Sata challenged to justify Levy’s benefit from Chiluba’s alleged plunder

Share

Government has challenged opposition Patriotic Front, PF, leader Michael Sata to provide government with information on how second republican president Dr. Chiluba’s administration allegedly stole public resourses that President Levy Mwnawasa allegedly benefited from.

Chief Government spokesperson, Mike Mulongoti said Mr. Sata should explain to the nation how President Mwanawasa benefited from the resources allegedly plundered by Dr. Chiluba and others.

Mr. Mulongoti regretted that Mr. Sata was trying to gain political mileage out of cases of abuse of office that Dr. Chiluba is facing before the courts of law.

Mr. Mulongoti was reacting to Mr. Sata’s comment published in one of the privately
owned daily newspaper that alleged that President Mwanawasa benefited from the
public resources allegedly embezzled by Dr. Chiluba during his reign.

On the MMD vehicles, Mr. Mulongoti maintained that the ruling party bought the
vehicles using it own funds.

Mr. Mulongoti further lashed out at Evangelical Felloweship of Zambia Executive
Director Bishop Paul Mususu for failing to recognise President Mwanawasa’s effort in
fighting corruption.

Mr. Mulongoti, who is also Chief Government spokesperson, challenged Bishop Mususu
to accept the fact that the corruption crusade has helped expose Dr. Chiluba and his
accomplices of abuse of public resources.

And Mr. Mulongoti has advised Dr. Chiluba to register his grievances to the High Court of Zambia, for them to be enforceable.

Mr. Mulongoti said trans-national crime requires the aggrieved party to adhere to pocedure of channeling complaints through the High Court.

London High Court Judge Peter Smith ordered Dr. Frederick Chiluba to pay US$46
million resources of alleged plundered resources.

Mr. Mulongoti also disclosed that government will soon set an inquiry to establish whether Mr. Sata is corrupt.

Mr. Mulongoti alleged that Mr. Sata whilst serving as Cabinet Minister and MMD
National Secretary, in the second republic abused and swindled the National Assembly
about K2 billion the money meant for the MMD national convention.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mulongoti has appealed to all loving Zambians to be alert in the graft fight to rid the nation of corrupt people.

  1. Well, there you have it; you put a party cadre into a ministerial position, the results are fairly predictable. This clueless wimp is spending tax payers’ money to do MMD work while FOI work, etc, are pending. Am happy to be paying my taxes elsewhere, but Zambians do deserve a break from such embecility.

  2. Mulongoti is this the path you want to follow as Minister of Information?Already this just tells us that you are just following VJ’s/Teta steps of boot licking, make a difference be autonomous and speak sense. What will the public gain through that enquiry which was once handled by Parliament. You cannot continue to deny what you know about corruption, where is Kashiwa today? Was it just the slip of the tongue that nolle was entered? People mentioned in the Vulture fund corruption case they are still running about freely,Bishop Mususu has rightly expressed his views and you have to respect that. This is the sad part of African politicians a negative opinion means enemity,Mulongoti rethink your position in that demagoguery govt. There are alot facts about Levy’s corrupt pratices which are going on under carpet, mudslinging will not take us anywhere, people need clean water, shelter, medicine, food and you want to waste money on a stupid enquiry.Stop it, that is retrogressive thinking.Shame

  3. Kuku, people like Mulongoti are unreformable. Its laughable that they even come close to heading what should be serious govt duties.

This what they call governing a country. We sow seeds of our destruction.

  4. We need a different Zambia? We need visionary leaders with passion for its citizens. The president is supposed to preach and practice love but all we are seing are acts of vengeance,is this what LPM wants to leave as his legacy? There is so much hate amongst our leaders, Oh God help us,Mulongoti let us be progressive in our governance,Credible leaders dont respond to hearsays but your group has just shown the level of immaturity,Sata/Mususu have freedom of expression like any other person and they are entitled to their opinions like anybody else.Today you are advising FTJ to go to court to express his grievances why cant you and LPM take Sata to court so that the truth is heard about his allegations? You are a disgrace, you need to do alot interms leadership skills. The truth hates, let us live in a civilised world, your behaviour(MMD) is that of class monitor not leaders.Surely we need great change in Zambia and bring sanity to politics.Must politics go this way? a big NO

  5. GRZ is at it again-more childish, brainless sentiments..Mulongoti,what kind of corruption are u people fighting when u still have the likes of Katele Kalumba still in GRZ.Wasn’t he hiding in the bush naked, using super, mega Pentium 5(more like Duo) juju..Wasn’t that chap a minister in FTJs’ government? How many more such people are still in GRZ,and are not touched?U say Sata stole 2 billion, while did it have to take u this long to come out in the open and tell the nation?Man,we are no longer the stupid, ignorant Zed people u knew 25 yrs ago.We are educated, civilised and mature.Don’t bring us crap man.We tired.Just go lick LPMs’ boots(not booty),clean.U too,are corrupt.By the way, leave Bishop Mususu alone man.

  6. Sata….. here we go again? can the man just shut up and die peacefully like the rest of the plunderers?… MMD ministers! Sata was even endosed by chiluba another plunderer about to expire.. ! i hope they all perish in hell…! as they have brought untold misery to the zambian people.

  7. In leadership 101 they say : a leader can judge his pontential by the crowd he attracts! ….. guess what sata only attracts bakaponya… and the uneducated! fellow zambians seek your inner souls… or simply wake up do not listen to some unprincipled politicians who does not understand the true essence of leadership ( service and sacrifice). if you voted for sata …..think again!

  9. Sata is but an old dictator. He is PF and PF is Sata. He should just retire and give chance to others briliant younger Zambians, even PF like Given Lubinda, Chimumbwa etc to lead his Party.

  10. It is obvious Levy Mwanawasa benefited from corruption of FTJ? Why for instance is he refusing to discuss Katumbi cases in the public domain? Zambians wake up and smell the coffee?

  11. Sata attracts bakaponya because the majority of our citizens are actually in this class. Even the working class are in the kaponya class because they are failing to give themselves decent lifestyles.

One can tell that Zambians are poor because they mainly discuss Nshima and Ndiyo issues and if this remains the case SATA will continue to attract large crowds.

  12. Inquiry on SATA? Please bring it on. This Government has failed to nail him in a court of law, now they want to bring him in a court of public opinion to disparage his character. Judges in this inquiry will be appointed by LPM a long time enemy of SATA.

    Where is justice bane?

  13. If he has facts, this is good for Sata. He can give us detailed links between FTJ stolen funds and Levys 2001 election victory.Thanx Mulongoti, u r doing a good job.

  14. Zambians do not lose focus and get disillusioned by politician.Every one of them wants to benefit from the outcome of this dirty linen exposed and I do not blame them because if they do not, then they are just stupid but the focus should be to show that we can no longer be taken for a ride by anyone.Chiluba and his supporters are going to say something but they can not hide from the embarassment of exposed hypocricy. The only thing I can say is that this must be a lesson that we should learn and never again allow somebody to go on like we allowed him.I do not support levy but we can not exclude from the army against corruption.Come on zambia get them.

  15. Politis of Zambia are very confusing at times. We dont know whom to trust. If Mr. Mulongoti knows that Sata swindled National assemebly of K2Billion how come the task force and the anti corruotion have visited him?Whike it is true Mr. Mwanawasa is a beneficailly especially durring the 2002 elections. He campained using pblic resources that Chiluba was disshing out to him.I know Sata has point in his claims.

  16. Ba Sata,Chiluba is the man you said was not a thief or corrupt a few months ago.We have not forgotten how wanted him free and so he willingly supported you for plot one so that he may gain freedom. What has happened since then that now the thief is LPM,my suggestion is that you(Sata) wants to shift the attention form the fact that you want chiluba a thief free now that he has been found guilty in the courts of Law.This is probably they call you King Cobra because you shift sides in a twinkling of an eye.l am left to wonder what would have happened had you been elected to plot 1.As for Mulongoti learn to differentiate between chaff and real wood.Learning to read between lines will save your political career.Whether LPM benefited from the blunder is now immaterial as time to prosecute him will surely come.Remember Ba Sata “wheels always turn”.

  17. Well MUlongoti is again on it.If Sata has said Levy Benefited from Chiluba ‘s theft this may sound dodge to some people.Sata sometimes say honest things though I’M not his fan.Remember when MMD came into power and people like Aka and late Boldwin Nkumbula were exposed that they want to leave the government he informed the nation. What did we hear?He was called names but the truth was what he said.If Levy and his cronies are going to carry out an inquiry about Sata this will only make Zambia more divided than ever and people are aware that its a vendict against Sata as they are old enemies. Look at the people in ministerial and high government positions most based on tribal lines than ever. Kaunda used to balance.
Levy can trot around but when he leaves office the same will happen to him. Who ever uses a weapon will die from the same but this doesnot mean stopping fighting against corruption. The fight might not be selective. Mabenga and Katele are examples.

  19. Mulongoti dont be used to defend unpopular arguement.People are feedup with you politicians with lack of substance.Where is VJ? Threatening of other opposition leaders with an Inquiry is a clear sign that there is something fish about the story.Katumbi ‘s saga you have kept quiet your government has completely ignored the zambians demand to explain exactly what happened.Remember when you leave office this inquiry will come up.In a democratic society people are free to make opions. Bishop Mususu is doing his job he has been ordained for by educating mankind about the rights and wrongs we are facing.Bishop God bless and enrich with his everlasting blessings.Mulongoti your position is unturnable and not fit for purpose.Go to hell and hang yourself. Truth pains

  20. No offence intended to you bakaponya but in my opinion, Sata is a satanist. this man was specially sent to earth to destroy and it’s very sad that the devil sent him to our Zambia.

  21. My cry again, Zambia needs to invigorate itself by undergoing a leadership rebirth. The current crop of politicians have neither ability nor strategy to take Zambia to greater heights.

We have a click of washed up and meaningless characters masquarading as leaders when in the actual fact they are the true enemies of Zambia and its people.

Zambians have been reduced to “nothings” while these so called leaders are busy ploting the next move to plunder the remaining meagre resources.

Lets rise and say “enough is enough”. We’ve had it and we are tired of these heartless thugs.

  22. It`s sad to see how Zambian`s @ this continue to
condem levy after all he has done, does this every thing the man does is wrong wakeup fellow Zambian
let us give credit where it is due.Keep it up Levy

  23. Elijah, it appears you are very back wards, have you ever head of PAC parliamentary accounts committe? The glaring and frightening levels of financial abuse by Levy’s cohorts? Is this what gratitude must be made for Levy? You need to be admitted to a london clinic to bring back your sanity to say thank you to levy for what he has done? Its human nature to forget the good that one did when misfortune stikes, FTJ’s goodness has been forgotten cos of $46m,Tony BLair jas lost glory because of IRaq war, Clinton almost lost it because of Monica , endless list Elijah wake up and do your research properly before thanking Levy.He is the worst corrupt leader Africa has ever produced

  24. Ba Sata,

Just shut up! Now that Kafupi is going to jail tell us why you said he was clean before the elections?

I suggest you go back to Mpika mukulima.

  25. It will be interesting to see the composition on the SATA commision of inquiry. We need credible witnesses not the likes of VJ and Nakawala.

Why is the Govt so scared of Sata rallies in Shanties? Viva rallies, alluta continua bakaponya.

  26. Well, you can’t blame a cadre for not working his socks off when you consider his ascendency from humble beginings, personnel officer in ZCBC to Full Minister. At least he knows which side his bread is buttered. Even Saddam had “comical Ali” who entertained us so much in the early days of the war, telling us how the invaders were retreating, or how far they were, when sometimes they were right under his nose, rather behind his hinds!! Hats off to him, he is running his propaganda Titanic very well!!

  27. Charles, its not a question of going back mukulima, politics is not a clean game, that is why today you have Levy & CO sheilding Dr Miti who bought XMas from his bululu for K21m,so how do you justify corruption crusade like that?LPM is not an upright and principled leader,no one must be above the law,if you stole today ,charles they law will be fast onyou, but if Fisho Mwale stole $55m, the state will take care of him and this is what Bishop Mususu is desputing?Inconsitencies in the fight against corruption, what about FTJ , this is unquestionable selective pursuit to embarrass, ridicule and shame the former President?Abacha who stole billions of $,Obasanjo never reacted on impulse to recover the money, the family of abacha was offered amnesty and they dialogued on the recovery of these monies.FRA paid debts for Levy to put him in good standing, when he took up office he had £16,000 in his account, how much does he have today?Politics are being used for personal glory only not as service

  28. I agree with you Elijah..I think he is trying to do some good…the only problem is he is still surrounding himself with “has beens”…

  29. Mulongoti needs to know why Levison Mumba was fired…? What resources and where did they come from for Levy’s campaign in 2001? Love and Poverty do not mix, as can be observed from Mulongoti. The “i don’t care” attitude provided atleast i’m not in poverty. Just talk, who cares

  30. Dear All, I don’t know whether any of these fellows (e.g. Mulongoti et al) read these comments. If they do, I have a question: Mulongoti, et al, can you give us three priority actions and/or strategies you want to implement to improve things in your portfolio? or maybe Zambia? We are fed up of your personal vendettas… BTW people, No need to respond to me, if you are concerned let’s all work together to get these guys back to work. LIKE WE DID DURING THE CAMPAIGN AGAINST THIRD PARTY, REMEMBER ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!

  31. Moi, people arent bothered any more they have serious problems in their homes ranging from jobs, food, money ,dsieases etc and have lost hope of living in a country like Zambia. When is the second coming of Jesus? Zambia needs redemption.Civil society is dead and those that are alive are oppressed people like Mweemba,if all was well people would unite but there is gret division which LPM cant see with his damaged naked eye.Can some one lend him a magnifying glass to see how the people are suffering when people like Mlongoti want to waste money on enquiries? Let DEC,ACC do the investigations because they are paid for that,Mlongoti before you lapse into coma like VJ you need an admission at either morning side or london clinic just to bring sanity to yourself, very soon you will like VJ, engaging the mouth before the brain just to impress the paymaster

  32. The saddest thing for most of our politicians is that they have no agenda or terms of reference. They are devoid of planning and their manifestos are but rhetoric party cadre type of stuff that is unable to drive Zambia out the current quagmire. Our kind of leadership is one that tries to administer policies as matters unfold without a campus to follow. No wonder all we have are personal attacks and character assassination daily. No leader says, “We are going to have a dual carriageway from Sesheke to Livingstone, from Livingstone to Copperbet and to Zambezi; from Kapiri Mposhi to Nakonde and from Mongu to Chipata,” when I am elected into power. No leader talks of building new houses and a long term of elimination of those ugly shanties (except Sata)! Most townships we have were created before independence maybe only Lusaka can boast of new housing schemes but the shanties are an eyesore to many. We are tired of these politicians with no agenda. Please tell us about your plan to empower Zambians and protect them not just foreign companies. Tell us about job creation, town planning and removal of substandard construction, garbage removal, street lighting, water provision, health etc. Boot out those that do not perform please!

  33. Mulogoti,
how shamelessly you bring your stupid MMD manners in Government. Sata has got nothing to do with Chiluba. But levy has because he was brought into power through Chiluba’s corruption. Don’t be silly

  34. Mr x-man and kevin, you also sound like a SATAnists, how can you say that I don’t know what I’m talking? have you already forgoten that before the elections, satan, Oops, I mean Sata, enze bizi presiarizing GRZ 2 Drop the charges against Shoti? can a naturally great leader keep changing statements more than you can change your underpants in one day?

  35. the politics of Zambia also.VERY childish. What ever these so called politicians discuss wont bring any bread at anybody’s door step.lets concentrate on self reliance those that claim to be educated build companies and pay good salaries not just rushing to say “we are educated”.what have you done to prove to us the uneducated?you are just rushing into politics to make money which you have failed to after finishing your so called degrees.are these degrees for temparature or what?

  36. Ms Daka and the rest of you guys. Dont you think if the LPM had evidence connecting Sata to any plunder he would be in Jail. LPM hates Sata with a passion. I’m not saying Sata was never involved. The fact is there is absolutelly no evidence connecting Sata to any plunder. “I DECLARE SATA INOCENT UNTILL PROVED GUILTY” We all know that LPM got more than K200M to pay his FRA debt. Why has it taken LPM more than 7 years to explain where he got the money he used to pay for his FRA loan. upto now we dont know where he got the money, and this is the guy championing corruption and calling other people plunderes. as for Mulongoti he is just exited… give him time he will settle down.

  37. CK,i support your views on comment 37. All 3 govt’s from KK to LPM have just been putting blame on the west for the sufferings of the people. If the IMF and WB intervenes, they are accused of imposing rules on the country, and meanwhile these leaders have never come up with a single policy on how they will end poverty and sufferings of the people. Whatever policy is presented to them, they accept, and if they fail to implement it, the blame is on the IMF and WB.The campaigns are just about personal attacks and corruption. All road construction and maintenance are done by donors, where does the tax collected by the govt go to? SAGE, LPM has evidence against Sata, problem is Sata has evidence too against LPM

  38. Mulongoti, is an apetite, that is why our lovely country is going no where. To defend mwanawasa that he never benefited from the plunder of chiluba is pitiful. I am very sure that immediately mwanawasa leaves office we shall see alot of plunder maybe even worse than chiluba due to the large number of his relatives and friends he has placed in sensitize positions. Zambians let us wake up and never trust the governace of our beloved country in the hands of apetites.

  39. Sage, I thot I was the only one who noted the useless coments from Mme Daka and tell her to start thinking before making comments.

  40. The Man in post # 5 says:”Mulongoti, what kind of corruption are u people fighting when u still have the likes of Katele Kalumba still in GRZ”.

Tell me what Government position Dr. Katele Kalumba holds that some of us don’t know. Also on Mususu, i should be sincere to say he is my fellow paparazzi at worst who is stuck with self failure and excssive love of exposing his drivel passion for front pages. He has failed his church there in Chilenje and ever soliciting for donor funds for personal survival. Reverend Japhet Njobvu had a human cause than this embecile senselessly waffling even over straight forward things. Such runatics have kept ruining the mantle of the civil society. We need smart and objective people in the civil society. As for Sata, he has no place in the Zambia of tommorrow. His time is up. He plundered enough with Shortie even distributing the ZK 2 billion at the MMD convention. Using our funds as slush funds to mobilise thugs matcheting the anti 3rd term.

  41. Paparazzi “ulishulu”. Sata nichibomba milimo, walashani? You and Mme Daka seem to be at same wavelength. You should tame her by marrying her.

  42. My dear ba Joze, stop being vulgur. Just propound your view points. Your abrasive language just shows that you lack an inteligent mind to argue your points analytically. Some of us we not stop commenting just because of your Kaponya language.

  43. INTERESTING DEBATE INDEED!

GUYS CORRUPTION IS TERRIBLE TO SAY THE LEAST. IF WHAT THE LONDON COURT HAS PREDETERMINED IS TRUE, IT IS ACTUALLY EXPECTED. INFACT ALL THE THREE PRESIDENTS WE HAVE HAD INCLUDING THE COLONIAL GOVERNMENT HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN CORRUPT. UNLESS SOMEONE IS OUT THERE CAN CHALLENGE ME. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WITH CHILUBA IS THAT HE PROBABLY CROSSED THE LINE AT A TIME WE ALL WOKE UP IN TERMS OF DEMOCRACY, TRANSPARENCY,ACCOUNTABILITY, GOOD GOVERNANCE ETC. LIKE IT OR NOT KK ABUSED SOME STATE RESOURCES, LPM HAS CERTAINLY DONE SO INCLUDING PAYING HIS OWN RELATIVES IN EMBASSIES, GOVENRMENT PORTFOLIAS AND RIGHT AT STATE HOUSE. WE ALL HEAD OF HOW HE EMPLOYED HIS OWN BROTHER IN OP AT STATE HOUSE AS A BOSS WHO HAD BARELY NEITHER THE EXPERIENCE NOR BASIC QUALIFICATION FOR IT. THIS WAS PLUNDER IN MY VIEW BECAUSE INSTEAD OF STEALING TO GIVE HIS BROTHER HE WAS CLEVER, GAVE HIM THE JOB SO GOVT COULD ‘PAY HIM’. THIS IS TRUE FOR MANY OTHER CASES. JUST WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN 2011

  44. Chips, what happens in 2011 when facts are there that no thug shall reign? Have you forgotten the 27 rule principle in Zambian power politics? Mark it on your calender, MMD will reign supreme way beyond 2011.Sata with his hatred and tribal intrigues will never rule Zambia in his remaing 6 years. MMD will provide leadership to nurture our your Democracy and economic evolution once endangered by the Chiluba, Sata and Machungwa Luapulan mafias conspiracy thuggery.

  45. Mulongoti thinks he is trying to protect his newly given power but am afriad he will go before 2011.Pwer is sweet but it has a strong stench that it will choke the very one using it.

  46. Mulongoti, stop the nosense. We need developmental issues. Have you forgotten that Sata was already found not guilty by the parliament? Review it. Let the Bishop express his opinions. Expressing opinions parrallel to yours means enemity. For how long? Be serious. Zambia has to go forward. You are as good as VJ, Teta, and worse than Chiluba.

  47. Hi Guys… how many of us in this blog are from the US. I’m in Los Angeles California. This is very encouraging. dialogue is what we have lacked for a long time. Ms Daka thanks for holding your position on the smith judgement with the support of Bro Kayata. This pure democracy and hats off to the people behind Lusaka Times. For you folks in “Z” good night for you guys in the brother land “USA” let the games begin.

  48. Ba Joze, we know how FTJ moved you from Kulima Tower and Kamwala Bus stations, and made you D.A’s.
They say, “You can remove a Man from the Bush, but you can not remove the Bush from the Man.”
But with all the respect we have for you,you better too have respect for others too.We know how difficult it is to survive by those bus stations, but your hypercriticalness and judgments is abnormal and uncharacterisitc. We need you on this blog, and returning you to kulima or kamwala is tantamount to treason or jail.

  49. Iam so disappointed by some peoples naivity and just refusal to come to grip with the truth. There is no truth loving zambian who will jump to defending sata before he says anything in his defence.Personally I have alot of quesition that I would like to ask him.For instance does he agree or not that his former boss has prima face case that he needs to explain to the people of zambia?Where does he stand on all allegation that have been put on his former boss.Does he know something about allthe money that MMD used for campaign in 2001?This man should be made to testify under oath because he was the link between goverment and the rulling party. This is probably why the man seems not to know where he stands one day he is for chiluba another day he is not.The people funding him probably do not what chiluba but he needs chilubas support politically.those asking for sata to be president stop for one minute and reflect on third term period.

  50. Kafula, FTJ is a grown man who should answer for himself. And by the way we are not lawyers in this discussion so stop using words like prima face. We know you are educated but the purpose of this blog is to communicate. You cant blame Sata for Kafupi’s mischief.

  51. SAGE I do appreciate the fact that this blog is for people to speak out and have an opportunite to communicate.Sata attract this quesitions on himself because he served in chiluba adm at the highest level and common sense is that he must have been part and pacel of policy making body.He also aspires to be the president of the country.I think its just fair that he answers some questions for his name to be disassocitted from all the allergation aganist the adm that he served so fervently. This will also give us more imformation to make an imformed choice over who should be the next president.Alot of pipo could be made to answer quesitions but they are now private citizen. He actually will be removing a big cloud that over his head. But the truth is that he can not cut his ambilical cord from chiluba.

  52. F. Kafula,u are back with ya broken English. Are u still in form 2(Grade 9),to be making such grammatical errors?Umusebanya kwena!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People leave my Dear Daka alone. Are u hurt by her ability to analyse and evaluate issues intellectually?Gosh, the Lady is dancing on ya heads!

  53. Sage, dont worry about F Kafula,he is a form 3 from Malole boys and using words that he can not understand even hemself.

  54. Kayata, we know that we used to call you “mumbwa mumbwa” wearing “mbemuda” and now you want to shine on this blog as a from 3 from Naboye. You from 3s whats wrong with you? I mean Mme Daka, F Kafula and you Kayata. Which planet are you from? Oh 3, goes with 3 something. That good ideal Kayas and your two counterparts. Bye

  55. I totally agree with Sata. Because if it was not that money which chiluba used during the campaign in 2001 mwanawasa was not going to the president of this country. And above all mwanawasa had benefited from the purported stolen money and he should also stand trail. If you are in receipt of stolen item that means you are also guilty until proven innocent.

  56. Ba Joze…your comment 60…i do not argue with mentally ill people like you ,who are suffering from schizophrenia or whatever mental illness you have. You possess characteristics of a person obsessed with other people. Are you addicted? Which ever way again we send you, either DRC or Zimbabwe, we shall be committing a sin. We have blessed you with a wonderful Zambia and atleast you have a forum where you can express your views than in your Matebeleland or Katanga. So please use this blog carefully and we need your idea’s most than insults. FTJ left us with so many problems and *****s,including you boys from Kulima and Kamwala bus stations, but you are easy to sort, hence we want to focus more on the bigger one’s like the economy. I have always told you,it’s better to have a brain and have reached form 3 or whatever, than to have no brain at all like you.
By the way,….Where is your Doctor….?

  57. Its Scandalous Zambia all the time.I feel for my parents, brothers and sisters.Nothing is constructive their.Who would wish to bring back his child to settle in Zambia.I pray to God to redeem Zambia.

  58. Ba gk,here you go again, just jump into the lake, zambia is the best country to live in on the planet.Let your brothers, sisters and parents fight what is right for them in their mother country. For if the immigration issue doesnot yield anything you be put on the first flight to zambia.so dont pose big like where you are its heaven.

  59. Listern, this blog belongs to us all, wether kaponya, call boys, kulima tours boys or whatever you call us, we will use this blog and express our feelings. You Daka chap, be careful what you write about us, we deserve respect bwana. Zambia belongs to us all and the facilities which in Zambia are for us all, not just the so called degress holders. Lusaka Times thks for allowing even my brothers in arms, like Ba Jose to speak. Ba Jose bakamba marry this Daka chap, I think she liking a man in life. Doesnt she know that we hold degrees in our way and are doing fine, we dont beg from her or her likes. GOOD DAY.

  60. Boyi AM, bauzye. These FORM 3s who went to nation service they luck direction especially Kayata the one we used to call “mumbwe mumbwe”. Kayata stop behaving monga ulipa cloud 9 otherwise, oh, am mau-less. Mme Daka you stop wearing trounsers. Do you really know what I mean? Oh my heart, why are you on me? Are you on HxxxT? I cant marry u, you talk too much and mostly useless ones.

  61. Kuku,gk,AM and anonymouse you guys have become too personal. The purpose of this blog is to exchange ideas and views intellectually. Let us not loose focus on the big picture here guys. We may agree to disagree but lets not get too personal.

  62. hey guys slow down.let us attempt to exchange ideas at a high responsible intellectual level. true. nevertheless, please can we the people of zambia use our constituent power as government to stop this party cadreing in our system. people shd 2alk development and not vendettas. do not attempt to remove the speck in ur friends eye when u have a plank in urs.

enough of these money spinning enquires. lets get on with it and talk development and unfettered citizen participation and wealth creation for our ctry .

i see a pandoras box opening up in the next few weeks. and SOMEBODY please tell us sthing abt the katumbi saga.

anyway ba mudala ba chiluba bakakwata press conference mailo.maybe certain things will be revealed. kaile tit for tat.are we going to have an inquiry to establish how corruptly lpm came to power in 2001.kaile ni proceed of a high tech trans national crime that shd be repossessed. check out the parlemo convention.

  63. I would like to see MPs share their development plans for their constituents for the next five or ten years! Ministers should also unveil theirs, likewise. I am glad I heard about, was it the 5th National Development Plan? Last time I heard about them was during our former president KK. I would also love to hear of those stunted and never changing councils share their growth plans and city development in the next 10 to 25 years and how all of them would raise finances. The City of Kitwe was poorly planned (like many Zambian towns) and no one (it appears to me) can change the current status even the Simwingas of this world. No one thinks of taking down that eyesore of a structure called Chisokone. No one thinks of claiming land from the slimes dam between Mutondo offices and Parklands/Nkana East and build an extension of down town sky scrappers for the city. No one sees the potential of expanding the city to Mufuchani by erecting two bridges on Kafue extending Riverside! The housing scheme for Ndeke Village is an eyesore despite large virgin land available. The council could not even learn from nearby former ZCCM houses how they were constructed. They look neat and well spaced. Mulenga, Luangwa, Twatasha, Race Course, Zambia Compound, Kapoto townships all are pathetic townships that seem to suggest to me council administration needs to be revamped. These should be real issues for discussion by our leaders, then our Zambia will never be the same.

  64. Ba Joze….. your comment 67, would you please re-write it in English so everyone and especially me would understand. Before you changed your name, i told you to stop using vernacular. And you have not made any contribution on this blog. whats happening, Ba Joze? We need your ideas too, “fi chibuku fyala moneka” and next time your Doctor disappears without leaving your prescribed medicines, he is liable for criminal charges.

  65. Kayata, am totally different from Ba Joze,AM, and Sage who seem to come from Mars. My contributions are more analytical than these guys and I enjoying reading your contribution guys. Am also disappointed by Ba Joze comments. Please guys let us not make blog as parade for insults or uncall comments but free to agree or disagree and free to speak our mind.
M Daka, bring more ladies on this blog, I do enjoy your debate.

  66. King Cobra you better stay away from zambian politics because you behave like a chameleon. You are the same Sata who was celebrating when General Miyanda and other good and educated people were leaving MMD and you thought FJT will give you Plot 1.
FTJ master dribller gave LPM plot 1 and out of hatred you are attacking him.Leave LPM to finish is 5 years mandate.

  67. Ngaso mwaice mina amate first, tell me the opposition party that is making the MMD to work? Where are Nawaki, HH and the other leaders of family parties? Dont tell me that they will only come in action in 2011… we are not fools. Ngaso, minus Ba Sata, MMD ngayatupa sana, atleast PF, Oasis and the Post paper are working to put rule of law in order even if LPM is blocking it.

Mukamba Mudala Wakatenzi, you only hammered me what about these people who insulted me especially Mme Daka and Kayata? Next time try to be fair otherwise you being a judge you can make Bulaya walk freely.

  68. There are no two ways about it,FTJ Kafupi is a thief.Sata is one of the beneficiaries.Let’s not drag LPM in this coz he didn’t ask for it.He’s a Saviour for Zambia coz atleast we know who the plunderers are!he’s trying to put things straight again.FTJ refused to attend the hearing when Judge Smith came to zambia for three weeks!!!why the hell defend some unthankful little man?
Keep up LPM and Mulongoti ,you are doing your job.Ask Satana to tell us how they made LPM benefit form their plunder!Long Live Zambia.

  69. Ngaso please, halt the fire. Don’t despise the great leader Kind Cobra. All leaders who have been voted for by Zambians are actually able to offer something. This includes HH and LPM. Its not the Cobra to stay away, but the Zambians to say no to him through the ballot. Thats the essence of democracy. As long as Zambians want him he should stay in politics. After all he is a good opposition. As far as things stand now he is the only one who can hold a rally and people attend. Which undisputedly is a sign that people want to hear from him. Each time he says something those who hate him are say he is a lier, but they are ashamed when it turns out to be true. For example LPM sent one person to withdraw billions from an account, people thought he was lying but it was true. Most likely this money is from companies (probably mines) which he is defending when it comes to increasing royalt taxes to the good the country’s development. In my view it amounts to corruption.

  70. I think Sata is slowly getting mad.Your comments do not make any sense. How can a normal person support FTJ?Sata, you’re just tarnishing the already destroyed image of PF.Supporting “Kafupi” is like giving your right hand to devil!!FTJ is a great thief. It is him and you guys who destroyed Zambian economy. The $46 million FTJ&co stole could have done a lot of positive things, improve education, health, etc. Please Levy send this short man to jail and let him return 85% of $46mil.as Peter Smith demanded.Do not pity FTJ coz this devil had no mercy when he was a president.Sata stop associating LPM to FTJ thefts. Levy is a right man for Zambia as at now.
Levy, don’t spare stubborn PS like Dr.Miti who’re frustrating your fight against corruption.GO LEVY GO!!!

  71. “Go Levy go” to London clinic. Is that what you meant KM? Why is LPM mute up to now over the case of Ba former “Ntambalukuta”..because the case is coming slowing to him and soon he will be forced to resign. KM you must stop taking cold showers otherwise your brain will be in frozen state and think shallow. LMP has grabbed land which he calls TEKA farms and me one talks. That is bullying first class.

  72. Kabamba Kalande, who told you that you cant learn vital stuff from comedians? Imagine, you remove Ba Sata in politics, you Kabamba what wld you do to stubborn MMD? You cant even face Katele oh my heart, pleaes just give thanks and praise umufyashi Sata, chibombamilimo.

  73. Mudala Wakatenzi… it is nice to know that you make positive contributions as you have mentioned. This blog is meant to exchange ideas and of which we shall agree or disagree with each other. Imagine if we all died with our ideas in our heads, there would have been no telephone, internet or clothes. Not even cars or condoms. Therefore, innovation begins by exchange of ideas.
I’m also disappointed with Ba Joze,he reminds of the comedian who used to appear on radio icengelo in kitwe. I’m happy with M.Daka for her comments. We need more ladies too.

  74. Kayata, are still wearing “mbemudas” and green gum-boot? Mukamba Kayata, bushe ngana giva support umufyashi Sata nishi natula ingombe ilinso? You continue backing levy remain in darkness while we be making be progressing. you call me kaponya, I will call you “mumbwe mumbwe” Have you forgetten those days you used to walk in groups at inter-city station in mbemudas and waering women browsers?. Anyway, you cant change, you are used to provoke.

  75. Ba Joze…. you are a good comedian.Maybe we need you on this blog for your jokes, we’ve been too furious with LPM and his con men.Atleast you cool us down and make us laugh.

  76. Mudala.. have you just joined this blog? I like Kayata and Ms Daka because they dont get personal. We are human and there is also more than one site to a coin. If everybody agreed on everything in this blog it wouldnt be interesting. We will disagree but lets put our points across intellectually. Ba Jose you are free to write in Bemba,Tonga,Lozi or even Spanish its a free country. On Sata , he is not pefect but he is very usefull to the current political climate. HH wears an Armani suite while addressing Marketeers forget about that chap he cant connect with people FDD wont be there next time arround. The point is, Sata is the only one providing checks and balances on the political front. I know there is a lotof organizations doing the same.

  77. My Bro SAGE, i support Sata, but he made 1 mistake last time during his campaign and that was to support Mugabe. His previous performance from Governor til Minister without Portifolio has been wonderful. He has been the only politician to call for the grazing of all illegal and shanty township in Zambia. Therefore, i think his time is gone, but who knows what happens. The Senegalese President lost 7 times before he became President, though he was too old, Mandela was punished in jail for 27 years, but came out and became President.Sata has a vision and he is the only person who came bring some decent accommodation to the people of Zambia. He is realistical, but stingy too.He takes his money and buys shares in South Africa, and refusing the Zambian of having ownership through shares of companies.Inshort,he opposes private ownership.

  78. Mr Kayata.. Your have brought out interesting points but i would like to comment on the last one How Sata uses his personal money should be none of our business. Sata just like any other Zambia has a right to invest where he feels he will have a good return on his investment and also make sure that his investment is secure.Sata being a politician makes him a target. The Task force can wake up tomorrow and accuse him of money loundering and freeze his assets. This is Zambia. He has to diversify. Sata just like most of us support private ownership. Look at the suppliers for the mines. Zambians are used to the tender system where you make 1000% profit. Thats why these chaps can make a lot of money through supplying Air “Umwela” to the mines but when those deals are no more they cant survive in business. if you cant do business making 10 -20% profit you are not a business man you are a crook. So lets promote prudent private business ownership. And position ourselves to compete in the …

  79. Sage, am the old timer on this blogg,if you want, you can ask people like Dr Maswahu D who is now at Cambridge University, Kataya, and other guys. I just decided to take a break and enjoying reading your comments and so far I have given five “thumbs up” to M Daka for she maintains her stance in debating issues. And I dissapointed by some of you guys who just go strraight at each others throat. I will be back next month, and meanwhile guys contribute positively and Musa Joze, dont disappear next month. Bye Guys

  80. Hon SAGE… A ruling political leader must have confidence in his own country. Why should we allow politicians investing their money’s abroad instead of re-investing in the countries economies. The people who should be in the lead of local investments should be our politician’s. Why should these politician’s have foreign bank accounts in Swiss,Europe, London, etc? What impression does it give to local or foreign investors? I believe that there should be a limit to politican’s foreign investments? Where does that leave the local people. Hence we have seen our politicians going abroad for medical treatment instead of been treated locally. If they felt what UTH is like,UTH would become a good hospital, but they dont care. Look at Swiss and Europe, most of our leaders money is stuck in the accounts there, you know what difference it would make if that money was locally invested. Nigeria,DRC,Zimbabwe,Ivory Coast,Zambia etc money’s working elsewhere.

  81. Mr Kayata you live in UK. Most of us live outside the coutry and we invest both in Zambia and abroad. Times have changed you can not afford to put all your eggs in one busket. I believe Sata has more investment locally than oversees.
On the question of seeking outside treatment. that is a million dollar question. With all my heart i dont support politicians going to London or J’burg for treatment. but if they opt to do that let them user their personal funds for that. Another question is fonfidentiality to the medical records. If LPM went for medical review at UTH and he is tested for HIV and the results are positive. Trust me the whole world would know in 5 minutes. This is not an easy question. I would rather they spend money on improving the quality of our medical facilities. When the president goes outside the country for a medical check up. he is publicly declaring that the medical facilities in the coutry are below standard. The sad part is he is doing nothing to improve UTH

  82. SAGE aka Francis you are absolutely right. That is why Miti is being shielded about his extravagance because more people have benefited from medical assistance abroad. Its just foolish and greedy to assume your life is more important than Ba Joze or Mudala wakatenzi. We luck a voice in Zambia, even where Kayata is the Ministers including Tony Blair just go to their own hospitals, the pace maker Tony has was just done locally, so why send ‘those’ to london and RSA.We actualy need to do some cost benefit analysis, how many people have come back in good health from morning side after spending so much? just Caskets, its shameful and stupid to continue to ignore developing your own medical system. No wonder our life expectancy is 37 compared to where you guys are.
SAGE come back and contribute to the management of Zambia

  83. My Bro SAGE, i agree with you that times have changed. My Bro, Home is Home, North East West South, Home the Best, but our leaders dont have faith in their own territories. An MP in England sent her child to a private school and there was public outcry. Why should she said her child to a private school when she is a minister who is supposed to improve services in govt schools. In UK, the leaders are supposed to be in the forefront and be examples. On Sata’s investments, he declared a gun and small investments locally and most of them were abroad. LPM declared some money in a London Lloyds Bank and a farm, etc. All who declared their assets to the Chief Justice had more investments abroad than locally. HH,Ngande,Kavindele, late Mazoka,Sikota Wina,FTJ etc have billion kwacha investments abroad. So, if what they do with their personal money is their business, there would have been no declaration of assets to the Chief Justice. Isn’t it?

  84. I’m sure you know that Sata owns a lot of property in Zambia. But they are not registerd in his name. By law you are required to declare your assets. Why i dont know. I think its a formality. Uk is one country that has really messed up Zambia. All they tought as was lazyness. Kaunda also brings the nonsense of humanism. We should have been taought from the get go that “Ni washala washala waya waya” Capitalism. All being said and done Kafupi won the minds and hearts of Zambian people. I remember in 1991 i was just a student , people where ready to die a little for Zambia. The sad news is no president will ever be trusted by the people. But FTJ ali ni kaponya surelly what do you expect from a cow boy. I think to some point LPM and those people who where old enough to see that a cow boy cant run a country but they let FTJ to be president should also share the blame for FTJ many mistakes.

  85. My Bro SAGE, that for sure i know, i believe too he has shares in Farmers House, but you have mentioned that they are not in his name, therefore they are not his, legally speaking. Atleast we share the same viewpoint of Capitalism, and that people in Zambia are lazy, hence we are still facing a high number of unemployment. We lack innovation and competition among ourselves in business and believe the govt is there to provide everything for us. Last time, some ZACCI official was complaining that Zambian goods were failing to make it in DRC….! Look everyone was scared of KK, from Arthur Wina,Kasonde to LPM etc and they put FTJ forwards as sacrificial lamb, and they wanted him out in the first few years after he was President, but he wouldnt let them use him like that….

  86. Apart from our sweet babe, daka, bonse tamwakwata amano.U are busy attcking eachother emotionally and senselessly. This forum is for intellectuals, people with a potential to analyse issues, not like be zeze or kaponyas u are trying to be like.Grow up,and think like sweet babe Daka.People benefit from your comments,if they are sensible and intellectual..Think about it guyz.As for sweet babe Daka,my sweet babe, continue with that spirit.I really envy u coz u have just proved to me(and the rest of the world that I represent, including all men),that u can really evaluate issues intelligently. We need more women like u..dear.

  87. Am sorry guys, but I have to do this.I know this forum is like HH has put it,but right now I just have to cross the boundary…………….Daka,I think am in love with you.I really like intelligent women. They drive me crazy and turn me on a lot.Are you single?Am a single guy, well built, coz I do weight lifting,go to the gym thrice a week, play tennis on saturday and Sunday afternoons.I work and I need you..If you are based in Lusaka, lets meet over the weekend.Okay, can we have a date over the weekend?
Pls,guys.don’t critise me on this way.You never know what life has in stock for you.Maybe The Girl Is Mine. This is also intellectual I suppose………..

  88. The Future… You said you like Ms Daka because she is intelligent. Why are you presenting yourself to her as a body builder? I’m sure she likes smart men. why dont you show her some smarts. Girls of today dont only go guys who go to the gymn and play tennis. they want smart (intelligent) guys.

  89. The Future…? or did you mis spell.. “The Futile?” I think most likely the latter!
Now HH, for all your intellectual abilities, you seem to have outdone yourself making a point about your sex!

As for Sata & Mulongoti, I think it is much a game of dare more than anything else. Sata most likely has alot to tell us, but much as he likes dangling carrots, he certainly knows that somewhere, skeletons will start falling out of his cupboards too, hence Mulongoti’s daring him.We still haven’t heard our leading lawyers’ commenting on Smith’s judgement and imlications leading there on. Becoz interpolating the judgement, Funds that were used from Min of Health to bolster LPM’s campaign were Misused/Abused. LPM’s happily moving to use this resource and benefitting puts him in direct collusion with the perpetrators, just as, the London Law firms are implicated in FTJ’s case.

Well, lets give our Law friends time to digest the case, & wait for the 14 days to elapse to see what
    happens next.

  90. Zimbabwe has been named to chair a major UN Body. The could be some reason to why PF leader was pro-Zim.

  91. you are definetly fuzzy! R U sure U R on the right blog?? Or R U a shootin star fizzling out and just happened to land on this blog space?

  92. Satana now wants to comeout clean after plundering with FTJ.I now believe what the little man Chiluba said about you,you are never serious!!what a shame ugly cobra!spit your vernom on FTJ now and see how he will finish you up.

  93. Sage u know that Physics says opposites attract. So am pretty sure Daka is right for me.I go to the gym and got a very sexy body, which Daka appreciate and won’t resist in any way…..Daka,pls,give me a chance!!!!!!!
