The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has doubted the assurance by Vice President Guy Scott that President Michael Sata will be able to open the next sitting of the National Assembly.
UPND Deputy Spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo wonders why people should believe the Vice President when the President has not been able to grace important functions recently.
Mr. Lifwekelo says this is the basis for his party’s doubts the President will be able to grace the ceremonial opening of Parliament.
But Vice President Guy Scott has made an assurance that the Head of State will grace the opening of Parliament dismissing assertions that the President might not make it for the opening of Parliament.

I find it interesting that Nalumango, Dr. Banda, Kapita, Lifwekelo, Musonda and all these are tribalist against themselves and their own people. OPENING PARLIAMENT BY THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT
Whether the president opens the parliament or not the fact is the damage has already been caused . the president has not be available to the Zambian people far too long. and this has been mishandled by pf a lot. this in itself will work against pf very much should there be an election, it will be very difficult to convince people why a president must be awol. This is a very serious issue though PF is trying to under play, but within PF others within PF are using the AWOL of the state President to consolidate themselves. This action by the president has created two good camps with in PF and this lift will go on even when elections will come these two groups will never work together. IT SHALL BE WORSE IF MR.SATA CAN APPOINT A VICE PRESIDENT…

How shocking to note that even PF fraternity is not worried with long unexplained absence of Sata. What lies a head of all this is either death or physical appearance of Sata. Either way will be hard to be explained and taken as truth to the general public by PF party. Zambians don’t deserve absence of a president or unseen president without any explanation. Some thing is wrong and hidden by PF government.
