Share

teta2Local Government and Housing Minister Benny Tetamashimba says people should give credit to President Rupiah Banda for fighting corruption openly.
Speaking when he paid a courtesy on Mwinilunga District Commissioner, Mr Tetamashimba said President Banda has not hidden any corrupt activities in the Ministry of Health.

He stressed that President Banda has shown willingness to fighting corruption by exposing corrupt practices in the ministry of health.

“People should give credit to president Banda for not hiding corruption in the ministry of health” said Mr Tetamashimba.

Mr Tetamashimba said the president will continue fighting corruption openly till the vice is curbed in government ministries.

He complained that there is a lot of corruption in ministries as seen by many junior officers who have built big houses in some of the compounds in Lusaka.

“Junior office are building big houses in most of the compounds in Lusaka, there is too much corruption in ministries” he noted.

And Mr Tetamashimba has urged councillors to implore members of parliament to support the local government bill which was presented in parliament last week by local government minister.[quote]

He said once the bill goes through it will allow the ministry of local government to put council workers in management on government pay role.

Mr Tetamashimba said such a move will assist in the council to serve money to pay workers who are not in management.

He thanked council workers for continuing to work despite not getting paid for two years

Meanwhile Mwinilunga district commissioner Webster Samakase has praised government for send farming inputs on time.He disclosed to the local government minister that the district has received 1,160 by 50kg Compound D fertilizer and 10,329 by 50kg of urea.He also briefed the minister that the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) has commenced purchase of maize from the farmers.

  1. Teta never cease to amaze to me. His utterances are pretty spiteful and retrogressive! I don’t think any man in the right frame of mind would ever think RB has fought or is fighting corruption.Teta talks crap invariably !

  2. Is it an offence for a junior officer to build a house when there are many facilities to propell one to build ? This Teta is narrow-minded coz he just concentrates on MOH forgetting other ministries like Lands and Finance. Also the nepotism that is at Foreign Affairs with most of Levy’s relatives filling up most missions. This guy cant spend a day without yapping !!!!!

  3. Oh i got so emotional that i even wrote “amaze to me” instead of” amaze me” in my comment #2 above.Sorry my blood was boiling!!!

  4. Morning shimu chita panono, I have known you to write good English but was shocked with this apparent typographical error. Teta can surely annoy people . Have you checked out the reaction by L/Stone councillors over the Mayor;s alleged rape case ? The guy gets easily excited over nothing

  5. PRESIDENT Rupiah Banda has said former president Frederick Chiluba was a “damn good president.”… The Post

  6. Benny must Stop Smoking Dagga before Public speaking. That’s like saying Hitler tried to stop racism. At school when it came to acting bible scenes, he was never a wise man ( must of being the village *****).

  7. What fight iwe Teta. Appointing people with corruption cases to senior gvt posts does not show seriousness in the fight against corruption.

  8. Ba Teta you aways talk ama rubbish. please let choose good leaders next time. The tetas are just full of Rubbish Talks. IF RB can say that Chiluba was a Damm Good Leader where are you teta basing you opinion that RB is Fighting Corruption. If he was fighting Corruption i think he could not say Chiluba was a Damm Good Leader.

  9. Bloggers, did you see the picture of a woman on front page of the Post Newspaper of yesterday? It’s suprising that Bwezani even Teta wont condemn that indecent exposure purely because she belongs to MMD. The pictures showing a woman in labour are even better off than that one. Surely we have better ways of praising a person than that.

  10. I do not need to read the whole article just by reading the healine it tell alot. i think Teta is saying this with intent to annoy me. Democracy gave birth to plunderers and they all have corrupt followers. This man thinks using his heart. i am boiling as well like shimu chita panono # 2

  11. #15 YABA. That expose by that woman is the time that can arouse sexsual feelings. Am sure that is what MMD calls tradition

  12. The reason we dont progress as a country is we are rarely objective. Our analysis is seldom sober and lacks maturity. Why is it so difficult for us to look at both sides at any particular time? Check this: 1990-91: We were ready to kill anyone who said anything positive about KK or the risk of hoisting FJT to that throne. Perhaps we missed the opportunity to make FJT a better president, or at least we should have tried. Next, Levy was called cabbage and we insulted him into his grave. Its only after he died that we turned the page and looked at the flip side. Now we have RB. Are you sure that there is nothing positive about the man? Please, lets be serious guys, Zambia is ours and it will always be. Lets learn to be fair to all our leaders – ruling and oppositio

  13. #21, Fresh Politics. are you sure there is something good about RB. I would be interested to learn about this, please educate me.

  14. #21 if you are comfortable with your life or related to Kapoko, just keep quite. Even yo other posting was totally in favour of RB. It’s us the poor who are feeling neglected by these uncaring leaders. Will you pliz point out any significant issue that RB has brouhgt ever since taking up office as Repulican President? Is it the re-appointment of people like VJ, Dora, Mabenga and the others? Or is it the taking of all his children, grand children to Mfue and Zimbabwe at the expense of the tax payer? Yes we agree to give credit where it is due. Levy never tolerated corrupt pipo and we all knew that he was a disciplinarian. In RB’s govt, whoever opposes his views is fired or sidelined. So kindly tell me the good things that RB has done that can earn him a part on his back.

  15. Remember VJ is a Self-confused drug dealer. Interpol, still has a record on him for drug trafficking. He is the Spoke person of the MMD.

  16. Yes Mr. Maikalange, I will be very careful especially with you. The points to note however are:
    1. Please tone it down. We are all Zambians and should be able to debate as such. Remember that we were first Zambians before we started sympathising with whoever. For me, I am speaking as Zambian 2. You canot see any good if you don’t want to 3. I work with poor people and non of them even know what blogging is all about 4. You cannot expect everyone to look at things the same way as you do 5. We can surely do without hating fellow Zambians as we debate 6. You may spend alifetime grumbling about this and that at this rate

  17. Spectator (25), I am not sure if there are any. The only thing is that there is no person who is universally good or bad. I just feel that we need to be objective and be prepared to look at both sides because the two sides are always there in any situation.

  18. Why does the media worst their resources on barking dogs like teta. We should not grand media space to useless leaders.

  19. I think the biggest problem with Zambian politicians is cheap politicking, telling lies for the sake of political gain. We can sure do with people telling truth e.g. economic projections and rational parliamentary debates, not a bunch of lies everytime. I mean, things like correct economic projections can help us/citizens to make good investment/business decisions. In other countries politicians try, and they can confess were they have gone wrong.

  20. Which credit iwe Teta Malilo. This is the same thing that is provalking donors. How can you say RB did not hide anything as if he has the right to hide something. Apert from you Teta, Kunda and Mulongoti who are merely bootlickers, Katele, Mabenga, Dora, VJ, are criminals who are supposed to be in jail. One whould even wonder what they are doing in GRZ offices?

  21. Who would please teach these i****ts to either tell the truth and spare Zambians out of this evil Government. these vampires keep on saying things that are against any nomal or moral reasoning. 1. Results show that Zambia is highly corrupt 2. Poverty stricken 3. Missmanged…and so own. But these i***ts keep on saying everything is alright. These things will haunt Zambia until they kill the last innocent Zambia without even realising they are literally killing people by their acts

  22. Chireck keeps on saying that he is learning from these equally stupid contries when he travels. But surely what has he ever done to prove that ?? In fact in these equally foolish countreis they are not privatising strategic companies such as telecommunications. Then where is he getting all this nonsense?? It must be from Teta and mulongoti because they are the first to attack people on every issue Chireck brings, no matter how wired

  23. Teta has licked up RB ass so much that he has Rupiah’s bio-juices dripping from he head. parts of his face are yellow and green.

  24. Fresh Politics sir, why don’t you enlighten the forum with the wonderful achievements of RB so far for us to debate as you suggest – even just one good deed!

  25. Please understand and bear with Teta he meant RB is fighting hard to stop watching pornographic material on his pc and during political outings. The man is highly corrupt in his mind as well. How can a woman in labour pains be equated to pornography.
Therefore I see nothing wrong in the utterances of Teta. Corruption is a complex word mind you.
For the second time TETA HAS SAID SOMETHING SENSIBLE. The first was when he advised MMD to choose another Party leader b4 the demise of LPM. MHSRIP.
    Bravo Teta

  26. Am wondering what Tetamashimba is referring to when he talks Bwezani Fighting corruption. What corruption is Banda fighting when he is bringing back corrupt people into power when there is evidence beyond reasonable doubt.

  27. Teta is right. RB has done a lot to erudicate corrution. Let’s all give him support. He is doing a very good Job.

  28. Let Tetamaboza also make a follow comments on the ealier discovery of the mobile hospitals dela, involving $53m. Which I believe was the reason for bringng out the Kapoko scandal so that the public is swayed. Which has actually happened. The dirty has been swept under the carpet!

  29. Its either is has got a small brain or a smal weeleeeeeeee worse still…….. I am sure you all know the rest ah ah aha!

  30. Never mind about Teta, please the guy is a political noise maker! That’s what happens when you appoint party cardres to be Ministers and to make matters waise a party spokes person?? Anyway only God knows……..!

  31. Ba Dr Maureen @ #8, he uses Minorarazors withsunlight soap instead of shaving cream. That;’s why his face looks like a pineapple!
