Justice Florence Mumba courts Japanese Investors

Share

Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) chairperson Justice Florence Mumba has urged Japanese Investors to invest in Zambia by highlighting various opportunities in various sectors of the Zambian economy.

Justice Mumba urged Japanese companies to consider investing in the tourism, agriculture, and the manufacturing industry which have been identified as priority sectors by the Zambian government.

She said there was great potential for investments in the energy sector as Zambia was experiencing shortage of power.

Justice Mumba also urged Japanese companies to seriously consider investing in value addition and as Zambia’s copper production is focused to unprecedently rise by 2011.

She added that the current smelting capacity was small at 3,000 metric tonnes against production output of over 550,000 metric tonnes.

Speaking at the same seminar, Zambia’s Ambassador to Japan, Godfrey Simasiku, has urged that country’s public and private sector to explore investment opportunities in Zambia.

Mr. Simasiku says enormous investment potential exists in many sectors of the Zambian economy such as in mining and power generation.

Speaking today during a seminar for promoting investment in Zambia focusing on mining in Tokyo, Japan, Mr. Simasiku further pointed out that Zambia was politically stable hence a safe haven for investment.

He also explained that the cost of doing business in Zambia had been reduced by establishing the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), which acts as one stop centre for investment.

And Director for Geological Survey Department, Kennedy Liyungu said with the progress made so far in the discovery of oil and gas in the country, 29 blocks have been demarcated for oil and gas prospecting.

He said tender bids for interested companies will be opened in 2009 and has since requested Japanese companies to consider participating in prospecting for gas and oil in Zambia.

Mr. Liyungu said iron, manganese and nickel deposits have been found adding that other rare earth metals, nickel deposits have been found in Southern and Uranium deposits in North Western Provinces.

On Wednesday, December 17, 2008 the Zambian Embassy in Tokyo co-organized a seminar for promoting investment in Zambia focusing on mining and was sponsored by the Japan International Cooperation (JICA), Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) and Mitsui Mineral Development Engineering Company, Limited (MINDECO).

  1. Isn’t this woman supposed to be in Zambia facilitating voter registration than wasting time going around the world to get infestors. When did she become part of Mr Banda’s cabinet. Isn’t this supposed to be Mutati’s job. The ECZ has a lot of logistical problems that everybody knows about. Isn’t that what she is supposed to be sorting out than running around doing the job RB’s cabinet is supposed to be doing. No wonder some people think she is compromised

  2. Stop wasting time on investors and build your own efficent Zambian system. They will just steal and go what is worng with the freebies UNIP generation. Chile uses there own Engineers and Expertise they will easily go past low copper prices.

  3. Florence is now reaping for doing a good job of Rigging. in what capacity is she representing zambia in japan. i thought this job is for government officials, this is why we need independent organisation to run ECZ.she is now enjoying her money she was given by GRZ at the expense of zambians. its okay, mind you not all days are sundays.

  4. I will not say anything about these Investors, coz Bwana mukubwa has just cut 365 jobs for poor Zedians. What will stop these same choncholis from doing the same.Eish!!! ~X(~X(~X(~X(~X(

  5. Ba Florence, you have resurfaced, its good because we have so many questions for you regarding 2008 election malpractices. Concentrate on improving the electral system rather than wasting time with investors, you are not an expert in that area. our memories are still fresh as regards election malpractices which you handled with your infamous kalale. In 2011 we want to see free and fair elections and not the crap what we have experienced before.!

  6. Ine nadabwa????.anyway its jack of all trades now,and i rest my case,so matworld, rashid.please i beg you not to talk to me today.

  7. What a patriotic Zambian woman, despite her huge responsibilities as Chairperson of ECZ she still finds time to assist the country by wooing investors who will help to create jobs. Now look at Sata, we have never heard him speaking in terms of attracting investors. We wonder how he expects to create employment.

  8. Hey thanks for showing us that you were an interested party after all. What has ECZ got to do with investing in Zambia? Do these guys have role profiles defining their job descriptions? Awe mwe,

  9. Iwe mumba, you even talk about smelting capacity and production output, again this is not your area and you can get actual targeted figures from us and not just read figures you dont understand. You can mislead the people as you did during elections.

  10. Girly and Baby C how are you today? hope today Ba LT wont chase you with their News.Missed you guys.Today Iam Not okay Ci dogfridah and ci Chola have dissapointed me.Eish!!!!

  11. Zambians..ofcourse foreign investment is good but local Investment is better because local people will not run away with money when things aRe tough like this time. We need both local and foreign investment in the country. Not 100% foreign as it is now. When are Zambians going to be ivestors???? Please let us solve problems for our selves though ofcourse we need foreigners contribution. Not the way it is today in Zambia, its like Zambian we cant manage any business the thing I refuse with contempt. What we need is help from Govt so that we also invest in these Mines. Kaunda did it why cant we also do it? Let us balance investment composition( 50 – 50 local and foreign). YES WE CAN!!! :

  12. I thing Mr Mumba is now like a prostitute. What hell is she doing there and in what capacity. This is why even RB doesnst have a vision how could she send Mumab to do what. Hell that woman she looks gud its for she is like a prostitute i will haunt her. ZED where are going. You guys that are fond of enjoying over Poor ZED you will be answerable.

  13. Oh!! My sweetness Lusaka I have been waiting for you my dear to put a smile on my face.I tell you Ci Dogfridah na ci chola have pissed me off.hope you wont do the same to me my dear.
    :x:x:x:x

  14. No wonder she rigged the elections, she is part of the unpopular govt with Danny Kalale the OP. Golyati ulichipuba sana. Do you think she is smart to cheat Zambians. In what capacity is this single lady representing Zambia? God RB is the clueless and most unpopular president Zambia has ever produced. Where is the minister of commence and industry or Mines and natural resources? We it pays to rig and present unpopular govt.

  15. Yet another unstructured attempt at “wooing” investors through story telling. Surely if I had a bucket load of money why would I listen to the head of the Israli electoral agency telling me a story about their citrus fruit industry and why I should invest in it? The structure of these shows has always been wrong. All that capitalists like me want to be told is the fiscal regime in place and how property rights are protected. Rather then leave me to find the idea that shall make me the money. If you REALLY want me to open a smelter then present a robust proposal complete with forecasted accounts and equity/debt requirements. Not just story telling….even I can go to Japan and do that…..!!

  16. #25.How are you my dear? You want me to shut up,ok if that pleases you then I will definately do that. For I believe you have a reason why you want me to shut up.enjoy blogging and have a lovely day.god bless you my dear.

  17. #25

Who are you???? Ifyabupuba kachelochelo, nshilefwaya.

You ve got so many names under sun which you can chose from why mine. If you hate Matworld and the rest, come out in the open and say rather than hiding in my name. Fuuuuulllll!!!!!

Matword That Chi #25 is not really me. Am afraid , i have no other option but change my name

  18. Justice Florence Mumba, this is not your job. Your job is not to court investors.

I think you should look at your job description once again and follow its specifications.

Next thing will have the army general courting foreign investors from North Korea.

Please, lets stick to our jobs.

  19. Real Baby C I I know you can not do that.If that Fake Baby C Hates me then that’s okay, but I will love Him/her more than he/she hates me.Iam nice guy!The Bible tells me in Matthew 5 vs 44 to love my enemies and those who persecute me.

  20. #32Matworld-Nice guy! What makes you believe that #25 is not the real baby c.Wake up the girl is a player, she is playing you.Baby c(#25) and Real baby c(#29) have the same Ip-address.She is the same girl!

  21. If the Investors want to invest, let them come on their own,and not making a trip to China,India,or Japan (mubanyengelera).Thats why, when they come, they bring with them their own conditions and we start dancing to their tune.Guys;Zambia is for Zambians,DO NOT SELL OUR COUNTRY,we can manage to put things together and develop our Country.

  22. #17. Golyati
I salute you attitude and thinking.
That is how all progressive Zambians aught to think.
I am shocked that some people are asking why she is talking about investors instead of the electoral system.
Oh no! that is sad attitude from such citizens, very umpatriotic.
And for Mumba to focus on improving the electoral system she needs money, and they think investment is not importatant?
I believe that attracting investors is not the sole responsibility of govt, but Zambia. Even myself, if I am out of Zambia I must be able to talk about investment environment in Zambia and promote it.
You point out rightly when you say that SATA is never heard talking about wining investors.

  23. The major press outlets are abuzz this morning with news of a major new security flaw that affects all versions of Internet Explorer from IE5 to the latest beta of IE8. The attack has serious and far-reaching ramifications — and they’re not just theoretical attacks. In fact, the flaw is already in wide use as a tool to steal online game passwords, with some 10,000 websites infected with the code needed to take advantage of the hole in IE.

Virtually all security experts (as well as myself) are counseling users to switch to any other web browser — none of the others are affected, including Firefox, Chrome, and Opera — at least for the time being, though Microsoft has stubbornly said it “

  24. #38. wake up,How are you my dear? Iam really surprised why out of all the pipo on this site this Baby C picked me,yesterday she said she hates me,today she told me to shut up.does this mean I talk alot or what? anyway Matworld believe in Peace, love and Joy.So no hurstle.

  25. Acting with record speed, Microsoft has issued a patch for the just-announced security flaw that impacts all recent versions of Internet Explorer, from version 5 to the latest betas of IE 8. The next security update had not been due from the company until January 13, making this a very rare occurrence.

    Getting the update is easy.

With any version of Windows, just run Windows Update, which you’ll find in IE’s Tools menu or in the Windows Start menu under “All Programs.” Vista users can just type “Windows Update” in the Start menu search box to pull it up, then click “Check for updates” on the left side of the window. Either an Express or Custom run of Windows Update will find the patch

  26. SATA as an opposition leader has never been seen to have won or attracted any investors.
Unfortunately his followers think this is the way to go.
And as such they call him man of action.
What action are we talking about, criticizing?
You may say he built mezaf, rehabilited the UTH mortuary, he built the fly-over bridges and that is it. Should you be called man of action for such little things. If everyone was like Mr. SATA we would not be sleeping because of the songs of, “I did this and that”.
You see, Zambia is not just about the fly-over bridge, merzaf and renovated mortuary. There are raods, schools, colleges, universities, power, water and many other infrastructure.

  27. #42.Matworld-Nice guy! I’m fine bro.You are free to contribute here. This is a free world and free LT.As far as i’ve been following your postings,i see some sense and i’m sure most of the vistors and bloggers appreciate your postings.Continue with the same spirit.I can see that you are realy a good humble man looking at the way you have reacted to the sarcastic comments posted by baby c.

  28. #45 cont’d…
And merzaf is just a small section of Chilenje; how about those who spearheaded the whole Chilenje, should they singing?
Mortuary is just a small section of UTH, should the ones who spearheaded UTH be singing?
Fly-over bridges are built on big roads, Great North Road, Church and Independence; should those behind these roads be singing like SATA.
We have the many secondary schools, colleges and universities should those that spearheaded these infrastructure be singing?
We have Power stations (zesco), water infrustructure, general & district hospitals and many other things should those that spearheaded such be singing?
You are not a ‘man of action’ by singing big, No!

Sata’s songs are the ONLY recent ones!
Others can’t sing because they have no songs!
Many, in government, have not written any songs and probably never will write any songs!
Please let Sata sing his songs, they are nice songs!

  35. No. 51 Fine, I like you thinking sometime back I used to wounder, for once I thought the man was a bricklayer.
“I built the fly over bridge.” so he says

    Hey people I haven’t mentioned any names.:d

  36. #60 Ba Moze, this was just an observation to get myself “warm” before I comment on the actual story. A little tradition of mine:d

  37. #51 FINE ### wabwera??? dear how did u sleep. How has nyama soya your boss waken up. Good you are here we missed you. we were wondering whether nyama soya fired you. Thanks you are still arround.

You say sata sings about what he has done…hhhmmmm whats good to sing about what you have done and people see them or to promise lies like nyama soya??? Ba FINE sure amano yapwa nomba…..previously your contributions were making sense but now you have also gone the nyama soya way…FINE thats want we want your boss to sing-about what he has done..so let him start working now. Not always complaining like ka baby. He is old enough to face the problems ..OK!!! :-w:-w:-w

  38. Bloggers help me quench my curiosity please…what has Florence Mumba got to do with wooing investors to Zambia? Isn’t this someone else’s job description? I feel this is just one of the numerous cases where government trips and invitations for technocrats are abused by the ruling elite. What has the so-called independent Electoral Commission got to do with investors? What is happening in Zambia kanshi? Honestly, I am at a loss..it appears we have lost direction and order as a result anyone is doing anything anywhere. Be warned! Such recklessness opens up avenues for abuse and corruption.

  39. Zambia..Zambia ohhh Zambia! What’s happening? And now they are telling us that our Veep is in Central Province on a familiarization tour. Lies! Our ailing Veep is going round Central Province in search of African potato…let them just say the truth instead of lying about fertilizer and all that nonsense. Anyway, go ahead Bwana Veep am sure African Potato will do you good because mwasila Boss.

  40. Hey fellow bloggers

I have Decided to Change my name with immediate effect. Reason being, there is another person on this blog who is claiming to be Baby C. Only God Knows why. I love my Nick, but i have no option… Sorry my dear bloggers.

To the fake Baby C, you can go on and have that name, I don’t care. But ulichipuba!

    Ba Moze welcome back.

  41. Mukelabai

Am speechless too. have they swapped jobs with Mutati? This is what we mean when we say that the country is in dissary. It is like Thandiwe appointing cabinet ministers. I mean…..really. 😮

  42. Real baby C

Am very annoyed also. infact, Extremly annoyed with that chi fake Baby fimo fimo. Alaa. Afumine kwisa? Thats the Question. Banyina Kulu.
Am ok mwana. Just missed you guys.

  43. #67. Kambongolo
What makes me wonder is the fact that SATA renovates a mortuary he starts singing; Someone who built the UTH doesn’t.
SATA builds a fly-over bridge he starts singing; another person builds the Great East Road and does not sing.
SATA builds Merzaf, and little section of counted houses in Chilenje he starts singing; all other people who built the whole Chilenje and other full residential areas in Lusaka and other parts of Zambia they dont sing.
People built schools, colleges and universities they are not singing.
The question is why does SATA sing? Slowly I am beginning to find the answer; I thought he was just a ‘commedian’, now I know that he is also a good ‘singer’.

  44. **==**==**== she is comfused by the term COURT, being a judge she thought its her field,Alas, thats Mutati’s work and he is the best minister so far.

I hope everyone is now clear……

  45. I wonder how some people think development of zambia is the duty of politicians.
While I agree that politicians must spearhead, we all need to develop our country.
You as a citizen, you cannot be out there and provided with an opportunity to promote investment you fail to utilise it because your mentality tells you that you are not a politician in govt. Sad!
Every Zambian must be ready to promote Zambia’s plight within and without.
The problem is that some people dont want to hear the word ‘investor’ but they just want to be told ‘more money in your pocket’. Such people will never see investment as the basis for ‘more money in your pocket’.

  46. Ala kwena ka Baby C kalangunfwisha bwino. She doesnt say much in her comments.kalanda fye utunono kalabako. Not useless Creatures like Fine and chi Golyati full of irrelevants. Some chaps are very dull. Hey iwe gong’a Baby C.You wil run away here, why do you want to trouble my Only Baby C!

  47. 75 Fine…You lack exposure and political intellect to appreciate Number 67’s line of argument Period! Don’t you know that in a democracy canvassing for votes means offloading your track record for public scrutiny? Obama, Clinton, Joe Biden, John McCain are perfect examples of people that sang about their achievements. So why can’t Sata or HH even do it? Some of you don’t sing because you have no achievement to your name. Don’t be petty give us something reasonable to debate about not your misguided rabid attacks on innocent people whose only crime they have committed is to do something memorable. Shame!

  48. Ba Moze, I’m fine, thanks and I hope you’re OK too.
I feel sorry for Baby C. I know how it feels to be impersonated by somebody else, because it has happened to me too. It is actually defamation of character and such people should be banned by LT.
All other fellow LT bloggers will do well to ignore the fake Baby C and continue to endorse the real Baby C…

  49. #75 FINE### Fine boyi…hello i like you but not love you dont mistake me.

Now listen, politics is different from business. I can be a manager of good company and will not boast about how I have done what and that for the company. To whom am I going to boast? Now when it comes to democractic politics you have now to show people what you have done and what you will do for them. Take the example of USA …the Democratics failed coz there was evidence with people that they had failed to improve the country. Obama capitalised on that and continued singing economic improvement song up to election day. It paid him.you see thats politics. Convince people that you can work not lies…OK!!!

  50. #80. Mukelabai,
If singing you track record was the only measure of your so-called ‘political intellect’ then SATA would have won in 2001, 2006, and 2008.
I must again say that if singing you track record was the only measure of your so-called ‘political intellect’ John McCain would have won last month.
Your idea of the so called ‘political intellect’ seems too narrow, and politically incomplete and incompetent.
Three times you ‘political intellect’ has failed to see SATA to State House.
If I were you I would redefine this thing you call ‘political intellect’.

  51. Next RB reshuffles in January, 2009!!!

Judge Florence Mumba is to be appointed Commerce & Trade Minister replacing Mutati, and Mutati will go to Electoral Commission as Chairperson.
WHAT A REGIME!! ITS NOW ANIMAL FARM

  52. Nine Chale

It seems am also becoming a victim of these fake bloggers. Chi Babie nachishupa. Who ever this babie is, awee, nakana. 😮

  53. #85 FINE#### You dont cease to amaze me. Now you are talking about Sata not winning elections. Are you in Zambian or out of Zambia. Who does not know that 2006 and 2008 elections were rigged???? Why has RB nyama sayo filed for dismisal of Sata’s application for the recount of this year-october eclections??? Thats why am saying ba FINE amano yapya nomba. Chinshi chachitika??? When you started you strted very fine as your name. Now I dont know what has happened to you. 54. Ba Moze, if Babie is really a girl, the reaction will show: they usually go into a huff (icipyu) when you say “no”. Nga alimbikila then either she’s mega-desperate or she’s really in love with you.
I have never met a girl who “slide-tackles” a man. It’s just not natural.

  63. #100,iwe chi mmd cadre. You even have the guts to appear here, and ask your fellow mad person Fine if he is mmd.Do you know that most of the problems Zambians are facing is as a result of your mmd government? They exported maize to Zimbabwe and Congo DR. Hence creating the short in Zambia and eventually high mealie meal prices. Where is the fertiliser which your president promised farmers? Your president is having fundraising ventures for the mmd party he even donated k10m,when babies are dying at UTH in the paediatric ICU when power goes because the generators are not enough. NCC,only a few individuals are benefiting, spending so much money there when the poor Zambians are suffering. And then you appear here with your big mouth like a hippo ati mmd cadre! disappear we chipuba!

Pilishii bloggers keep an eye on him.

    Thanks.

  65. #111. russia moscow,
I am not amazed that you are inspired by SATA.
SATA has to inspire those of his kind, and that is expected.
SATA inspired you for 10 years when he was in government with Chiluba. He even wanted to continue so that he could inspire you for an extra 5 years to make it 15 years with the Chiluba you now want to beat at funerals, when SATA himself likes the man’s leadership.
I must emphasize, any class if people inspire themselves, unfortunately even theives inspire themselves. Chiluba inspired SATA and SATA inspires you, and am not bothered about that inspiration.
With such inspiration I would rather not get inspired; Chiluba and SATA to be role models, No way!

  66. #115 cont’d..

During his 10 years with Chiluba, SATA inspire you by Killing manufacturing.
    SATA inspired you by killing the agric industry;
    SATA inspired you by killing the mining industry;
    SATA inspired by giving long term tax concessions to foriegn vendors like Supreme furnishers, ackermans, and other South African vendors, who made Zambia a dumping place;
    SATA inspired you by contributing greatly to the economic mess we are in today;
    SATA inspired you by helping form the laws governing Electoral Comm. of Zambia;
Finally, SATA inspired you by bringing and championing the ‘third term’, and has continued to inspire you. Amazing!

  67. Ha! Ha! Ha! Unga seke Mwe!! Lusaka Times got it wrong!! Its Florence Mumba from Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) who was in Japan.Dlorence is Director for Investment and Privatization at ZDA

To avoid problems, please correct the wrong impression, otherwise ba Justice Mumba will sue you! :d[-(

  69. #121. I attended that seminar yesterday! It was Florence Mumba from ZDA that delivered. If you want toprove the story, call anyone at ZDA. Florence is now in Hong Kong on her way to Lusaka.

Lusaka Times, please correct teh story before you fall in trouble and people lose confidence in your stories! [-(

  71. Ba Kambongolo
You have spent so much time and space on this blogg today waffling and shooting off your butt. What has Sata done to inspire any decent Zambian man?.Built one fly over bridge near Zesco when orther already built two at the post office and kamwala. Built Merzaf when others built coplexes and estates such as Kabwata, mulungushi village, millenuim village, kwacha east, mushili bonano and Ndeke police camp. He renovated and built morturies when others created cemetaries and built hospital and cancer clinics.
Addresed huge rallies full of kaponyas when others have addresed the general assembly of the UN. Sata’s so called achievements are only seen as significant by his kaponyas

  72. Her Title says Electral commission Chairperson, What has that got to do with attracting investors?? I am having a hard time undestanding this. Maybe she was at an elctral seminar takling about the wrong topic. These are our Zambian professionals. Wilatusebanya!!!

Wrong topic Ba judge!! You should have been in courst solving the Judicial system that is corrupt!!

  73. #125. Gentelemani,
    Thanks man!
This is the open thinking we need, not blinded by emotions and feelings at the expense of ration.
The only strength SATA has is that he learnt early, through experience, that marjority are easy to manipulate.
But he must understand that there are non-closed up minded people like you and me, and many other Zambians including progressive villagers who do not have the mind of a kaponya.
I may not agree to everything that the govt is doing but to think that SATA can ever be an alternative after messing up the nation with Chiluba is not possible.

My friend we expect every Zambian to take every opportunity to market Zambia within and outside, whenever they have chance.
This means that even your maid or garden boy if they are reasonably informed must do the job based on their understanding of the business climate they see in Zambia.
It could even be as simple as telling a tourist a simple sentence such as “Zambia has a lot of land in mukushi for farming” of “There is a lot of copper on the copperbelt of Zambia”. These are important and may carry great potential. Everybody can!
The mentality of waiting for govt to do everything will continue kill our country. That is bad mentality.

  75. Every person is talented and experienced in a certain category or industry. I think we have professionals that are trained to bring development and attract investors.

That is the reason why we all think we have an opinion on every subject. She was stepping on someones toes dude!!

We know ever body can tell someone sentences like you have suggested but we have people that can articulatly present facts and enough detailed business analysis to attract investor. I appreciate your comments though.

  76. Merely telling some that we have plenty land or enough copper does not gurantee a serious investor to come especially if you are courting Japanese. There is more to just saying we have this and that! You need convincing plans and thats why I said Florence was not the best candidate for such a topic.

  77. Dear Maestro Hhehhehhehhe

    Where is HH?
Why is it that he only exist when its time for elections.

I cannot hide you I really wanted HH to bring change pa Zed,but its like he will never do that.
He is not perfoming the duties of the opposition party.Iam sure you have done civics before.
One duty of the opposition is to oppose the govt when they are not doing the right thing.
Now that HH is quiet, tells me alot about him.
its like all is well with him even when Zambians needs help from him.
I have never heard him say anything about the economic crisis zed is facing. Is it because he thinks its okay or what? to tell you the truth HH has really disapointed me.

  78. #125-Gentleman ## I think you are very far from fine…FINE boyi sory i thought naupwa but there is this worse person gentleman who is far from reality. He says sata is sorounded by kaponyas, is it true?? Who have been voting for sata..is it not Lusaka and copper belt? Where do u find educated people..is it not Lusaka and copper belt? So you mean the nurses, teachesrs, shushus, miners, doctors, etc are kaponyas??? Please dont be strong headed, analyse issues with your brain. Here we are not talking about Sata this Sata that but about the economy which has gone to the dull regime. Has sata got anything to do with the false promises you made to the dull villagers. Just deliver your promises man.:-w:-w

  79. In the wake of the election turmoile the Zambia is facing, justice Mumba has compromised the neutrality of the electoral commission.
Ms. Mumba is welcome to explain government policy, but, as chairperson during the just ended elections, which the opposition have contested in court as “fradulent” and as such, “not free and fair”, she must first resign to save the image of the electoral commission.

Much as every Zambian is welcome as partriotic ambassordors, the electoral commission chairperson is tied, and must always be neutral.
A Banda mbuya, serious abate this anarchy, and do not put Zambians into disrupute by taking them for granted, and diffuse that time bomb…!

  80. Judge should be takling about constitional review and other Judicial related matters. epotuyitayila mu Zambia,

Because we ask the wrong people to speak on matters they are not competent in. No wonder we elect dull politicians to run affiars of the country and we are the first ones to complain. THERE IS TOO MUCH GOVERNMET IN EVERYTHING. THEY SAID THEY HAD LIBERALIZED THE ECONOMY!! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?? NO GOVERNMENT INTERERANCE

  81. #127 you are wrong. We can’t all be doing the same thing. We must have a systematic way of attracting investors. In what capacity is Florence attracting investors? In any case Zambia is not desperate for every jim and jack who calls himself an investor, that is why you are bringing crooks from china who are stealing our copper. Let professionals in those areas do that.

By the way Japan developed without foreign investors, the story is the same with China, South Korea, Singapore etc. Zambia should come up with her own development model, foreign investors will not developm our economy.

  82. 136, What do you mean am wrong.Did you read my 127 posting right?? I am sorry am having a hard time understading your posting. Seems like you have two sides of the same story.

  83. Zambia’s destine lines in the hands of Zambia. You f**ls don’t you read the signs on the walls copper and minerals are of the past besides the world market is going to be flat for the next 20 yrs. We have too many opportunities in Zambia and build Zambia with people and resources. **==**==

  84. People It is not Judge Florence Mumba. There is another Mrs Florence Mumba ( wife to a Mumba at BOZ)at ZDA she Director of Investment promotion. They have the same names and she is in Japan on an Investment promtion mission. You know bembas and easterners have limited number of names. that why they have resolted to naming children by names of cells phones and parts of vehicles.
