  1. The Devil is now in charge here on earth. In paradise, such things will be no more. Let us all prepare ourselves for perfect life in paradise. There will be no suffering then.

  2. Honestly,in as much as we appreciate your(LT) toiling in getting and putting together the news for us at no cost,i would like to know if some simple grammatical errors i observe in your daily publications are done deliberatetly or you just lack a person whi can write like an adult?Look at the words on the funeral pictures.Sheer embarassment.Even on pictures captured in the stadium, you write Mitengo Grave yard! What is really wrong with LT Editor?

    • @6 Observer
Your spelling too is embarrassing, there are no such words as deliberatetley, whi and embarassing. In addition there has to be a space after a punctuation mark.
@6.1 Gazi, condemning is the correct spelling.

    • Have you been on zwd? You will get tired of spoting the grammitcal and spelling errors even the so called dr austin mbozi makes a lot of mistakes , you must give them (LT) Credit they are the only reasonable online media we have not that upnd blog site , i do hope ba LT will never be compromised like the Post and/or zwd . A lot can be achieved through media especially a positive one like LT and the others , the Rwanda genocide is one worst example of negative media and i hope more people will be visiting LT not that negative zwd which if not taken seriously can blow up our country

  3. RIP brother & sister. The President has gained weight & his skin has become so light, nibazayelo nomba. Awe kwena power is sweet.

  4. A very sad day for Zambia as a whole. May they rest in peace. May their families feel God’s comfort at this difficult time. My condolences.

  5. Excellent funeral procession and splendid work done by all organisers. They certainly did not disappoint us on one hand and, on other hand very bad for critics. During that procession Zambia looked like a nation which is enormously benefiting from huge profits of its copper sales but in reality it is not.
Good for those in power, perhaps they can make more unrealised promises to the bereaved families and other Zambians.

    • Families of the Gabon plane crash on 27th April 1993 up to now haven’t been paid all their money.

Some of the guys in the PF government today where in government in 1993.

What hope is there that the Chibombo ones will get paid?

      good luck

  6. MTSRIP.
LT thankx, the pictures are so good who took them? very shape and people look clean, kulyabwino ku Zed without stress mwati!

  7. MTSRIP, It is really sad. It’s good that the nation came together to mourn this tragic loss of life. Even Mushota has shown a good side of her.

    • Pufu stop wishing our president death!!You are evil and GOD will punish you.Dont you know that “a fresh fruit drops from the tree and the ripe one remains?” Be careful in what you wish!!

  8. SOMEONE IS LAUGHING AT THE FUNERAL. ANYWAY WE ALSO CRACK JOKES AT FUNERALS I GUESS ITS OK.

A VERY SAD DAY INDEED. MAY RATSA INSTITUTE AN IMMEDIATE MEASURE. ALL LONG DISTANCE BUSES TO PUT THEIR LIGHTS ON DURING THE DAY.

  9. so sad go well brothers and sister till we meet again. when God’s trampet shall sound one day hope you will be the first one’s to arise from your graves. Abafwila muli lesa balalafwe one day bakabuka.

  10. “May the Lord bless you and keep you: May the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you: May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace through the Name of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Redeemer”

  11. Deepest condolences to my people: “They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat”.

  12. may the dear lord God comfort the berieved families and may he receive the perished one.
may their souls rest in peace amen

  13. This indeed is one of the saddest times in Zambia. It brings tears to my eyes to see all these coffins of our beloved brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces ,mothers, uncles, grand mothers, grand fathers and friends!!May the Almight God give them everlasting peace!!Only a few days ago they were among us and now they are gone.It reminds of the deaths of the Zambia National Soccer team!! May God give us strength!!

  14. Very sad time indeed. My observation is that discipline on our roads is quickly being eroded and our traffic police and RATSA officers seem to be only interested in road blocks and speed traps. In Kitwe, drivers have stopped obeying traffic rules and break them with impunity. The worst culprits are pirate drivers who drive Spacio cars of which the majority are said to be owned by police officers. These people crash through robots, they have no courtesy and are extremely rude. Statistics show that more that75% of the accidents in Kitwe are as a result of these Spacios. The end result of this misbehavior, everybody has started driving like lunatics in Kitwe. We keep wondering why is Kitwe the only City wothout painted taxis? The rot in Kitwe is spreading.

  15. @Mwanamfumu

WEIGHT HAS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HEALTH OF AN INDIVIDUAL. I AM 60. MY GOOD DOCTORS ADVISED ME TO TRIM MY WEIGHT DOWN TO 75 FROM 90KG. I AM NOT AT 80GK. THEY WERE USING WHAT THEY CALLED MASS INDEX TO DETERMINE MY LIKELIHOOD OF SUFFERING A HEART ATTACK OR STROKE. REMEMBER LEVY? I SAW THE POPE ON TV, HE WAS CLEARLY FRAIL. I SAY SATA IN PERSON AND IN PICTURES, THERE’S NO TRACE WHATSOEVER ‘CABBAGISH ABOUT HIM.

  16. Very sad indeed, may God comfort the families of the affected.
Iwe @Peter Jabule, it’s not RATSA, it’s RTSA. The R stands for Road.

  17. @MUFU

I SAW THE POPE ON TV, HE WAS CLEARLY FRAIL.

I SAY SATA IN PERSON AND IN PICTURES, THERE’S NO TRACE OF ‘CABBAGE’ WHATSOEVER ABOUT HIM.

  18. @PUFU

I SAW THE POPE ON TV, HE WAS CLEARLY FRAIL.

I SAY SATA IN PERSON AND IN PICTURES, THERE’S NO TRACE OF ‘CABBAGE’ WHATSOEVER ABOUT HIM. MAY BE IN HIS SECOND TERM!

  19. @Mwanamfumu AND @PUFU

THE ZWD WEBSITE FOR DOGS HAD REPORTED THAT THE PRESIDENT WOULD NOT ATTEND THE FUNERAL OF THE ACCIDENT VICTIMS BECAUSE OF ILL HEALTH.
BUT THE PRESIDENT DID ATTEND THE FUNERAL! DID THOSE WHO WENT TO THE STADIUM SEE A WOBBLING OR SICK PRESIDENT NEEDING HELP TO GO TO THE MICROPHONE? OR WALK ABOUT? NAY!

SO WHY START A WEBSITE TO JUST RIDICULE AND INSULT YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS?

  20. Look at the shoes by our Presido and the third lady. Very different from those crocodile leather shoes we used to see kuli ka Chiluba na ba Vera and then the gold digger Regina.

  21. @PM AND @MINA

HOW OLD WAS CHILUBA? WHERE IS HE WITH THOSE LEATHER SHOES?

HOW OLD WAS LEVY? WHERE IS HE?

I SAW THE DRIVER OF THE CAR THAT CAUSED THE ACCIDENT IN CHIBOMBO, HE COULD HARDLY WALK WITHOUT THE HELP OF A CANE. AT 74!

WATCH OUT FOR MADALA IN HIS SECOND AND THIRD TERMS!

  22. Mr mushota how are you doing mate….very soon will pull a surprise on you..just consulting the lawyers if it’s okay to reveal someone identity and there family….again watch this space sir…Thanks

  23. Picture 15, is the class act from this bunch.

Oh, no….track the leg? doctor can you see anything that needs emergency attention there, look closely doctor!

  24. Fare thee well fallen zambians. I hope we just don’t move on after the funeral and forget to take serious action to prevent against such .

  25. rest in peace accidents as they are caused can be avoided or prevented with concentration and a good road network.its a sad weeek for the nation.

  26. R.I.P.

May the Lord comfort all that mourn and may we be reminded that life is perilous and so let us live each day as upright as we can.

  27. THIS IS REALLY SAD FOR OUR COUNTRY. MY THE LORD GUIDE AND PROTECT OUR PEOPLE DURING TRAVELS. MAMA SATA THANK YOU FOR MOURNING WITH YOUR PEOPLE.

  28. Rest in peace Mrs Selina Mulenga Mwelwa. You were such a beautiful and caring woman who extended your warm and caring smile to everyone. Kakabalika mukwai

  29. At this moment it is a sad moment for every Zambian. We will not understand the meaning of this tragedy. May the victims’ souls RIP. I pray for the families of these victims at this darkest hour.
Last but not the least, lets give credit to the government leaders and people who were involved in organising the funerals.
