Reading about a whole lot of whats going in the Zambian politics leaves much to be desired. When MC Sata passed, so many people started glorifying Sata and spoke a lot of good things about him. Let me first say that MC Sata was not a good president and even though a lot of people are glorifying him now, he was such a bad example of a leader. He refused to enact the new constitution and abused the public order act and wanted to send all his opponents to prison with frivolous charges. He increased his salary more than 100% of the original salary when most Zambians where still living in poverty. To me, Sata does not qualify to be considered a good leader and the only way a good leader can be adored is the legacy of continuity he leaves behind. He turned this nation into a police state.

Which brings me to the idea of bringing RB back into active politics. RB is respected now because of the way he handed over power to Sata and he should not even cheat himself like he is a big factor in our political system. RB has no influence at all and he lives in a bubble and those people lying to him that he can win elections are just cheating him and if he makes a mistake and chooses to go ahead with this decision, he will live in regret because of the huge repudiation that the people of Zambia will punish upon him. He is not a factor and he should not even cheat himself that he has influence and no body wants him except those wanting to milk him of the money he has and will be left to regret because he will lose all his benefits. The infighting going on in MMD and PF shows that a house divided against itself will not stand and its a sign that this is the time for HH to rise to the helms.
I never supported HH but after seeing how he has matured and the confidence he has raised in people especially when he said that he will donate his salary to charity, shows that he is a man who is not interested in enriching himself but wants to better the lives of the ordinary Zambian. Its time we supported HH and I hear it in his voice, I think he is genuine and its time for Zambia to elect HH. Time for tribal divisions is long gone and we need to elect someone with quality and I will do everything I can in my power to make sure I campaign for him.
The fact that most influential politicians have come out in the open to support him, only shows that he is now ready to lead Zambia because the PF and the MMD’s fighting only shows that they are more concerned about themselves than the people.
Watch this space people of Zambia and the political landscape will be shocked because of what God is about to do in this nation. A lot of our poeple have suffered for a long time at the hands of political liars and its time we changed our voices by electing somebody new and fresh. HH and Nevers Mumba are the only people who can change Zambia in its current shape but MMD is surrounded by people who are breathing death to the party at the moment and Muhabi Lungu should have never been entrusted with power because everything he touches dies just like UNIP, and MMD is following the same route because Muhabi is at the helm of it now.

In reacting to the above masterpiece written by M.Bwalya, I see HH as the only candiate who is capable of addressing the past inequalities in Zambia with ripple effects. The inequalities were sysstematically exercibated by Sata and his clonies. Besides, for purpose of clarity, I am not arguing that the inequalities were merely brought about by Sata and his clonies. But whilst arguing on the same token, it is significant to realise that Sata took advantage of the poor socio-economic conditions which were prevelent prior to 2011 elections. Good. This article is based on issues. This is what we need to debate on . ISSUES. I wish bloggers could argue, support or oppose etc etc based on issues. Events in the last few years in our Country have shown that it is issues that will make a improvement.
Speculative article which is not based on evidence on the ground. HH would in fact seem to endorse Sata by adopting many of his approaches, such as the street vendors issue. Although one could say that MCS was unrefined in his approach, he was effective. Some of us have seen a shift in attitude by civil servants and others serving the public. People have responded by doing their jobs, without demanding `brown envelopes’, as was the case with MMD. We see better made roads and better attitude from the Chinese investors. We see many things looking a hundred times better. Isn’t that a sign of better things to come? HH has a fight on his hands, especially having brought to the fore people like Mwaanga, Maureen Mwanawasa and co. VJ is an old story and Maureen was more corrupt than her husband.
You are misunderstanding HH on street vendors and demolitions. He has a better way of handling them. These are problems that the previous administrations have lamentably failed to address. He claims to have a better way of handling them. Next time he stops in your neighborhood on the campaign trail, make sure you attend the rally and ask him that question. If he does not answer it to your satisfaction, wait for the next candidate. Vote for the one that will give you an elaborate plan to address those two issues since they seem to be of superior importance to you.

There is a strong case for UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema. The PF has done a lot of damage to the Zambian psyche with so many broken and unfulfilled statements. I shall not forget the way those who spoke of the constitution were said to be yapping (i.e. backing as dogs do). I shall not forget how PF cadres have run roughshod and hacked people even as they damaged their cars leaving mayhem behind. Have you PF apologists forgotten how one of your cadres drove a car into a crowd at Chikwa courts while the police were watching? Or does it not matter to you that UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema was hassled out of the Eastern province at the behest of state house? All these atrocities and injustices have left a bad taste in my mouth and made me vow never to vote PF.
