Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema has challenged his party’s Members of Parliament serving as Deputy Ministers in the Patriotic Front (PF) government to resign and pave way for the party to field in replacements in their respective constituencies.

Mr. Hichilema has observed that it is also unfortunate that his party’s Members of Parliament serving in the PF government have not by now realized that they are only serving the interests of ruling PF.

Mr. Hichilema has advised UPND Sinazongwe Member of Parliament Richwell Siamunene to come out from hiding in the courts and re-contest the Parliamentary seat if he thinks he can retain it on the PF ticket.

Mr. Hichilema says it is also important that Itezhi Tezhi Member of Parliament Greyford Monde-Monde and his Shang%u2019ombo counterpart Poniso Njeulu resign as they are delaying development in their respective constituencies where they are UPND Members of Parliament.

The UPND leader has further told Qfm news in an interview that he is also confident that if all UNPD Members of Parliament serving in the PF government resign and by-elections are held his party will be able to retain all Parliamentary seats.

  1. True to that and why not just expel the chaps…if they dont agree with UPND – the pipo’s choice anymore, why not be a morally upright mentor and resign…We see who is who..

    • They have been expelled already but Sata doe not want by elections in Southern province for fear of being defeated shamefully.

Its Sata and his courts which are preventing them to be expelled.

Other wise us in UPND the party of the future are ready to take them on. Even I can stand against one of these minions and beat him hands down.

    • Let him cause some too. He is entitled. Tired of the same people causing by-elections for no progressive reasons.

  2. I want to contest the seat of Greyford Monde umwaice uyu. Am sure on a UPND ticket i will beat him hands down. And am not tonga and dont speak tonga or any of its dialects. Haleisa Haleisa

  3. Hiding in the courts. True indeed. Richwell is very vocal but his days are numbered. Short term gain is what has made them sell their soul.

  4. And they say that it is PF creating by-elections when it is this loser who keeps on chasing his MP`s ? Smh

    • saulos yo contributions are becoming irrelavant to the post independence zambia.we are now in a zambia that should cerebrate economic independence .All MPs who want to take su back should be removed on the way.haileisa haileisa economic manager.

  5. HH:don’t be over-excited over the Katuba by-election result. That was an MMD, not PF seat. Go and grab a PF in any of the following areas: Kasama Central, Luapula Province, Ndola Central, Mater, etc. Should your bantustan party triumph in any one of these areas you will be justified in being as over- excited as a nine- year old child!

    • Those are tribalist grounds! They believe that only a Bemba can rule the country and there is evidence to that fact. While other seats can alternate parties based on merit of the candidates.

    • That is the reason why HH wants more seats in his strongholds, because Bembas do not vote for Tonga led parties. Why should Tongas vote for Bemba-led parties when Bembas do not vote for other parties, but their own Bemba parties?

The following tribes are not very tribal: Lozis, Luvales, Lundas, Kaondes, and Lambas. Basically the formerly North-Weatern Rhodesians are more accomodating of other tribes in Zambia. But, we should just accept the reality. Every group of people have got the right to behave the way they want – as long as they do not harm others.

    • kalanga is chilabombwe southern ,is katuba southern,is northwestern southern ,is mpongwe southern, what is stopping PF to grab more MMD mps.The revolution is Un stopable even in MPulungu is haileisa haileisa. The UPND management is comprised of the chairperson from Nothern kaputa, the two vice presidents are from Eastern and North western respectively.the deputy sporks persons are from muchinga and western.Keep on dreaming.the storm is blowing wina azilila.

    • Ba Maano. Have you ever lived in these places? The Chaps for whatever reasons dont like Bembas.May be something to do with inferiority complex.

  6. a politician is a politician. now the UPND wants to start inducing by elections just because of the accidental katuba win. you’ve lost direction UPND to epic proportions

  7. So because UPND won katuba HH thinks his tribal party is popular and can win all the bye elections?HH is indeed childish and ha no vision for the country. In 2016 HH will be very disappointed because he is going to lose again.mY advise is the UPND must replace HH with someone with progressive ideas not what HH presents!!Katuba was MMD seat so what is there to be exited about? We also know that a lot of people did not vote because of intimidation by UPND.If HH wants to measure his popularity let him field a candidate in a PF strong hold and he will see how his candidate will be defeated hands down!!HH is a novice indeed!!

  8. HH,
Whatever the reason, I say thats very selfish especially if these MPs are helping serve the small number of people sidelined by the rulling party. Why would you order such a thing? As someone aspiring to serve the people never ever surrender! Real commandos forge on for a good cause, take a leaf from America, Ukraine, their leaders are ready to do or die for their on people just because your MPs are serving under PF leadership doesnt mean they are serving the president, look at it from a positive angle which is helpiung to build even if it is half a stone! INfact you should be encouraging them to stay on, whats up man? Thats strange way of handling important issues, whatever the reason….. let many more serve as MPs.

  9. Syamunene, Monde and Njeulu are traitors who are eating with both hands. I am very sure they hurled a number of insults at PF and MMD during their campaigns on the UPND ticket (and money) and only realised after winning that their chances of becoming Ministers were slim since their party president had lost to Michael Sata. That is when other traitor MPs in MMD started advising them that they could still realise their dreams of becoming ministers if they approached the ruling party PF whose natural interest (very normal indeed, depending on the strategy) at the time was to gain more numbers in parliament. They shamelessly did and went further by ridiculing their humble party president. How much development have you brought to Sinjembela bo Njeulu? Mu ba beteki ndate.

  10. If l were to rate the zambian politicians in terms of the most hated ones the list would include, 1. Alexander Kamalondo 2. George Kunda 3. Mulongoti 4. Winter Kabimba. But rating them all at once, Kabimba would top them all. Correct me if l am wrong.
    End

    • e.k iam so suprised that yu are back ward to label a tribe as ifyakumushi.if yu are refering to southern province as kumushi then yu have not traveled in zambia.yu can not compare most towns in southern to those small towns in luapula and muchinga province. If katuba is lusaka were then is kumushi.Copperbelt is for the lambas so dont insult them if they vote for HH in Mpongwe .

  11. HH you are playing double standards . you have been crying to say PF has induced alot of By-elections and PF has listened to the cry of people over by elections and have stoped but now you have turned round by trying to create more by elections by forcing your MPs to resign. Guys dont misinterpret what I have said. Dont confuse people stick to what you want otherwise you will lose credibility. Be have like a man not like a baby .you give him mango he will say I want orange you give him orange he says I want mango. Leave your MPs continue serving and wait for 2016 for the sek of serving money for other developmental programes
