It’s a fabrication- State House

Share

State House has denied media reports suggesting that the ten people who have been arrested for staying at a lodge in the Zambian capital, Lusaka without paying, were offered jobs by President Rupiah Banda.

Chief Analyst for Press and Public Relations Dickson Jere has described a story in Tuesday’s edition of the Post Newspaper alleging that President Banda offered the impostors jobs, as a total fabrication meant to bring the name of the President into disrepute and ridicule.

Mr. Jere told ZNBC in a statement that State House does not have any member of staff by the name of David Banda who allegedly made bookings for 26 passengers to travel to New York.

He said State House does not make travel arrangements for persons appointed to the foreign service.

Meanwhile President Banda has sent a message of condolences to the Bemba people of Kasama District on the death of Chikwanda Changu Ng’andu, son of the late Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.

President Banda said he learnt of the untimely death of Chikwanda with a deep sense of loss and sorrow.

This is contained in the President’s message addressed to Northern Province minister Charles Shawa.

  1. State house cant agree. the truth is these people have even relocated to Lilayi lodge pending departure to the states. Another family tree

  2. It is true, may be Ba RB has just forgotten since they told us that he remembers easily(opposite of remember). :-j:-j:-j.He has not yet fulfilled most of the promises.

  3. Something fishy here. If the post made such a wide accusation the government can take them to court where all details can be reviewed and witnesses questioned. But the fact that theres a press statement just denying the facts may actually show there is some truth to the matter. The presidents character has been defamedwhy not take them to court if the president is really innocent

  4. “Meanwhile President Banda has sent a message of condolences to the Bemba people of Kasama District on the death of Chikwanda Changu Ng’andu, son of the late Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.”

Condolences to the Chief Chitimukulu family on the loss of the son. May the Soul of Chikwanda Changu Ng’andu rest in peace.

  5. The chief has no comment since the alleged imposters are friends but will wait for the outcome of the court case.

  6. On the “State House has denied media reports suggesting that the ten people who have been arrested for staying at a lodge in the Zambian capital, Lusaka without paying, were offered jobs by President Rupiah Banda”, why is GRZ especailly State House always reacting to some shame news?

Please, learn to show us normal and well-meaning Zambian Citizens that you current President RB Banda Administration are in control. One of my Indian friends here advised me some time ago that the first rule in politics is that “you do not have to react or answer to everything that comes your way from wherever” e.g. the Undereducate MC Sata, his Imagebuilders the POST and other news media.

  7. We are missing some thing here may be they were promised before election now he is in Plot 1 he forgot what he promised his bluluz and friends.Expect more of this comedy from Nyama Soya.
If you are among those who were on list to have a bite forget it. He was just charfing you.(It was told but Never written)

  8. i agree with u Maestro, GRZ is quick to respond to petty issues and wil keep his mouth shut on matters of importance most of the time

are you sure these chaps are in lilayi? then something has to be unveiled, but RB ali bad, akana babululu sure!!

who is David BANDA in these accusations??

  10. Well it is called quiet diplomacy where you forego the rules of engagement. You avoid direct confrontation, well more aptly put avoiding to clearly and directly owning up to the fact that you are responsible the easiest to do it is simply display ignorance…..

  16. How did these diplomats start off from their homes (in Ndola) without appointment letters? Let them show us their appointment letters. And how can they start off for their diplomatic postings with their families. I thought they should have come to Lusaka initially for their orientation then they proceed to their destinations alone. They may come back later to get their families. Something fishy!!!8-}:-t@-)

  27. In politics, it is never true unless it has been denied. There might be some truth in this and some immaturity in the way it was handled. If this David Banda is the David Banda who was once sponsored by Mpelembe and was nearly deported from the UK, then he is very capable of conning people like that. But, I know what it is, there was something planned but failed to take off due to some premature revelation or immature implmentation by the likes of Mulongoti or other people who were against it. Bwafya – poltics of poverty. Magistrate ashya inchito ati ndeya ku Mangalande. The grass is always greener the other side – NOT always true!! Life ku mangalande is NOT as good as you think! Tough!!!

  28. #18 Foxy, 23 ndolic, 31 JacK Bauer and 68.
Nice points you all.The POST has been imagebuilding the Undereducate since the last Presidential elections event to an extent of trying to show all Zambians that the man would win through terrible opinion polls that failed to yield their goal, thank God (Our Creator) the better MMD GRZ that won though narrowly.
On the writings about Sata/PF,I even won an LT 2008 Award as I responded to my questions that were advanced to me regarding issues and also impersonators who sought to destroy my noble name only ended up giving me the many submissions I got to LT through their use of my name. In the end, I thank God for everything especially the experiences.

  29. #68..I know that david banda..is he the 1 who is now at state house?I thought he was with KCM in chililabombwe.Didn’t read the article yesterday..so basically who are the people in question?where are they supposed to travel to?New york?In what capacity?Kindly enlighten.

  30. They just got the example from “some people in the Third World who lodges in State Houses” and hangs on to what is theirs and pretend that to be offically legitimate!!!

  31. The post’s lies are very unprofessional and pathetic to say the least. Since when did Statehouse start handling Government officials’ itineraries? And when did things change that Diplomats would be appointed and posted in missions without undergoing the Diplomatic corps intensive classes at NIPA?Is is evidence that when hatred and lies overtake your life, you are clouded out even on simple logic. Just how these diplomats go present their credentials to the hosting nation Governments without certificates issued and recorded at NIPA and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Can the post pull all these records and publish them?

  32. #72, do you know the David Banda I am talking about? He was never at state house but has always been loafing after being fired for neing such a drunkard. He was almost deported from the UK but we helped him. I hope he is not the one at the centre of this.

  33. jamaco there’s no need to be pasting the names of your favourite beers and polish food here because that’s not relevant to us.your favourite drink could be urine and believe me i wouldn’t give a s**t.don’t turn this blog into your diary.you can feel as blessed as the pope but please just stop pasting your personal garbage!!! :-l:-l:-l

  34. #83, spot on. That is the david banda I know as well. Shame on the young man really. Is he still alive? Wasted talent in real terms.

  35. The problem is that some people think that The Post Newspaper tells the gospel truth – NO, NO, NO …— that is the biggest problem. The Post twist information to suite their agenda at any one particular time.

  36. Nobody who thinks positively can ever take the reporting by the post to be objectively objective. They give you an insight but with their caveat on the side. So always read between the lines and you find the truth somewhere in between. These are the tools of analysis we used to learn and I think most of you learnt this when you were being taught comprehension ka. Only Chiluba and Sata never learnt this bit – that is why they are so backward these two. I feel pity for them because now they are fighting – fighting for what – their time is gone and they will never have a chance to govern zambia anymore. Sadly Not even their Children.

  37. @84 as long as you do not claim this Site to be yours!!! Anything goes!! No Cencoring my dear!! Even you will know the benefits of free Media when you have been around. So keep cool and deal with it!! Again Feel blessed!!

You have not even contributed to the heading yet!:-?
What makes you so Bitter :o:-?

  38. Please forgive RB, his has forgotten he appointed these people, his 71 years old please. Thats what we stack with either old or unhealth politicans, sorry ba Zambia; sorry for you

  39. iwe jere you also know the whole story nomba kaili banda ni boss so its to defend him to keep your job…banda shud be serious also,he’s too dull guess its old age cozing everything, hope the grand child (thandi)is taking care of him….

  40. One of his relatives in the group obviously opened his/her big mouth and now Banda is obviously trying to cover up. He better put people tax money to good use, otherwise he should be very scared when judgment time comes. 😉

  41. #15

Just talk about the matter at hand, why should you talk about Sata and call him undereducated? well I know that even your father is not a Professor! As educated as you are,may be you dont even have a job. Sata the one you call undereducated is far much comfortable in terms of living while we rot with our degrees!

  42. Government controlled & state owned state house mouthpiece (spokeperson) & ZNBC refuted the allegation and calls it a fabrication. well parade all concerned not selectively, so that we hear their side of the story. As some one said he smells a cat. I say I smell a very huge elephant. This story wont be covered up! Lets put pressure the Bulaya Kashiwa like case. We the masters should dictate not our employees the politicians. 😕

  43. Why are the names of the 21 people that were booked for New York not published? Or why are they not interviewed on TV for everyone to see?

  44. Post or no Post these people have been caught. So lets wait for real reasons why they came. GRZ can not be expected say yes they the mans relatives. Remember even a magistrate and a senior police officer were among the group.

  45. # 86. The Problem. The Post’s agenda is to dig deeper, period! Kunyaula nkhani nakufikisapo, osalekeza pakati.

  46. Ba Dickson Jere from rugs of Matero to riches of working at state house. No wonder such behaviour of pomposity mwana wanga. Ku kana tate wako kuti ni taxi driver? wake up boy no blessings for you

  47. It’s in point of fact a great and helpful piece of info. I’m satisfied that you shared this helpful info with us. Please keep us up to date like this. Thanks for sharing.
