Government to resolve UNZA problems

Share

Acting President Rupiah Banda said government is working to resolve the problem  that have rocked the  University of Zambia (UNZA) Great East Campus , where lecturers have insisted that they will not resume work until their demands are met.

UNZA was prematurely closed on July 30 following industrial unrests when lecturers demanded for a 15 percent salary increment. The lecturers have since declared that they will not go back to work when the institution re-opens on September 21 if their demands are not met.
Mr. Banda made the remarks on arrival from  Katete where he had gone to officiate at this years Kulamba traditional ceremony of the Chewa people.

The  Zambia Air force Plane carrying the Acting President touched down at Lusaka’s City Airport at 12:00 hours .
He was  met on arrival by Cabinet Ministers, deputy ministers and other senior government officials, Service Chiefs, MMD officials and several party cadres.

The  Acting President  was accompanied by Presidential Affairs Minister Cecil Holmes, Community Development Minister Catherine Namugala, Chief Government Spokesperson Mike Mulongoti and Local government deputy Minister Ben Tetamashimba.

  1. RB is president and all is waiting is to be sworn-in on November 1. Those agrieved should go and hang.. you jackals and unrepetenant non-patriotic wolves.
    RB 4 president

  2. HH for President: Real ray of change and hope, Zambians can believe in.

UNZA for HH and CBU for HH, hence Zambia for HH as President to solve all pertinent issues of of the UNZA and Zambian economy.

    HH waboola!

  3. # 9. I have no comflict with people outside zambia. all am saying is that you are merely ranting and you will not vote.why dont you bring the little money you have made in the dispora and assits our former first lady build house in Chilanga. VIVA BANDA.. ABASH economic refugees

  4. What happened to the 2 students whom the Zambia Police shot at UNZA?

The last time I heard about them was when HH paid for the two to be moved to high cost ward and be attended to by the UTH Medical Doctors.

  5. MMD presidential candidate Rupiah Banda becomes a ‘sugar-daddy’, distributing sugar and mealie-meal to women at Vulamukoko village in Katete last Friday

  6. sata has never been a fan of unza.. rb is still unip…hh is the only man that will bring hope to zambia.
he is the choosen one bane..hh forward..zambia forward

  7. What do ‘Sugar Daddies” do in life? Is it giving handouts? Is it getting very young girls (girl-friends)? Or what?

Some times the POST Newspaper Tiltes amaze me!

  8. Ths same RB cn only fool hs supporterz..wasn’t hs govt the one tht said thy wil nt give unza any more money?nw today they wnt to campaign by re-opening unza..al i knw is tht unza students wil be hapi wth tht news bt wil definately nt give hm a vote, thy ar too smart 4 such..he shud even stop sayin thy are goin to reduce fuel price,th price has gone down n the world mkt to $100 a barrel,

  9. #11 I am surprised you are able to use that laptop/PC.

You have cearly shown that you do not understand that the former firt lady will be built a house at a site of her choice. She will be getting a salary from the little money you pay as tax.

Blimey! Why would the former first lady need my little money? Grow up girl pants!

  10. 17 – When price falls on the market, it takes time for it to filter down just like it took some time for people to start feeling the pinch when the price of a barrell started to increase.

  11. #3 Mushala watever…your name sounds demonic and i can’t be amazed by yo irresponsible comment that defies the principle of humanism. ministers want abnomal salary increaments whilest functional UNZA lecturers jst ask 4 a pea nut and all u can say is a statement without a sense of humor. to hell with yo UNIP candidate.

  12. its about time they did. i just hope they find a lasting solution as opposed to having to deal with the same problem in the next couple of months.

  13. Why not give the University of Zambia (UNZA) lecturers the “Responsibility Allowance” they Constistutional office Bearers are trying to give themselves. The lectyurers are more responsible in bring development to Zambia trhough teaching and researching at the higher institutions of learning as opposed to those Constitutional workers who just listen to PC music in their offices and dish out SUGAR to villagers when elections ar around the corner.

VIVA UPND’s HH for UNZA and other higher learning nstitutions real development.

  14. It seems some of you missed the church service this morning, cursing as usual. Have you never heard of the sixth commandment? Keep the sabbath day HOLY!!!

  15. Which six commandment #24? The fourth commandment is one that has information about the SABBTATH – and that Sabbath was largely yesterday on Saturday although it satarted on Friday evening – Genesis 1: 5 + (King James Version) KJV Holy Bible.

Read Exodus 20 carefully and Hebrews 4 of the Holy Bible and do not let some false teachers cheat you – Matthew 24 and Luke 21.

  16. People, help me to understand how an Oposition President will perform with a minority in Parliament. HH has twenty something and Sata has forty something, together PF and UPND are still in the minority. Please enducate me on how HH or Sata will do if they won.

  17. If HH or Sata, as Zambia Republican President, fails to function, then he will have to dissolve the Parliament and call for New Presidential and General Elections – which will be a tricky case for the MPs because they might lose their parliamentarly seat.

So to avoid losing their parliamentary seat all the current MPs have to behave and work carefully with the New president from the Opposition if they hope to reach 2011 as MPs.

That is the best ans shortest answer to your querry #26. Have a blessed and good day.

  18. I was in the Villages of Bangweulu this morning listening to comments from community members over the comming elections. I tell U wina azalila zoona. Someone is going to upset what you persive to be normal and ba Post will be shocked. Zambia has outgrown regionalism. People have already settled for the man of their choice. No handouts or vote riging is going to work this time. Issue based voting will sway the minds of voters. Not even sensetional campaigning will work.

  19. Arrogance, crookedness, unrestrained incorrigible hatred and struggle for economic survival are ruining the Post Newspapers (Z) beyond recovery. In a blink of an eye, our dear friends are drowning and losing the appeal they have built over the years under MMD’s initiated and fostered Democracy. We cannot believe it that out of desperation and hatred, the post could use a caption of RB inspecting relief food for the Gwembe victims following a Disaster in the valley there. Disaster management Unit that delivered that support is under his office. Shamelessly they slot it in their front page insinuating that it was in Petauke.

  20. Typical of liars, they cook stories and run them in haste without verification. During this trip, the Acting President never visited Petauke district. He only visited Chipata and Katete where he attended the traditional ceremony of the Chewa people in Paramount Chief Gawa undi.Mukaika is not in Petauke but Katete. If anything, there is a long distance between katete and Petauke District.

  21. We think our dear friends at the post must slow down in hurting themselves. They should stop risking themselves with a belief that they are too strong a force, infallible, match making shakers and movers of the Zambian destiny. Time and fate may prove them typical simpletons self overrated far too long. They are free to stay a chosen self destructive course of jangle journalism, but posterity is bound to judge them” HARSHLY”.

  22. Hey, like it or not RB is Acting President until we have him sworn in on 1st November…sorry mwee. Well, 26, it will depend on how the opposition can woe other Mps from Govt. Even with a monority in Parliament they can form Govt, meaning they will have to cooperate with other opposition as well as MMD who would be opposition in that case. I guess it wud even be a better Govt as it will have checks and controls in Parliament not this politics we have at the moment where Parliament has become a rubber stamping institution.

  23. HH’s rivals watch out for the young man. Whilst you are busy shouting on top of your voices and giving handouts, he is busy digging into your bellies. I doubted his capacity but what I have CN in Luapula Rural has changed my mind. KAYA WINA AZALILA and UMBI AKAFWA NA SHOCK.

  24. MMD is winning this “must win election”. By far we are very much ahead of their plans, conspiracies and push for violence during and in the aftermath of the bye-elections. Patriotic peace loving Zambians will not plunge themselves in unrest at the peril of hateful and self deluded Marxist ideologues with natural hatred for free and democratic society. These are folks whose hatred for harmony and coexisting society is evident in their failure to build own strong families. None of them maintains own family beyond 2-3 years. Opposite to their dysfunctional families they assemble every 2 years, we love each other despite of differences in opinions.

  25. We know they are in delusion that they could rape our democracy and substitute it through coronation for self rational economic interest.

  26. Mwaiche Pafwenamwine,
Since you been ranting about the Kenyan option in the blogosphere of late, you and your accomplices in crime at the post newspapers, in a none-cryptic lingo be advised that Anarchists will unreservedly not evade the cost of their delusions. We love this country and her value for enduring peace dangerously. The enemy of her peace shall be systematically be destroyed wherever its deluded sanctuary is.

  27. #26,if the opposition wins u wil c hw many MMD mps wil defect, tht is a fact, and im sure the oposition wud apoint MMD Mps to cabinet and tht is an automatic plus 4 the party in govt..

  28. zambians in zambia that think we are not going to vote am sorry we are with you come october 30.We planned long time ago to vote.

  29. Good. Now my link is restored. Viva rb for reducing fuel prices by four pin across the board. Am now going flat out to campaign for you. Bless you rb. Thanks.

  30. #11 You are suffering in Zambia and you feel jealousy that we live abroad and are exposed to good things.Shame on you and your RB.You think buying pamela and kapenta is life!Continoue suffering!!

  31. # 24 Walasa. Some people need more than deliverance going by the high saturation level of their insults. How does one choose to relax after church with a pinch of insults surely?

And those of you who have any bone to chew with Zambians in the diaspora, can you please concentrate on relevants on this site please. Will share what little we have with you only after our 11 brothers and sisters we left home are fed and clothed fully!

  32. i was told that this blog was where one could get enlightened views on what is obtaining in our nation but my findings are it is about who is living well and who is suffering by virtue of leaving zambia. i think we need personal growth before we consider posting on LT

  33. Bwezani is a tribalist….This country deserves someone who will promote integration unfortunately non of the major candidates will promote that. But Bwezani is the acting president and for him to go EP and ask people to vote for him because his BIG norse hails from their is unfortunate and unbecoming of a leader aspiring for presidency. He is a shame not only to UNIP but the country as a whole and we should do our best not to let bwezani bring tribalism. This is the same syndrom cabbage was suffering from.

  34. Its HH all the way to oct 30. No Sata, Rb and his political machinisation team headed by Vernon Mwaaga and Mbita chitala with stooges in the name of Mike Mulongoti and oppoturnist Ben Tetamashimba!!! MMD Kuya Bebele Vote HH Zambians In Zed.

  35. imwe ba LT? wat do u meanby ‘ AM POSTING TOO MANY COMMENTS?’ that was my only comment in weeks.. and that’s not the first time am getting this error msg! mtchhhhhh! let me voice mt opinion

  36. After 44 years of self rule, the caliber of Zambian politics is nothing to be proud of. If Zambia have to come out of the leadership recycling the country has found itself in, the country seriously needs to overhaul and realign the current political system. For as long as we remain with the status quo, the question of “who will succeed who” each time we have a presidential election will not go away. We need a system that can develop leaders with time, and can easily be identified when need be.
The truth is even when you look at the three candidates contesting the presidency, none of the three can or will bring the kind of development or change the country currently desperately need. They ar

  37. Ok ba RB, now help our fellow Zambian students in Russia who r suffering there. They need their allowances. They stopped complaining of racism, its now hunger.
Permanent secretary & putin in russia, where are you guys?

  38. 8 and 9 you should think first before you talk how can you say that RB chalo chonse , any way bad that am not home voting ,piop like you will not do anything in life apt from boot liking

  39. LT, are you ever going to give me the Zed flag? Am in Zambia! Last week u gave me Bush’s flag, the other week u gave me Mugabe’s, am sure 2moro u r going 2 give me Borat’s! Is it all about ISP proxy server?

  40. the post have shown that they have had a political agenda for a long time. Even levy once adviced meembe to join the political race and throw away his pen. They seem to like feeding on other peoples misery. Chiluba,Sata and many others. Now it is RB. They think that they have the mandate to endorse who to rule Zambia. NO WAYS Ba NKUSA..a

  41. What is in RB for the People of Zambia. It is not enough for RB to just say Levy’s Vission. Levy’s was not generally accepted so what?

  42. The adoption of RB is a clear indication that we as a nation are mad!!! We woke up the late Levy to come and rule and now we have handed the Presidency to someone who has just come back from political wilderness!!

  43. I didnt know that the Post can also lie just to justify a point. Who told them that 43%of Zambians speak Bemba!! The truth is over 70% of Zambians speak or understand a bit of Nyanja. It is also not true that Lozis constitute 8 % and Tongas only 17% of Zambian population. The biggest tribes are Bemba, Tonga, Lozi, etc, in that order!! These are just basics which the Post choose not to know! They could have done better without figures!! The Post should apologise for misinforming the people.

  44. Everybody who’s an economic refugee should not even talk about what Zambia needs to do- that’s disgusting- go home and start a revolution instead of working menial jobs abroad if you’re not going to school to better yourself. Ignorant ppl talking too much crap over here. Yes I’m in the US now- but I’m home January- with a job offer haterz….I’m taking the battle home.

  45. #57…i also wonda,RB’s wish for prezido is based n sum1 else’s dreams.he himself neva evn thot of being there in hs 71yrz of being n earth..he dosent hav a plan wat so eva of hmself

  46. well good luck to u # 60 ifwe we here to stay! hate it or luv it…i gat 7 more months of school and best beleive im getting a job here!!!

im not ready to work for stupid RB!

  47. 34! Eyes of an eagle please tell us more.., i waz in Nangoma central prov the place has gone HH! for sure wina aza lila., HH is impressing me

  48. Free education up to university, that is why it is always closed, make it independent, make these riotus, students pay for their education and there will be enough money to pay these poor lecturers.
Give them student loans payable when in employment and not bc, this will make them responsible enough and make them stop stoning people`s cars and rioting at will.

  49. Mwanawasa/Sata before I die.

When it dawns on people that they are about to die and to join the spirit world they devolt their remaining days to attaining positive achievements.

After Levy Patrick Mwanawasa survived a road accident while serving as VP under FTJ, it dawned on him that he had a view years left on earth, hence he convinced, encouraged and motivated himself to expedite working on positive things so that he should leave a positive legacy and be rendered hero after his passing on. The rest is history.

It has dawned on Sata that before he passes on he must expedite working on positive things. He has told himself “everyone deserves a second chance, hence Michael go further

  50. I FEEL PITY FOR THE POST NEWSPAPER…THEY HAVE CALLED SATA NAMES, THEY HAVE CALLED HH TRIBALIST AND THEY DONT LIKE RB….BUT THE THREE ARE THE ONLY CANDIDATES ON THE PLATE…NOW BA POST WHICH ONE OF THESE DO YOU SUPPORT…DONT PREACH THEORIES JUST COME OUT IN THE OPEN WHICH ONE!!!! BECAUSE ONE OF THESE THREE WILL SURELY BE PRESIDENT…JUST LIKE ME AND McCAIN????

  51. guys guys wake up..no need to call pipo who are outside zambia names..its now a global village. if you have serious skills like me even a white man will salute you..so why stay in zed and suffer when i have brains..why so if you happy to be ruled by Sata or RB well and good….good luck FROM ME THE CITIZEN OF THE WORLD.

  52. SATA FOR PRESIDENCY.HES THE ONLY ONE TO TAKE US WHERE WE BELONG.RB GOES EAST TO PROVE HIS TRIBALISM.THIS UNIPIST SHOULD NOT BE VOTED FOR.UNZA AND CBU FOR SATA

  53. The bias and hate is amazing on this blogsite. First you question what vision of his own RB has but immediately he starts telling you what he will do i.e fuel price reduction, cash transfer system expansion to all districts, solving UNZA problems etc you start screaming why he did not do that earlier. ANSWER he was then not captain of the ship and now he is. Can you fault the initiatives he will be taking?

  54. INSASA SHINYA UBULANDA! USE THIS PAGE FOR EDUCATION AND GOOD IDEAS. NOT FOR COMMENTS OUT OF LINE! SOME OF YOUR COMMENTS ARE SO LOUSE THAT I CAN NOT EVEN VOTE FOR YOU TO BE THE MP FOR KALIKI LIKI COMPOUND..MULAPEPA FI DOBO!!!!!!!!

  55. pliz what can RB give usthe man really has no vision like mwanawasa had,o wat sata has..as 4 h.h pliz y wud u put an arrogant man who thinks his economics can rule zambia,we need a politician,a leader with legitimate and referent source of power not a luckyman like RB or a man who thinks he knows everythink [h.h]..lets jst vote 4 a man that wud give us sonething even his history can be admired..give sata a chance.sata 4 prezo.

  56. #64, I was also in Nangoma(Kasalu) the whole of last week. True, pipo there want HH. Where did u go exactly? I still think VJ wil do his dirty work.

  57. No 64 said “i waz in Nangoma central prov the place has gone HH! for sure wina aza lila., HH is impressing me”. Does No 64 not know that in 2006 Nangoma voted HH and a UPND MP? Do 64 and 77 not know that the majority of voters in Nangoma are Tonga? Nangoma being for HH does not therefore represent any gain or move forward for HH. I think you are rather clutching at straws there.

  58. 77# i waz at Nangoma hospital was on a work trip.. i happened 2 witness HH hold his rally. pipo frm as far as Mumbwa & mwembeshi were ccycling 2 c HH.

  59. No. 68 the last political contest in Western Province was a ward by election in Kaoma. The results from two months ago tell the story:- MMD won with ULP coming in a close second. The surprising third placed was PF followed by UNIP, bringing up the rear was UPND. Fantasy and reality are quite often not the same. The people of Western Province have not forgotten how HH treated Sikota and others from other tribes at the UPND convention. The “monkey on his back” is clear for all to see. UPND and HH can forget about Western.

  60. UNZA’s problems will never be resolved by them fools. aren’t they who closed it in the first place?
ohh, hey see elections now. i get it. another fake promise

  61. If Zambians wil vote on merit nxt month,no doubt HH will win.He has what it takes to b President in the 21st century. We surely deserve the best.God will deliver this great nation of ours.

  62. # 60-Truth
If you are an economic refuge, don’t jump to the conclusion that so is everyoneelse. Just finish what you are doing in the USA, come home and join us and put your knowledge to use.

  63. CAUTION: This is only for serious bloggers.
*If we intend to chande govt for sake of just changing,Sata might be the man as he has more support than HH.
*If we are for continuity with a not-so-clear outlook, Rb is your man
*If we are to gamble with a political light weight, who on the other is a proven economic manager, HH is your.

Which way do we go dear Zambians?
Sata’s political history is well known, can we trust him based on it or is it the “Born again” sata we are supporting,in which case we know very little.
Rb’s history we partly known and we are getting to know more(he might be his own man like LM proved)
Or should we go HH’s corparate history.

  64. Please bloggers post your comments based on merit as No. 83 suggests above. Tho i remember him insulting me the other day(if it isnt you my apologies).
And could somebody hook me up the Sata web link, and also for the others if they have, that is.

  65. It seems HH is popular on this blog more than other candidates. Why?The way bloggers are debating HH is the same way i found students at CBU debating him 2 days ago.Thats healthy.

  66. its also of great importance to go by the charater, morality, testimony, past archievements and back ground.which of the three [RB,SATA,HH]we as zambians think is quarified.
some one’s legacy is not easy to be upheld by another
person.we need someone with a long term and thought out
vision.not one who would like to take advantage at the expence of another person’s demise.

  67. No 39 claims MPs would defect to opposition. This did not happen in Malawi where there is minority government. All they had was crisis for months without passing budget. Only when Mutharika threatenned to bring in army in late August this year did Parliament in fear pass the budget. Do we need situation where we need to rely on threat from army to rule? Lets not take a roll of the dice or engage in Russian roullette. Lets be patient for 2011 when we can vote for both President and MPs.

  68. BA RB CHALO CHONSE.SATA ONLY COPPERBELT. HH ONLY IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE . IF U CANT BIT THEM JUST JOIN THEM.TRY IN 2030 VIVA MMD.

  69. I dont know why we shld even scratch our heads as to whom we shld vote for.The puzzle is simple and straight forward. If we want the best deal as a nation,HH is the way to go.For midiocre leadership,Sata is the way to go.For 19th century leadership,RB is the way to go.Choice is yours.

  70. Which corporate manager kept Ramcoz workers in misery? Which corporate manager robbed Sun Hotel workers of their 10% service charges? Which corporate manager closed down most Barclays Bank branches arround the country and sold of their properties when he was chairman of Barclays Board only to have Barclays three years later operating from make shift shelters in the same areas where they closed shop and sold of their properties? By the way, I am not talking about Gordon Brown the corporate manager who has lamentably failed to lead.

  71. # 93,you couldnt have said it better.I totally i agree. The only problem in Zed is that we not experienced 21st century leadership so we dont know what we are missing.HH these elections r yours to win.

  72. Observation>>This blog is full of Tongas (18%) of the population…

Conclusion>>>Its either HH is truly popular or his tribesmen make the most noise..(loudest)..a kama party with all MPs from one tribe and then dream that their childish tribeman can be president of 72 tribes..what a shame

    Recomendation>>>kulipima first otherwise..Muzolila badaala come 31st October..

  73. In the morning,i said that Sata adandoned rally as he continiously chocked & coughed. Some PF blogger insulted me for saying the truth.LATEST is that Sata was briefly hospitalised at an undiclosed clinic today (INTELLIGENCE).

  74. After my pst i like the way you guys are coming out on this issue,
but do you honestly(and i mean HONESTLY)think it is realistic for either Sata or HH to get the requisite 50 plus 1%?
Because whether you like or not, some zambians especially those in the rural areas will vote on tribal lines.
Given this scenario, and with state machinery on RB’s side, isnt Sata and HH giving RB the Presidency on a silver platter if they dont team up.

  75. #97 u must be some sweating a%^& in the zed embassy somewhere(kuyabebele)
Sata was in luangwa yesterday and had a huge rally..To prove to you that you are a liar of the worst kind..Sata’s rally was live on QFM radio and I heard him complete it to the end. Check his website for the pictures..WEMBUA WE!!! Just ask your candidate to give us his HIV test. Sata has two negative certificates… SIMAZIII YEBO…

  76. #96,the fact that am Tonga does not mean most bloggers are Tongas.I jst observed tht HH was popular on this blog so is he in the streets coz evry1 seems to be debating about him more than others.Check the opinion poll on ZAMBIAONLINE.COM.

  77. No. 100 go back and check the 2006 opinion polls and see how wrong they were. The polls towards the end had Mwanawasa behind and he won! Only a scientific poll can tell you what the true picture is.

  78. #99,vry interesting.Am sure you’ll only realise that Sata was sick when is 6fit in the grnd heh?Its not a secret that my Pres Sata is sick.We all saw what happened to Mazoka & LPM (MHSRIP).The earlier we realise & act,the better for us.

  79. Guys, every 5 postings on this blog is on HH.I can also conclude that this boy HH is popular & bloggers cant avoid him.Niye wo votela wa mene uyu.

  80. # 4 Gwete – I know the feeling when you have never been to UNZA. You cannot comprehend what the fuss is with UNZA and truth besaid; UNZA is just that – UNZA.

  81. UNZA?? where is all the money zambians have been saying is available in zed, that its a better country and bla blah blah and if it still takes 10 years to get a degree due to closure. The smart ones better do like i did and get on that plane headed for ATL… school here is much better.

  82. UNZA thugs need to be tought a lesson. Now why do you morons rush to breaking our cars when ever you are not paid your 300 pins.May be leaving you like that for two years is even more helpful.Do you know what it takes for an average zambian to find money to buy a vehicle you fools.Me am very happy.Infact you require to be whiped .I miss the late Wazakaza Nguni.Where do find intellectuals behaving like babarians

  83. Do what you can RB to assist our brothers and sisters at UNZA.Dont worry about yo position you are already a Republican President just waiting to be sworn in.Sata wont get it bcoz he was not democratically elected as PF president, they (PF)have never gone for convention,HH is not popular,he is popular in SOUthern,WEStern and NORth western maybe.

  84. # 25 /26. Don’t worry of what the opposition will do with the minority MPs once in office. What u should know is that we need an intelligent and visionary focused leader to quietten all those who just yap in parliament for the next three years and HH is the man. He is able to raise the stds such that some MPs will fail to comment uselessly like it is today in Zambia. Only those with really issues will be talking. don’t fear. People will talk every nonsense when standards fall. After all he will be in control. No fear mwana.

  85. why should we go behind with the old when all these years Zambis has been developing brains. When are we going to respected internationally with the likes of RB. We don’t want a yes bwana. We want a leader who will speak for his people and be heard.

  86. Uncle X
RB unlike Sata is an internationalist. He has the intellect and tact of a state head. He has the education and experience.Sata is just a police constable while RB is an economist/international career Diplomat. He served Zambia well at the UN as permanent representative, Ambassador to the US in DC and many missions.Sata is filled with insults only in his head.Do you remember his incidence at the world health Abuja Abuja that led to Chiluba vowing never to send him on the internation platform on behalf of Zambia ever?

  87. UNZA must be shut for good and turned into a hospital. The only meaningful courses at that institution are: Education, Medicine, Agriculture, Vet medicine and maybe electrical engineering. These can still be offered at other colleges like Nkrumah, NRDC, NORTEC and Ridgeway. Otherwise most courses offered at that institution must be scrapped off. They’re a waste of public resources. They have crazy courses like library studies, invertebrates, zoology, socialogy, cognitive psychology and all that crap. Government should divert all funds to CBU – at list that university makes sense.

  88. VIVA hh he is the only man of the moment. No normal person can vote for Satan or RB without being bribed with money, position, or on tribal grounds but hh can be voted due to good programmes and love. He is not corrupt like RB who intimidated all the volters during MMD NEC. All those suppoting him just fear for their jobs. Abash old MONISTERS AND BABOONS. viva hhhhhhhhhhhhh.VIVA progress and modern politics.

  89. The POST is dull.
There intention is not to camgaign for RB, but that is what they are doing everyday.
At one time, they claim he is unip, and later they say no he is not unip. This makes people feel he is so much on demad the both MMD and UNIP want him. This is making RB very popular, which in my view is very good.
Mmembe has been beaten and left behind in terms of psycology by RB. Mmembe thinks he is sharp, but RB is sharper than him.
Mmembe wants RB to respond to his petty issues and now he is crying fawl because RB has said his does not dwell on petties. Sorry Mmembe, if you want querrels try SATA; am sure there you will succeed. Not RB; that is not his lifestyle.

  90. Our Zambian Uni. problems can only be solved if/when the government stops appointing politicians to head such important institutions of higher learning. Appoint intelligent (high calibre) individuals to manage these instititions in partnerships with private companies/organisations.

  91. iwe number 112 tonga bull, do u have a case agaisnt unza. have you been through its books to really understand what it offers. maybe unza guys denyed u a bursery thats why you are so bitter.improve your GCE o levels then u will be eligible for bc & stick to relevant points.dont parade your ignorance!!!

  92. #97 You are SADIST LIAR, Presdo Sata is busy holding Rallies after Rallies every day, you are busy lying day in and day out on this blog! YOU ARE INDEED PATHOLOGICAL LIAR!

  93. #117 Ba Unza Moma or is it Unza Open. I have no case against UNZA – that forsaken institution. Iwe ka moma should travel. Those courses at UNZA belong to the jurassic era. Of what good is cognitive psychology or philosophy to Zambia. The economics they teach at UNZA sucks – it was copied from the eastern block. CBU is a better placed institution and I’m one of it’s proud graduates. Ati UNZA my ass.

  94. #112 CHECK YOURSELF MYBE YOU WENT TO A BASIC SCHOOL AND ALL ABOUT YOU IS BASIC KNOWLEDGE…HOW CAN YOU SAY LIBRARY STUDIES IS CRAP..UKUKULILA KUMUSHI AMFWAINE.

  95. HH to outline his campaign strategy tomorrow at Mulungushi International Conference Centre. Go HH, Gooooooooooooooooooo

  96. HH is a villager with village mentality – not fit to be a Presdo of a progressive country like Zed! He will just conjested our roads Ng’ombe Ilede!

  97. #98
Going by the last elections, it was people from the urban areas that voted on tribal lines (voted for sata) and not our honourable friends from the rural areas that voted for LPM. Let us thank the people in the rural areas for critically analysing issues, thus saved us from the jaws of Sata.

  98. No# 112,explain to us what library studies is[what is involved]so that we know what makes you think it shud nt be ofad @ UNZA. Otherwise, we may surely think U are an ill-trained graduate from CBU who does nt appreciate the contribution of the many courses to the well being of humanity.

  99. I don’t blame UNZA lecturers for the problems at campus. Would you enjoy having a reduction in salary after it has been given to you? This is what happened there. An agreement was signed witnessed by Lungwangwa’s people and MOF, then Lungwangwa turns around to claim they went off limit. Shame on Lungwangwa!

  100. Breaking news: Sata endorses HH – ” Ine ninkota.” “Saleni Umwaiche Ukwete amaka.” (See www .hakainde. com for details)

For the first time in my life I can now move proudly as a Zambia for Hon. Sata has done a good and great Job. He can now work under HH without me getting worried.

Vite UPND’s HH for economic independence. Let us now see what the Sata supporters on LT will write about HH.

  101. There is a lot of unsavoury conservatism and fear of new men and
their progressive ideas. Why do we, in Zambia, keep hiding behind leaders from the jurrasic park?

  102. This is my personal view. Aspiration for presidency is long lived dream, someone does not just rise from nowhere and say he will be president, leading more than 12million lives. people of the country,i pity you, this is what we can see with our naked eyes.with MMD back in office the rich will continue jiving whilst the poor will continue with their sorrow. is it not less than 3months when MMD was saying that the will never increase meal allowances for students? So many issues they have failed to address – are we blind not to see that our country needs economical stability?

  103. Sata for president, whether u like it or not nothing will stop him this time. we are tired of selfish politicians. we want a man of ACTION..

  104. The realm of politics in Zambia is now getting interesting. Notwithstanding, I long for the day when Sata shall wrest the reins of power from corrupt elements and steer this great nation to prosperity. He definitely has what it takes, and that is forcefulness and the ability to relate to the poor. Go for it Sata!!!
