Who is Responsible?

Share

Dear Jelita,

I hope you are fine. As you know I travelled to Zambia two weeks ago. It was so nice to be at home. I took a flight from New York to Johannesberg, then connected to Ndola. The first thing that hit me was how dirty the place looked. It pained me that up to now our Government can’t improve the way the country looks. However, as I went to buy fruit at Shoprite I quickly felt at home among our friendly people. It was even nice seeing the Kaponyas as they rushed to get my shopping bags from me-ofcourse at a fee!

I then travelled to Chingola. Thats when my heart really sank. The Kitwe-Chingola road is so congested with trucks. We were travelling at 20km/hr and guess what, we were travelling behind a huge truck carrying explosives for the mines! It didn’t even have an escort car to warn motorists. It was almost impossible to overtake, for one, the road is narrow and there were other trucks, buses, cars heading in the opposite direction. I’ve never been so terrified. I quickly noticed a new driving pattern. People were just overtaking anyhow and it was up to the on coming car to slow down. It took us over an hour to crawl to Chingola.

Honestly can’t the authorities do something about that road! The mines are making so much money. I mean copper is over $8000/ton. Can’t they build roads for their trucks instead of endangering the public? That Kitwe -Chingola road needs to be a dual carriage way at the least. Foolishly enough I saw some factory being built near the road along the Kitwe/Chingola road. If in future someone wants to expand the road what are they going to do about these plants that are built so close to the road? If the local government has no money they should at least close the road to trucks say from morning to evening which is the time the general public mostly travels. Or they could set up toll roads as a way of collecting revenue.
I’m so cross with the government, they were so quick to sell our mines and didn’t take our peoples needs into consideration.

Is it the Chingola council responsible or do we point a finger at the President?
If you have the address of the idiot responsible for this please forward his/her address to me.
Well sorry for being so political but I was really pissed. More next time.

love Womba

  1. Iwe ka Womba, you cannot point a finger at his excellency Mwanawasa. Don’t you know that he is in hospital??????

  2. Womba, Kaponya’s lifting your plastic bags? You couldn’t use a trolley to push your plasctiv bags to your hired car (seeing as you are coming from USA, you muct have hired one)? Where were you walking to by the way to warrant you carrying your plastic bags? Lets be sincere and not exergarate stories just to get yourselves credit for writing. You must appreciate that as a country (and city for that matter Ndola) we have achieved tremendous strides, if you are not happy being here, please you are welcome to leave us and go back to the US. Even Rome was not built in one day.

  3. if we have people like chiwaya ndola, kalulushi nsonso…i cant even mention him name just go there and see foryourself, tuma projects!and really what do you expect from some of these chaps am sure only head transplant can work? you just wonder from 1964 and still we can not even feed the population of 10m.

  4. Please Womba don’t diss Ndola so much. This is the city which the former presdo FTJ run aground just to settle scores with his madala competitors for girls and women. We’ve been left with our own vices for the last decade and half to keep going without no major industry. Your comparison is with the richest nation in the world, a hundred of years old country that had its share of poverty before your grandparents were even born. We gat no money but are atleast affording three meals a day and decent accomodation. The Ndola one saw five years ago is much worse than the one you find today. Chingola road is one matter I can’t comment on. But I think a dual carriage way there is necessary. Hello #2

  5. #2 building Rome ha ha when you can not feed yourselves or just building a new stadium.how long will it take you?pliz dont mislead people who have been unfortunate to visit other countries. As Zambians we will only move forward if we are frank to one another.a wrong thing will remain a wrong thing.Things are still bad.even zim will pick-up, us will remain where we are.sorry!

  6. What is interesting about most of the posts is how low our standards are for the govt and ultimately ourselves. Whether or not this story was embelished we all know that the state of the Kitwe-Chingola road is pathetic. The mines are making profits that we as a people are not seeing much, if, any of. Lets not stick our heads in the sand and continue to give those who are tasked with the responsiblity of building and maintaining such infrastructure an excuse.#2 Your comment is sooo backward. I would rather have a person living in Zambia who is prepared to call a spade a spade. To me, a true patriot is an individual with the courage to speak the truth even when it is inconvenient.

  7. #6, Speak the truth and don’t just be an armchair critic, like most Zambians who’ve travelled the world. They say this is supposed to be like this like that but expect other people to do that for them. We all know things are bad in our country but the few of us who actually try to turn things for the better are unresourceful, without ideas and generally let down by people who know it all but just end at criticizing. They’d rather take sits in the audience than take the podium. It’s very frustrating my brother,it really is. Almost all the best infrastructure you find in the US was initiated by a citizen. Come join us make a SMART plan for Chingola road..don’t expect others to do it without u.

  8. Iwe Womba whom do think you are in that undisclosed ghetto in USA? Your uncle’s house in Chingola is much better than your 1 bed roomed apartment messed up with graffiti. Stop “kulibwenesha”, Zambia is trying its best to develop infrastructure. Luckily enough you landed in Ndola and not Lusaka, otherwise you could have written opposite. Can some one rewrite this and include, Arcades, Manda hill and all the new hotels, which you can’t compare with the dirty USA hotels (brothels).

  9. Please #9 withdraw your statement. If you think Manda hill and arcades are structures worth mentioning, then sad for you. Without comparing to first world countries whose standards and infastructure are beyond our dreams even in a million years, visit Kenya, Botswana, Swaziland which are contries similar to us and see how fast they have developed in the last 10 to 15 years. Our govts have let us down and kept us behind. These countries are not any richer than us but they have utilised their resources better. Dont defend, travel and see 4 urself.

  10. I do’t think this country will improve if we have stiff necked people like some of you bloggers.Learn to call a spade a spade. If that vehicle exploded it would be a waste of human life with no compesation whatsoever. Why should we allow to sink so low just because Zambia is a so called third world country?
Womba is right and the best you can do is look at how best we can try and solve the problem.
Stop being unteachable ad for one moment use your brain for something positive.Zambian roads are some of the dangerous in the world. And when you think of the fitness of vehicles …mmmm.Stop being defensive and look at objectively.

  11. As annoying as they are, in a way i envy the Mexican people for those of you who know what im talking about. They never spit on their country or dis each other with insults or petty jealosies. To the contrary, they support each other and will die for one another. Iknow it sounds off topic but how i wish dear Zambians could emulate that kind of spirit and patriotism!

  12. It is shaming how some bloggers here always want to bring others down. This only shows how low some people are.
If you have travelled you can’t compare manda hill and arcades with developed countries.
Lets try to be objective and think using our brain and apply common sense. This is why Zambia cant build proper infrastuctures and provide better services.

  13. I can’t withdraw, if you want just vomit. My point is those petty shopping malls thats what you Zambians have achieved. Be proud of your own children and don’t count your friend’s twins. And never tell me about travelling, I know where most of you live. Imwe mwafika mu America imwe ninshi bwacha? Mwembutushi mwe…

  14. some bloggers are so……..,what is manda hill, arcades oh please, just shut up and think how best our mother zambia can be developed

  15. Zedians are too proud for nothing. If we can just swallow even a quater of it, we would not be talking about this.

  16. I think development should be talked about not only in structural terms but in a lot of aspects. For some of us that have traveled the world, we can talk of development in several aspects. Health, Economy, Education, Social and much more.
What is Manda Hill/Arcades to me when I have nothing?

  17. Arcades – hahahahahaahehehehehe woooo that made my day. Those colonial muzungus that call themselves Zambians but have second passports didnt even bother to put ceiling boards in the sheds they call a shopping center. Then for the last 2 years they have had BLACK Zambians carrying bricks on their backs to build a crooked 3 level hotel.
Then Manda Hill – if it rains for two days you have to go do your shopping in a canoe. Once again the stupidity of these so called investors, trying to expand without a permit. The place looks like a dump site for the last 12 months.

Guys we have a long long long way to go before we can even match the compounds of the USA and UK.

  18. you have to hand it to Levy and Magande that they finally woke up to taxing the mines properly. $8,000/ton for copper is meaningless for Zambia if we dont see any of it apart from the PAYE of the grossly underpaid Zambian miner who risks his life so that a Canadian, Indian or Aussie shareholder can get wealthy. We will wait and see whether the Government puts these taxes to good use to some of the suggestions by Womba above

  19. Womba has raised some interesting points like the Chingola-Kitwe road conjestion and the structure being constructed few metres from the road. We hear of feasibility study to do a dual carriage way soon to be undertaken on the road but the same study was done at the time Ndola Kitwe was done. What has happened to the info. Someone somewhere should have given Zalawi a go ahead to constuct whatever structure few metres from the road. Im sure a lot of responsible people use this road and they have seen this structure coming up I wonder when they will raise some concern, may be as usual they want him to finish and then give a directive to pull it down like what normaly happens to illegal shanties

  20. Truly Zambian, whenever anyone tries to criticise their own country with the intent to improve it, zambians always insult the person. The problem is low expectations. And yes, zambia is dirty. Admit it. As soon as the drinks are finished you throw them onto the ground. Zambia is a huge rubbish dump. And zambians dont have any respect for their surroundings. If there is a bin, you would see a person throw rubbish right next to it.
Instead of sending icitenge to the bush to gain supporters, maybe the politicians can pause in stuffing money in their pockets for long enough to care about the people.
Instead of the Mpika Magistrate sleeping with AIDs ridden prostitutes he could

  21. zambians lets be serios manda hill and arcades are supposed to be in shangombo not in the capital city mwe bantu.

  22. prosecute the unneccesary bribe taking cops manning road blocks on both sides of town, impeading trade and development.
And maybe adult could stop sleeping with little girls. A christian nation, the only one in the world and you’ve got guys sleeping with abana for christ’s sake. Bakolwe wa kolwa, and look at the trouble they get into. Get a little pride in your country.

  23. mwe bantu I love zambia and because I do I hate seeing it so underdeveloped. Please bring constructive ideas to the blog.Zambias service delivery has gone from bad to worse. What do you the intelligentia out there say about this? how do we improve our country. Stop bragging about those little malls Manda Hill and Arcades. They will not bring wealth to zambia.

  24. #9 $ #12 even to a grade 7 will be insulting.a headless chicken can think far better than you.just compare your livingstone to chobe in botswana or even bigfalls town in zim.patriotism does not mean you sink too low to accept any wrong thing.if you are my former student at unza thinking like that,i would get worried.such thinking has made alot of us leave that place.its not just for money that people run away from their countries.mostly its because of such chaps like you.

  25. Womba, I hope you could stay in Zambia. We need your ideas and intellect not just speaking from a distance.
You are now enjoying other peoples sweat in the States, come back home and do something for your country. We have for along time been crying of brain drain, its people like you that we cry about.Come home tell what to do and how to do it.
    No hard feelings!

  26. #28 i for one tried and worked for many years but some people are still a let down my brother.sometimes you even try to pray, but prayers can not be answered…with leaders like pule!

  27. #28 Trully zambian what do you mean come back home? I’m a lone voice what can I do as a lone voice if I where to go back. I was a lone voice saying don’t disband ZCCM,I then thought my vote would count at one time but the Guy who distributed bags of mealie meal to a shanty compound had more of a voice than me. The zambian system doesn’t favour the intellectual, like #27 Dr chulu I left because of the mentality of some zambians. If I go back I have to go try to reason with some councillor or DA or whatever they are called. After waiting days for him to return from a poverty reduction seminar, and another hour for him to return from a funeral he’ll tell me theres no money.then what?

  28. It all goes down to bad attitude. The problem with us is we always think of begging from outside. Why don’t we just start even from our own limited resources?India has come a long way but they seem to be getting there.Their roads are still worse and filthy though.
There is always a starting point in life and in this Womba case someone can apply some safety measures e.g police escort or just making sure the tructs are driven at night when traffic is less.

  29. Its only when you go to Europe and stay in clean countries like Namibia, that is when you release who dirty Zambia is, I took my Namibian wife to Soweto market in December with all the water, she was shocked. Kabwata estates where I grew up those flats are so dirty with no water. I am very patriotic and proud being Zambian. But lets just address facts, we are not anti-Zambia. The buildings in Lusaka city centre, have not been renovated ever since I was born. Some times all what is needed is a new coat of paint-that’s all. Findeco house is the same, Society House, the smoke from the fire 15 years ago is still there, unplanned structures at Kamwala and on and on. Even my college Evelyn Hone is

  30. Learn to appreciate wht the country has achieved so far ,coz even in homes if u cant appreciate the small achievement then u wil kep on hurting and comparing yourself to others.the more u praise yourslf the more u work harder.Dont expose your country to the all world for them to know that zambia is jst one damm village ,no wonder foreign reporters only show the bad side of our country whenever they show to the world.am not saying nothing shld be done but atleast point out the beauty of our motherland ,i for one am proud of my country and i seen so many countries but sweet home is my zambia.

  31. Dont say bad things to womba. What he is saying are nothing but facts. You are telling him not to compare zambia to usa but can you even compare zambia with some of our neighbouring countries? Its a shame indeed.

  32. Zambia is still the Village.Unfortunately,Levy’s government has done nothing for the Copperbelt in terms of road network and the social welfare of the former mine townships. Please do not forget Chingola was the cleanest town in Zambia years ago.Its reallt a shame for the Levy’s GRZ.

  33. #34 lady Its because we don’t demand high standards that we settle for mediocrity. All of us Zambians love zambia but we want to see it develope so we can take our kids back there and raise them there.Do you think we love being foreigners in the strange lands we live? Home is home and I wish I could live there but it just isn’t practical.Wake up and smell the coffee. No wonder our countrys mines were sold for a song! All these Chinese, SouthAfricans ,Australians are making and taking so much money while you sing praises of how great Manda hill is!

  34. I agree with #34 that we must be proud of our mother Zambia. However, facts are facts and we must learn to accept them. Zambia has not done much in infrusture development since independence. Our cities and towns are still agree and lack the provision of adequate piped water despite having many rivers, streams and lakes. Liberia is almost a desert, does the country face serious water problems like us? If not, why?

The fact is our policy makers dont bother about making sound and deliberate policies to enhance specific sectors of our country. Zambia must learn to fully utilise science and technology to improve the living standards of our people not mere rhetoric.

  35. Zambia is still the Village.Unfortunately,Levy’s government has done nothing for the Copperbelt in terms of road network and the social welfare of the former mine townships. Please do not forget Chingola was the cleanest town in Zambia years ago.Its really a shame for the Levy’s GRZ.

  36. Like Kenedy said, ‘Don’t ask what the country can do for you, but what you can do for the country’.I give credit to bloggers here who’ve criticised and offered solutions, and mourn for those who just criticise for the sake of it. I agree with the issues Womba raised. The traffic and low safety measures on the chingola raod are wanting. Four years ago, itemised what that road needs, including the bridge at Mufulira turn-off which has been graded as a hazard for the last 5 yrs, and provided an attainable plan for making road a dual carriage way, and handed it to the authorities who had contracted me to do so. I guess the report is gathering dust somewhere, like anyother professional report mad

  37. made to our GRZ.I guess the solution as implied by some bloggers here is to just leave country, an become at best second class citizens!

  38. Yes man, migrating is the solution to Zambia’s problem. Each man for himself, God and country for us all.

  39. I think jelita wants to get married so that she can expireiance. It is unfortunately that no one tried to hook up our own lady in New york. However well come back someone will definately kiss u up,you are welcome zambia the real africa?

  40. I think womba wants to get married so that she can expireiance. It is unfortunately that no one tried to hook up our own lady in New york. However well come back someone will definately kiss u up,you are welcome to zambia the real africa?

  41. Womba’s description of current Zambia and Ndola/Chingola is unfortunately true. I was equally shocked to see whats happening now. Nobody ever mentions Chingola as the cleanest town in Zambia anymore
I took my wife’s car to the filling station only to realise that the price is above two dollars per litre and no one complains at all.
I decided to buy a bicycle to ride to work and quality from Chipata bicycle plant is so bad.
    Nawaoh I don’t tire

  42. Womba you are right. I support your comments on #26. I have advocated for dual carriage on this road. It will be even better with we did it from Ndola to Livingstone. Chipata to Mongu. Kapiri to Nakonde etc.

  43. we have wrong people runing our affairs zed is a very rich country
if we can have good pipo to run it just look at the resouse we have man power and all that it take coz i can see by much that yes we can

  44. Local authorities where are you? This is your time to make sure all is in order.Stop getting bribes from the Investors and keep it in your pocket say NO and protect our children and there children to enjoy the beauty of there country side when you are roting underground.

  45. In as much as our country has lagged behind in infrastructure development and other sectors of the economy, it cannot be true that each one who is dissatisfied with the status quo must leave the country. It is equally shallow for anyone to state that if you choose to stay, then you become a second class citizen. That is an insult to the many individuals who have chosen to pursue their careers in this country inspite of them possessing qualifications that can compete anywhere in the world. The prospects for a boom in the economy are there for all to see. The current govt is working hard to instil fiscal discipline so that resources are channelled to priority sectors.

  46. I agree with Womba. The difference between Zambians and Batswanas are as follow:
    1. Zambians are highly educated and knowledgeable.
    2. Zambians are talkative for nothing and they think they know
God more than other nations. Ni ba Danny Pule in short.
    3. Batswanas both men and women like sex publicly so much.
    4. Batswana marriages are not as strong as those of Zambians.
    5. Batswana women can lobby for sex from anyone other than their
    husbands.
    6. Batswanas are very good at implimenting whatever they come up
with i.e. national programs/projects whilst Zambians are mere
talk shops. The so called educated, no action oriented!!

  47. We need to continue being vigilant in order to break the bureaucracy in government then we shall see improved and quickened service delivery. The anti-corruption crusade must be appreciated, despite many misgivings it has instilled a sense of fear in those that handle public resources. I live in a Zambia that promises a better tomorrow and I know that we can have our paradise right here. The factors that drove many people abroad may not be the same today.

  48. it would be nice to say the truth. Its not true that she was travelling at 20km per hour beacause it was going to take he at least 2 hours and half to get to chingola. But i agree that the road has alot of truck and buses and truelly some careless drivers

  49. I cant believe anyone can support the level of development in this country. Unfortunatly some of the bloggers re so ignorant. Wen u come out of shoprite there re always boys tryin to help u carry stuff to the car for a fee. I use chingola-kitwe road 6 days a week and everything womba says is true. Chingola used to be once the cleanest town. Now its little bombay. Its not even about having traveld. Its about brains. U cal arcades nd manda hill development? Get a life!

  50. #9 and #14,u r a fool, how dare u condemn someone like that, pipo like u wud rather leave in a dirty enviroment,u shud travel to europe and america and c how roads are,for your information there are no gethos, womba dont even think of settling in zambia again, zambians start migrating and leave politicians alone to steal

  51. #58 you are correct dear, and i can now lower myself to educate people back home that most of my educated friends have no time even to post anything here.they have proved to the world that they can think, work and can not accept to be NOTHING.i wish those grade 7s to prove what they can do to the world.frankly at my level talking about development in chililabombwe, chabeshi, kalulushi.pliz dont lower my qualifications.october, kafue and zambezi girls go and go…dont think like #9

  52. Dr Chulu # 37 typical African PHD’s wanting to be identified as such even in a Village and then they have no solutions to Zambia’s problems.Even in church ..Am Dr. …..Come on.Your colleagues with PHDs in American NEVER tintroduce themselves as DR….ZAmbians…Africans and Titles…nsoni. Let another person introduce you as Dr.chulu not yourself

  53. #12 Mexicans you see in the US mostly live like impanya and are not educatded. They have one thing in common they cross the borders ga ba koswe. I am sure you have seen the documentaries no one can tell, on the other . They have no paper work to complain or make noise and in most cases use one social security number.
Comparing Zambians to Mexicans is a no brainer!!

  54. The thing that all the so called “patriots” should take into consideration is that no successful country worth it’s salt has adopted the “I don’t need to learn from anyone else” stance. Since people have brought up the U.S., the government there is always looking for ways in which to learn from other countries. If travelling and learning from others is such a waste, why is it that we are constantly subjected to footage on ZNBC showing ministers, etc, visiting other countries in order to “learn” from their success. Trust me, many of the ideas are there, there just isn’t the political will to match it.

  55. I am one of those living out of the country. Sometime I feel I could transfer what I see in my country of residence to my dear Z. We reaally have a long way to go. We still even fear death, when we all know it is our destiny.

  56. The Livingstone / Zimba road is a nightmare, plenty of pot holes on this mother road.I was driving yesterday from the Tourist capital to one of the towns nearby but after Zimba, the old men, boys, women and childrens where filling the pot holes and i could again and again stop and asked to pay any small fee towards the same.I spent about a 100,000 kwacha, because every corner you find a different group asking for money after filling the pot holes. The question is how many times will i pay these poor people? The GRZ should come in quickly and work on this mother L/stone / Zimba road, it is a pain. But i still congratulate the poor people for a wounderful job they are doing.Thankyou!

  57. Ok fine womba, you really expressed your displeasure at the fact that it seems thing are getting to the worst and the fact is this that the truth hurts but, I also hope and trust that you really mean well in your comments and that you look forward to being a part in the turn of events, not like the way you seem to appear, standing from a distance and discribe the hell in your own mind. But thanks for the guts, we need that at times.
    Rgds

  58. #58, Nyambe you are even the biggest fool. No doubt our cities are very, very dirty but stop leading others to give up on them. Look forward to a point when our cities will look like were you are.

    Kind regards.

  59. I think it’s time we introduced regional government in this country. Regions with resources should get a fair bit of tax to fix their roads, built water plants etc. The trend has been to get this tax and built mansions in Kabulonga. Viva regionalization!

  60. GRZ needs to something about our so called investors.Makeni main road and Linda main road have been messed up by Oriental Quarries but GRZ cant do anything about it because of the so called big guns in GOVERNMENT benefiting from oriental quarries

  61. Viva regionalism The Realist!! At least when we get there, we will no longer have power cuts in Southern Province where our major export is electricity! It is because of this stupid nationalism that you find the Kasama-Luwingu road nicely tarred and a nice bridge on the Kalungwishi in the middle of nowhere and yet as no. 64 laments, the road leading to the Tourist capital has a pothole oavery 60cm!!

    Shame.

  62. Call a spade a spade and not a big spoon. The fact is Zambian is dirty and no one cares. There is entropy where ever you go. Look at the residential area near the lepards hill cemetery, No sewer line, no tarred road, no piped water, no street lights, no nothing and yet that area is regarded as a high cost area. Shame on us. Uwushenda, atasha nina ukunaya ubwali.

  63. If the appearance of Copperbelt did not impress you at all, then woman ask yourself who’s to blame. It’s definately not only the councils to put the blame on. I have lived all my life in the UK but still go to Z for frequent visits but never felt ashamed of my own country. if you want Z to match up with developed countries, then GO BACK HOME FOR GOOD and apply the skills, knowledge and your fantasies there rather than critise the very same people who are trying to care for the country which you obviously, have abandoned. You should have first tried to use your common sense on this issue before nailing it on the keyboard and don’t be a coconut.

  64. tells us some news about the prsident…….soory im off topic but we need to know whats happeinig with him. we have the right to know the truth. why are they hiding the truth fro the pipo, why cant we know for heaven’s seck.
we need to know……….its our need and not our want.
batwebe fye ngati balifwa….we will accept tho it will be bad to lose a prrsindent still in service…..and atleast him, he is not like chiluba who store for his people. Mwanawasa cares…….i think.

  65. I recently travelled to Zed on a sad note. My kids and I couldn’t believe what happens on those Chipata roads(as you come from shoprite) just before dark, a million- trillion bicycle taxis with no rule of law, that is extremely harzadous, is that what you call development? no one can save the situation in Zed soon. My kids and I are here to stay! luv to visit though to enjoy those juiccccy mangoes!

  66. I am pleading to all those Zedians who pitty Zed to unite and go back home so that we can rebuild the nation and I promise to join you all soon as it has always been my dream. I first need to get a Zambian dual nationality in order not to be treated as a foreigner. I would also want to be a Zambian president someday.Unfortunately, I was informed that i would not qualify as I need to continously be residing in Zed for 10 yrs prior to standing for Presidency. This is sucks, as I just want to save my ancestrol country since the moto has always been ONE ZAMBIA, ONE NATION FROM ALL NATIONALITIES.Pleeeeease Lets lead the way for the future generation.

  67. #75, plse take heart. Heard dual citizen ship is soon to come to Zed. Up to you if you want presidentship.

  68. M.B.A Student (vs) B.E Student

This particular joke won an award for the best joke in a competition organized in Britain……

A MBA and a BE student go on a camping trip,

set up their tent, and fell asleep.

Some hours later, the BE wakes his MBA friend and says:

“Look up at the sky and tell me what you see.”

The MBA replies, “I see millions of stars.”

The BE asks, “What does that tell you?”

The MBA ponders for a minute..

    “Astronomically speaking,

it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.

Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo.

Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter pas

  69. Much as i love Zed, i cant wait to migrate and see the world in a different angle. Things are far from changing here like better road networks.

  70. Zambia used to be a very clean country until people who had no clue about running a country came into power and adopted the MAYENDELE attitude. What do you expect?

  71. I love Zambia tooooo much! I dont care what the economic refugees think! I usually travel to other countries on holiday with my family but emmigrating is out of question! I shall live and die in Zambia! Having been in Zambia all along, i know that we are making progress albeit at a slow pace! Some of my peers who live in the so called better countries do not even have a single piece of land anywhere! Viva Zambia!.

  72. Economic refuge or not, lets face it.
