Power Dynamos coach Tennant Chilumba has saluted his midfielder Lubambo Musonda’s 15 minutes in the spotlight during Zambia’s June 6 friendly against Japan in Florida.
The 19-year-old midfielder capped his sixth Zambian cap with his debut senior goal in Chipolopolo’s 4-3 defeat to 2014 World Cup finalists Japan.
Lubambo came on in the 75th minute to replace Chisamba Lungu and twelve minutes later thundered in a long-range shot to level scores before Japan broke Zambia’s hearts with a stoppage time winner.
“I think, I was happy for the boy,” Chilumba said.
“He is working hard even when he is playing for the Under-20. I think he has matured.
“We will keep advising the boy to be disciplined because he is still very young.”
That boy impressed me.Hope his career won`t be curtailed in any way
