Zambia Sugar Plc has announced the resignation of Dr Aubrey Chibumba as Managing Director with effect from 9th September, 2014.
The firm has since appointed Mrs. Rebecca Katowa, currently the Marketing Director of the Company, as the acting Managing Director with effect from the same date.
Zambia Sugar Plc Board has thanked Dr Chibumba for his services to the Company and wished Mrs. Katowa well in her role as acting Managing Director.
Dr Chibumba served as Managing Director and Executive Director of Zambia Sugar Plc since February 1, 2013.
He holds a MSc degree, a MPhil degree and a BEng degree.
He is Chartered Financial Analyst.
He previously served as chief executive officer (CEO) of Scirocco Enterprises Ltd and National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA).
Can HEMCS do something about Zambia Sugar noting Mr Shamenda has been wage freezed. These bafoons first targeted James Mukukwa (Factory Manager), and then Mr Chibumba.
This is in order to rid Zambia Sugar of Zambians in senior Management owing to revelations of Tax Avoidance by Zambia Sugar. This rot has to be stopped NOW.
Can HEMCS please have a body determine just how much Tax Zambia Sugar should have paid, considering Tax Avoidance issues they’ve around there neck? Can we also help Zambia Sugar determine what price a Kg of Sugar ought to be selling in Zambia and price control it to there.
Nakambala is the biggest mill among the Illovo one’s, these bafoons are stealing and using Zambia Sugar to finance a lot of there non performing mills in SA. This lot needs to stop and NOW.

Let bye gones be simply dogs that need not be awakened. What would you do if Zambia Sugar has evidence of impropriety by the duo? To dismiss two senior managers at one go smacks of severe disciplinary matters hanging around their necks. Companies ‘know’ what they are usually doing as they would have consulted a plethora of legal experts, locally and abroad. That is my take.
Zambia Sugar, like many other so called investors, has simply come to rip off Zambian while our political leaders fight about which of the lot is tribal and corrupt. Can someone, with any knowledge, share the rates that Zambia Sugar pays Zambian contractors it engages in transporting sugar? Thats on top of high prices of sugar and tax avoidance.
We need strong political leadership with a genuine interest of Zambians if we are to clean up our economy of these “INFESTORS” as Sata used to say (Meaning he knows what they really are but turns a blind eye).
But on what basis is Dr if the qualifications don’t have PhD in ……… its either he is a self imposed Dr or ba LT are the culprits here for not properly aligning his qualifications to match the title of Dr.

Preservation of Human Capital in the sectors is important Mr Chimumba is well read fellow and elder member of CFA his intelligence is well attested and known across the regions and oceans He must be absorbed in other for retention of that experience and national development.
I did not know Mr Chimumba but recently was referred to him from US from his colleagues with such a recommendation that I was puzzled we have fine brains thou wasteful

He is Unpatriotic to work for a company that robs Zambia. He should use his education to further his country. He can now tell us how to get our tax from this SugarDemon. This is just multinational politics. They rattle the Zambian staff around to protect their racketeering.
What the gov’t ought to do is pay heed to calls to sort out tax contribution to Zambia from these multinationals. We are poor, giving our resources away and failing to collect taxes is not a good idea. I once worked for Shell for senior top level directors and was about the only black on that level. Pitied Nigerians trying to get work in there, never hired unless for lower levels. These bastards are mean!
Whilst parastals and government positions are vacated by screaming headlines of ‘fired’, ‘dropped’, ‘terminated’, ‘dismissed’ or ‘shuffled’, the corporate world uses ‘resigned’ or ‘seperated’ as euphemism for ‘FIRED’!
You do not serve for less than two years as at a large corporate as did Chibumba and suddenlyfrom the blues ‘resign’. He has been fired just like happened at NAPSA. And maybe for similar reasons???
MPhil is just shy of a PhD, right? But does that give you the title already? Just asking. Anyhow, Chibumba scurried away from NAPSA at some point and this appears to be a pattern forming. Could it be that his qualifications are higher and better than his attitude???

Well, the little I know about this guy is that he is educated but lacks manners, inter- personal skills and the diplomatic etiquette that comes with senior positions such as a CEO. This is a guy who uses words like exe, you guys, what’s up???etc. he is also a criminal. these guys put NAPSA money in a CASINO business without board or investment sub- committee approval…he is crook and he has fallen out with fellow crooks.

From the time this so called learned but tribalist i.dio.t came to Nakambala he began to systematically Bembalise all important positions in factory, finance, human resource and services.
He brought in bembas to head HR (Mutati), Company Secretary (Mwansa), Finance Director (Mambwe), Treasurer (Bwalya), Finance Accountant (another Bemba), brought back fired bembas (Lumbeta) and then reprieved fired bemba factory manager (Mukukwa). He then gave major tenders to Bemba copperbelt companies.
