The Opposition APC President Nason Msoni has called on that Acting President Guy Scott to relinquish power to someone competent enough to handle the transition period claiming he has failed to provide leadership in both Government and his party.
Speaking in an interview Mr. Msoni said Dr. Scott has lamentably failed to show leadership as can be seen from the never ending Central Committee meetings in his party which are spilling over to Cabinet meetings hence should relinquish power and let someone capable of handling the transition period with the dignity that the country deserves takeover.
The Opposition leader noted that the country has been put on the spotlight by the international media for all the wrong reasons and that the country should not be on standstill economically due to Dr. Scott’s incompetence.
“By all means government has become ungovernable so its only fair that Dr. Scott steps aside to allow for someone competent to steer this country forward to the next elections.
“He is failing to hold government together, he is also failing to hold his party together. Cabinet meetings are being disrupted by the politics of the PF spilling over into cabinet meaning that this country is at stand still.
We can’t have a country on a standstill for 50days or so, we think that a lot of things will be destroyed and the economy is literally shrinking,” said Mr. Msoni
‘we are making headlines on the international media for all the wrong reasons thereby sending wrong signals to potential investors as foreign capital is sensitive to such political battles.”
Mr. Msoni further suggested that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to ask “another force to step in so as to bring the country to normality.”
Asked as what he meant by “another force” Mr. Msoni could only respond that the country needs an intervening force to avoid the break down in the rule of law.
“In any play if players don’t agree you bring in a referee in this case who’s the referee to stop fight, where is the referee, we need a referee to stop fight and put things in order,” Mr. Msoni said.
Subtlety right now is preferable to bull dogs snapping. If everyone moved on and did what they were supposed to be doing the country would not notice after all how many months did we run without an active head of state. It is only two months.
Once you hear this nonsense you should question HH for agreeing to be endorsed by this man.
