Kamanga Salutes Fifa Ruling On No-Confidence Vote

Share

Interim Faz president Andrew Kamanga said Fifa’s green light for Faz councilors to put a no-confidence vote as an agenda item at next March’s general council meeting as an endorsement of a vote of no confidence in Kalusha Bwalya.

Kamanga said this at a press briefing just 24 hours after arriving from Zurich where the interim, Kalusha executive and government met Fifa to find a solution to the current Faz impasse.

Fifa had prior to the tripartite meeting on Monday said that if any part was aggregated with the Kalusha Bwalya administration, they should do so at the next Faz congress in 2012.

However, Fifa continue to recognize Kalusha as the legitimate head at Football House.

“FIFA itself has passed a vote of no confidence in Bwalya’s executive,” Kamanga said.

“And they have simply asked us to finish it off.”
He said the interim committee’s job now was to start the final push to next March’s general meeting.

“FIFA recognized us because when the FIFA president came into the meeting, he acknowledged that there were problems with FAZ and its members,” Kamanga said.

“So our job is easy, we will closely monitor the Kalusha executive and we will start campaigning.”

  1. We mulumendo we wilaba mislead. Compain for 2012 and not ifyo iya ma vote of no comfidence tamwaka wine. Lekeni aba bapwishe term elo naimwe nga mwa wina elo tukamone ifyo mukabomba ekucita compare bwino fwe baletamba. Mpobo wibilima pantu limbi imwe tapali ifyo mukacita

  2. Dont forge signatures this time around. Play by the rules but remember you have become comedians and you are not going anywhere.

  3. ba kamanga there is something wrong with u.the msg was clear no interim faz.l think simata is wrong chap to be with.pls get ur head clear b4 u open ur month.we want footbal to move forward everyday talking about position in faz when ar we going to plan to improve our falling stardards.if u can not listen to fifa when u fianly get the position . l think we wil have no say in the wrong of faz.

  4. Bo Simataa we are tired of this nonsense. If you live by the sword, you will die by the sword. If you live by rebellion, that will be the order of the day if you came into FAZ.

  5. Now is the time of reckoning for chaps who talk to the gallery. Simataa and Andrew including that confused Katongo and his Nkhosi chap. Follow the rules of the game. Kalu is a great man. No amount of intimidation will move him.

What FIFA has done is to shame the failures. I hope even in Politics we can learn to be more reasonable b4 we just shout for change to install useless leaders.

  6. Who is this Kamanga who does not seem to realise that FIFA have published their views on the internet?
Is this the quality of people aspiring to be leaders?

  7. Ba Kamanga this is clearly a case of a drowning man clutching at straws. Kamanga is looking for small things in FIFA’s statement that he can hang on to so as to continue his struggle. Kamanga is looking at FIFA ‘s statement to see what can be twisted to support his miserable cause.21:08:25 is assisting him by giving him the illegal and irrational title of Interim President of FAZ. Kalusha shud sue them 4 organising a coup agaInst him!

  8. They are bragging of Govt support and they are very assuring that if it was not for that, they would by now have stopped making noise thats why all service teams supported them. Listen to their private converstions and how they promise each other jobs once they attain power. But football world over is not run on innuendos and hearsay.

  9. Corrected blog: Ba Kamanga this is clearly a case of a drowning man clutching at straws. 10. it is extremely disappointing to have people like Kamanga and Simataa in Zambia. What crap are they trying to put up. Zambians have read FIFA’s statement on the net and for someone to come out and say they still have power and will continue doing the nonsense they have being trying to mislead us is total myopic on their part. Zambians must decant such type of people from leadership as they are poised at creating trouble. Any upright thinking person should not give these morons space. They have only created confusion in football. They are purely looking at an oppotunity to feed there hugry bellis. This is also a good leson to the out of the line post newpapers AKA vuvuzela shinda paper which was in the fore front championing there short sighted agenda. he he he he he mwanyela panshi…he…

  11. Kalu the legend just as he used to score free kicks he has done it again no in admin… scored against day dreamer kamanga and Simataa. Kalu the great will live on. go Kalu go… and please make sure you doctor the agenda so that these two bums should kiss your boats. They surely disturbed football for nothing……

  12. Kalusha has appallingly failed to run football in Zabia. Yes he was an accomplished footballer on the field, that will never be taken away from him, but he is a total failure, a disaster, a gabon when it comes to runing football affairs.
    Sorry you have to go.

  13. Simataa is actually a bigger failure both in the pitch and management. He failed first at FBZ and at FAZ as for Kamanga… a waste of time. The chap who cannot interpret FIFA resolution and statement from a meeting he attended…. mai wa……real time wasters.

  15. LT, there is NO INTERIM FAZ PRESIDENT, There is only one FAZ President, and that is Kalusha Bwalya until his term is over or he is removed or quits. Please, as common courtesy calls, please regard Kalusha as such since he is still President. Probably you won’t feel good if we all started calling Sata as President of Zambia when Banda is still in office, although we don’t know where his office is because according to my civics books I read, they said it is State House, but Banda operates from Hotels and the Challenger plane. Probably he should exchange office with Oattara in Ivory Coast whose office is in a hotel.

  16. Its beyond any reasonable doubt that Kalusha has lamentably failed to run FAZ, thanks to his ego and limited education he has. However, the behaviour of Kamanga and Shimata is quiet dispointing to say the least. In my opinion, if there will be no other alternative in March 2011, its better to continue with Kalusha Failure Bwalya than putting Kamanga and group in office. And LT please we cannot have an interim president in the presence of the incumbent. We all dont like kalu, but dont support what is not there. we need people with good administrative skills (unlike Kalu) and with vision and wisdom (unlike Kamanga and Simata) to run FAZ.

  17. Tubulus are happy for galu even when he is busy stealing from FAZ they don’t care as they are not worried if someone is stealing as that is a hobby in tubulus land.

  18. Kalusha has the right credentials to hold that position, at least to the end of his term. This man has contributed immensely to the development of soccer in the country. Where is our loyalty? This Kamanga Outfit, with their political connections, are just a source of disruptions that the country can do without. Whatever problems that FAZ is currently facing can be handled by the current team (and other stakeholders) that have not fared so badly, if one considers that there was a global financial meltdown during their tenure.

  19. I like Kalu’s fighting spirit. But what is it that he is fighting for such that he has even abandoned his Sandton house? Where is his pride? Why impose himself on people who don’t like him? Is it that he did plan well during his playing career? If only he had been this resiliant in heydays, Zambia should have been boasting of at least 4 Africa Cups and 2 World Cup apearances.

  21. If you see how Kalusha hounded Teddy Mulonga Out of FAZ, thats exactly what is happening to him infact worse, because his credibility has been thrown to the wing, “WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, WHAT HAPPENS TO THE PEOPLE IN THE ROOM?”

  22. I am amazed at the shallowness of most individuals on this blog. For one to feel that kalusha is still a factor in football even after such appalling failure is just beyond me. This kalusha is connected to all ills at FAZ: selling of players like mayuka, kalaba; the misdealings in the supersport deal and now there is even a misunderstanding btwn KCM & MTN over the sponsorship of the ZED premeir league, all because of mismanagement at FAZ. And can someone please explain to me where all this hate for Simata is coming from?. The guy who is mentioned in this story is kamanga but bloggers have kept on refering to Simata!!!

  23. honestly kamanga and Simataa are a disgrace. Did it have to take the whole of FIFA explaining to them the existence of this close in the FAZ constitution? what advise was Chifumu Banda giving them? why was it hard for them to be civil and wait for march to do the right thing? instead they want to use guerilla tactics to grab power……..I’m glad they came back just as they went……with nothing!

  24. #20,22 & 25 ITS ALL BITTERNESS can’t u try to deal with facts for a change .Which football league due watch in Zambia for u convince any one that Zambian football is at its lowest? What money has Kalu stolen for him not get arrested by the security wings? What arrogance has Kalu shown to beat the arrogance of Simaata and the Tamanga boys who even had to go as far as Zurich just to have a copy of the FAZ constitution read for them by Blatter for them to understand. How many times has Kalu told them what they were told by FIFA in ZURICH that they have to wait for AGM for them to change the FAZ executive. But of course these words coming from FIFA for them is a win!!! THEY CAN’T EVEN INTERPRET THE FAZ CONSTITUTION !!!! NO LIES WERE ENTERTAINED AT FIFA.FIFA RESPECTS FACTS NOT CHEAP POLITICS.

  25. We may not be happy with the current FAZ,but the best way is to respect what was agreed in Zurich. Mr Kamanga and Mr Simata should have found a better way of this matter than appearing to be so desperate for power….

  26. #26 That is perpostrous!!! How can u honestly put the blame of Zambia not winning the africa cup on one person- honestly are we Zambians serious about what we want? Kalu was just one of the good players we had that time and we clearly adored him because we felt he acquited him self well on the pitch and AFRICA recognised that in 1988 but one good player in a team can’t obviously win u a trophy by what ever stretch of imagination. Its like somebody blaming u #26 for low GDP in Zambia because u are not working so hard -Just u alone. Dont u think its Madness?!!!

  27. Surely ba Kamanga ,do you need FIFA to give you a greenlight to pass a vote of no confidence in your organization? The Zambian football fiasco, in my view, has been objectively analyzed by Supersports’ Soccer Africa. Kalu’s football credentials is impeccable but I question his commitment to Zambia by continually marrying outside his race but that is neither here nor there. While I agree with the Post’s political analysis I do not agree with them on this issue. One gets the impression that it has an axe to grind with Kalu. The promotion of no confidence motions in football administration will bring anarchy. It means that a person who loses an election will try to reverse the loss through a no confidence motion.

  28. *****s. They can support anything including feaces. Just because kalusha played well on the pitch for Zambia doesnt mean that you cant criticize when things are wrong. I hate this country for its tribal based analysis of issues. No wonder Barotseland wants to secede

  29. Gud that all u kalu’s relatives supporting his crookedness in FAZ will not be there in march to save him. Despite not doing enough to help zambia win any Africa cup or qualify to any world cup, kaluz life itself is full of failures: failed as coach, no vote at COSAFA, no success as FAZ leader other than dubious sell of players, corruptly & personal signing of contracts & employing of coaches, failure in marriages with children grabbed whom am sure don’t even remember kalu anymore, beating journalists, insulting leaders e.g sports ministry PS etc etc. So only failures can support this failed kalu as birds of the same feather fly 2gether.

  30. #37 Stay calm !!! u sound like u are cracking buddy!!! U talk about *****s,then feaces ,then football, then Barotseland-Hello, where are u?!!!!

  31. I hope kalu is investing moneyz well from his crooked deals at FAZ i.e dubious sell of players, corruptly & personal signing of contracts, personal & dubious employing of coaches etc. That muzungu in europe duped all moneys that he made as player but again he has another old one in down south who is suckin all the little ngwee he is making & soon she will dumb him after march coz he will have no job. I don’t want 2 see him on the streets like Litana or Wawa esp that he has no children to take care of him. So kalu pls invest yo dirty moneyz very well!!!!

  32. God created Kalusha as an instrument of nature and out of him we have found happiness in as far as the game of football is concerned. Hate him if you like but he still remains Great kalu

  33. #42 are u so daft that u don’t know where the police,ACC,DEC etc are to report Kalu’s thefts? Incase you don’t know, even FIFA will not protect Kalu if u provide that evidence NOT cheap Simaata politics because they have seen better mature politics.By the way, u sent Simaata to Zurich why do u think he didn’t raise those serious issues with FIFA he knew those allegations don’t hold any water and that he can only use them against gullible people like you(JUST TRY TO FIND OUT WHY HE NEVER RAISED THEM).PSE STOP EMBARRASING US>!!!

  34. you kamanga just from your talking i can tell you no better. i have seen the likes of you before. as for simaata you have forgotten when you where on ZNBC crying fighting with the national team couch, crying that GOV was persecuting you and then resigned. when is this circle going to end.we want to watch socca

  35. For one to go for a vote of no confidence, I believe he/she has to show reason for doing so. That’s the catch against Kamanga and Simataa. They are simply arnachists who have no real reason for their actions but hartred for the great kalu enamenting from jealous for the guy. If they are as popular as they claim, why are they going on a campaign? They also insisted that the vote of no confidence be the first on the agenda, why? They are scared of the charismatic President’s speech to be delivered by Kalusha which might quench any doubting affiliates. They fear Kalu.

  36. #37 you seem to be very mad that Simata didn’t get a score in Zurich, And from the your comments we can all tell you’re a LOZI

  37. Kamanga should be a toad.some two weeks ago i had arguments about the same and my friend tried to convince me using the so called two third majority whatever that was used.when govt intervened and asked FIFA to adress the issue ,i thought everyone was to accept the outcome .today kamanga comes with stories of vote of no confidence ruling .surely how do u give a chance to a guy who wont even tell the truth even before he is in office.kalusha bwalya may not be doing everything but constitutionally he is president just like RB.Mwanawasa called it the rule of law

  38. circus….it seems fully grown up and seemingly educated adults have forgotten what was said in Zurich..within 48 hours…I believe the statement from FIFA was clear but pipo still want it twisted…
    Why can’t Zambians face facts..?

  39. #52…spot on ….These guys went all the way to Zurich..failed to argue their case and now want to twist facts…!!!!!
Amazing and we are supposed to trust them with leadership…!!!!!!!
    Poor mother Zambia

  40. Kamanga,Simataa,Kalusha,Minister,Chifumu and others were in Zurich. If what Kamanga is saying is false let fifa and the others say so.The fifa.com report was VERY short summary of what happened. Look at what is happenning in Kenya, similar to Zambia.2 GROUPS running football in Kenya and fifa as usaul recognize one but fifa now says elections should be held and they will send 8 people to oversee the elections(vote of no confidence in the fifa recognized group). Thats how fifa saves its fack-ups

  41. For the kenya football federation story visit ( news.bbc.co.uk or news.yahoo.com or do a search ) LT can you please publish the Kenya/fifa story so that bloggers and others can see what is happenning in the world of football and compare to our situation

  42. # 55 IN CASE U DONT UNDERSTAND A SUMMARY IS A RESOLUTION. YOU DONT NEED TO RECORD EVERYTHING. EVEN IN COURT THE JUDGE WILL SIMPLY ASK YOU WHETHER YOU ARE GUILTY OR NOT, YOU DONT NEED TO START GIVING DETAILS. AT THE END OF THE CASE THE JUDGE WILL SIMPLY HAND YOU THE SENTENCE OR ACQUIT YOU. NO NEED OF EXPLAINING ABCDE…………….. WANVERA

  43. Its now time 4 CHARLSE MUSONDA (Charlie Cool) from his Belgiam base to come & take over as FAZ president effective April 2011& bring sanity at football house. We are tired of these kelenkaz & crooks who have no zambia’s interest at heart. Charlie will come with his 3 sons who are national team materials. So we have a lot to benefit as a country from him & not this………

  44. Let’s not insult the free education that Super Ken graciously dished out to all of us! Choosing not to understand a statement issued by FIFA in plain English is an affront to our education system! FACT! Kalu is the pesident of FAZ until 2010. FACT! The Kamanga mafias can raise a motion of a vote of no confidence at the FAZ Council in March, 2011. FACT! The FAZ constitution does not provide for a vote of no confidence. So, how why people who have deafened our eyes with noise about upholding the constitution move this motion? In any event the so-called vote of no confidence ought to have a sound basis. So, on what basis, this time around will the Kamanga mafias be moving this motion? It is clear that it is the WAKO NI WAKO politics that is propelling this Kamanga nonenetity! FULLSTOP!

  45. Fifa is one big organization rocked with a lot of contradictions. Sepp would rather recognize Kalu’s group, the guy he knows, to keep his job. Fortunately, the tide is changing even at Fifa. They have a new vice president. Fifa wants to mend fences with FA after decades of hostility. Mark my words, if Fifa does not reform, there will be more international football organizations. The result Fifa will lose affiliates.

  46. Sports Minister Kenneth Chipungu is saddened that some sports Associations are undermining the authority of the National sports council of Zambia. Chipungu says the National sports council of Zambia was created by an Act of parliament and their decisions should be respected. Chipungu says it is worrying that some sports associations have chosen not to respect decisions made by the council. The minister was speaking when he addressed the media on the just ended meeting with FIFA and FAZ in Zurich last Monday. And Chipungu has advised the Kalusha Bwalya and the Andrew Kamanga parallel FAZ executive committees to abide by FIFA’s guidelines. He says the two groups should work in harmony before the march Annual General Meeting-AGM because the wrangles at football house have divided the nation.

  47. I am very surprised with Kamanga outbursts! Is he a kid? If Kamanga and Shibata were really serious and competent football administrators, they would have known about the “no confident vote” clause way back rather than being educated by FIFA at this stage. This to me simply shows how uneducated they are with FIFA rules and regulations about running football at national level. They will simply mess up Zambian football beyond what Kalu have. MARK MY WORDS!!

  50. BEING FAZ CHAIRMAN SHOULD NOT BE A FULL TIME JOB WHERE YOU CAN MAKE DEALS FROM……. LIKE YOUR KALU IS DOING, JUST ASK THE OLD MAN MTINE THIS JOB IS JUST TO GUIDE /PUT IN PLACE BETTER SUGGESTIONS NOT TRYING MAKE DEALS BECAUSE OF THE POSITION:d

  51. Can somebody educate us on how the Vote of No Confidence is done! How many councillors for instance are suppose to vote? Basically how is it done in FAZ?

  52. # 67 u dont need 2 be educated on Vote of No Confidence just wait 4 march 2011 u will see it 4 yoself when kalu will exculpate himself 2 his employerz the FAZ counellors whom he thinks he can whip all the time. Right now kaluz existence in FAZ is in Intensive Care Unit. He cannot be saved by the bell…..

  53. kamanga and simaata, you ****ing failures why you bringing all this confusion in faz,you better
leave great kalu and his administration alone.you acting like you never been to school

  54. Whereas I may not agree with all the shenanigans that have gone on in Kalusha executive, the actions of the ‘rebel’ group have left much to be desired. Had this group followed established procedures from the beginning, we wouldn’t be in this situation now. But from Kamanga’s comments, it is clear to understand why these chaps have bungled this situation: incompetence. FIFA had to hold Kamanga’s hand like a baby to show him how to go about legitimately starting the procedure for change (if the members so desire). Shameful. And how can Kamanga say that FIFA has passed a vote of no confidence in Kalusha and claim it as a win? This doesn’t make sense because the members can still pass a VOTE OF CONFIDENCE in Kalusha once the vote of no confidence item is brought up. What then, Mr…

  55. Ha ha ha ha…KAMANGA & SIMATAA SAVING FACE…. Now VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE IN WHAT??? Simple logic is that at the next AGM all positions are up for election. Kalu must seek re-election VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE OR NOT…

  56. In fighting in FAZ will never end.For those with a good memory ask MrTeddy Mulonga.Pure greed is all behind the latest in fighting.

You Simataax2 ,you are a total failure. As for you Kamanga, you may be a rich somebody but running the nation’s football is a different ball game.I haven’t heard you talk about your vision for Zambian football so far except your foolish and ignorant rantings.:-w:-w:-w
