Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has said that the ruling party has proved that it is still a popular party.

Mr. Kabimba said that the PF victory in the just ended Mangango parliamentary by-election and other ward elections is an endorsement by the people for the party to continue deliver development.

He said that people have seen what the Patriotic Front has done so far in developing the country, hence the vote of confidence.

Mr. Kabimba added that the outcome of the Mangango by-election should send a clear message to the opposition that the ruling party is still popular and that opposition should stop cheating themselves that they are popular.

Mr. Kabimba further stated that the victory should also send a warning to the opposition that it will not be easy for them to remove the Patriotic Front from power because the party is still strong and the Zambian people still have confidence in the party.

And he Patriotic Front Party (PF) in Mongu is excited that the party scooped the Mangango parliamentary by- election yesterday.

Patriotic Front Publicity Secretary, Captain (retired) Lawrence Nyambe said this to ZANIS in Mongu in an interview today.

He said the sweet victory is a mark of approval and acceptance of President Satas’ government and leadership .

Capt Nyambe added that the party was reaping from its performance of delivering development to the people of Western Province and Zambia at large.

Capt Nyambe also said that the PF Mangango by election victory was a vote of confidence which the party accepts with gratitude and promised to work even harder to deliver more development.

The Patriotic Front Party Scooped the Mangango by Parliamentary and local government elections in Kaoma yesterday.

  1. Only simpletons would disagree with that

I think it is a definite and 110% assurity PF will be in government until 2021

Mr Kabimba on behalf of everyone here, thank you for reminding us

Unlike HH you say the truth all the time (well not all the time , but MOST)

Only people not as clever as some of us , would vote this comment down

    Thanks

  2. Oh yes the victory has proved that. What do you expect with all the schools, hospitals and roads being built around the county ? The people are not blind not to notice what the mighty PF is doing for this country.Under 5 must be licking his wounds now.The chaps from Upnd took a good hiding. Maybe this will make them realize that not everyone in Zambia reads their crap on Zambia watchdog.

    • Husband and wife, she even calls you S?? But please you two, donot under any circumstances procreate. The world has so many *****ts as it is, look at the one hibernating in State house. Hopefully he will come out when it gets a little warmer. Fingers crossed

    • all of a sudden young is quiet. Defeat is painful. Or may be he has been evacuated to isreal too. Y is this man mute

    • We have always reminded the under 5 party that it is only the ones diaspora and a few of us with smart phones who contribute on the blog. The villagers are only interested in road, schools, hospitals etc, and not how many cows under 5 has or how energetic he is. It is the wife and family who would be interested in such.

    • @Saulosi and all pf cadres,Let this be clear to you.infrastructure development is one of the mandate of the government in power.
YOU ARE NOT DOING PEOPLE A FAVOUR BY BUILDING SCHOOLS,ROADS AND HOSPITALS.STOP BOASTING.
The money for development does not belong to pf as part,it’s tax payers money and money which you are borrowing.
It’s easy to hoodwink villagers because they are gullible.

  3. It sweet say you are popular based on the results.my advice to UPND is to work hard through soul searching, modernisation of the party, reaching out the 9’provinces . Stop People like Wanzelu and ZWD from damaging it image of not being a moderate and inclusive party. The level at which ZWD and people like Wanzelu operate has greater impact on UPND. Chibamba Kanyama once said ‘Tongas need to reach out even those they do not like in order to achieve what they aim to achieve.’ Hate, violence, character assassination, accepting wrong doing will no win any moderate person. HH has to listen even to those he dislike with passion. Politics is about numbers . If Wanzelu was on my pay role I couldn’t pay him. Too extreme, alarmist and naturally a hater . Maestro was similar to Wanzelu but…

  4. He is the new bull in the kraal. He has proved he is a good architect. The new captain of the boat many feared was about to sink, has some familiarity with paddling a canoe on the Zambezi river. Even though sick, Mr. Sata must be grateful that PF is still in very able hands. Congrats Kabimba. I am compelled to give you the benefit of a doubt that you do have a possibly admirably political stature. Frankly though, you have been a mess when it comes to the constitution.

  5. You lot above. Please stop annoying the UPND/ZWD online trolls they are still cr@pp!ng their pants. We don’t want the $h|t to hit the fan do we? Lol!

  6. Chekov, well said brother . ZWD is an alarmist and extremist website it’s like being run by terrorists . Full of hate, alarming and character assassination of the opponent of HH and UPND. Sata is a dictator, as if president Sata has made people miserable, controls their freedom of movement or lights. Public order was there before MMD and yet there was no complains because president Sata is mature and seasoned politician managed this obeyed this law and managed it effectively. How many times mr Banda stopped president Sata holding meetings many times but followed the law and patience pays. Today he is a president. HH has no patience and made it clear he will make Sata fail to govern as if he was the one voted for . mr president. If you read articles at ZWD you think there is bloodshed.

    • #UPND POBO’D! How many times have these chaps thrown reason out the window and preached anarchy and hate bakalamba? These trolls are really annoying!

    • I concur. Unfortunately, it only goes to show how small-minded those ZWD fellows are. They are waging a political warfare using dirt, gorilla warfare tactics. But gorilla warfare is for the bush. It is not too well suited to cyber space. They are an eyesore and a disgrace to their own selves. Shame on ZWD.

  7. If I were you Mr. Kabimba I will not speak too early when there are more by-elections to come. Would rather say this after all remaining results go in PF’s favour. I can imagine what he would say if the remaining seats go to opposition. Would Mr. Kabimba say or accept then that the opposition is popular? He must remember how Katuba was lost just recently and therefore must be cautious when making such comments.

But guess that’s what politics are all about.

    • You seem to be missing the stakes. The Mangango by-election is the first one PF has won outside PF’s stronghold without help from their charismatic leader and party founder, Michael Chilufya Sata.

The Mangango victory proves one thing, that it is still business as usual in PF even when Michael Sata decides to take a break or a nap. Such a victory is worth tossing and celebrating by Kabimba and his compatriots.

It is like a small boy going fishing alone for the first time without his father and brings back a good catch at the end of the day. It means the son has come of age and the father has cause to smile. Mumba and Hichilema were beaten flat on their own turf by a fellow just about their age, were one to take the trouble of comparing the trio’s political CVs.

  8. Who are tribalist in Zambia Tongas or Bembas going by Mangango results.
Some Zambians have branded others as tribalists when they themselves are tribal by overwhelming evidence in every work and government activities.

    • Are you asking a question or stating a comment? The fact of the matter is that since 1964, the voting in Western Province has never been tribal. On the other hand, since 1964, the voting in Muchinga, Northern, Luapula and Southern Provinces has always been tribal. But the Bembas and the Tongas don’t want to be seen as the only ones who are tribal. They need company and for that reason, they are very quick and very aggressive when it comes to labeling other tribes as being tribal too.

  9. just create a condusive environment for all politicians to campaign freely without intimidation. Upnd is becoming more popular going by the mangango results

  10. Some cadre above just said presidential by election, your fail parliamentary and you want presidential mukawina shani, start from the bottom, when you are young you go ku under 5 then hospital, you are rushing my dear brother tamwakafike ngamulebutukila, learn to learn and put ZWD aside they are misleading you people ati famous and landslide, I asked and am still asking for someone to tell me what HH is promising to do if I am to vote for him, at constitution, what in the constitution am I going to vote for? Roads, schools, hospitals are all being worked on so why tae the risk and vote for a party without direction?

  11. With most of the comments above ,Zambia is far from developing the mentality because even those who are in diaspora, are wapping for nothing.pf lost badly in mkaika,David phiri, there was violence between mmd and pf,upnd was not a factor,so the common dinominetor is pf,hence its Cristal clear.as for results,in any competition their has to be win and losers, but that doesn’t mean u are the best.both upnd and pf have die hards, wanzelu and saulosi.its acceptable in a Democratic country.offer solutions to your respective parties not name calling.

    • Please mind the style and quality of your writing. It is hard to make heads and tails reading through your comment. Improve your punctuation etc.

  12. ZWd is the best online media,95% of its reports are true, but they play it smart in order to protect their informants, without them we wouldn’t have known what we know about pf and sata .ignore them at your own peril.

    • ZWD is engaged in a political warfare. It is far from being neutral. One has to speak their language, otherwise, they cut you off! Neutrality is an important aspect of good reporting. Yes, they reveal more things which we would otherwise not get to know. That is good. However, they are biased in their reporting. They are pursuing a political agenda.

  13. Firstly people shouldn’t deceive themselves about the PF win in Mangango as an approval or benchmark for 2016! Mangango has 33 polling stations, now if you pump in Government resources in such a small place? District Commissioners were all involved in the campaigns with Government Vehicles! Have you forgotten how one Deputy Minister was trying to change number plates? Cows were slaughtered and Maheu given to the voters..if delivering a pay phone to a School from a goverment institution warrants nullification, what about the above?

  14. Only an empty tin like arrogant Kabimba can celebrate with such a high figures of voter apathy….if I was a SG of a ruling party this would be great concern.
As for the opposition I have always that they are too disorganised, selfish and power hungry…if you can lose to a party with an absentee sickly frail leader imagine the outcome if he was able to walk and talk. I think they stand to lose if the old man stepped down this moment. ..time to wake up as you have no strategy whatsoever! !

    • Now hold on just a minute Mr. ‘Jelita is now married in Kanyama’, I AM the most negative chap on this blog and not Jay Jay! Kindly amend your records accordingly sir.
      Thanks.

  15. …how I wish we had a bye election in Lsk, Kabwe or CB urban areas…that would be a real test for ALL the parties

  16. I always get amazed when I hear people say UPND is growing fast countrywide!now look at recent 25 local Govt.by-elections,PF won 18 and oppositions 7 and mostly in southern!HH can start dreaming of winning once starts winnining by-elections in Lusaka urban, copperbelt urban,Luapula,Northern,Eastern,Muchinga and central urban!as at now HH can’t win in most of these areas!the fact is no opposition party can defeat PF in 2016 or even 2021.PF is too strong and greatly loved by many zambians!sorry but HH doesn’t inspire many voters just like Nevers Mumba!

    • You are living in denial. Very soon you will be shocked beyond measure. The PF stole Mangango vote and UPND won bye-election on the copperbelt recently. The last week’s byelectio s were based on intimidating voters to prove appoint. There was no voter independence. And anyway, the PF presidential candidate is Kabimba. So lets wait and see how much Luapula will give him

  17. Every silver linning has a cloud and Kabimba knows that. This phyrric victory is like winning the battle but in the end losing the war.The war of 2016.

    • …its ..’every cloud has a silver lining’……well then , if you go by that adage then try to pick something positive to what Kabimba is saying and use it to your advantage as opposition…

  18. continue fooling your self bye elections are easy too win cos you threaten people that you don’t vote for the ruling party you shall never see development, 20 16 is coming by then satan will have been in Hell with his fellow DEVILS > kabimba ukaye kulubemba Mwalinyela kuntulo > Muleyanga nobwakumwiko , mukachimona ichamwene munsholomwa we shall see kano tamwatuka lubembe . alyo mukateka ayenu panshi . all these contracts you have shared will take you into Prisons > God is watching

  19. Breaking new!!! Halenya Haleshinda ‘ll also do a Sata,he ‘ll lay low and won’t even go to drum up support in the 5 up coming election.

  20. PF is the party to trust. since getting the instrument of power, they hit the ground running by covering up the RB formula 1 dust he created by tarring those roads and equally paid back the loan for the same and that of mobile hospital. progressed on the Link Zambia 8000 creating tarmac roads where they never existed. refurbishing hospitals, schools and govt offices. increased the tax threshold for the low income earners to take home ZMW3000. uplifted the civil servants with salary increment making the civil service once shunned, a destination for employment. I am simply saying, the government has Zambia at heart unlike previous governments and those aspiring who have issue at their hands ie pocketing donations meant for the embassy and privatizations funds.

  21. Kabimba is Tonga. This guarantees that a Tonga man will be the next president of Zambia! Bembas, what have you got to say for yourselves now? This clever Tonga man has out manouvered you 🙂 Ati a Tonga man will never rule Zambia, what nonsense… I hear you are now singing praises for Kabimba ….

  22. Mr. Kabimba your choice of words simply implies that you were fearing and you still fear that your party is not popular as it used to be. listen to the following statement you uttered: you said “the ruling party is still popular and that opposition should stop cheating themselves that they are popular.”

by saying “still popular” it means you feared that you were not and not until the Mangango by-elections, you were scared pants down that you were going to lose.

anyway let me not bore leaders with so many observations.

    • Of course! There is no question that the ruling party was jittery regarding its prospects of winning that by-election. Despite that, however, they still won. Remember Julius Caesar’s “We came we Saw we Conquered.” That’s why the loss should be that much more painful to UPND.

  23. i guess kabimba is now more than confident of being at the helm of pf… but zambian politics is very sceptical , one may just pop out of nowhere and advance to presidency

  24. You rigged you prick! With all those pea-brains firing guns and the uniforms that “hoe” Libongani distributed to non-policemen. And, oh, giving the instruments of power to Kabimba once King Mubobo leaves the stage will be the biggest mistake Zambia will commit. That will be the end of democracy as we know it in the country what with the backing of Al Bashir!

  25. This is a BY ELECTION with a low turnout and threats ba Kabimba that is your personal opinion 2016 is coming

    • Get your history of Mangango right. Even during the recent General Election of 2011 only 7,000 out of 17,000 electorate cast their votes representing about 41% voter turn out. During the bye-election of this week, 6,500 out of 17,000 electorate cast their votes representing 38% voter turnout. What these statistics show is that almost all the voters who participated in the 2011 election again participated in the bye election (97% participation). In other words there was no voter apathy.

    • Zebron you are also mistaken. Sata’s election recorded the lowest voter turnout ever at 54%. In 2006 it was 71%. Clearly, people are not too inspired by the choices. Image what will happen when the difference between 71% and 54% show up in 2016.

    • Insulting is not the right way of morning your Mangango Loss. We have always advised that UPND is a weak party on its own unless the elections are taking place in southern province. This problem has been compounded by the fact HH is not a popular political figure. Surely how do you explain that in 2001 Anderson Mazoka amassed 79,000 votes in Lusaka while HH despite an additional 1.2 million new voters who came on board only managed to get 45,000 in the same province .HH is simply not a popular candidate and you will prove this yourself come 2016

  26. PF have destroyed any chances of holding free and fair elections. They have set a very high standard of clinging on to power by all means. Those who sympathise with this kind of behavior should realise that one day someone else will take over and do the same or even worse. Zambia has been going in reverse for the last 50 years despite our wealth because of this winner takes and controls all mentality. It’s for this reason Guy Scott said many people would go in exile if a new government took over. In other words, he was warning the PF that you do everything at your disposal to win otherwise the opposition will make you pay for what you have done. This is unhealthy for our young democracy. Compete to serve the nation not to torture others.

  27. The biased UPND supporters are so blind to see that the PF is doing such a great job . How can anyone in their right mind support a party that is comprised of the likes of Austin Liato, William Banda and so on?Justice has spoken, when we speak of development look at the constituencies being run by UPND and you’ll be worried that these hyenas ever take over I tell you! Mazabuka, Kalomo and Choma are quite honestly dirty towns with no respect to cleanliness..even HHs farms are dirty with workers that look as if they are prisoners working on hard labour. These are the people that aspire for plot one, I think most Zambians are not as dull as some of these UPND cadres that post their biased support for a party led by a thieving ex ZPA official just because of a primitive belief in tribe.

    • Ba guy, get advice from a neighbour on the application of the word ‘biased’ and please make it a non-PF neighbor coz a PF one will probably be as dull as you. You cannot use the word ‘biased’ in reference to someone who has openly supported the object or party that you are referring to. When the support is subtle or non-declared or expressed in forms of favouring the party or object , then you can use the word ‘biased’ OK mwaiche? Write it down if you want. PF will always be a hopeless party. Lozis are loyal people and Lingweshi was a headmaster in Mangango, widley known in drinking circles and generally liked. The people voted for the person and not for the party.

  28. well, some people want to see the president, they want to see President Sata in Public. Whether Mr. Sata appears today in Public he will not put Bread on people’s table. Michael Sata is not dead, michael Sata is within the country. 50% of Zambian population has never seen president Kaunda face to face, Mwanawasa, chiluba, Ruphiah Banda and Michael Sata face to face. This time most of the citizen wants to see the president, follow the protocal go to state house, I am sure they will be happy to receive you and see the face of the president. I believe all the operation of the country is done by the president, not the OP or security wings as “watch Dog reported” Most of us have never seen Hakainde Hichilema but we hear he exist, i believe 15% of zambian population have seen H.H face to…

    • Thank the Lord you run out of space because your reasoning is extremely childish. What we want answers to is ‘Why is the president not seen in public???!!’ We do not want to be lectured to about how seeing him won’t put food on my table, have you done a census to find out why people are demanding to see him? Do you know what their objectives are? Do not make blanket assumptions and think you know what the citizen’s reasoning is but stick to your own shallow reasoning. You mention HH, is he the president? Is he in charge of the armed forces of this country? Please think, I know as a PF cadre being a dunderhead is inherent but sometimes you need to fight through all that mist of dullness clouding your tiny brain and try to think!!

    • We are not seeing roads being done there because the UPND MPs of those towns are selfish individuals that are more interested in driving the latest 4x4s and negotiating for increments in gratuity. CDF allocates funds to the consituencies never once have I read or heard any UPND MP complain of being underfinanced instead they are busy showing their faces whenever the Hyena is on tv attacking the govt on non developmental issues such as name calling of Hon Kabimba and threatening PF cadres at by elections, what nonsense UPND is just a disaster!

  29. Woow!!The PF has now spread its wings in western province,an area the UPND claims its territory!!Wanzelu and other hired UNPD cadres must be wondering what has befallen them.UPND is only popular in the mouths of HH and his minions. The people in rural areas dont hear your wirld baseless barking and the inccessant noise that is broadcast by UPND cadres online.Shame, shame UPND!!Pull up your sorks, replace HH with somebody more experienced, nontribal and some one who has a heart for Zambia not for his ego.Selfishness,Tribalism,Bitterness will surely not win an election!!

    • Very true @ehat a life!!! you know I’ve said it before and I deeply believe that UPND are a biased party they never admit when they are wrong, PF is ready to admit that there are elements within it that are letting the govt down but those elements are really double agents whose loyalty appears to be with the former ruling party and the United Party for National Destruction (UPND). The ones bringing the good works of PF down I think are known to all, if the PF party can have a cleansing then it will be on the right track for total victory and assured of a real landslide result come 2016.

  30. The party is STILL popular,Kabimba knows doomsday is coming.Life is tough in Zambia. That is why corruption is rampart
