cup

Zesco United have beaten Medeama 1-0 in their 2014 CAF Confederation Cup last 16 return leg.

However, the win at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Sunday was not enough to see them through to the knock-out stage after bowing out 2-1 on aggregate to their opponents from Ghana.

Zesco’s lone goal came in the 47th minute through Jackson Mwanza.

  1. One after another we go through the exit door. For 30 years we havent progressed to a quarter final. We need a big plan for club soccer. The tired format we inherited from the British isn’t working. How about we try the Brazillian format?

    • I agree this focus on every thing our colonial master left us is a big cause of our failure to go forward. Brazil has won 5 World Cups whatever they are doing works. let’s copy success not the people who brought us new technologies

    • So, fellow Zambians lets stop expecting miracles at National Team level with the Such a horrible sample space

  2. ZESCO SWITCHED OFF..The technical part in the Zambian football circles still leaves so much to be desired bakaamba…we need professional psychologists not Ing’anga OR sang’omas or bamuzimu….see the way my TEAM The Gallants MINE COPS – KONKOLA MINE POLICE FC….. will fare this year with my free services as the psychologist… I FEEL SO SAD FOR OUR NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES…

    • Its where you face defenders, dribble, then score and not making 83 crosses in the box without scoring

  3. Now we able to see what Kalusha was saying about our local coaches that they need advanced training to be able to handle games at high level.
