President Michael Sata has called on civil servants to be patient with government over improved conditions of service. President Sata said that the government wants to ensure the hospitals and health centres are well equipped to prevent the needless loss of life.

The president said this in Lusaka Tuesday at a funeral service for Humphrey Jangulo, customer care manager at City Advertisers.

City advertisers is President Sata’s company.

Mr Sata said Jangulo’s death would not have happened if the hospital was well equipped. Jangulo 28, died of liver complications and malaria which a public hospital was unable to detect.

And family representative, Morris Jangulo thanked President Sata for sparing his time to attend Humphrey’s funeral. He described Humphrey as caring and hard working young man.

Meanwhile President SATA and Paramount Chief Chitimukulu who openly opposed the Patriotic Front ahead of the 2011 General Elections have reconciled. During a meeting at State House today, President SATA asked Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people to forget about the past. President SATA said Chief Chitimukulu should be free to advise the Patriotic Front government when it goes wrong.

President Sata has also noted that the government still remains committed to addressing the challenges that are being faced by the traditional leaders as a way of restoring the integrity of the traditional leadership in the country.

The President who spoke in Bemba has since urged paramount Chief Chitimukulu not to hesitate to call on the government whenever is in need of help.

Paramount Chief Chitimukulu who is unwell, called on President SATA in the company of paramount Chief Mpezeni and Chief Luchembe. Paramount Chief Chitimukulu was in LUSAKA for medical attention. Later President SATA wheeled Chief Chitimukulu out of state house on a wheel chair after a media photo session.

And president Sata has also hinted that he may be sending eastern province minister Solomon Zulu into the foreign mission and replace him with PF Chairperson for Mobilization Charles Banda.

  1. Forgiveness in one of the characteristics of a Christian. President Sata has shown that forgiving each other is very important for the sake of national unity. Tongas should also learn to forgive others they perceive to have done wrong to them. They should forget about the lies HH and his failed UPND has been feeding them and be part of the gvt. One wonders whether the Seventh Day Adventist church teach its members on this important subject, forgiveness, not forgetting hatred against other human beings esp those of different tribes. We have so many educated Tongas all pilled up in UPND with blind loyalty just becoz the leader is of their tribe.

  2. I have not finished. I continue from 2 above…….Wake up Tongas, there is no way you can allow one selfish individual to hold you captive. The guy is rich but what has he done to your province? For any Tonga to rule Zambia, he should be appreciated by all Zambians and not only Tongas. I wonder why you fail to examine popularity of the late Mazoka in all provinces including the most hated, Northern and Luapula. The man was a genius with no or very little tribal inclination. Not this Moron u call HH. He is just hindering development in your province.

  3. continue from #4,,,,,,,Tongas should face reality and know that for the next 10 years, PF will be in power. I wonder what will become of HH after 10 years. If you dont agree with me, then tell us what plans HH has to win support from northern, Lusaka and copper belt provinces.NIL. The man is just busy shooting every move PF makes, whether positive or not.

  4. Us kaponyas we were promised change in 90 days. Does this mean that the president is admitting failure or is he admitting that he fed us lies in order to gain the instruments of power?

  5. @7 how rubbish is what you have read. Tell us why you call it rubbish. Yes, truth can sound rubbish to people like you. Blind follower of this moron called HH.

  6. Pf is still by far better than MMD period! No investor has withdrawn from Zed in fact more are on the way. Sata doesn’t take needless trips abroad on pretence of getting investors!!!! Investors know theres money to be made in Zed! you don’t need a head of state to do that pleading and begging for business what for? BROWN envelopes I guess. that’s why MMD are history….

  7. Pepecho Suffering , you are full of hate.

Sata has not reconciled, he was merely posing with the wheel chair bound mwine-lubemba. mocking him by pushing the wheell chair out of state house.

  8. “President SATA said Chief Chitimukulu should be free to advise the Patriotic Front government when it goes wrong”.

    Ok.We will see

  9. What patience? You came to us out of your own accord with the 90 day theory, no one forced you to make those pronouncements. All we want is that which was promised to us period!  @Pepecho Suffering, take your tribal hate speech elsewhere you dimwit.

  10. #13, no tribal hate at all. My posting may sound “hard” but no tribal hate at all. For your information, one of my favorite sister inlaws is Tonga married to my elder brother.

  11. Pepecho suffering, get a life and grow up. You can’t be making careless statements and generalise on all Tongas like that. i am Tonga, educated with 3 degrees but i have never been a supporter of HH for personal reasons.

  12. Pepecho suffering- You have exposed your tribalism. Mazoka did not win because Luapula, Norther and copperbelt province voted for Mwanawasa Chiluba. Have your head examined you biggot or better take abrain transplant

  13. The Serpent is really sweating. He thought he could run an econmic by decrees such as ” Can the kwacha appreciate to K4,000 with immediate effect” Too bada ba udala. Go to night school and do some basic economics or home craft or health science. You made a mistake by putting your relatives in cabinet. They can never be objective and will always put personal interest first

  14. Family tree syndrome. Very miopic. Everyone is a relative of someone. Bob is appointed becsuase son is married to sata’s dota, scretary to the treasury is sata’s brother in marriege, chilibiliti is from Mpika, Chikwanda is a cousin, and permanent secretaries who are former girl friends. How can you deliver for the civil service

  15. @Pepecho Suffering, Humphrey Jangulo Sata went to mourn was tonga and was also PF. So where is your generalization based on? Dont hate all tongas because of a few ZWD diaspora tongas. yes majority may have not voted for sata, but few that I know from Lusaka did. So move on bro PF is in power and better your life than holding hatred like some tongas of ZWD. you will die fast ka. stress kills ka.

  16. Ni do chi ukubeba were tired of Sata rhetoric be patient 90 days bra bra. I think we were duped 5 years is too long to have these incompetent thugs today Alexander says this bob says something else chi kambwili etc

  17. He is reconciling with his own while threatening Ngoni chiefs woth derecognition, what a tribal skunk. And Njegebaso Jere Mpezeni thinks it’s wise to betray his own own people by cozying with this lot. Well, the next time you hear news from the East it will be defecane. And with Chiti, what the hell is wrong with him? Last time he was in India but butuku busa mu lambezi fa kakoshi ka Imute! All I can see is a one way road to Shimwalule, express.

  18. Mpezeni is the most foolish paramount chief who has belittled the Ngoni chiefdom to a boot licker of Sata. No wonder other chiefs are not happy with him. is it right for the nkosi yama nkosi to be frequenting state house like a messenger of the DC? This is so shameful indeed. Sata has just realized that ruling a country is not like ruling a party for “f”. Appealing for patience with civil servants is an insult. People voted for this man on account of his fake quick fix solutions he promised them. What he should do is to come out openely and apologize to the nation that he deliberately cheated just to become president.

  19. Sata is a trick-star. The underlining fact is that the Cobra is bluffing Paramount Chitimukulu for having fragmented the Bemba Kingdom by removing Chinsali – the Bemba rootstock – from Northern Province and append it to Muchinga under the control of a combined force of Namwanga and Tumbuka dynasties. The Bemba clans are more rooted in eastern Kasama embracing the Malole region vian Mbesuma into Chinsali. The northern and western sectors of Kasama are inhabited by the Lungu people found to be located up to as close as Chishimba Falls along the Mporokoso Rd.

  20. Its good to the see the President has not taken to heart what Paramount Chief Chitimukulu said about him during the campaigns. While the reconciliation is good, the lesson to our traditional leaders is to remain above politics, dont become cadres, not even of the PF itself, because you undermine your integrity.
I am sure Mpezeni played a role in the reconciliation, he seems to be at Sate House whenever he is bored at Ephendukeni Palace!!!

  21. Has HH reconcelled with chief Mwanachingwala?what is wrong with this molon. And you thought everything will work in 90 days kwena muli fikopo that is why you are Bantustan Dreamland. That 90 day theory was a strategy and we say if you cannot convince them then confuse them.Long live KingCO Long live Kaponyas.

  22. am sadned by you people who have no respect for our paramount chief.why insulting him, what has he done to deserve these insults.we ngonis we must protect our paramount chief at all cost from people who people are inhabit of insulting leaders at will.please zambians why we have developed the cuture of insults.let us love one another based on bibilical teachings.one zambia one nation, may God bless our nation zambia

  23. AZulu, ne nine muNgoni, but a mfumu basu otimvwesha nsoni na mankhalidwe pamo namachitidwe bao. In the past he made a famous statement “ni magenge oyenda osati ciduli”. He is the ciduli who is now at state house day in day out. Magenge (monga a Madzimawe) are not moving, but have remained focussed. What sort of Ngoni warrior is he. You make my blood boil my brother with your utterances. This man has embarrassed Ngonis even with his reckless drinking and womanising behaviour. What crap!!

  24. Foreign Affairs and Tourism Minister, Given Lubinda has said the PF government is working towards creating career service diplomats as opposed to political cadres serving as envoys.
And president Sata has also hinted that he may be sending eastern province minister Solomon Zulu into the foreign mission and replace him with PF Chairperson for Mobilization Charles Banda.
Does the right hand know what the left hand is doing?

  25. @39 Mangani cant be appointed Minister or be nominated coz he contested and lost elections. As for ba Mpenzeni,im not surprised,he is a sucker.Wonder how ngonis tolerate such a chief.Eaterners are muzungu anikonde.Fight like other tribes.Bembas fought for their thief chiluba and you are in the fore-front persucuting RB.Learn from other tribes.Be your own

  26. therez no need for tribalism gentlemen and ladies. our presido is Bemba but one of my favourite ministers in his cabinet is Tonga. Simuusa; what a fine Minister? we can only develop if we avoid being tribal. let us take a leaf from our National team, Himoonde; fine defender yet the strikers are far from being tongas but working together as a team. May God bless Zambia

  27. #PEPECHO SUFFERING

You are a big hater. Your comment about your brother married to a Tonga woman reminds me of hardcore racists in the UK whose refrain to accusations of racism is always “My best friend is black”! You tribalist, just nuff off and die! You are a disgrace. Have a sad life.

  28. bamumbwa Mumbwa always cry their lungs out PEPECHO SUFFERING you are right.BAMENE BAYAMBILA nG’OMBE BUMUMBWA MUMBWA DOES NOT FINISH, ZWD IS A WEBSITE OF HATERS WITH INFERIOR COMPLEX.
