Father Frank Bwalya

Catholic priest and former ZESCO board member Father Frank Bwalya has said that President Michael Sata should stop harassing opposition party leaders through arbitrary arrests. Speaking on MUVI TV’s the Assignment programme Fr Bwalya said that Zambians were watching what is happening and are not foolish to allow the Patriotic Front government start abusing the law.

Fr Bwalya has since apologized to UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and MMD president Nevers Mumba for his silence when they were arrested.

Father has also described as useless the by-elections being created in the country when Zambians are suffering. He added that God was not happy to see his people suffering when government is busy creating unnecessary by-elections.

Fr Bwalya also observed that President Michael Sata seems to be paddling the PF Boat alone. He said that there is need for Ministers and others to help the President paddle on the other side of the boat for things to move.

He added that certain things that the PF government has done deserve a red card.

On his resignation from ZESCO board, Father Frank Bwalya has said that his resignation has enabled him to reclaim his voice to speak for the poor in the country.

He said that he wanted to have the liberty he had in the past to speak his mind on the wrongs that government commits.

Fr Bwalya said that people don’t respect him anymore, adding that people who were courting him to serve on international boards are having second thoughts because they feel he has been compromised as a result of negative reports on him by some newspapers.

  1. Well done Father. I hope the other Catholic fathers will also awake from their slumber and start talking

  2. Offcourse Father you were compromised and those international organisations did the right thing. Any way it is not too late to redeem yourselve and as a man of God it is good that you have first apologised and already making genuine criticism.

  3. I DON’T THINK HE IS A FATHER,BCOZ HE LOOKS LIKE A DRUG DEALER,THEN IF HE IS A FATHER TO HIS SONS AND DAUGHTER AND NOT THE CHURCH.WICH CHURCH ANY WAY?

    • Did you give him children other than the flock of christians he already has as followers?Lets look at the object and not be senseless critics

  4. Bwalya chaume, he speaks his mind and his not an arm chair critic like some of us on this blog together with our relatives in the Opposition. Okay buti ba LT ur ka website is now confusing me i dont know which comment is on number.. Thanks for the reply function though

  5. Thats what zambia needs,,, speak out when things are going wrong and when they are wrong .. and praise when things are good,,,, well done frank bwalya!!!!!!… am still waiting for alot more kwalolo mwela PF pussylickers to wake up and see the light!!!

  6. So now even Facebookers will be commenting? That Alice Mwima amoneka undressable.
We used to have LT, not this peace of crap in past 2 weeks.

  7. Please can you help investigate this man called Ian Mcnitosh from First Quantum solwezi. He is exhibiting behaviors of racism. We his fellow workers are not in good terms with him, his office is seperated from blacks. He only brings and sponsors whites unlike our fellow Zambian graduates. Is this good? President Sata is working hard to bring investors, to create employment for the benefit of Zambians but here is this Boer man who hates blacks and just keep on recruiting and sponsoring whites. Should this be allowed in our country? From the time he took office for good years now, he has never recruited or even sponsored any black graduate. He always brings whites to come and be trained by Zambians while our Zambian children are crying. Please our father President Sata, do something. You may not be aware of this but this is what is happening in these companies. We know how much you can do to help our children and this is the reason youths turned out in numbers to vote for you. There dreams are being thrown into oblivion just because of one man despite your efforts in creating employment for the Zambian youths. All of us employees talks bitter about this man and his behaviors to blacks especially Zambians. First Quantum is a good company but Ian Mcnitosh is exhibiting unprofessional way of carrying out his duties. Even his directors may not be aware of this. May God bless President Sata and the Zambian people.

  8. But Mr. Bwalya said in an interview that he will not shy away from criticizing the PF government whenever it made policy mistakes.
He said he will go to ZESCO to work towards helping the power utility improve service delivery.
“I want to assure the people that Fr. Bwalya will never be compromised. I will continue speaking for the voiceless with or without this appointment,” Fr. Bwalya said.

This is what Frank Bwalya said when he was appointed last year. One will ask a question on what changed for him to come back and said that he lost his voice as Board Chairman Zesco. From my simple analysis, Fr Bwalya is not telling Zambia the whole truth. In short he is telling a lie, and a big one for that matter.

Why is it lucrative for Fr Bwalya to start trading in cheap lies like the one he has advanced over quiting ZESCO board?

It is possible, this man did something wrong as a board chairman and the best way out was to resign. It does not sound like the reason anyway. Maybe, he helped a girlfriend to get a job in Zesco. Again, there is no record of Fr Bwalya to have a girlfriend otherwise the whole Zambia will have known after the punches with RB. So what could be the reason?

I think this man thinks that he is ready to be the sixth Zambian president. This sound like the near truth and a very good opportunity to trade off his ZESCO board chairman position. Probably, hence the first warning shots on Sata not to harass his opponents.

mmmm, but the whole idea is not Fr bwalya’s. By the way of Fr Bwalya stands as the Zambian President, he will definitely win Copperbelt. He has a very good support. Coming back to my theory of Fr Bwalya becoming the 6th presido, two possibilities:

    1. He could be sponsored by the catholic church so that once he is presido, then the church can come in with it’s antichrist, i mean stripping Zambia as a christian nation, the so called gay rights, etc…

    2. Sata after suffering a heavy setback with kabimba could be thinking of Bwalya to carry his legacy as the future PF

Anyway guys, this article could be a pure dream, but it could also be very true.

    • Total rubbish You are a real dunderhead. How can you put the Catholic Church into this rubbish? Fallacies through out. You have pissed me of to the maximum. Just talk about Fr. Bwalya and not the Catholic Church useless man.

    • Cheers Father Bwalya it is always important to obey your inner voice. You are now more equiped after the experience you had at Zesco plus, everything has a purpose in life. My only worry is the lack of proper oppossition in the country as the current are preoccupied with Marrubish.

  9. You are fit to be a vuvuzela in the wilderness. You failed to lead ZESCO board and decided to go back into vuvuzeling, what a shame! You were placed to contribute to practical changes.Being in a seat to implement change is not easy. There are regulations to be followed. How can you support indiscipline and you call implementation of the law as harassment of the opposition-the indisciplined leaders.

  10. Ba LT This new programme you have introduced is slowing my computer. Each time I come to your site everything slows down and this Disqus thing you have brought do you want to lose your bloggers?

  11. So this is a man of gold!LOL Foolish Africans you believe in a foreign religion that was used to colonise you.

  12. Father Bwalya is right.I’m a PF supporter but i’m also disappointed with our president.I don’t know really what to do.I really had hope in him 2 serve the poor.It seems Chiluba saw the man indeed.Ba Sata was arrested and insulted many times by MMD and can’t bellive he is doing the same to opposition leaders.Well,i still think he can perform better but awe mwandi let’s wait and c.In Kamwala south the roads are bad mwebantu. Where are U bakateka? Sure u know Zambian very well and our needs. Can u please start thanking God who helped U 2 come 2 power?Fr Bwalya sounds 2 be a man of principles.Let him start showing red card to PF.I’m ready 2 join.

    • What do you still see in this PF Govt to “still be unsure”. Let go, they are a bunch of liers with no direction whatsoever.

  13. As much as I “hated” the 800 character limit at least it forced you to think compared to now with some people going on ad nauseum. At the risk of doing the same myself, there is SO MUCH that I really (really!) don’t like about this new format:

    1) Slow to load, doesn’t always load completely
    2) Unable to load on my phone
    3) Small font (what were you saying last time about making the site easier to read?)
    4) User names in line and even smaller than the main text – very difficult to see who said what!

Simply put, I just don’t get why LT has to fix something that wasn’t broken…. twice!

Were you guys feeling left out of the flip-flop game so decided to be like “some political parties”? And of course without a single word to explain to your users what is going on ….again just like “some political parties”!

  14. Let Mpombo resign as well then we will have Fr Bwalya, Mpombo, Mulongoti and the game will start rolling……..

  15. When a son chooses to leave his father’s home to stay with neighbours or on the streets, just know that something is terribly wrong in his parent’s house to a possibility that one of the parents or both practice witchcraft!

  16. father bwalya’s conscious is eating, what i dont understand is why the need to apologize to HH & mumba. Father if you really want to do good deal with poor pipo that the government is been anfair to not hh & mumba those can take care of them selfs.

  17. father bwalya’s conscious is eating him, what i dont understand is why the need to apologize to HH & mumba? The two are more than capeble to taking care of them selves. There alot of poor pipo being ill trite’d out there they need a voice that can turn things around not hh or mumber those are rich. Save widows and the poor. The country when need be. When the government is really out of control. This is not one of them.

  18. ba LT posting on your blog is difficult, i have been trying for the past 20min’s now..and still my post has not gone. Not just to day..its everyday now, Some time’s out of frustration i stop.after clicking the post key like a 100 times. My time of typying is wasted…. I have started posting pa tumfweko coz its easy but there storys are boiling.

  19. Too little too late, the boat has already left! Where were you when he was making arbitrary arrest, deportations of your fellow catholics? I guess you were strengthening the party as you are quoted in the post!

  20. LT,
you have broken the site. Too many changes in a short space of time. Have you heard the saying “Linyezyanyezya litaya muto” (Nyanja)? This site is now worse than it has ever been. Please change to make it better, not to break it.

  21. Can we go on Red card campaign NOW, Iam ready to Join Father Bwalya. The man is very handsome and cuts his beards regulary, LT update his phots please

  22. A question to Father Bwalya. What hv been ur achievements since being appointed as Zesco Board Chairperson? Kindly outline these achievements your board has scored for us the Zambians & for my grandmother in the remote village??
What is sad, is your lack to opposing & voicing out the massive board meeting allowances you kept receiving for the past two years as chair. Let’s share the national cake with a deep consideration of our pipo in remote areas

  23. i hope he has not just failed to run zesco board..talking and doing the actual work are different my dear. anyway i will still give you a benefit of doubt.better late than never

  24. i think it should be easy for father bwalya to qualify what the arbitrary arrest been. i say that atleast none of of the criminals from chiluba, levybanda have been jailed. b ut it does not mean that zed will kp low on issues of such nature

  25. Faith & love without work is dead. Fr. Bwalya you are a man of God & understand this well. You prefer to talk than to serve the nation through the opportunity you were given to work on ZESCO board to change the country. Just talking does not help anybody, get to work. Talking to please, international organizations instead of Zambians is worst selfishness. Democracy is expensive & you can’t avoid bye elections in democracy. You have no pity on these oppressed MPs who can’t make their on decisions & serve the people because of their undemocratic parties which want only the interests of their presidents to be served & you want them continue being grilled with the same parties forever? Don’t fear, advise Sata directly not through the press since you know him personally? Matthew 14:1-12.

  26. Fr Bwalya said that people don’t respect him anymore, adding that people who were courting him to serve on international boards are having second thoughts because they feel he has been compromised as a result of negative reports on him by some newspapers.lol

  27. Fr Bwalya said that people don’t respect him anymore, adding that people who were courting him to serve on international boards are having second thoughts because they feel he has been compromised as a result of negative reports on him by some newspapers.lol

  28. So it is all about himself and his name and not the people. Shame on you Fr Bwalya you better purify your intentions. Many people are doing good work their and speaking on behalf of the poor and nobody is offering them international jobs no are they looking to see who is respecting them on not respecting them. Please examine you conscious you are not doing things for the right motive.
