Roan Utd relegation shocks Fordson Kabole

Share

Roan United coach Fordson Kabole is shocked with the relegation of the Luanshya club from the FAZ Super Division.

Roan were on Sunday demoted to Division One after losing 1-0 to Indeni in a delayed Week 27 match at Arthur Davies Stadium.

“It surprises me the team has gone down. How could the team go as low as all that? Roan United we were up there but I don’t know,” Kabole lamented.

He attributed Roan’s free fall in 2014 to lack of proper youth structures at the club.

“The sponsors have to pump in money, if they think that the team can survive without looking after the juniors then they must think again.”

Kabole suggested that the current squad be maintained to ensure that the team bounces back quickly.

“At the end of the season it is up to the sponsors to make the environment suitable for this team and then during the off-season they have got to reinforce what they have got.

If they let everything (players) go then the will have a problem coming back to the Super Division,” he said.
