Mighty Mufulira Wanderers supporters have applauded the legendary club for bouncing back to the Super League.
Wanderers won promotion on Sunday to end a nine-year FAZ Super League exile.
Kitwe district Wanderers supporters chairman Mumba Mwila said he was thrilled by the teams promotion.
“It is exciting you don’t know how we are feeling. It has not been easy for us to win promotion,” Mwila said.
Misheck Chileya said:”It is a big story I will tell to my children and my children’s children because it has not been easy for Mighy to return to the Super League.”
Mighty were demoted for the first time in their history in 2002 before making a brief return in 2005.
Sam Mkandawire hoped that Wanderers would never be relegated again.
“I am very excited and very happy. We here to stay in the Super League we are not going back to the lower league.We will be here forever and ever,” Mkandawire said.
He added:” We want the team to be the best in the country as we are well supported.”
As long as they have sponsorship they can stay in the premier league. Remember their demise came with the end of ZCCM
Zambian football need Mighty Mufulira Wanderers in top flight soccer which is the Premier league because they will bring a different type of play and atmosphere to the game and I hope they will work more harder this time around to stay in League because they are agreat team and they don’t belong to be in First division.
