HH urges Zambians to restore integrity to politics
Hakainde Hichilema addressing the media
United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema says Zambians must rise to the occasion and restore integrity in the country’s politics.
Speaking in an interview with Qfm News, Mr. Hichilema said Zambians have an important role to play in cleaning up the political system, which he said has been dented by greedy and irrelevant leaders.
Mr. Hichilema said the ongoing developments on Zambian political scene have clearly exposed the PF’s lack of understanding of the ideals of a politically plural society.
He said it is unfortunate that the PF government is preoccupied with a self propensity of political dominance in the country at the expense of development.
The UPND leader said politics demands dedication and leadership and should not be used as a source of livelihood.
He has since challenged Zambians to use their power of the ballot to bring integrity to the country’s political system.

How I wish we had more wise minded thinking people on this blog rather than PF humble gentlemen insulting others everyday. Recent developments leading to loss of life of innoncent Zambians with the sole aim of dominating majority in parliament is clearly short circuting plural politics in the nation. Perhaps Zambia deserves to go through this phase in order to shapen the concepts of true democratic governance. However, loss of life and arbitrary arrests of citizens without cause is a real dent to be associated with PF govt as lacking real ideals of democracy. Partly is attributed to lack of having been schooled long enough to understand human abuse.
Sata can appoint even 100 deputy ministers from opposition but this won’t help them fulfil their 90 days campaign promises. actually they are just crushing them even more as they said they would have a small “cabinet”. This wont develop Zambia. It doesn’t even heal serious diseases.

Since PF came to power you have practised confrontational no-compromise politics, you have used abusive language, and you have punished your own MPs for working with the government of the day, which contradicts you statement of understanding the tenets of democracy. If the PF government were to call you to dialogue your stance would be to boycott, leaving no roomfor negotiation, so, as much as you have said some wise things, your actions need to be seen to tally with what you are saying.
