Share

Regina Chiluba captured in a sombre mood.
Regina Chiluba

The high court has granted an injunction against late former republican president, Frederick Chiluba’s widow, Regina from administering his estate.
The court granted the ex-parte injunction to the late Dr Chiluba’s children on 5th August 2011.

According to the court order, the injunction also restrains co-administrator Musonda Chisulo, who is the second respondent in the matter.

Mrs Chiluba and Mr Chisulo have since been restrained from administering or dealing in any way with Dr Chiluba’s estate, directly or indirectly.

According to an affidavit filed in the Lusaka high court, Dr Chiluba’s children want the court to determine how their father’s estate should be administered.

  1. Well well well drama time.  If I am not mistaken the courts will award the widow 50%, children 30%, dependants 10% and late FTJ’s parents 10% if they are deceased that should go to the children.

Regina will be built a house and will get 50% of the Presidents salary etc. Not a bad deal.

  2. The issue here is 30% of what? The biggest job will be to put all the hidden money together first, looks like it will be a long battle. If frustrated enough Regina will just seduce RB, marry him and move on…….

  3. @ John Chinena ….That “problem” has been with mankind time immemorial …. affects many men to mention a few Barry White, Pavarotti, the list is endless but do the younger learn from “history”? If you ask me the answer is NO.

  4. John Chinena u ar very correct.I don’t believe Chiluba never left a WILL, very embarrassing story. Mazoka same sad story.

  5. even if he had only one wife, the children would have quarrelled because….. no one will ever know how much they are sharing. The total to be shared will forever remain a shaddy figure. Unlaundered money is all over the place, so who ever knows more codes, gets the most…its a minefield.

  6. This what happens when you greedily obtain something without shedding a drop of sweat, if that little man didn’t leave a Will then nobody is going to claim that hidden stash in the Swiss Bank. The only winner will be the Swiss Bank who would be that happy to make that make accumulate interest for them like the other criminal Mobutu Sese Seko.

  7. I am happy for the children Regina was just a gold digger in that marriage she knew that Chiluba would soon die. I have heard too many such stories in ZED short lived happiness as long as one can have the loot for a few years and drive around in a good car. Some Zambian women lack integrity. Sometimes am embarrassed to introducemyself as Zambian with all these drug traffickers being caught around the World. The bottom line is the need to be seen as Apamwamba

  8. I think it is only fair that Vera Chiluba Tembo as a former wife is also given a Spouse share as long as she is has not remarried. Chiluba made all this money when he was married to Vera and if you check other countries and international organizations you will note that this is done so that the former spouse does not become a destitute. If I were President I would not build Regina a house because the whole country knows how she got married to Chiluba, maybe that close in our constitution should be modified, only a living retired President should be built a house by the government. I doubt a Head of State would be so foolish in these mordern times as not to build himself/herself a house while in power.

  9. is she going to go back to her first husband?? after all she can afford him seeing that she is a millionaire. As for the hidden stash she knows where it is, all she needs to do is wait for the dust to settle and begin the siphoning process. She scored big time on this!!

  10. its very sad that FTJ never left a will but whether Chiluba’s children like it or not REGINA was the legal wife and she will get her 50%. Their father would have died long time ago if it wasnt for Regina’s tender loving care. ala she knows alot more than they think and she doesnt strike me as a dull person. Go Regina show them what you are made of

  11. This gold digger,Regina, wants to reap where she never sowed.FTJ made a very stupid blunder hence all these complications. If anything,Vera is the right person to wear the tag of Chilubas widow. The law should be revisited on issues of this nature to avoid stupid people like like Regina from grabbing what do not belong to them and stop the recurrence of this type of legalized injustice.

  12. Regina just jumped into the moving vehicle with her legs open. May she deserves the loot for the risk she took. Efyo iya!

  13. At 18. Only those with Property would write a will, now some of us who own next to nothing, what is a will for?

  14. Sorry, Regina jumped from a slower moving vehicle into a very fast moving one in the position I mentioned in #21, that was risky she could have died for making such a risky stunt especially because she had her legs open. You people need to understand!

  15. Ba Vera muli kwisa Mayo mwe ba ikele ko ku State House. Basenda katundu ne mpiya shenu ba Regina ma kwenkwe. Nga ta mwapulele uyo umwana mama. Mwashila iule katundu

  16. Regina has no problem. let her just accept the 20% and start enjoying the loot quietly after all she knows the hide out of the loot.\:d/:)>-

  17. #2 Rubbish, #3 fantastic Children 50%, widow 20%, parents 20% while dependants 10%. so what is the rubbish is Regina trying to do! Moreover, that was social interference by Regina when she took over from Vera. I think Vera deserves a share for being the mother.
    Regina is a crook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. I am not surprised at all. Regina went in that relationship for returns so its not wrong for her to get even 100% of what Chiluba had. Every gold digger goes for 100% returns. Regina was well married and financially confortable, so what made her to leave the husband and go for Chiluba? Its money of course so nothing wron. Infact naine nda chikumbwa chimayo kuti natemwa ukuchipyana, chisuma sana ichisa nkonde chinamusana pakunyanta chilobina ichakulila kumo ne mishila.

  19. The people of Zambia must not be forgotten in this because it is their money that was stolen. The GRZ must get back all the monies in late Chiluba’s local and foreign bank accounts and reposses the properties. His children can share those dozens of size 3 shoes and the pint-size designer suits. This will send a clear message to the present and future leadership to remember that they must be responsible custodians of the people’s wealth. What irritates most is that the late Chiluba refused to apologise to the people of Zambia for his misdeeds. We all make mistakes and when one says sorry it heals the wounds.

  20. Pity FTJ will never be there to explain hiz relationship with Regina, but az the situation standz, she iz the legal widow entitled to everything that goez with it. Thoze saying she’z a gold digger or grabbed FTJ from Vera, whether it iz true or not, are fishing on very dry land. Let the law of 50%children, 20%widow, 20%parents and 10%dependents prevail without any malice.

  21. Ba Regina……what goes arround, comes arround. There were moments when you were so arrogant and treated people arround you as if they were scum.

  22. Aba abana bakalamba sana and they should take care of themselves, after all Kafupi taposeleko amano kubana elyo tabaleikala mu bondi yakwe, so where is the claim to the property?
You missed the chance to amass like your friends Henry and James are doing so grow up and face the poverty your dad left pachalo

  23. She still will be rich if she gets 20%, say if FTJ left $10million and she gets 20%, that will be $2million, all she need to do stash that amount in an investement account here in SA and live on the interest equivalent to 1% per month which will roughly be R140,000 or K70million in kwachas for the rest of her life.
And for the children my advise if they het say $5 (R35m), they should just deposit that money here in SA they earn at least R350000 and that converted to kwacha will beat about K200 million per month and if they 10 of them at least each one gets about K20 millon per month. Cool life until heaven opens.

    • @ Time will Tell: those spoilt brainless kids will blow that $5m on partying, nightclubs, prostitutes shooting innocent pipo & making headlines for the wrong reasons. When all the money finishes, they’ll start troubling Govt. for the fathers benefits if there is any. Lastly they’ll be destitute again & start kicking the buckets one by one.

  24. To find the greatest bang for your buck it’s extremely recommended to buy your footwear through sanctioned sellers.
