Konkola Mine Police Draw with Red Arrows

Share

Red Arrows on Sunday escaped from Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe with a 2-2 draw against Konkola Mine Police in a delayed FAZ Super League match.
Midfielder Daniel Sibanda opened the scoring just after 15 minutes when he rounded up Mine Police keeper Ceaser Ndhlovu to give Arrows a lead.
Arrows could have doubled their lead had referee Jani Sikazwe not ruled out Shadreck Malambo’s 36th minute goal for offside.
Three minutes after the break Mine Police levelled matters when Chanda Mushili converted a penalty to beat keeper Ken Mumba.
Ref Sikazwe pointed to the spot after defender Benedict Chepeshi fouled Andrew Tapwila in the box.
Seven minutes later Clement Mwape put the home side in frot when he headed in Tapwila’s corner.

However Mwape turned from hero to zero when he allegedly handled in box forcing the ref to award Arrows a spot kick that was converted by veteran striker Adubelo Phiri in the 63rd minute.
