Southern Province Minister Daniel Munkombwe has defied calls to step down as PF Provincial Chairman after he was accused of causing divisions in the party.

Some PF members in Southern Province have called for Mr Mukombwe’s resignation, accusing him of causing confusion and belonging to the Wynter Kabimba camp.

But Mr Munkombwe vowed not to resign saying only President Michael Sata has powers to remove him from his positions.

He said he has done a lot for the PF in Southern Province and has managed to grow the party in the province.

“It is absurd to ask me to go now after I have grown the party in Southern Province. I will not resign because only the President can remove me from his position,” Mr Munkombwe said.

The veteran politician observed that only a handful of PF members are pushing for his removal from his position.

“It’s only a few disgruntled members, only about 15 or so who are against me at the helm of the people. All these allegations against me are not true. I have been a loyal member of the PF and I shall continue doing so until President Sata says no, please rest.”

  1. Ya ya old man stay on. Its politics of benefits. Even Edgar Lungu has concurred with you that you are all in politics to eat.

    • Even when a Goat becomes president you will still be loyal to it because all you want is to eat. The character is “Directionless”

    • Wynter was saying the same. Munkombwe, please go. Your ally has now started farming after getting the boot on his ass. It’s always honourable to resign on your own rather that getting sacked. At your age you need to preserve the little dignity you may still have, even among your family members.

    • Come on Kuku; just hang on in there! There’s still a lot of eating or is it feasting to be done. There’s 2 more years of ‘kulya kabotu’ until 2016! I hope you’re the one picked for the orientation programme of your cousin Liambai Lingweshi (Zambezi Tigerfish)! Live long and eat!

    • For sure Mukombwe how can you resign, what do people in PF think you will eat. You are there for your stomach, therefore, there is nothing odd with your position on this matter.

  2. Yaa!!!! Tusha mambala. Isansa kuchinjanya. Palya ponse watampira ukulya weka. Nensoni tawakwata. Iyooo!!! Let others also participate in these positions of leadership.

    • PLEASE, LEAVE BA MUNKOMBWE ALONE. IMWE MWE BAICE NENCITO TAMUBOMBA MUNYAFYE AMASUSHI. IT’S TRUE, MUNKOMBWE HAS GROWN THE PF PARTY IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE. DON’T TALK OF AGE. ZAMBIA IS A DEMOCRACY. ANYONE CAN BE ANYTHING.

  3. thats the only problem with PF; everyone points to sata. u r the one who r making him have health challenges because even things that u can act on you want him to act

  4. Old wind bags blowing hot air. Zambians are tired of these dinasours and it is time for them to leave the political scene.

    • THEY CAN’T LEAVE IF YOU ARE ALL OVERSEAS MULEPIPA ABASUNGU. GO BACK HOME AND THE POSITIONS WILL BE FOR YOU. HOW HAS MILES SAMPA OCCUPIED HIS CURRENT POSITION? ITS BY BEING THERE IN ZAMBIA. NOT UKUBWATILA KUNSE YA CHALO NGA BAKUWE.

  5. “Chameleon Eyes” Munkombwe is right not to resign. Bembas have to realise that other Zambians have a stake in the national cake.

    • @ m2020,u a rit THIS IS BEMBA TACTICS 2 KICK DE OLD MAN OUT AFTER HE HAS BROUGHT MANY MEMBERS 2 DE PARTY HAHAHAHA..HEHEHE.HIHIHI..BEMBAS STOP USING OTHER TRIBES AND LATER DUMP THEM AFTER U MEET U EXPECTATION.ALL NONE BEMBAS BE CAREFUL IF NOT U LL BE USED AS KABIMBA AND MUKWOMBWE LIKE CONDOMS.

  6. Why should I resign?? Zambian’s please if I resign, who will fill my rumbling Belly?
Let me stay, as my Belly is more important than any suffering poor Zambian.
. Yours, Daniel, Belly – Munkhombwe.

  7. Munkombwe cannot resign under any circumstances, unless he is just fired. The old man has no morals and principles, all that matters to him is the belly. This is what has earned him the title of the’ Father of the politics of the belly Theory’. Nibamuselela kwakaba,,,,,kwaloloomwela eko balola..

  8. This is how it started with kabimba now munkombwe , if I were him I would just resign. What is the old man still grumbling & resisting for ? Hasn’t he made a lot from the pf ?
