Republican president, Michael Sata yesterday morning expressed displeasure that members of the tribunal set up to probe Wynter Kabimba were not available to be sworn in at State House.
Mr. Sata queried State House Permanent Secretary, Kaizer Zulu why members of the said tribunal were not available as he also asked on the whereabouts of secretary to the cabinet, Roland Msiska.
Ironically, the members of the tribunal were not available leading to the cancellation of the ceremony, much to the displeasure of journalists.
The Supreme Court recently appointed a three member tribunal to probe Justice Minister, Wynter Kabimba over alleged abuse of office.
The tribunal consist High Court judge Evans Hamaundu as chairperson with Getrude Chawatama and Justine Chashi as members.
President Sata’s administration has seen establishment of unprecedented number of tribunals whose outcomes and findings remain scanty.
Meanwhile, Justice Minister, Wytner Kabimba, speaking in a telephone interview, has advised those pushing for his resignation to either write to him or the appointing authority.
Pressure is amounting among Civil Society Organizations-CSOs for the Justice Minister to immediately step down for fear of jeopardizing the works of the tribunal.
The guys can not show up because Winter has not been dropped as Justice Minister. How can you probe him when he is active? He will use his authority to threaten the tribunal. The President must drop him immediately.
So mr.sata. you realise that there are powers in zambia higher than you. poeple would rather defy your oders of appointment than participate in the Crucifixion of the number one leader incognito “Wynter Kabimba”. muchenjele mdala ba sata. these are signs and dont just ignore them.

Next we shall will hear him saying the judges appointed to hear Kabimba’s tribunal are incompetent and therefore would not give Kabimba a fair hearing because they failed to turn up for swearing in ceremony. He will postpone it till further notice to hold Kabimba his cartel hostage.
The whole tribunal saga has been shot down by Sata before it begins. I knew right from the start that it was a sham in order to win GBM back into Sata’s ranks. Now that GBM wants non of it any more, Sata has decided there is no point in carrying on with the tribunal.
Lets not forget that Sata decides who gets probed or not.
Sata has been proven that High Court Judges are not *****s. Now set up a tribunal for those three judges who didn’t follow Sata’s commands.

The members of the tribunal did well not to pitch up.What the President should have done first was to drop Wynter Kabimba the swearin the members of the Tribunal. Imagin over seeing a Tribunal setup to prove your boss (Minister of Jusitice), there is bound to be intimidation.

The President was supposed to suspend Kabimba to allow the Tribinal operate unimpeded. His displeare for not seeing Members of the Tribunal at State House is FAKE. He is all out to damp ice on the process and thus protect his well established cartel comprised of crooks who break the law with impunity.
Who was the appointing authority? If is is Chella or Sata then it is just indeed a total waste of time and resources. Do things the right way then we will never need these tribunals besides Summer should have stepped aside in normal circumstances for the tribunal to work free. Why not just swear in Judge Ngoma, Father Luonde and Wynter himself. Since its a rubber stamp arrangement, they can knock it out in 10 minutes straight.
Pay them sitting allowance of K100,000 per minute and get them each Nissan Navara’s, three 15 year old prostitutes, a years supply of beer and an all expense paid visit to China.
As it stands, how does the president expect the judges to show up when they know Kabimba is their boss? The man has to just step down. What does Kabimba mean by stating that those who want him to resign must write him or the president?
