Zifa Nkhoma: Don’t fire Beston Chambeshi

Share

Ex-Power Dynamos defender Zifa Nkhoma says under-fire Beston Chambeshi should not be fired.

Power on Saturday lost 2-1 to a resurgent Roan United in what is a stuttering start to the 2013 season dropping from eighth to 11th place after that defeat on 10 points and with two wins all season.

“You can’t fire Beston he is a very good coach,” Nkhoma said.

“The problem is most of the players at Power Dynamos they have grown big headed that’s why they can’t win.

“They should respect the coach, official and the supporters.
“They are getting a lot of money but they are not concerned about football.”

Chambeshi last season failed to retain both the league and Barclays Cup to finish second behind Zanaco after taking full charge from Fordson Kabole who was fired at the start of the 2012 campaign.

  1. I agree with zifa power players are too proud 4 nothing i see no reason why they are failing to win games the same team since 2011 ofcourse minus luka and sitali .

  2. True that Zifa!
You should see the demeanor of Power players. It’s like they own everything around them. Exactly like the Ghana national team. Dropped pants, underwear showing and all that crap. Pure arrogance. Pride comes before a crash ba Power.

  3. Firing the coach will not solve anything, instead the should just call all stake holders to settle there differences amicably and we will be back on our winning ways. Power Dynamos for life.

  4. Getting a lot of money should actually motivate them ! Other teams have improved because of more money ! ( financial playing field levelled ) No more Zanaco , Zesco and Power monopoly now (using money ) !

    • Beston is one of the best coaches we have in the country firing him will make things worse, the problem we have is coming from the ex-chairman conniving with the pro-Kabole players that’s sitali left because he influenced by the ex-chairman who was keeping him, if I had a way I would have kept that man away from the player and the stadium. Some of those women supporters are a big problem if no disciplined will cause a lot of problems, their language is very bad, all the coaches that have coached power know that their language is bad especially we the team lose. Firing the Beston is not the solution to our problem, lets just put our Heads together

  6. Power players need some discipline.

I never used to see Alex Chola in Kitwe town centre during their playing days. But you find these players of today on a friday morning, the whole morning in town, and they have a game on a weekend, when do they train or prepare?

  7. Insansa ku chinjanya….otherwise Power did not know what hit them. The players are/were too casual thinking that Roan playing home away from home were going to be pushed over. But alas Nkana supporters were cheering Stylish Roan full throttle…. Firing Bestone wont solve whatever problems they have, i think the players are too big headed for nothing that one can see.
