Vice President Dr. Guy Scott arrived in Mfuwe yesterday for a three day working visit.
The Vice President arrived in Mfuwe in the afternoon, aboard a Zambia Air force Plane.
Meanwhile Eastern Province Acting Permanent Secretary Zachariah Luhanga told ZANIS in an interview in Mfuwe that the province has a lot of tourism potential.
Mr. Luhanga said the province has benefitted greatly from the tourism industry as a result of the good roads that have been constructed in the province.
He said Eastern Province has benefitted from the Link Zambia 8000 and this has helped to open up many tourist attractions in the area.
Mr. Luhanga said the boost in tourism has also created employment and resulted in the improved living standards for the locals.
He has since appealed to the investors in the tourism industry to revisit the wages they give to their workers.
Mr. Luhanga said despite providing employment to the local people, most lodges don’t give wages that befit the amount of labour that the workers offer.

This is the problem with this PF Government.They never acknowledge the good MMD did.Look, this PS thinks that the good road has been done by PF under the changed name from Formular One to Link Zambia 8000.This is the same road Sata condemned Rupiah for,saying how can Rupiah construct a road for animals in Mfuwe,it’s like Rupiah respected animals more than human beings.Now there you’re bwana PS busy praising Sata and Government without shame,always trying to please the bosses for the enherited development.Please give praise to MMD where it is due ,you lose nothing.

Did he use the same road Sata accused RB of building a road for animals?
The irony is that this Scott is taking holidays at our national park when his govt is busy auctioning off parks to foreign mining “infestors”. Where is Sata? He should be taking such holidays instead of those A.W.O.Ls to London OR is he waiting for the next swearing-in ceremony to swear-in another useless empty tin in his cabinet.
Our Veep, also needs a break, he is a human being, please, stop writing stupid comments, he is a hard working person, he deserves it . Thank you
May I ask what your definition of “hard work” is? What yardstick do you use to rate Zambian politicians? The moment you start properly assessing these empty tins will our country develop.

Judith Cholwe,also tell your PF President and his ceremonial VEEP,it’s time they started appreciating the enherited developmental programmes from MMD.The renamed Formuler 1 to Link Zambia 8000,Pave Zambia,Lusaka 4000,Ring Road Project,the Health Posts Project etc.I don’t know really what is really a PF original initiative of a project.Now they’re busy messing-up the good economic foundation they found,leaving only huge national and local debt burden.

Does it mean he will be doing some WORK? The only “work” these PF have done in government has been forcing bye-elections and campaigning for them!
This is just another PF LIE to hide the fact that Scott is taking another holiday at the expense of Zambian Taxpayers! When he should be busy giving us the CONSTITUTION that PF PROMISED!
