A Time for Prayer and Reflection
We are a country in mourning. That is the way it should be when the leader of a nation passes on. Since the news of the death of President Michael Sata, the streets and bars, homes and political hallways have been filled with talk of who will succeed the man who led our nation for the past three years. The airwaves have been filled with arguments about whether the current republican vice president can legitimately perform the functions of the office of the Head of State. Countless dark corner meetings are being held in various locations where, no doubt, plans are bring hatched to outmanoeuvre real and perceived opponets.
When all is said and done, no amount of persuasion or cajoling will prevent politicians from being politicians. So let them do what they do best. Let them meet and scheme and plot and manoeuvre.
But let God be God. We can spend all our time scheming and dreaming, conniving and planning but if we have not sought guidance from our Creator and laid our plans before Him, our schemes will have been in vain.
I will therefore be taking 7 days away from public view, to quietly and contemplatively mourn our departed president and to pray for the first family and the nation at this time of our collective bereavement. My prayer is that this will be a time of spiritual guidance, providing clarity and coherence regarding how we can unify out country as we move beyond Mr. Sata in the year of our Golden Jubilee.

Tomorrow me and my wife are going together, I mean hand-in-hand, to church since Easter. And all because of Ba Sata.
I have no doubt my prayers will be answered.
It’s about time for all politicians to do self reflection and introspection. It’s not just about Sata dying. It’s about time politicians refrained from politics of deceit, lies and oppression. A time of reckoning will come for everyone. Dont think that you politicians are clever. You will reap what you sow and be held accountable for everything you did to God’s people. If you took care of God’s people, you will rest in peace. The opposite is also the same.
I have always wondered what the fascination is, with this clowny politician? His Micky mouse party has never won any election since it was formed. This is guy that got just over 12 000 votes nationally in last presidential election. Compare that to the 18 000 votes for Canisius Banda as a losing parliamentary candidate for Mandevu

Chipimo always misses the point. What reflection are you talking about? Death is inevitable. We Zambians have lost a leader (debatable) instead of you – chipimo showing off your leadership skills to the Zambian electorate in these dark times, you are going in hiding reflecting on something that is part of nature (death). Any way you are still an amateur politician.

This is pharistical behaviour at its best and Jesus rebuked it. The young man needs spiritual guidance.
There is all styles of posturing going on. Some have made comments they would have never made had the late Sata been alive. There are proponents of two centers of power springing up, comparing themselves to wise King Solomon. We even have those that will come back with a vengeance to confirm why it is that Scott is illegally installed right now. It is a heckling time and a lot of comedy will now play out before the last vote is cast. I didn’t know ‘Yes, Prime Minister’ could be had for free like this…
