Patriotic Front (PF) officials and cadres in Kasama have rejected the reconciliation between party leader, Michael Sata, and Kasama Central Member of Parliament, Saviour Chishimba.

The PF officials and cadres resolved during a heated meeting called on Saturday that they will not recognize the reconciliation.

Northern Province PF chairman, Frederick Chisanga, said the truce is between the two leaders and the party has nothing to do with it.

Mr. Chisanga said as far as PF members in Kasama were concerned, Dr. Chishimba is expelled from the Patriotic Front.

He said Mr. Sata should have consulted the grassroots before deciding to pardon the rebel MP.

And Kasama District PF chairman, Evaristo Bwalya, said the people of Kasama will not forgot the abusive language that Dr. Chishimba used against them in the recent past.

Pinkly, just crudely: genuine reconcilistion is welcome, but if you want to reconcile because the things you wanted to do did not work out as you thought, then that is crocodile reconciliations. Chishimba and other PF rebels were riding one old man Sata. They failed to represent people’s views, but were more pre-occupied with wealth and personal gain. They should now face the power of the people whose views did not reach parliament.

  27. In politics there are no permanent friends just like there are no permanent enemies. There are only permanent interests. So Sata will rencocile with Chishimba if his interests are better served that way and he will reject Chishimba if he does not advance Sata’s cause. PF is Sata’s party and you are all serving Sata’s interests. That is the danger with one man dictatorships. But if it were a democratic party, then a convention would have resolved these differences in a collective way. But now, muli Pabwatoo bwakwe Sata – dance to the tune, Hahahahaha!!

    I will answer that one.Chishimba went too far,he was given some money by some pipo so that he can bring confussion mu PF,unfortunately he agreed and brought confussion to an extent where he sued Sata for nothing.He betrayed his friends.

    I agree with you when you said that the Bible talks about reconciliation you are right my dear,but it also says do not yoke with unbelievers,Iam not saying Chishimba is unbeliever,but getting money in unlawful manner worries me.Anyway PF why dont you give him a second chance,may be he has repented,and if God has forgiven him who are we to condemn him?

  43. What PF cadres are doing is tantamount to creating anarchy in the party.Each organisation has a line of command that has to be respected. If these cadres cant respect their leaders,then i can foresee the kind of govt that form and the ensuing anarchy in our mothre Zed. But then we have the rural voters.

    To answer your Question candidly, I think its ok for the two to reconcile…but they should not expect everyone else to reconcile with him Chishimba)…The reconciliation is welcome for the two…it will be wrong for Sata and Chishimba to assume all is well with everyone else just becoz they have reached a TRUCE…NO!

  47. Waiting for a day when PF will stop fighting and quarelling is a very futile exercise because such a day only exists as an illusion, may be with new leadership. Not these current office bearers who believe that if you are not fighting then you are not a capable leader.
    It reminds me of childwood when we used to think that if you can terrorise all your pears the you are the man. Unfortunately PF members seem to have seen it fit not get rid of those ideas we used to have.

  76. #70 3RqU, my suggestion is for UPND and PF to use the period between 2009 to sit down and discuss not about who will lead the pact but hamonisation of there suggested development ideologies so that they come up with one. After that, they can hold a joint convetion and elect collective leadership. Sata and HH should not contest! in short, UPND and PF should just merge….also bringing the likes of Magande, Fundanga and Criticles Mwansa as think tanks. This will also heal the divisions in the country and give stronger opposition to MMD. Another five years of the same…then Zed is doomed!…
