  1. That sounds so impressive.Sounds pretty cool.God Bless.Prayers are 24 hrs on and on.We shall still do prayers even in the time the Heads of state will be fully well

  2. SADC Diplomats Unite in Praying for Mwanawasa

SOME Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) member states’ diplomats accredited to Zambia yesterday pledged to ensure that their countries joined in praying for President Mwanawasa’s quick recovery.Meanwhile, Vice President Rupiah Banda has appealed to Zambians countrywide to continue praying for the president’s quick recovery.he SADC diplomats announced in Ndola yesterday that they would officially communicate with their governments to ask citizens in their respective countries to join their Zambian counterparts in praying for Dr Mwanawasa’s recovery.

  3. What restiful weekend in the intensive care unit. RB be serious with your staement. You are not talking to children but the nation with elders and experts.

  4. #2,i don’t see anything impressive about this isolated information. We the pipo of zed are being by Banda so called mulongoti.it’s time to tell the truth.

  5. A diplomats’ delegation led by Botswana’s High Commissioner to Zambia, Tuelonyana Oliphant, yesterday paid a courtesy call on Copperbelt Minister Mwansa Mbulakulima in Ndola. The diplomats stated that the entire SADC region was saddened by Dr Mwanawasa’s sickness.”We are concerned about the continued sickness of President Mwanawasa who is also the SADC chairman. We share a lot of things in common.”We are amazed with the manner in which the church, different political parties and the media have been objectively handling issues surrounding the Zambian president’s sickness,” Ms Oliphant said.

  6. And South Africa’s High Commissioner to Zambia, Moses Chikane thanked the people of Zambia for accepting President Thabo Mbeki’s apology over the statement he made that President Mwanawasa had died in Paris.Mr Chikane commended the Zambian media for exhibiting high level of professionalism in the manner it was reporting President Mwanawasa’s sickness.Other diplomats present were Tanzanian High Commissioner to Zambia Justa Nyange, her Namibian counterpart, Salomon Wiitibool and Angolan Embassy Counsellor Pedro Kissoka.

  7. And Mr Mbulakulima thanked the SADC member states for partnering with Zambia in her quest for development and the creation of a sustainable regional integration.Mr Mbulakulima, who was flanked by Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Jennifer Musonda, said African countries needed to work together through the South-to-South cooperation and maximising their capacity for potential development.”Colonial heritage brought about fragmentation of the African continent and its rich resources. By being surrounded by eight countries Zambia no longer feels disadvantaged for being landlocked,” he said.

  8. The five diplomats were representing their colleagues from the 14 member-SADC regional grouping and held a meeting with the minister at Cabinet office in Ndola. The vice president yesterday ended his two-day working visit to the Copperbelt with a call on Zambians to continue praying for the president’s quick recovery.Mr Banda, who shared a light moment with jubilant MMD cadres at Ndola International Airport before his departure for Lusaka, thanked Zambians for being united in praying for Dr Mwanawasa’s quick recovery.

  9. It gives such a relief that the President is alive. During this time, we need to come together as a country an unite in preyer for the full recovery of LPM. Creating rumours and witch hunting with other leaders of the region is not the right thing to do. I urge the leaders of this country to exercise caution as they handle matters relating to Zimbabwe and SA. God bless Zambia.

  10. Mr Banda on Saturday officially opened the 2008 Zambia International Trade Fair (ZITF), representing President Mwanawasa who is receiving treatment in Paris, France.Mr Banda was seen off at Ndola International Airport by ZITF Chairman Phesto Musonda, senior government and MMD officials, who included, Finance and National Planning Minister, Ng’andu Magande his Commerce, Trade and Industry counterpart Felix Mutati and Mr Mbulakulima.Others were Ndola Mayor Anthony Katongo and MMD provincial chairman Joseph Chilambwe and district chairman Kephas Katongo.

  11. The vice president said it was important that Zambians continued to pray for the president so that he could heal. And Senior Chief Shakumbila of the Sala people in Mumbwa wished the president well.”We know that illnesses are unexpected, but this particular one has come at a very wrong time, when there are a lot of pertinent issues which require his attention, especially the post election impasse in Zimbabwe,” Chief Shakumbila said.

  12. The English used is so clear however people still start the usual negativity,on which planet are some Zambians on eh!

The President is in a semi coma,he had a restful weekend meaning he didn’t need any emergency attention as he continues to be stable but will need a small operation to improve his breathing so at the moment he is being aided by a ventillator.Stable means little or no improvement.

The priority is the President’s health not the flippin’ presidency you chaps have been on about since the President’s stroke. No genuinely concerned Zambian gives a toss about the presidency,it’s about someone’s life here,he’s human and has a family,a bigger family as he is President!

  13. # 5,
You an expert at what? Death rumor mongering you call that professional? Evidently you want the acting President His Honor RB to announce the death you have been panting for in wishes against the head of state. It doesn’t work like that in the world of decency.Mature up all you shoulder it yourself.Who told you that there is no life out of the ICU tobe that passionate for sad news only?????

  14. Well,at least he is speaking for himself. How long is Banda going to continue lying to the zambian people.

  15. sad people seem not to put themselves in this position where they themselves will be in ICU some day, lets be patriotic in our opionions and views, we will one day sure all die in some way, but we expect to he handled humenly

  16. Why do some people keep saying Banda & Mulongoti are lying,do you expect them to speak from their backsides 4 you to believe them.Have you ever seen a person in a coma being woken up briefly just to make a speech or appear in a film or have a photoshoot just to prove that they are still alive,do you understand what coma is or it’s pure arrogance.I have never seen such daft behaviour in my life,it feels almost a shame to be related with Zambia but am still proud of it,i believe Kaunda taught us humanism, that’s what some of you chaps need to be taught or are we dealing with teenagers who dropped out of school, you mean you cannot read that the President is in a coma & only patience is needed!

  17. Now it seems the vice president is coming near to the truth but it should not worry him to say that the president is on life suport machines because whatever that happens to him is Gods will for in life there is living and dying but between the two states of the fate of man,i wish life for the president for every one of us fills in a space no one can fill.May peace be with him in the name of our lord Jesus Christ.God is might because in this incident He reviews to us and questions us whether we as a nation are ready in tme of such calamities. It is time to put the house in order if not.

  18. We really need to pray for LPM. i doubt if he will continue as a president. What operation do they want to perform to aid with his breathing? It must be a tacheostomy. That is not an encouraging news. he must be in some form of coma. This reminds me of the behaviour of MMD of not having a vice president. Am sure the party is in trouble right now, RB has no post in MMD. What can he say about the ruling party.

  19. Impressive news. I hope all will be well in the minor operation and the subsequent treatment.

Let us increase the number of prayers for our President LPM.

  20. Only those who dont have faith can lost hope and commend someone to death before he takes his believe. I have seen miracles happen. The will of God is strong than anything else, he gives and take away.

  21. Indeed, Zeddy, tell ’em keyboard junkies, bent on wishing Levy dead. You’re so fresh. You and that Pragmatist fella are true sons of Zed, citizens to speak well of, not these chaps claiming to be ‘smarter than thou’, saying people are living in denial, as if it’s their jobs to communicate about the president’s health to the nation. The don’t want the strategists employed to navigate the nation out of this crisis do their jobs. They’d rather add on to the problem by raising unnecessary alarm.

  22. Why is the international media quite about the illness of Our President? Why France Government officials have not visited the president? Let’s pray for our president.

  23. CONSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARS

For how long can RB act as republican president? What`s the maximum time frame the constitution can allow someone who isn`t elected (nominee) into office to lead our nation?

  24. Beloved President we say hang on in there, do not worry about mad people like Mbeki who just announce such bad wishes in public you need your strength to come and face this man who has no manners for human beings, look at what has done to Zimbabwe, we need you back in no time GET WELL SOON
    UK

  25. It is so sad to read these comments that are really conflicting. Its sad that LPM is in coma and speaking from a medical background it is not good news. LPM is not going to be able to be president if he is having a tracheostomy it means he wont be able to talk for a long time coz his vocal cords are closed. Its high time the constitiution was looked at and we moved forward to elect a new president. All the best to his family but zambia has to move on and stop dwelling in the past.

  26. Can levy open his eyes, talk, recognize people, stand or sit. It doesnt mattr whether the news come from maureen, Sarkozy or da clinic. We want to know because he is our president whether on wheel chair or not.

What the heck is going on!! The country now is on autopilot as RB cant make any decision. He is just a cow and it looks like he has to calculate aaand consult extensively before issueing any statement. Crisis situation!! We shallcontinue praying for the future!

  27. we thank God that our mother Zambia is a christian Nation.L.P.M wishing u a speedy recovery we need u .madam frist Lady be strong we all things are Tough for u,in God everything is possible.GOD BLESS

  28. #27 you sounded intellectual like me. It is true lets use our knowledge well. Why Sky, BBC, CNN and other international media are so quiet about the sickness of our President? Could please RB or Mulongoti justify this.
If our President is still alive that is good.
If he had a restiful weekend it means he is promising, therefore you Rupiah and your officials organise to bring Levy on TV talking so that you prove to Zambians that he is alive.
We love him and we want him.

  29. Mimi my sister sure “Theka farm or to Leopards hill whatever the case might be…” One thing is for sure LPM dead or alive will never be president of Zambia again. So country men and woman lets focus on the way forward and start puttin new leadership in place. LPM did his part. Its a pitty his life ended like this but we have to move on. If hear RB say LPM had a restfull weekend again i’m gonna puke…. We are too smart to be spined by RB. YOU CAN NOT HAVE A RESTFULL WEEKEND WHEN YOU ARE IN A COMA.

  30. This is on the bbc website:

“President Levy Mwanawasa, 59, is in intensive care at a hospital in Paris after suffering a stroke at an African Union summit in Egypt last weekend.”

So the world media is not quiet as such only that continued illness is not news as such. It will be news when he is discharged or something else happens. Not many news agencies covered Tony Blairs heart by-pass operartion a few years ago when it happened. The illness of Pope John Paul was not daily news until he passed away. The country is running with an acting president and not in tumoil so why are some people in a hurry for him to be replaced? The chief justice is custodian of constitution if need be.

  31. Chief Justice please envoke this clause in article 39…

For the purpose of sub clause (2), a certificate of the Chief Justice that (a) the President is incapable by reason of physical or mental infirmity of discharging the functions of his office and that the infirmity is of such a nature that the President is unable to authorize another person under this Article to perform those functions; or (b) the Vice-President is by reason of physical or mental infirmity unable to discharge the functions of his office: shall be conclusive and shall not be questioned in any court: Provided that any such
certificate as is referred to in paragraph (a)

  32. (a) shall cease to have effect if the President
notifies any person under clause (3) that he is about to resume the functions of the
office of the President or if another person is elected as, and assumes the office of,
    President.

  33. May the Good Lord heal our President as we pupt our faith together as Country. Our God we pray for quick recovery to our president, may you raise him from the bed.

  34. Mr Chiluba rely handed over power to an acting president officially when ever he left the country. Mr. Mwanawasa has at times handed over the instruments of power to an acting president and at one time a Cabinet Minister ( Chituwo if not mistaken) . Does any one know if the instruments of power were handed over to the vice president ? or Is the vice president acting unofficially which has been common? . Handing over power will entail that the acting president can fire and hire Ministers, ambassadors e.t.c and declare war. Or Are we about to have a constitutional crises if some ministers start misbehaving with out any authority to fire them if the President takes time to recover.

  35. I Agree with #27, Dr. Mwanawasa is SADC chairman? Why SADC presidents so quite, they can not even send messages of quick recovery to our president? Maybe they know something!!!

  36. Guys please stop your bad comments towards our president, what kind of Zambians are u? let just pray for healing not other things!!!!! pliz try to reason twice before you touch your keybord. Have ever lost one of your beloved ones???? I think not!!!

  37. The point is that people of Zambia should learn to have compassion and not to rejoice when one family is going through a rough time. Lets have mercy for one other. The bible says love does not rejoice in evil, in other words you can’t be happy when somebody badly needs healing. President Mwanawasa is a family man just like most of us. Please gentlemen lets exercise restriant even in the language we use on the President, the man deserves privacy.

God help you if you are rejoicing because your uncle or auntie was involved in corruption and are in court.

  38. How much money have they spent in paris, how much have they spent on taking chiluba to court and never convict him. This is un zambian. He has had his chance.i wish him a quick recovery but i think a fresh president is best for our country.(i don’t mean Sata).

  39. Pray for Zambia…that people like Sata do not see this as an opportunity to jump in
and bring confusion. LPM has done well for Zed, things are getting stable the image of zed
in the Outside world is being repaired. As for his health all we need is to pray for a
miracle that he is fully recovered and that soon.Otherwise we quickly need to sort out
the leadership vacuum.I hope its not another Ariel Sharon(he is still alive on a life machine)
    or Yassir Arafat situation.

  40. Zimba what you are seeing in Zambia is classic leadership crisis. That is what happens when you a president surrounds himself with people like RB. When are we going to stope waking up people from they Villages to come and become president…

  41. I wish our president well especially his wife and children…but the presidency is not a personal to order. Its unclear if or when the president will recover(even when/if he recovers,he himself being a level-headed person will want to stay away from the stresses of politics and so would excuse himself from continuing as Pres on account of his health) and in such cases i guess there is a provision for that.So stop the uncertainity Mr VP and act or anyone with the balls to do anything about the situ .Otherwise uncertainity will mess things up and the Mugabe sympathesizers will see a window and plunge beloved Z downwards

  42. I agree with UK in full as I am from a medical background as well. Nothing so far sounds any good. One doesnt need to be in a coma for a long time. Simply put coma is a state of brain inactivity. A person in coma does not respond to stimuli. Its difficult to pronounce a prognosis as at its worst the patient may progess into a vegetative state like Ariel Sharon (former Israel Prime minister). We also dont know the degree of the infarct suffered by LPM. An infarct is simply dead brain tissue.
Rupia Banda said a miracle will happen and he will come back. Frankly, I believe less in miracles what LPM needs is a distinguished team of Neurosurgeons, Neurologists and Neuroradilogist

  43. People,
what about my and your relatives that still go to UTH? Why isnt he admitted at Maine soko?OOH i forgot the zed hospital are not good that is why our presidado is abroad seeking medical treatment with his 6 body guards, wife, children, ‘relatves’ and its our tax money paying their shopping, hotel, food, site seeing kaili kulibe visiting hour yachabechabe

  44. i can’t belive that some zambian can still continue to disbelive the Govt when it is so clear that LPM is alive,if it were in the days of moses such people would have been swallowed by the earth by now.

  45. Mr. Mwanawasa has at times handed over the instruments of power to an acting president and at one time a Cabinet Minister ( Chituwo if not mistaken) and sometimes not.

  46. Nobasankwa. Too bad 4 our president.these pipo surely how can they operate someone 2 increase his breathing rate??? Is levy going to pool thru really?? May God heel levy. Sorry guys 4 levy to end like this. God knows levy’s next place.

  47. Why France 24 and Al jaeera reported that’He was being treated at Percy-Clamart military hospital outside Paris after suffering a stroke while attending an African Union summit in Egypt’. If u read carefully, they have used a past tense ( HE WAS ) Not he is

  48. Simply put we are done. I urge Zambian to visit a local Intensive Care Unit and pick a patient at random and assess their prognosis. RB’s statements of the president is stable amount only to insults to Zambians because we dont know the level at which he has stabilized. He is however admitting that he is not improving. Again, if LPM didnt need an operation the first day he went into hospital having one today should be a big source of worry. Beloved country men lets start looking at the constitution and see what it has for us. LPM is not coming back to be president lets face it unless the government is not telling us everything.

I would love RB clarify on the word stable.

  49. We mfumu cibinda wa myeo yesu lolekesha pa mwana obe Levy. Niwe mwine bumi kanabesa twakulomba mwinshina lya mfumu yesu Yesu Xistu muposhe tata!

  50. The constitution in articles 34 to 36 does not allow the acting president this time the VP to make any appointments, or dissolve parliament, declare war etc. He just chairs cabinet and can not make major decisions unless by request of the cabinet. It is by law also that whenever the president is away from zed even for a few hour he has to deligate to the vp to act unless the vp is also away or unwell then he can ask anyother cabinet minister. The vp is acting legally for as long as the president is away. There is no time limit until the cabinet asks the chief justice to investigate in the case of illness. It is important for every citizen to know their constitution. I can avail it to anyone.

  51. Umu Zedi, believing isnt enough here and it would be sad if as a nation we paid blind loyalty. However, what we are saying is that from what we have been told so far by the government there is nothing tangile to convince a single Zambian, including yourself, that levy is improving and from the medical point of view a stroke, coma, tracheostomy, ICU doesnt sound like a good combination. ICU means intensive care unit and usually with loads of machines to sustain life.

Dead or alive its doubtful that levy will come back to be president. The govt is not telling us the whole truth. Would you be happy if your father were in hospital and you are just told that he is stable? will you?

  52. We should be prepared to have an election in case this guy should be impeached on grounds of infirmity. His health was questionaable right from the beginning and this even puts a strain on it..I am not trying to be mean, I am trying to have us plan or have a contingency option ( the “what if” or “just in case”).We africans are very poor at planning…we wait for disaster to hit us.The sad thing is that there is a leadership vacuum in our country.

  53. Disgusted spectator, are you saying that we are at the mercy of carbinet to decide when to ask the Chief Justice to look into the health of the president? Could you please expand on articles 34 ans 36.

  54. #59 DISGUSTED SPECTATOR
You seem to be knowledgeable about our constitution.I would like to find out from you whether the nomited VP Rupiah Banda can legally act as president until 2011?

  55. Tracheostomies are done for patients(pts) whom you anticipate are going to require longterm ventilation, & not just becoz the vocal cords are closed or obstructed. The reason he needs one, is as above & also most likely to protect his airway, becoz usually after a stroke, especially an extensive one, pts lose their “Airway Protective reflexes”, so can’t cough & avoid food/fluids going the wrong direction. Tracheostomies also aid in getting a pt off a ventilator but over a prolonged period of time. If needed for protecting airway, one may then have it for life, & needs to intermittently occlude it to allow speaking( The sort of thing the late superman actor had after he broke his neck).

  56. We are at the mercy of the Cabinet. They have to request the chief justice for the investigation or parliament has to compel the cabinet to do so or may be the CJ has to insist it does not say. Any one who wishes can post their email address and I can avail the constitution.

  57. That’s at least some good news to hear. Whether he survives or not, he won’t still lead a normal life and be able to discharge the Presidential duties. LPM is indeed in a critical condition and ever since he got to France, he has undergone 4 major operations to remove clouts in the chest and head.
The time he was being operated on in the head to remove a clout in the head after the Doctors had successfully removed some in the chest, he had to be given some tranquilizer to make him sleep for an hour which was done but unfortunately after the head operation was done, LPM did not wake up as expected he would wake up after 1 hour. 2 hours passed, still he could not wake up. This prompted the Doc

  58. Doctors to use a resuscitator to make him wake up, this did not work too. The doctors had to inform the relatives and his entourage that this had transpired as they had lost hope of him resuscitating .In short he was clinically dead. This was a funeral situation to the people waiting for the operation to finish. It is at this time that the BBC, CNN and Sky TV picked up the sad news of his death. When the Doctors tried the second resuscitating machine after, that’s when LPM responded very poorly. The Doctors actually named him a “miracle man”. We have relatives who are in the Presidential entourage as source of this information and not the information which the VIP is economically releasing!!

  59. The point is that we wish him well but his chances of surviving and getting back to normal life as well as Presidential duties are 2/10. This means that the Govt have to start the process of leadership succession in the MMD and Country as a whole if we are to avoid a leadership vacuum.

  60. It is unfortunate that Michael Sata is looking at LPM’s misfortune as away as an opportunity for him to get to plot one. Last Friday he featured on Sky Radio FM in Monze on there morning show 2 hour interview, he as well appeared at play house yesterday on the Face the media Post newspaper programme, its easy to see from these2 shows that he is happy inside about LPM’s illness and positioning himself for Plot 1. The fact on the ground is that people have blacklisted him from the Presidential race on many grounds such as health (as he was also in a COMA for heart attack a while ago and his health is not so stable) and also on age and his lack of ability to stand to the tenets of the 21st cen

  61. century leadership requirements. This man is a joker and if most people have been following, his language is becoming childish and childish by the day I think it’s attributed to his old age and his recent deteriorating healthy. The older people gets, the more childish they act. Country men and women, this is Sata’s new style of politics he has been preaching about.

  62. i agree with #60.RB is putting this very simple.A minor operation to help him breath means he is not breathing as he is supposed to.I believe when someone is not breathing well he is not stable.Get well soon ba levy.Hope when he is discharged he will be adviced accordingly by his advisor on his health. He was pushed too far they should have advised him after his first stroke.

  63. Ba # 71, Sata is not the type of President Zambia needs. Honestly, what quality does Sata posses to take Zambia forward and continue with the good works of MMD and LPM? It’s not a secret that he has fallen out of favour with most Zambians because of his inconsistency in Politics. Its unfortunate some people are looking for retirement in Politics, politics should not be a source of a job and privilege but politics should instead be viewed as service to the people you serve.

  64. # 66 According to our constitution the president can appoint any member of cabinet to act as president regardless of the presence of the VP. Officially the Presidents hands over the instruments of power to the acting president which will entail the acting president assuming all the powers of the president. This has not been common in Zambia, Its always gazzeted when ever the president hands over power especially if the president takes a long trip away. The VP or the Minister acting shall be refereed to as Acting President. Currently the Mr Banda is still being refereed to as VP. Dr Chituwo and Mr. Nevers Mumba once acted officially as A/P.

  65. HH stands a better chance than Sata if we had to go for early elections. Sata has lost grip in his Party hence his intention to reconcile with the rebel MP’s whom he calls “FAKE MP’s”. This recycled matter (Sata) has indeed killed our Party and if we are to be clever as a Party, we must remove this old man and put a more formidable person to counter UPND and HH, other than that, we are headed for doom.

  66. I hope our party leadership in MMD has started looking for a replacement of our president because we need to give the president enough rest. Wishing the President a quick recovery. The MMD leadership should be very careful with Michael Sata, he is trying to use the reconciliation with Mwanawasa to get to state house. This can be deduced from his recent statements he has been making in the media trying to position himself for national presidency when most people are still gripped with outcome of Mwanawasa’s health condition.

  67. After this foreign media saga about LPM, whether he’s dead or alive…the way the trusted media handled it is absolutely pathetic. I now find it had to believe what they’ve been reporting about Mugabe.

  68. Decotex, there is no such thing as a resuscitator to wake someone up. After a bleed in the brain plus following surgery to remove the clot, the brain is usually swollen, which prevents it normal function, hence pts don’t immediately wake up, they need to be sedated & ventilated for a few days to allow swelling to come down before reassessing them after switching off the sedation, whose effect may take a while before clearing from the blood. As of now, he seems to require a tracheostomy becoz of anticipated prolonged ventilation.

  69. BA SATA HAS AMANO YABUKAPONYA. ZAMBIA SHOULD LOOK FOR SOMEBODY ELSE TO LEAD THE COUNTRY. SATA NIKABOLALA NO MUTIMA WABULOSHI PAMUSHI, HE IS JUST LIKE CHILUBA. HE IS NOT A PERSON WHO CAN LEAD THE COUNTRY.BENA ZAMBIA, LETS BE VERY CAREFUL WITH SATA. DO YOU AGREE WITH ME.

  70. a minor operation to improve his breathing??? ubufi… just tell the people the truth that he has a tube down his throat connected to a respirator because our beloved prezo can’t breath on his own.

  71. Iam wishing the president a quick recovery and i appeal to all zambians to stop writting nonsense about the illness of the president.May the good Lord bless him.

  72. #67,68,69 Decotex and #78 bauze, you guys make the most sense even if you differ in explaining the technicalities. It would seem that Decotex you have very reliable source of information and bauze understands better the techncalities associated with the medical condition. I believe this is similar to the condition incapacitated the Israeli P.M. who still is in a coma. Hope you guys can keep us abreast better than the govt has so far even as we wish the best for LPM.

  73. Beauty ukusabaila! Why start attacking Sata who has not said anything? Please stop this hatred and concentrate on prayers. Zambia and the President need God’s touch and stop debating ifs and don’ts which are all but speculations.

  74. Not too sure whether it’s for the better that he is alive but in a comma that will perpetually incapacitate him? I’m Struggling with the idea of him being worse of a vegeatble than he has been since the accident?

  75. 79 u are bad news mwaice wilatuka abkalamba. Wiso nangu cipuba cipuba cobe no wonder u younger ones are becoming mad

  76. #83 EINSTEIN and a few others on this blog are the only ones making sense.Having worked in ITU England( or ICU) myself I am finding it hard to understand how some people are trying to analyse the situation from a non medical point of view .Maybe it is their lack of understanding of what is really going on.He has been on ventilation for a week and we do not know what sort of ventilatory support he had or is still having.Next they are talking of a tracheostomy after which they will assess whether he is making his own effort to breath or not.His own physicians might not have any experience in Critical care judging from the way the news is being disseminated.

  77. when u dont agree # 85 provide reasons, give data. are u one of these guys who do not know or who cant remember Sata’s conduct both in UNIP and MMD? how he victimed the cabinet ministers who later resigned because they did not support the third term. i guess quite a number of people need life support to come back to reality. YOU HAVE TO BE A PATIENT TO BE SO PATIENT WITH SATA. I will pray for u.

  78. Is the MMD acting President Katele Kalumba in France or in Zambia? What is the current status of the MMD leadership, will the cadres allow Katele to continue acting in the absence of the President.

  79. #85 if you don’t agree with # 78, what is your point?!?. You can’nt just disagree without offering an alternative. Unless you’ve run out of ‘prepaid’ or ‘talk-time’

  80. Ubulimi bwakale tabutalalika mwana. lets forget Sata he has no political morals or any other for that matter. We need people with clean heads and not uncivilised street manners. Sata went quiet after moving out of MMD because even with his sickness he realised he was wrong. chaps its support from people like yourselves that made him start noise again. His politics are not for the current civilization. we have the independence where we needed people of his calibre. Empty cans make a lot of noise eba Sata.

  81. I must say I’m learning a few thing from some schooled colleagues. How nice to have an educated nation!!

Anyhow my prayers goes to the Presido.. quick recovery Mr President, the family and the nation need you.

  82. After both the Israeli media and the prime minister of Luxembourg declared that Mr. Arafat had died, the head of communications for French military health services felt compelled to issue a formal denial.

“The clinical situation since the days following his admission has become more complicated,” the French official, Gen. Christian Estripeau, said in a statement read to more than 100 reporters outside the Percy military hospital in Clamart, a Paris suburb. “The state of the patient’s health requires appropriate treatments that have required his transfer Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 3, to a service adapted to his ailment.”

“Mr. Arafat,” the general added, “is not dead.”

    General Estripea

  83. Palestinian officials did not hide their irritation with Mr. Juncker. “I don’t understand how the prime minister of Luxembourg can set himself up as the medical spokesman for Arafat,” Nabil Shaath, the Palestinian foreign minister, said in a telephone interview. “They are friends.”

In the afternoon, the French president, Jacques Chirac, made a 30-minute visit to the hospital, where he saw Mr. Arafat and his wife, to whom he expressed “best wishes,” according to Mr. Chirac’s office. The president also met members of the Palestinian Authority and Mr. Arafat’s doctors at the hospital.

The Élysée Palace said the French medical team was “doing everything possible for the health of the presi

  84. Has it dawned on Zambians that after 44yrs of political honeymoon we’re staring at an imminent major national crisis? Everyone around us has had leadership vacuums, succession battles, ethnic wars/cleansing,disappearing political opponents, military escapades and of course bloody non-elections called elections among other terribles. Do we need that dose of reality?I didn’t think so. Please let us be thoughtful as to some of the things we post and not wish others ill. Pray that with or without LPM we shall evolve ever stronger from this ordeal.

  85. No 75 It shows how much you hate sata, but the fact he can make a better president than Your HH. You talked about UPND a trible party. It wont work in this centuary. Everyone one that province is for southerners. If you are from other provinces forget to enter politics in southern provice as you will not make it except in livingstone which has now become a multilingual town. Otherwise HH and UPND forget for now until you reform the party and advise your members to think national and not provincial.

  86. # 98 – Very good comments. While praying for the President can some one enlighten us on whether we have a constitutional crises or not. Mr Banda is still VP and not Acting President, Mr Mwanawasa unlike other few times do not hand over the instruments of power or have the VP gazzeted as Acting President. Now, what will happen if an ambassador or a minister errors, can the VP fire him with out the instruments of power.

  87. People please LPM is clinically dead. What #89 is saying is LPM is on life support, If you remove the machine he will die he is not breathing by himself. GRZ can keep LPM on those machines forever if they want. but the moment you pull the plugs he is gone. This will give RB and his cohorts enough time to resolve the succession procedure. But dont be fooled prepare for the worst but hope for the best.

  88. How can one think provincial and not national? Are there still such people in our civilised mother Zambia? Is it a paralysis of analysis of things? Lets not be tribal chaps. No tribe in Zambia is good enough to rule the country on its own with the contribution of other tribes wake up!

  89. Can some one enlighten us on whether we have a constitutional crises or not. Mr Banda is still VP and not Acting President, Mr Mwanawasa unlike other few times dId not hand over the instruments of power or have the VP gazzeted as Acting President. Now, what will happen if an ambassador or a minister errors, can the VP fire him with out the instruments of power.

  90. It is now dawning on us that the Presido might not pull through to lead us. Lets discuss the possible constitutional crises. Can Mulogoti or the Army commander accept to be dismissed by the VP if they misbehave currently. Who shall they report to. Because we still have a living Republican President until other wise. The VP is still Vp not acting president as it is being indicated by others

  91. Please give MMD a chance to prepare themselves for an engineered election. RB constitutionally can act for as long as cabinet does not declare LPM incapacitated. No one can retire a person on medical grounds whom the Doctors have said he is temporarily on treatment pending discharge. It is a violation of international human rights the international community and noble Zambians wouldd not condone.Mwanawasa’s administration should be given a chance to finish its term and prepare for the 2011 elections. I have no doubt that this is the desirable case we will see.

  92. No one can bring up the motion in cabinet knowing that it would be shot down. The President let statutory executive powers when leaving with his Vice. The Vice can act as long as the President is being attended to in the hospital and cabinet has not declared in a vote that President is incapacitated. If anything the international community and many zambians have faith in the administration. Its never been a one man administration. All structures of the state are intact and operation from the hudiciary, legislature to the executive which has been filled by RB. Try to misbehave and tell me if there is a vacuum.

  93. #106 But RB is not Acting President because LPM did not appoint him to act when he left for the AU. RB can not assume himself Acting President becozi he is not the second most important man in the Country. Effectively RB will assume some supervisory roles limited to the Executive but with very little influence on the Defence , Parliament and Judges and including a missions abroad. This situation might last for as long as the President is not fit enough to appoint VP as acting President.

  94. So long as LPM is not incapacitated and is able to keep an eye on the abuses of public authority and corruption, I don’t mind keeping him as a PRESIDENT for a long while until he gets better. Certainly, he needs “a make over” on his breathing.

The “recent” high stature of LPM is due to his solid stand against corruption and the unflinching resolve to uphold human rights and contain government spending. This is just what makes him tick!! For now, these qualities have earned him alot of admirers. We can’t take it for granted that another leader with similar qualities will emerge soon in MMD. LPM needs time to inscribe an indelible culture into “basic” politicians around him. Get well soon!

  95. How long do you all think the nation can be kept waiting in the dark on the next step. whether dead or not, lpm won’t govern again…so how long can the nation remain in limbo? another week? month? year? what kind of timing game are these guys playing? just wondering how fellow bloggers see it.

also, any words yet from the chief justice???

  96. # 100,which part of Zed do u live in 4 u nt to knw tht tribalism was a “pull him dwn” tag put on Mazoka by chiluba as the only way 2 decampaign Mazoka?PF is more tribal than anx Party in Zed.Sata is going nowhere!

  97. The point of the blog is to share info, pespectives, opinion and news etc so i must ask you why the constant posting in bemba? isn’t that almost going against the whole idea of blogging? before you react, it’s not that i dont understand bemba myself, i do – i just dont think it has a place on a blog of this nature… (of course, i’m speaking to those of you who insist on posting entire posts in bemba – not those that just throw in a word or phrase once in awhile)

  98. 108,
Who cheated you that Mwanawasa leaves the country without an acting President before flying out?Have you looked into the Executive Instruments folder to say that or regis Phiri ever Present on such events told you that? Under what powers then has the VP been convening Defense Chiefs as it were on Tuesday and Wednesday? Under What powers of the Executive daily intelligence briefings he is getting from Regis Phiri 3 times a day? You must be an moron hah?

  99. The operation LMP underwent may be minor, but the implications are serious. A tracheostomy means he can not breathe by himself and requires the use of a ventilator.

Mr Confused (#110), no amount of ill health can hide the fact that the Mwanawasa presidency is a product of corruption and he merely reacted to preserve his own arse. Please keep a level head. The only culture LMP can endorse is how to be corrupt and get away with it.

Rupiah Banda is the defacto president until he recruits enough guts to tell the nation that LMP will never recover and he should weep for his own incompetence and not pretend to have any sympathy for LMP.

  100. Weep not, little children, and fret not yourselves because of the leaders of the world. Jah is still in full control!

  101. Bauze, have you seen LPM?Have you read his medical notes? Have you seen his CAT scans, MRI/MRA scans? Please refrain from such accurate comments because you will soon mislead a lot of our brethren who arent in the medical fraternity. Dont simpify it like RB. If you are medical you know very well that a trachy can lead to chest infections which can kill him if the stroke doesnt. Dont give people flse hope. Just explain where our brothers and sisters need help like Disgusted is doing.

  102. #79 I agree with you on Sata, but with softer words. I appreciate his contribution to mother zed. But his time is up, his health is also failing . And as he gets older he lacks good judgment, changing positions on important national issues like mining tax, constitution review and lacking diplomacy on China etc… Satas ‘bolts and nuts are loose’ as Obama would put it.

  103. ANGOLA: Election crisis — opposition parties under beaten up and persecution.

The truth of the matter is that there is no standardized functional democracy. Each nation has its own democracy. The US’s 2000 Florida Democracy was of its own kind, Zambia has had of its one since 1996, Uganda had its own with Besiege under terrorist charge campaigning from Prison until after elections, Kenya has had its own that scarified 2600 voters with 600,000 more Internally displaced Refuges, Zimbabwe has had its own and now its Angola after Mozambique had another one which took 28 days to release results. Its all democracy.

  104. The Gambia, Zimbabwe Run-off Valid.

At the recently concluded Emergency Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh Gambia took a position that few powers are taking. The Government of President Jammeh feels that the recently conducted Presidential Runoff was a valid election.

  105. I think the LPM has been bewitched, I have heard there is a type of Bwanga(JUJU) that can send one into coma condition and in most cases the western (muzungu) and eastern (chinese) medical systems fail to cure patients in this condition because the don’t understand the ‘science’ used. It is beyond their understanding. The cure can only be done from a traditional african doctor. So if the French believe this to be the case, the can contact me, I may offer help in curing LPM and potentially save his life. Its just a possibility. I know traditional doctors that have brought people out of coma condition but only if the patient was a victim of black magic.

  106. We Africans have put too much faith in things we have very little knowledge about(Western health systems). Traditional doctors may not have degrees from top universities but when it comes to issues of dealing with witchcraft these people know it all. We all know that you can’t learn this art in universities, so people must not rule out this possibility. In most cases prayers are combined with faith in western medicine but I have heard few combine prayer with traditional doctors. Western doctors have discredited traditional african doctors but african doctors have ‘knowledge’ that western or eastern doctors will never understand and this is a fact. Those close to LPM must decide what to do.

  107. #15, you say the English used in the article is simple. Since your the master can you explain how the president went for review at the hospital when he is admitted to the icu unit ? Does it mean they are not checking on him every day as per norm in a hospital yet alone intensive which is 24 hrs watch. There has been no official word of coma only stable.
Expalin this otherswise you are not as smart as you sound!

  108. #129…you must use your head to think rather than you legs mate!!!!!!!!you dont even know what you are talking about?

  109. There is obviously a lot of speculating and counter speculating here but if you really want some semblance of the truth of what has happened to LPM, then you will have to pay attention to what decotex (#67 & 68) said. Because if you read the news on what LPM first complained of and the sequence of events that followed, it all makes sense. Those in the medical bacground would have to agree with me if you think about it!

Bottom line however is that Govt doesn’t need to give us all the little details because they will really not be helpful to anyone other than those that are making the decisions (i.e. doctors for the patient and RB and co for govt!) The rest of us will just do what we ……

  110. …. are doing right now, get more confused and have more questions!!

For those of you that are curious however, few facts as I see them
    – LPM is NOT dead
    – He is not deteriorating either
    – His prognosis is not predictable at the moment and that is why Govt cannot just say “oh ok, let’s elect a new president”. He could be fine in 2weeks, 2months, 2yrs or not at all!
    – The ‘minor op’ (likely tracheostomy) doesn’t neccesarily mean things are getting worse! It could be to protect his airways as he has suffered a stroke, it could be for long term ventilatory SUPPORT, it could be for something else
    – Tradional medicine will NOT help in this case
    – Prayer will (whichever way things go)!!

  111. All structures of the state are intact and operation from the judiciary, legislature to the executive which has been filled by RB. “Try to misbehave and tell me if there is a vacuum” TRY TO MISBEHAVE AND LET US KNOW YOUR EXPERIENCE!!!!!

  112. #121 “Einstein”, in what respect am I misinforming anyone? I don’t have to read his medical notes, nor see his CAT/MRI/MRA scans to proffer the comments I ‘ve made, as the little information I’ve grasped from the govt update easily gives me an idea of what is happening. I’m sorry I didn’t go into the possible complications that you have decided to delve into, you might as well add Pneumothoraces’, blockage, dislodgement,… I fail to see how not mentioning chest infections is misleading. My contribution wasn’t meant to be a treatise in Tracheostomies, but meant to enlighten the non-medical brethren, in what that “minor operation to help breathing” might be, thanx.

  113. Quick recovery to Dr. President… and confort to the first family during the trial times…

More than ever we need to be electing vice presidents so that we elect a someone to lead the nations in times like this…someone not handpicked but someone choosen and not nominated to parliament.

Lets put vice presidents on the ballot too in 2011@!!!

  114. Einstein, in one of your earlier postings you referred to an infarct, & happily went onto explaining what this meant – when you actually look at the information that’s circulating, it refers to a “bleed”, for which required an operation, performed in Egypt. What would have been helpful , was for you to explain what a stroke is, & mention that there are two types, one by Bleeds, & the other by Blockage of arterial supply. You can explain the rest, I leave that as your homework!

  115. I have not understood this statement by Rupiah Banda “The Vice President said the president went for his scheduled medical review – Monday at Percy Military hospital in Paris – France.” Does it mean the President was out of the hospital and then went back for review????????

  116. MWEBENA ZAmbia!!!! pray for the man!!!! we shall talk about his presdency later have some sympathy!!!! ata!!!!

  117. #139. Spot on . Some one by the name Zeddy posted insulting some bloggers that it was simple English used in the lead article. I am also puzzled with the statement by Rb. Such statements make us jump into conclusions as they sound phony!

  118. #141. Iwe koswe, all we ask for is the GRZ to traet people like grown ups. There would be no need for all these assumptions if the updates sound right. If you have no issues with what Mulongoti and co are feeding us you must be lost.

  119. #143 iwe mbuzi!! Just shut up and wait for the authorities to give you the information that you so much desire. You should not even assume anything. Yours is to wait until that info is given to all of us. You must be lost yourself becos you are assuming resposbility of things that you do not have any mandate of. Let them do what ever they have to do and they will let us know.

  120. #144. You sound typical Zambian and you live in Aussie. The news I desire is the truth. You must be a UNIP product people who used to pretend all is well when it was not and misled super Ken.How did the man go for review when he is admmitted in the same hospital. Shed light on this instead of judging me!

  121. Gentlemen and women, please lets not insult each other. Lets portray the true picture of zambians even in time like this when our leader is not well. I know we zambians love each other and if we start such kind of language, non zambians will think we are like them. So please napapata lets just discuss issues and no insults. Lets just continue praying for our leader.

  122. mbuzi, you must have lived a sad life. If RB and co are feeding lies then I am sure it is for the benefit of the country. I am not a supporter of the MMD government but I have choosen to rspect them as our leaders.
RB is our acting prasident at the moment and he should be trusted and repscted as his position.
We have the constitution to guid as in case of the worst happened to LPM. So dont start behaving as though you are more smart than everyone on this blog.

  123. It is shocking how people believe that Jesus lived and yet they cant believe that LPM is still alive. No one has certified levy dead. get well soon LPM.

  124. #147. What benefits ,politicians moving money?.thats what happened to the depreciation last week of the kwacha. I could be naive, list 1 or 2 things the Nation gains if the the government lies? Simple question. No ands , ifs or buts!!

For your you own info some investors would pull coz of the uncertainy.!! Yous must be UNIP as well

  125. #149 these things happen even during election time. You wait what will ahppen to the US currency in november. There was a rumour starting on wednesday that LPM had passed on. Most investors or those who want to invest would want to pull out to wait until everything is stabilised.
Politicians moving money to where? What money do these poor Zambian politicians have? Dont you think is was the investors who were ttrying to pull out just in case chaos errupted in zambia after those rumours.

  126. #153. please lets not talk about Jesus. Just continue discussing LPM. if u are non christian thats your problem.

  127. This blog is foolish people who have nothing to do except insulting on another. Shame on you all *****s. Just leave the son of God out of all this.

  128. Zambians, please sit back, relax and take a breath. No need to make noise here. What shall be will surely be. Lets move on…..

  129. Please correct me, I’m not a medical expert as some of you here. When you have an operation to improve your breathing – what kind of operation is this? Please advise so I can Google it and verify whether this is another package of parastatal lies.

  130. Hey, what a surprise ? Anonymous, for the first time you have behaved like a human being with feelings. I have been following up your postings. So Why this sudden change ?

  131. Hate it or love it , we have lost LPM.Period. we can argue and argue until we are blue in the face. The big man is not well and will never be fit to run this country. Let us not be fake and pretend that he is coming back.

  132. The truth hurts but if breathing itself becomes problematic and one needs an operation to improve it, normal life as we know it is over. The sooner we realise this and the Chief Justice takes over to prepare the nation for the post Levy era the better.

  133. Plz upnd is not a tribal part. We did very well here in milanzi and our leader is very educated than satana. Put satana in power then u will see the worst mugabe ,idi amin and sadam in zambia. Remember satana was nicknamed king cobra. Zed let us pray 4 Lv

  134. Man, you people like going in circles!!!!

#158, the procedure is a Tracheostomy (so we assume!). There are a dozen indications (reasons for doing so) for it. You can pick one and make several deductions from there.

#139 and others, RB may have been using lay language in the very form that it was explained to him. So by ‘Medical review’ all they might have been implying is another round and review by the consultants who make the decisions, to see what progress he has made from the last time they reviewed him and what further treatment he needs. All in the background of constant care from other medical personnel 24/7. So no he didn’t leave ICU!

#161 you can’t predict this prognosis just yet

  135. Lets prey for Levy, As things stand now all the MMD presidential aspirates will cause some confusion allowing Katele Kalumba space for the MMD Presidence, In an event of a by elections UPND and PF wont be able to beat MMD and turn making Katele Kalumba President of Zambia. Katele is slowly moving towards plot 1. Scenario number 2 – The MMD splits up in two, MMD Family Tree and UNIP adopted MMD members and Old MMD Members ie Katele and Mabenges Group. MMD Family Tree likely to win Presidential elections based on nation sympathy.

  136. #164. At this critical time, we need as accurate information as possible. People should not give statements casually as if things are normal. Any misunderstanding can lead to people getting confused start assuming things. So bwana “fact” accurate information is key in these times. If someone says the president went for review, it means he was somewhere i.e. he moved from point A to point B, over a certain distance within a specified time.

  137. I have loved the prayers comming from all coners of the country. Let us continue praying, not only when faced with a dilema but make it a habit

  138. Zambia is bigger than Levy. Lets chat the way forward. Good luck Levy, we’ll always love you.

  139. why do you ppl want to pretend? some of us do/did not like levy. whether he is dead or not, life goes on. I hated his tribalism which most of you I believe hate. By the way, did you think he’ll live for ever? Every dog has its own day. There are better ppl at leopards hill than levy. So, lets move on guys. Zambia will not be buried with levy. Not even his wife can accept to be thrown in alive. There are better ppl to move Zambia forward. After all Levy was a fluke. I don’t care who comes in as prez, since at the moment we are being ruled by a tribalist. Sata came back from death a changed person. May be Levy will come back changed and leave Chiluba alone. That is if he will come back.

  140. Let us discuss things with respect and reflect on the hope we have always had in Jesus, our Saviour.Wishing LPM a quick recovery. He is a great man who has sorted out all types of thieves and corrupt men, has put back the country on track.

  141. Abu,
Levy is a corrupt man and a thief that is why he is very busy dying in Paris. The wages of corruption, so don’t think we are all as feeble minded as you are fool.

  142. I’m starting to prepare for the worst, “aiding breathing” that op might be very crucial.LPM is still ICU, hope not on life support.Get well soon LPM and 2 da 1st family, we will pray 4 ur strength.LPM get well soon and pls retire.Living is better than leading.LPM has run his race, thanks we pround of u.

A unity govt would not be a bad idea. I think we have matured in politics now, esp that Sata has senses now.MMD,PF and UPND could make a good govt, led by Magande and Lubinda. We want healthy leaders, please, we will have a record of heart attacks in plot no.1 if Sata leads this govt. What do u think? RB is abit old school for my liking. We will come to this point, lets just start the debate.

  143. I like the analysis of Eisteins and Uk, let medical doctors tell us the chance of President escaping from the brutal jaws of death. I have personal experience of a stroke one of my good friend though much older than myself was attacked with the stroke, upto this day he can’t speak and reason well.

Unless president mwanawasa’s stroke was mild! bauze tell us something. Let our learned medical doctors do their analysis, iam enjoying their reasoning.

  144. Abu, get real. Levy’s tribal tracks are worse than what some fools want has to believe. Tribalism cause civil wars. Did you want that track? Levy was hypocritical on Mugabe issues hence God did not allow him speak at AU.

  145. If we are looking for a leader after Levy, we better focus on HH.He has the brains whether you like it or not.Of course even those who give him a tribal tug knw that fact.I personally beyond the tribal thing. The problem with young man HH is that he has quite a few useless chaps around him.

  146. These updates are so vague, they are not telling us anything! What is the state of the president? Is he able to talk, walk….. What treatment is he undergoing? Who are is doctors and what is their experience and background? These updates are doing nothing to quash the rumour mill!!

  147. Let us hope his death or condition will help us close the tribalism chapter he brought on Zambia. I hate tribalists and I may spit on his grave. Look at what tribalism did to Rwanda, Congo, Nigeria, Somali, Zimbabwe, come on guys. Let him go. Do not waste your prayers, God will not answer your prayers.

  148. Kalos2020, you are such a hypocrite!! You hate tribalism so you’ll spit on your tribal cousins grave?!?!? You are a fool. Log off the computer now and go to bed.

  149. Hey its worrying. Everything about ba Levy’s condition is “minor” or “stable”. Minor stroke, minor operation, meanwhile he is in ICU.The Post today says “Levy to undergo ANOTHER operation. Which other one did he have, I only heard of the one to control the brain haemorrage and this was in the Egyptian papers and Mulongoti told us not to believe that. Are we going or coming on this illness, even as we pray?

  150. The entire MMD is jittery. This is politics, its not about protecting LPM’s privacy, it seems the don’t know what to do. They did not expect things to turn out like this. They can’t seem to come to terms with the fact that LPM might not be president again, which means a lot of thing especially to those close to him and those who were hiding behind him for all kinds of things. I hope he pulls through this period in his personal life and if he does, he should reflect on his personal choices including that of being President of Zambia.

  151. Please lets learn to respect the leadership of the day. Mwanawasa has done a lot of good things for Zambia. So lets appreciate whatever he has done other than insulting him like that. Get well soon LPM

  152. Many thanks to those who have continued to pray for the president.

I am happy to learn that our president is still alive. God help us so our president comes back and continue his good works.

    # 15 you speak a lot of sense, it appears others are happy with the situation, however, we can do nothing to those people since they are not the provider of life.

Long live Mwanawasa long live Mwanawasa. Atleast the man has done what we all never expected from him. The economy of the country being at the issue.

If one wants to wake up one morning and find kanyama compound changed into Ibex hills before they can appreciate what Mwanawasa has done, then I can assure them that they are being ..

  153. … unrealistic. The destruction to our economy that was done by Chiluba and his minions who include Sata can not be undone within such a short period.

Well done Mwanawasa and long live!!!

  154. Abena mwesu, too much blah blah blah and failing to understand simple things,it’s about a week & people are still trying to figure out what’s up with our dear President, some are even naively saying Levy should be shown on tv or he should make a speech.
To those that are still clueless, the internet is such a powerful tool and for you to be on this site means you used a lil bit of knowledge to research and find this site so use that to search answers you need on google.com,one by one type in Coma,Brain Hemorrhage, stable, minor and you will get your answers instead of waiting for Rupiah Banda to explain everything,he’s not a doctor. The President is critically ill and has to be ICU not a hotel.

  155. Cheers Ant Sata for seeing sense.By the grace of God,Levy will wake up from coma and at least live so that his family can know that he is still part of them,it doesn’t matter whether he will be paralysed or unable to work, the most important thing is that he will live on.
People will only appreciate Levy when we have someone like Sata to take the country back to a one party state,i hear he even intends to invite Mugabe to his innauguration should he win elections whenever he wins.
God bless Zambia and may he heal our President so that he lives, whoever goes to state house next, good luck.

  156. Katele cannot be president of this country, period. Zambians have a long enough length of memory to remember that this man like Chiluba are the same Katangese janjaweedos who plundered our country. Luapulans can vote for them but not any other Zambian

  157. Zambia’s Tribalist Politics

Our message to the people of Zambia remains the same. The real cause behind unemployment, inflation and poverty is capitalism, the social system based on class domination, competition and selfishness. We repeat: in countries subjected to foreign domination and wage-slavery capitalism feeds and grows by enabling ethnic and tribal prejudices. It encourages voter apathy in societies where political patronage is based on tribal identities.

  158. Cont’d

It bedevils political stability through encouraging expediency based upon strengthening tribal domination and ill-feeling.

Socialism can bring to an end all this rot. A classless, moneyless and stateless society will end the ethnic, racial and sectarian antagonisms. The struggle before you remains the same—a class struggle on an international scale.

  159. #188. U should not be tribal when dealing with issues. Whether Luapula, of Eastern or Southern, we are all zambians. U are the characters who can put the country at war.

  160. #51. Einstein
It doesn’t take a person from a medical background to see that at least you have a little bit of knowledge or can use research tools to read the condition in which the President is in however your analysis is misplaced.
Einstein, google & wikipedia answers tell us that you are arguing against doctors.Egyptian doctors said Mwanawasa is in a semi coma as he is able to respond to stimuli. The brain of a person in a coma is not dead but in its lowest mode of function to put it that way,if it was dead then do you mean people who have woken up from coma and returned to normal life after rehab are superhumans eh!

  161. “My heart is now seated” (umutima waikala) to hear that our leader is making progress. I join my spirit with all those decent and peace-loving Zambians who wish the president quick recovery. As most of you have correctly pointed out, this is not the right time to discuss presidency but to remain focused on the progress of the nation. Forward with Zambia, never looking back! Lesa apale.

  162. #188 It is not up to you to decide who becomes President of Zambia. If Katele is chosen as MMD Presidential candidate that is the choice of MMD members. If you are an MMD member is your time to use your right to vote by voting for the person you believe is the best to represent MMD. If Katele is adopted that again is the choice of MMD members not people from any particular group. We don’t want tribalism in Zambia. Like someone said perhaps this is an opportunity to close the tribalism gap that has been emerging in Zambia. We are all Zambians, let the best candidate who can unite the country come forward and move the country forward. Let the best party with policies that benefit ALL win.

  163. I didn’t know we have some shallow minded people from my country who are tribal as i am seeing on this site,i believe it’s only a minority infact those that are disadvantaged and have complex issues due their own fault or their parents fault.
I am glad i have relatives from many tribes in Zambia hence i don’t give a toss where one hails from and will vote for anyone as long as i like their educational background, ideas and their party manifesto.

  164. Let us separate the two issues:1. Levy-We wish him a quick recovery and God’s blessings.God could help him to complete his term in 2011 and that would be great 2.If we are looking for a leader after Levy, we better focus on HH.He has the brains whether you like it or not.Of course even those who give him a tribal tug knw that fact.I am personally beyond the tribal thing. Do not call a BENZ a FIAT 127 just becos it is on your neighbour who you detest. Some of you a tribalist is any person aspiring for something who is not from your area whether Intelligent or NOT.Muchinge Mukwai mukaleta nkondo…self fish

  165. People take it easy… Zambia is still ours with Levy in Plot 1 or in the grave..

Back to the constitution and what it says on presidential incapacity, A cabinet minister earning a living from his position and not having plans to leave ofice soon can not be in a hurry to declare his boss ‘incapable of office’. He must prolong his own stay to give himself time to re-organize his life find a new house and organize alternative sources of income incase goverment changes the political party 3months from now. The VP cannot go back to his life in Chipata after this. Therefore, each cabinet minister has to make sure he secures himself and his family before 3months is over.. Amen

  166. Right now If I was RB, CJ I would be more concerned are people who are holding government positions, look at their behaviour how they’re spending our cash. Am forced to think someone thinks he can get away with something right now.

We need Govt to go to Percy and get facts not feed us third party information. Let Chituwo get to Percy and give us report this week. No jokes around here. How we handle this will res-sound in neighbouring countries that look up to zambian politics as model.. Tanzania, Malawi etc

  167. Lets be realistic and prepare for the worst. What is the constitutional implication of Levy being in ICU for the nxt few wks or months? Will cabinet declare him incapacitated? Will RB then have to call for fresh elections within 90 days? These are serious questions we are all going to have to face, whether we like it or not. That said, I wish Levy a speedy recovery.

  168. Thanks for the update, vice.I still feel not good enough for you guys writing too much about LPM’s sickness, he’s human as well untill he comes back from France we will hear more if he want. All have rights to privacy, why many of you guys want to talk too much about LPM sickness? come on guys be real

  169. I think arguing with people on this forum over Levy, can make you sick as Levy himself.

  170. LPM will certainly not be President beyond this year. Lets face it, the man is SICK and can not discharge his functions as President! Remember, this is his second stroke in as many years. Whats the way forward? The MMD should now start looking for a credible candidate to lead them to the next elections. Opposition parties must unite now than ever before – a 2 horse race will be healthy for Zambia. HH for President!

  171. imwe leave lpm alone if hes dead msy his soul rest in peace, let maureen and her relatives enjoy power en money whilst ba mudala bali ku life support, pantu sata ngaisa they will suffer more than what chiluba is going through, dont blame chiluba for money plundering like the bembas say ‘uwbomba mwibala alya mwibala’. where did you expect docter to eat from……..

  172. I would like to take this opportunity to apologies to fellow zambians over my utterances on Talk 702 on our president. I didn’t not know what i was doing

  173. I agree with #205 Shidada
People are still asking the same rubbish & itching to have elections now when the President has not died yet & has not been declared incapacitated.I suggest those that are asking how the President is and what ”stable” means take time to read some of the comments above before they join the bandwagon of people who keep asking what the word stable means or is the President alive or dead.Take the cotton wool of your ears chaps and open your eyes, the President is still critically ill and is in ICU & will be there for sometime as he is in a semi coma so he can’t address you on tv neither will you see a picture of him lying motionless in bed coz he’s head of state ok!

  174. #208, stop being stupid, this is not the time for silly impersonations. The ‘real’ Zaza is in hiding, so get back to work u foolish fool

  175. #197. If HH has sent u to campaign for him, could you shut down you PC and go to hell. HH store money and we don’t want to send thieves to plot 1. God will give us another leader after our beloved president HE LPM completes his term. To hell with thieves, to heLl with HH. Even Sata is better option.

  176. If Zambians worked as passionately as they ‘blog’, Zed would be a developed nation by now. Some of u chaps can’t even concentrate on work, just waiting to hear the latest rumour on Levy…

  177. #213, I concur, ba ngwele ukutemwa uku bloga, some chaps can’t even sleep because of fear mongering

  178. Zaza my ass. And its “Marlone” not “Malone” you *****. The real Marlone must be a guy working for an intelligence organization not some Bum at an internet cafe’.

  179. lets all pray for LPM and his Family. We have all seen that LPM is a man for the peole.there is no one in MMD who can be President as of now.Thank God for healing my President at least i have heard that he is alive.please contiune healing him.

  180. Knowing Levy if he comes out of this alive and talking he’ll refuse to be President. After all he is “Mr integrity”.

The only person holding on to power here is Maureen not Levy

  181. back to the topic @ hand, Levy even if he recovers, may not be able to handle the rigours of the Presidency, given his fragile health. To make matters worse, his succession planning was very poor, leaving a power vacuum…now all sorts of characters incl Sata, Katele, GBM, etc are all plotting on the next move. Fallacy of Zed politics nififine, it’ll be interesting to see what transpires in the nxt few wks…!

  182. whatever you guys are saying, we cannot afford to celebrate or even express our hatred against Levy in his condition coz its only human to be ill.My conviction is that for whatever reason GOD allowed Levy to be at the helm.No matter how medical or philosophical or even political we sound, there is still a way the Almighty looks at this situation.Man limited GOD UNLIMITED.This, though, is not to say that we cease to enjoy the rights of our opinions. But the truth is that if we remain open to divine wisdom,we are guarateed the best options even at such a time as this.

  183. When does RB’s acting role become illegal. When LPM left, he must have signed the power of limited attorney to RB and it must have had a limitation.
LPM cannot continue to be president if he remains in a COMA state or in a state not to be able to govern. What we want to know is.What is the duration stipulated by the Zed constitution.
We dont want our Country/people to start seeking legal intervention to make this Current acting president to be removed.
let the parliament be involved in any prolonged acting role of this RB who no one voted him anywhere in this country.

  184. HH @ Grant Thornton made sure only Tongas made it to the top. Just look at the make-up of partners there. Chap is tribalist thru and thru, can’t lead the nation with that kind of mindset! abash, we better off experimenting with a completely new face!

  185. 212 I feel for you. It looks like the mention of HH sends serious shock waves in your system. I understand you actually becoz HH is a huge name in Zed politics. How come you view those who support HH as compaigning for him and not those who support Sata?? I have seen Sata’s name appearing on several people’s contributions and yet it does no feel to you that they are compaining for him. Does that say something about you. ‘To hell with HH’ is a bit too strong. I wonder what you will do if you woke up one day and found HH was your president coz that is not a far off dream, Leave Zambia I suppose…Lets be mature and objective. LPM has never been my cup of tea but he is in state house and so…

  186. ..he deserves my respect. Such is life. Don’t be too furious about people, God chooses ultimately leaders.

  187. #218 Updates to the Vice President should most likely be sent by the President’s Physician who travels with him wherever he goes. The Minister of Health Mr Chituwo also went to Paris(don’t know if he’s still there) and am sure they are working together because he is the one that sends sms msgs to senior family members back home to update them whenever Doctors say something,Brig Gen Chituwo is also a medical doctor so he knows what he is talking about when he passes on messages.
Maureen is not part of govt and as such does not have a say in govt affairs so she is being insulted for nothing here.

  188. We have had big names not HH. He will finish like his friend nervus mumba. If u think HH, the tribalist will be President, u are wrong.

  189. Quite interesting to see how people voice out their opinions as though they are proven facts. The heart of man is desparately wicked, who can find it out? Why cant people just wait.

  190. #237…can you provide a list of the big names you have in mind? I want to know and brainstorm about who is who to lead us.

  191. Hemorrhagic stroke
    Overview
    Symptoms
    Treatment
    Prevention
    Definition:
Hemorrhagic stroke involves bleeding within the brain, which damages nearby brain tissue. See also:

    Hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage
    Intracerebral hemorrhage
    Alternative Names:
Brain bleeding; Brain hemorrhage; Stroke – hemorrhagic
    Causes, incidence, and risk factors:
Hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a blood vessel bursts inside the brain. The brain is very sensitive to bleeding and damage can occur very rapidly, either because of the presence of the blood itself, or because the fluid increases pressure on the brain and harms it by pressing it against the skull.

    Bleeding irritates the brain tissue

  192. felix mutanti is the next president…if not felix i will choose professor chirwa to raplace me

  193. Bun Dem Dread………….big up!So mi i say!!!
All is in vanity…Zed move on before it is too
    late.

  194. # 245, how about getting serious about issues. Everybody knows that You’re not HH, because HH is morally above Sata, unless you have a memory the size of a peanut not to recall Sata’s thuggery and political misdeeds. He’s the thief and not HH. But again here we’re talking about our President’s current condition, and what have you got to say about that?

  195. check out this new political party website for Zambia: ver interesting;

    thecitizensdemocraticparty.com

  196. check out this new political party website for Zambia: very interesting;

    thecitizensdemocraticparty.com

  197. Mutati has been cheating on what was going on at Indeni, so he out. Chirwa, u can’t trust him coz he ran away from problems and went to enjoy himself abroad instead of suffering together; he can leave u when things are tough, so he is out. At least someone will come out.

  198. #237 are you Ok my dear? I usually value your contributions when you are your real self. Need a brain scan?

  199. felix would be great – foreign investors love him, the donors listen to him but (there is always a but) he has 3 dilemmas:

    1. the zesco days will come back to haunt him – dont know if you remember but he was fired from zesco together with the so-called “Mutati Boys”. we have never been told why!
    2. the man is a womanizer. speak to any woman that has worked at zesco/finance/energy/commerce – black, white, colored or indian…the man eats all curries and know zamchicks this would be pay day!
    3. (and most importantly) what has he actually done! Hes a great talker, especially when he does his Martin Luther King speeches (supposedly presidential) but what has he delivered. Nadda

  200. ba presidents advisor………..the money again awe stop commenting boss..yo english is bad

  201. Can Rupiah give us an update; it has been over 12 hours since the last update . He promised to update the nation regularly what is the story now?

  202. We respect Gwendoline as a grand mum but to think of her as a next President. Ha! When we have women the calibre of Dr.Inonge Mbikusita Lewanika,Mrs.Edith Nawakwi Hambulo and Ms Silvia Masebo. Come on guys lets get serious.

  203. I think an outsider like Prof Chirwa would do wonders to Zambia. People who have stayed in the country for too long are the most corrupt because they have friends everywhere. At this point in time, Prof Chirwa for MMD would be a fresh choice. Just saying he is abroad so he can’t run for the presidency is not an issue challenge him on the ideas he is promoting because he is still very much Zambian.

  204. # 261 i agree with you, this topic is not news any more. Can LT be more creative or at least keep an ear to the ground and inform us on LPM at least every 3 hours

  205. The mentality we have developed is quite scary- ‘ donors liten to him’ is a must have quality? It is like having borrowing skills is an enviable trait! Is that what we have become? Endlessly borrowing and surviving on that is what has made us poor.

  206. #20 hi, why can’t you stress a point, rather than bringing issues which are not on topic. we are not blaming the so called mulongoti&RB. we want them to tell us the truth.first of all, which school did you go to.you sound as if you are (isaka) get the point.

  207. rb is hiding something..we wnt to know the status of our president.we are tired of being told that hes stable..mind u its tax payers money that took levy to france..and y are we being told by govt that he has hypertension..wen bbc and foriegn media are talking of brain shani uko.2 weeks no president awe guys naimwe…..viva felix mutanti

  208. I have gone away with four names suggested by fellow bloggers. I will subject these names to various tastes before i decide whom to support. God bless you all.

  209. abu
hh can’t be a president period.
Start finding a new UPND president if you tongas wanna rule zambia.Hh showed that he is a tribalist and a proper thief who can’t be given any chance to govern Zambia. He came from no where and became presdo of UPND instead of sakwiba and chisanga!!That man sold mines in order to be reach like that!
To make matters worse, where he worked as a director only tongas had big posts.
That man lacks education.what he did to sakwiba can only happen in zambia where a person comes from nowhere and becomes president!
we have to stop that and put people who can run our county!!
    HH is a joker!!!!

  210. Bloggers, aside from the topic at hand, for only £5, I am prepared to give a one week crash course in english spellings to most of you. Don’t they teach that in schools anymore?

  211. Read thru the Citizensdemocraticparty materials. They are all short term wishes except education and agric. They have not said a word on corruption, nepotism, tribalism, etc. There is no word as to who the people behond this party are. It could be Chiluba and his endless thieving friends.

Have these people read thru the UPND manifesto? This would save them alot of time trying to recreate a wheel already available on the dusty streets of Lusaka. But ofcourse, Chiluba labelled it to be a tribal party and succeeded to trick the majority of Zambians from voting into office Mazoka, a man worth a thousand Mwanawasas intellectually.

  212. CJ I agree with some of your analysis which you mess up with heritage and tribal lines. Its not about tribe. HH is better than Sata in terms of current economical mindset. Look unlike you who hates pipo on account of tribe… Iam Lozi( mum)/Bemba( dad)…. and not Tonga one bit. HH is the man. He ran a Consulting Company where you rise by your contribution and on merit not becos so and so is your uncle.Sakwiba that you talk about is an intelligent Lawyer but quite childish! The Mines were sold by your uncle Chiluba and HH had nothing to do with the sales. His(HH) company gave advise to investors and did business plans for them .

VIVA HH Abash pretenders who hide behind tribal

  213. what kind of party is CDP, the first thing that you see on the website is “contribute now”,when we have not even seen the fruits, its not even a real party and are asking for money. Everything that is on the site has been said by many politicians, what zambians want to hear is how the plans will be effectively and efficiently executed…..OTHERWISE YOU ARE JUST DREAMERS!!!!!!!

By the way Mutati is the man! He is brilliant and #257 were do you get your data #2, cause we work with the man n there ve been no complaints nor rumours in that area!

  214. cj get it in that your thick head, we do not want no Tonga, Bemba, Lozi etc to rule Zambia, we want an intelligent, vibrant and sobber Zambian to rule Zambia and HH is one such person. You are so tribalistic, why should you say if Tongas wanna rule Zambia. No wonder you will always wallow in poverty because you look at tribe and not capability. Shame on you.

  215. If we had put Mazoka as President he wud have died at state house.

Mwanawasa is dying at state house..

Sata wud die at state house so… Lets be level headed and get Chirwa in the saddle… If u’ve been to school..

  216. Bauze, I dont need to start explaining the aetiology and pathophysiology of the the strokes. It wont be of any help to any one. I am not writing a thesis either on tracheostomies and in any case its to far from my areas of interest even though neuro is my area of interest. Thanx for reminding me about the ischaemic and haemorrhagic strokes. I dont need your homework thanx I alreay have enough on my hands. I envy you if you can comment based on circulating rumours and reject what would give you the absolute authority? I thought medicine was about hard evidence obviously I was wrong.

By the way I just expanded the word infarct and didnt intend to delve on it.

  217. Bauze, I agree with you my earlier posting about the infarct could as well be misleading if we are talking about the bleed. However, in an case we both know that either way there is brain damage. I dont need to explain further on this matter to you unless you insist. Its always good to issue a healthy warning you know that, even if the complications are remote and at least I made you extend that to the zedians. I frankly accept very little from this sieved info they are giving us. Everything is polished and minaturized.

  218. #284 Realist please have some respect. This was obviousy offside. You will make me think this blog is a wrong fora all together. Stop expressing your wish in this manner. Zambia is a christian nation so have heart for others.

  219. Zeddy, if you are related to the first family as I remember you claiming, it beats me that you are so glued to this blog and shooting at everyone who has a different view from yours. I thot family members are too touched by this misfortune that they do not even have the energy to argue with people. But for you eeh!! it is a different story.

  220. Realist # 284, Remember that even among criminals they are ethics, even people write strange things here, Your posting is a sham and completely offside.

  221. Look what you did! Now zamnet.zm has removed a link to lusakatimes.com from their website. Cowards that they are!

  222. Zambians unite lets leave everything in the hands of the creator our hard working head of state is our father we need him back home sound and safe God performs wonders he is able to heal his wounds and suferring he is undergoing imagine you were in his shoes.

  223. One thing that surprises me is why should he still be in ICU if he’s stable?what does word stable mean?

  224. #295 Hey man, its you to grow up,why are complaning about names? Zedians are so common and its not strange to find two or more with same name!

  225. Now ive come 2 believe that zambians r not united. Surely how do you celebrate over someone’s death. Where is da peace, love and unity we preach as a christian nation. All who wish lpm dead will feed on his fresh when he dies. Dr.lpm get well 4 all things r possible with God.

  226. If I may ask what kind of operation was carried on LPM to increase his breathing rate??? Where is Dr Chituwo?? We need to know.Tell us the truth ba LB

  227. I salute u all,as we know the president is in bad shape at the moment the best we can do is to pray for his recovery. Now, the question we should ask ourselves is:
Once LPM recovers and looking at the sort of operations he has under gone, will he be able to handle the presidential pressures?

  228. Opnion Poll on LSk times shows thta HH is more favoured than any other Presidential aspirants currently on the Political scene. This seems to be the same story on the streets on Zed. Attributes of Y HH is more favoured will be coming shortly, let me work a bit…..

  229. #301. Kuce Delly,

Read on before you make your posting. We have discussed that already. If you want responses check the thread “Am Coping Well with National Duties-VP” otherwise go home.

  230. Tetamashimba agrees that MMD has to start leadership search as soon as Mwanawas is bck (if at all he will come bck not as cargo). It seems that MMD s headed for a crack where leadership succession is concerned, this will be the end of MMD.Wait and see. I dont think the family tree will accept Katele Kalumba as MMD President (of which he is going to win anyway at the MMD convention). there will be MMD 1 and MMD 2, MMD 1 will be lead by Katele and MMD 2 will be led by Shikapwasha or Frederick Hapunda won Mwanawas had been trying to plead with him to come bck to active Politics. Events of the next few months in Zambia will be very interesting.

  231. Shikapwasha has no grip on the MMD cadres and is not respected by them.More ever, people within MMD will not acdept easily any person from Family tree.

  232. i have grate respect for Hapunda. have known to be one of the very few intelligent and dedicated politician Zambia has ever had. I though Hapunda was UPND.anyway, he been too quite.Maybe MMD wnat to float him just to distabilise UPND and divide Southern Province because he was very respected in S.Province when he was MMD S.Province chariman under Chiluba.

  233. #105 Senior Citizen
You coward of a man. True men dont fall on titles, they fall on courage. Leave Chapi alone and take on someone your own size. Do you think this blog needs your record of service. We can neither verify it nor care whether you were the vice president. The reason you mention that you worked for Super Ken is to try to gain attention even when your contributions are hollow. The mere mention that you served super ken and Ftj doesnt mean you’re sharp. You could have been the chap who ran the things down. Again how do we verify. So your ideas are the only things we want here not who’s boot you licked. Leave Chapi alone, so far he/she scored more than you grandpa.

  234. Dear Fellow Zambians, the one who shout the loudest cant make a good leader, lets take a look at the current finance minister (Magande) he is the only one who hasnt been move since new deal came into power. What do u think?

  235. Great People, let not only focus on elections, Let think through on the general overview I dont think the President should continue appointing his vice? may Parliament should be highly involved.

  236. The Call to have Mwanawasa’s successor should be taken seriously though we know that our dear President is sick the country has to continue going ahead with its policies If we wait for any eventualities to occur we will start panicking so the best time is now.May the Lord God Grant our Leader good health in Hospital.
    God Bless Zambia.

  237. Dr. Mwanawasa was in hospital for 1 year after his car crash. He recovered and became president in 2001. Then he spent April to June 2006 in hospital being treated for a mild stroke after which he returned and won the 2006 election with 43% of the vote cast compared to the 29% he got in 2001! This year, the gentleman has only been is hospital for 2 weeks and you want him to be replaced! What a bunch of buffons Zambia has calling for their president to step down. Dr. Mwanawasa will not be impressed when he returns!

  238. u r the only one thinking my dear#313 no wonder yo comment has even come late. he rest are just blurburring. it is not the first time lpm is down except maybe this time he is very very far from us. He’s well and coming back wther to continue or not.

  239. I propose that in this moment of crisis, a transitional government of national unity led by HH be formed. He is young, intelligent and in excellent health. This governmnt could govern until 2011, when the next elections are due

  240. we need the president back alive and maybe resign and die later. its important for the interest of our nation. if you understand the constitution you know what i mean. Meanwhile lets continue with the debate its quiet interesting.

  241. Am not interested in this debate. I just pray that the president should come back in good health. i also ask Maurren Mwanawasa to be mindful of what the president swallows everyday THATS WHY SHES THE WIFE TO TAKE CARE OF THE HUSBAND, PLEASE. Avoid junk food especiaaly fats. I ask God to heal him mayb then UNZA will be reopened. If our intelligent president was to come, he would pump sense in THE BIG HEADED LUNGWANGWA!!!!

  243. the fact that ministers have started sharing money through increment of their already abnormal allowances is clear indication that they are telling us lies about the health of LPM

  244. The Ministers are taking advantage of the Presidents absence to increase their allowances…shame on them….Ba Levy Quick recovery and come and sort out the goons, hyena and jackals that seem to be taking advantage of your absence to fatten themselves!!!

  245. the lose of our president is a great tragedy to the nation, they goons, hyenas and the jackals celebrate but not for long,

we true patriots of mother Zambia need to stand and hold hands in this trying moment, lets unite and pray for the future of this great nation.

  246. Its sad that we have lost our president when we needed him most,,,Stand up Zambia and unite.Despite his health status he had “development for the nation at heart”
In the meantime am not happy with the number of days given for the national mourning…for whatever reason.P

Nomba please Ba MMD not ifyakulalwila uku teka,,we love peace!! May God see us through.

  247. mwanawasa is now dead stop all those arguments ala? nimuchibwato nomba, lekeni tushikefye mwalamona what will happen, hey guys pamakaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  248. I think we should all be praying because we really need a good leader who will take over not sata Let pray to God to give us a leader who will care for every Zambia and not break their homes making them homeless not chasing

them from the one place that keeps them living and hanging on to life and hoping that one day God will open his eyes.Let pray a leader that will

make change so each and every person in Zambia can be happy.Let all think about what is best for our country and pray to God that he should not give us his back on this matter.

    God bless you all
