Hordes of PF cadres Tuesday mid-morning staged another protest to press for the removal of PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba.
The cadres marched through Freedom Way, Cairo Road before assembling at the party’s District Offices near Millennium Bus Stop in Lusaka.
The cadres who chatted anti Kabimba slogans carried along a real coffin with the name Wynter written on it and placards reading ‘Wynter Must Go.’
The cadres were later addressed by new District Chairman Robert Chikwelete who vowed that the cadres will not stop pushing for Mr. Kabimba’s removal until he succumbs.
Mr. Chikwelete claimed that Mr Kabimba insulted the youths in the party by referring to them as street kids.
“We will not stop until Mr. Kabimba is fired. He cannot get away with insults. He insulted us and he has never apologized,” Mr Chikwelete said.
And addressing the media, PF Deputy Secretary General Bridget Atanga asked the party’s leadership to immediately deal with the issue of Mr Kabimba’s stay as Secretary General.
Mrs Atanga said the issue of Mr Kabimba has the potential to divide the ruling party.
For real? I thought the PF central whatever, had brought this matter under control; but it looks we have just began. Ok more popcorn for now……………….

Mrs Atanga’s statement that “…has potential to divide the party” is an under statement. If not sorted, it’s got the potential to bring down the party madam. Winter knows alot hence Sata’s ambivalence on how to deal with the matter. I just hope these cadres had a permit from the police (which I doubt).

Now the writing is on the wall for Wynter- just check the language of Mrs Atanga, the Deputy Secretary General .She is asking the Party leadership to immediately deal with the issue of Kabimba. Reading between the lines,she is saying the sooner the Party gets rid of Wynter the better. And she ascends to position of SG when (not if) Wynter gets fired.
Wynter has offended and caused harm to a lot of innocent Zambians. Who could have ever imagined that Wynter could be treated like this by his cadres. There is a lesson in this for all of us. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Wynter had become the epitome of arrogancy . He disregarded others, showed no respect for others, believed he was infallable. His fall from grace at the hands of the very cadres he unleashed on others is most poignant. Suddenly he has no friends. I am no tribalist but suddenly Wynters ethnicity seems to loom large as his political fortunes wane.
But these are just Lusaka streeet kids. If they want Kabimba to go, they must mobilise all the PF cadres in the whole country. The facts is if President Sata listens to these Lusaka street-adults without knowing what is happening in the rest of Zambia, that will be the end for PF it might not even reach 2016 in one piece.
The best solution here is for PF to hold a national convention where Kabimba can face all his enemy cowards who can’t face him directly now and are trying to use cadres to fight a battle they have no idea about. The President knows that PF is bigger than just Lusaka. He gave this chikwelete the Lusaka position to shut him up and now he is pushing his envelope. Let them call the national convention – that will be the end of chikwelete and his paymasters.

Kabimba knows too much. He has been secretary general of PF from the time when some of these cadres were actually working in MMD. Nobody today in PF understands how PF is working throughout the country more than Kabimba. It is easy to shoot him down right now, but let them get rid of him and we see what happens in 2016. The fact is that if the President demotes Kabimba he won’t stay in PF for another year…and he will go with his own people. Most likely PF will go back to being a regional party. That will effectively make 2016 a battle between MMD and UPND – PF won’t even be in the picture. Zambia is changing and doing so really fast; it is not even the same Zambia that voted PF into power in 2011. That is one thing some senior PF people are not aware off – typical.

Kabimba and Mmembe are in a fix. Mmembe cannot turn against Sata now because he will be arrested for the 18 billion he owes. Bailiffs can seize his post newspaper. Post news paper is also in debt and just surviving. The trucks he bought are also on debt and cannot get any business if he turns against Sata at this time. So Kabimba went wrong in trying to align himself with Mmembe who has so much baggage. Mmembe in turn aiigned too much with PF. In short, if PF goes down, Mmembe also goes down. So he will try not attack PF and Sata even if he does not like what is doing on. All editorials on PF are fake by the post.

l think PF has realised that Mr Kabimba cost them Eastern Province . He has done so much damage through humiliating RB and other Easterners. At one time he called RB a light weight.
