Zambia Drop To 3rd After Egypt Win

Share

Egypt moved into second place in Group C of the 2010 World/Africa Cup qualifiers after a 3-0 home win over Rwanda in Cairo tonight.

The African champions relegate Zambia to 3rd place on the same number of points but enjoy a better goal difference over Herve Renards side.

The games was scoreless until the 66th minute when Mohamed Aboutrika put Egypt ahead.

Hosni Rabbou made it 2-0 from the spot 11 minutes later before Aboutrika completed his brace in the 90th minute.

  1. we just have to force a draw against egypt and avoid allowing too many goals in algeria then we’ll be through to angola 2010… SA 2010? 4get it.

  2. 2 l j cole greetings and keep cool.

“We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ” (1 John1:3, NIV)

  3. They are just wasting money. Let them lose and come back to eat kapenta. Wish them a LOSE IN THE NEXT GAME.

  4. Zambia is still capable of an upset….These people that keep on throwing words of the Bible on this matter please stop, because God is a Fair God, this is why non-believers have won cups and believers have won cups, he will not make you win the group because your a Christian. It’s about heard work and your state of mind.

  5. #14. Don’t forget about history. Year-in-year-out, its the same story when zambia is playing. Why not just win convincingly. So when they lose (I HOPE SO), they will blame something. They should just understand that they are finished. Let them not waste money, but money should be paid to hard working nurses and teachers.

  6. # 9. Iwe Maestro Hakucincha, bushe ninshi taumfwila. STOP POSTING COMMENTS THE WAY YOU DO. Its irritating now.

  7. Am not sure the penalty was a penalty against Rwanda last night also I think the referee was blind as a bat number nine for Rwanda Kareyegesi was not protected enough…the real score should have been 1-0

  8. Sure even when they bring the World Cup at our door step we should miss it. Please guys work extra hard.

  9. Let them just LOSE . They are wasting money. I know they will never go to the world cup. Never.

  10. It was inevitable we lack the funding and our players lack international exposure. But we can try and give the two Arab nations a run for their money. Lets try for three points againts Eygpt. I know they complain about the pitch and facilities but we will have bagged three points.
    Go Chipolopolo!!

  11. Guys dont lose heart as if you have not done mathematics. Let us apply insamushi now . Ok by intergration and limitation we will go to the World cup. If the egpty ‘s and algeria’s wins for the remaining games aproach zero, then ours will approach 1 there by qualifying to the world cup. …..This time our mathematics will work since we are applying different method.

Go go go Zambia …iyee iyeeee Chipolopolo.

  12. Mathematics can’t work here. Its just a matter of hard work finish. Even Egypt is doing the same mathematics. So history will repeat itself. We will just be watching the world cup together on TV.

  13. Once a pirate always a pirate

We displayed our best football on the day we lost to Algeria, the real reasons behind a big loss are very unclear as the Algerians converted the only chances they had through out the entire match.

  14. Finish. And we have no one to blame. Rwanda came at our home ground and we only mastered a goal – even having a luxury of missing a penalty. Algeria came – you all saw the muppet we displayed. You win football through goals and not by displaying your best football and hitting woodworks when it came to scoring. Look at our friends the Arabs whenever they are playing at home and they get a chance at goal – Algeria gave Egypt 3 and now Egypt has given Rwanda 3. We are through with very remote chances. As football is a game of wonders, we need a miracle to qualify. It’s scoring and not just playing your best football – Best football my foot.

  15. Let’s close down the whole of Zambia as a country and sell it of to Libya. This country is finished and there is no hope that it wiill ever develop.

  16. # 16, What is irritating you about # 9 and his views? Is he not entitled to comment in whatever way he wants?

  17. 27 COME 2011 greetings. Following your “# 16, What is irritating you about # 9 and his views? Is he not entitled to comment in whatever way he wants?” thanks but be advised that the character is sick and wants to ride on my popularity.

Such are failures in life and you just leave them in that deluded state and hope that one day they will come round to normalcy. Someone said,“don’t argue with a f o o l for the onlookers may not notice the difference” and I am following this grate adage though I am not classifying that character in question as a f o o l.

    Have a nice day.

  18. Notice, how some right wing Christians , always impose themselvies on others E.g 30*.Instead for respecting others religions. Can you imagine whay will happen if a satanist put his scripture on this site.

  19. Did you know that CCV TV footage of the Egyptian team taking Prossies to there hotal rooms in S.A is available., so When they cum to Zed, ours ladies of the nite should finish them before the game, these are hungry leads. All Zed ladies lets work together to make a greater nation

  20. 31/2 kelvin, I strongly advise you to mind your own business in light of your “Notice, how some right wing Christians , always impose themselvies on others E.g 30*.Instead for respecting others religions. 21. I always want Zambia to qualify but there usually a disapointment even on the last minute. so i cant expect anything from them i can only start to think about world cup only after they qualify to world cup 2010 south Africa. For now i just have to imagine them going home…lets see what happens it may be a first…

  22. Number 14 you are right. If God indeed does play a part in sports why is it that so called christian countries like Zambia always struggle against Islamic nations. I think people should learn to understand that God does not influence results in footie. How many times have so called men of God prayed for Zambia whenever Zambia plays at the africa Cup? How many such cups has managed to lift? What does that teach you?

  23. Number.34, if you are such a good christian, then how do you call someone a failure. you may not be calling him a fool but you surely are suggesting it. I suggest to practice christianity on your self before trying to spread it.

  24. 37 kelvin, I suggest you check what failure means from a dictionary.

Otherwise, have a good day and try another trick to attract my attention for this one will not work.

  25. GOOD LUCK CHIPOLOPOL BOYS, EVERYONE KNOWS YOU CAN DO IT. ONLY 2 WINS WOULD DO IT FOR ZAMBIA. I KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO BEAT EGPYT IN HOME THIS TIME DESPITE WHAT HAPPENED WITH ALGERIA, AND YOU CAN ALSO FIGHT A WIN WITH RWANDA.DO NOT WORRY ABOUT ALGERIA THEIR ARE UNSTOPPABLE AT THIS POINT OF TIME. I DON’T THINK ANY TEAMWILL BEAT THEM. HENCE CONCETRATE ON THIS 2 GAMES. WISHING YOU THE VERY BEST OF LUCK. BUT IF YOU LOSE I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO ZAMBIA. AM OWN MY WAY TO JOIN YOU GUYS, SO WE CAN ZAMBIA A BETTER PLACE THAN EVER. GO GO GO ZAMBIA.
BY THEWAY, ZAMBIANS IF ZAMBIA DOESN’T QUALIFY TO ANY OF THE CUPS DON’T FIRE RENARD CAUSE HE HAS DONE A GOOD JOB. AND DON’T MAKE IT A HABITY TO FIRE EVERY COACH EVERYSEASON. THATS SO STUPID AND SHOWS HOW MISSUNDERSTANDING YOU ARE. ( VIPUBA)

  26. Always good to have hope but you can only get the best results if you prepare. Are we doing that? All the best CHIPOLOPOLO. Take us to the world cup. You can do it.

  27. People we still need Mbesuma in the squad if we are to score goals in the remaining games.I know some guys will not agree with.I watche the last match we lost against Algeria and its the front line that costed us the game.I must say that the likes of Mayuka and Jacob cant be compaired to Mbesuma Skillwise and experince.lets give him anothr chance!

  28. Maestro Hakucincha, don’t try an justify youeself calling someone a failure, in any language , it just not right. if you are wrong, just be a real christian and admit it were wrong and I will have no problem.

  29. zambia is not yet out, mathmatics does make you qualify, lets collect our points frm algeria, thn beat egypt, even afford a draws in Rwanda,go chipolopolo wht it means ageria would drop 6pts coz egypt will beat algeria in second leg.

  30. iwe bantu the situation is tricky here. we have to win to stay in, but to get that win on 5 th sept will be very hard.
