Renard hails Mayuka Sochaux move

Share

Chipolopolo coach Herve Renard has endorsed Emmanuel Mayuka’s loan move to French side Sochaux from Southampton.

Zambia striker Mayuka joined Sochaux on a one-year loan deal last week.

Renard described Mayuka’s move to the French Ligue 1 as good.

“It should be good for him I hope,” he said.

“Sochaux is one team fighting to stay in the Premier League in France, so I am sure he will play.”

Renard added:”It won’t be easy but it will give him a lot of improvement.”

Mayuka, 22, struggled to command a place in the Saints starting eleven- a year after joining the Premier League club from Young Boys of Switzerland.

  1. What is the latest title – is he still the Chipolopolo, or is it Mapolopolo, coach oyu muntu? What is there for him to hang around for, when CHAN, WC are gone by? Waiting for Afcon 15 qualifiers? Or the women’s?

  2. Mr. Renard, you said if you fail to qualify Chipolopolo to Brazil World Cup 2014, you will RESIGN. Go bwana & thanks 4 everything.

  3. leave Renard alone, you tried your local coaches and we all know what results we got. Improvement of the team starts with you bloggers, you must start watching the Local league and ‘pay’ for entry at the stadia instead of only watching national team matches and the EPL, imagine the amounts you pay to Multichoice, it could well improve our soccer had you been supporting local clubs through gate takings.

    • You are clearly contradicting yourself, how can you write off local coaches in the same breath support a foreign coach who has an appalling away record; one away win in about 8 matches. When have we tried a local coach? If you really follow the local league you would be aware that we have the personnel to better what HR is doing at a fraction of the cost.
Ghana, Ivory Coast and Nigeria had to take that risk and invested in their own countrymen and look at where they are today they are in the playoffs. HR has no delivered he lamentably failed to build a team for AFCON 2013.

  4. hey hey hey…can u please stop attacking Herve Renard.Which local coach has brought AFCON in Zambia? Stop insulting our french man. Stay Renard Stay + Go Zambia Go = Win Win Win!!

    • So if he won the AFCON 2012 he should stay irrespective of his appalling away record and his inability to strengthen our attack? Why is it that we don’t take statics seriously? With HR we never qualify for any tournament (except COSAFA) they only reason we qualified for AFCON 2013 is that we were defending champions.

    • Its not Renar to blame…blame yo players..His job is merely to give instructions of which we are seeing progress..you have been a gud team since 1964..how many times have you brought AFCON cup to zed?leave him alone…moreover we out played Ghana its only that it could not have been our day

  5. It doesn’t matter whether we shall have a new local coach or foreign coach, BUT a coach who is better than Renard who will make us win 2015 Africa Cup of Nations & qualify us to the World Cup 2018 period! We won AFCON 2012 not becos of Renard…our boys knew that was where our old boys perished. In fact, Renard hijacked Boneti who qualified the chipolopolo to afcon 2012. If Renard extends his contract, Zambia will even fail to qualify to AFCON 2015.

  6. A lot of you chaps against renard don’t even understand what success is. Till what grade did you go to realise what renard achieved for mother Zambia? Go hung yourself otherwise is here to still enjoy his success in Zambia. Leave the man alone you talkticians.

  7. We’ve had all kinds of couches and non of them managed to win us the Africa Cup. Renard has proved as a good coach and Zambia must keep him for another season.

  8. Guys stopped calling for hr dismissal,,,understand that coaching is only 10% and 90% is all about motivating,in this case hr has excellenet motivational skills,,ask the players, they enjoy playing for him..its the playerwho are not good enough..CONTINUITY IS BASIS OF SUCCESS>>

  9. jay jay if HR’s record is bad; those coaches england has engaged in the last 15yrs are appalling, pathetic, clueless. they ve not taken england anywhere or it may just be question of poor quality of english players in the epl.

  10. HR made us reach quarter final in 2010 before he was poached by Angola. After being ditched by Angola following poor performance he was sucked and later joined chipolopolo for the second time and managed the team that won AFCON 2012. He used the team that reached quarter final with inclusion of few new players. HR is the great manager for any team in the world. Chase him and many nations are waiting to take him in. Local managers cannot do what HR have done because they just fail to qualify local teams to Africa club champion cup.

  11. Ati ba Mayuka are u striker or defender?? A striker always exerts pressure in territory of the opponent but unfortunately i have never seen you do that… a striker should be scared at.. Anyway you have a long way to go!!!!

  12. *** The only STATISTIC we need is: We won the AFCON in our life time!!! Whether be it by hook, luck or crook – we did it the RH way! Leave him alone Jay-Jay. Not all people can be blemish free like you mate – you are so good you named yourself twice 🙂

  14. Zambia let us not be blinded by afcon 2012.We need to see how we have continued to go down under HR.Our team cant intimidate even the smallest teams on the continent.HR doesnt play to win but to avoid lossing and only wining by chance.look at Bonnet’s record in the qualifiers.0:1 loss 4:0,2:0,2:1,3:0 win and 0:0 draw Gdf +9.HR 0:2loss 1:0 win 1:1 draw 4:0win 1:1draw 1:2loss Gdf +1.Numbers never lie.HR benefited from another man’s sweat.Let him give way to someone who understand our way of playing soccer.
