  1. Nice pictures. Is that a Kitchen or public toilet in pic 11 its hard to tell the difference.Surely even caveman thousands of years ago had better facilities.

  2. Kabwe Kamushi with Chimbwi as the mayor (what a name) GRZ has got no strategy whatsoever of developing other towns. Where tar roads in residential areas existed in Kabwe they are no more. Residents are even saying its much better now. My heart was filled with sorrow and eyes tears. Zambia is going nowhere guys. Let not people lie to you. Nowhere nowhere whatsoever

  3. Pa kabwe pa lauzi, still a ghost town. surely that building pa Nkrumah looks more like a public toilet than a kitchen. what a versity it will be.!

  4. Good use of the rule of thirds on the dandy crazy pic and incredible shutter speed on the frozen in the ar pic . Get a zoom lens for the sports shorts to avoid out of focus pics with too much noise

  5. imwe what kind of a kitchen in the 21st centuary is that? its not even fit to be called a pigs or poutry house. Jesus why do we even care to vote honestly

  6. Impressive especially the football.

    Psalm 16:
8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

  7. Ka kitchen is more like a public toilet at Nkrumah, what a versity it will be. Kabwe still a ghost town people using such vans for transport.

  8. Initially, I thought pic 11 was a toilet, util after I read the text below. Quite sad for Kabwe. By the way is the Minister of Central Province in a position to do anything about this city? After all, it is the capital of the province? Maybe……

  9. Kabwe Mayor looks very smart and dignified,he has an air of confidence about him….wish him the best..

  10. Due to the the high lead content in the atmosphere, Kabwe is one of the world’s most polluted towns. We need to find a balance between economic development and the threat of environmental hazards.

  11. # 14 you will get a response from him starting with “on your Maestro Hakucincha , how about copying and pasting the pictures before u comment….

    Prevention is better than cure….

  12. Picture No 2 is that car really road worthy. Ala pa Zed people are just surviving not living. Too much of that Kabwe thing.

  13. #2, bob doe,

Please am waiting for the apology from you for accusing me of COPY and PASTE in the other thread. You have no evidence, so please apologize to me!

  14. #20 -22 – Paste Maestro Hakucincha must be away from the keyboard or he would have responded already. Or he is making one big copy/paste collage for all of you! He told me yesterday (after pasting my comment) that he is a preacher in Stuttgart.

  15. Nkhrumah Teachers’ training College in Kabwe to be a University? Come on chaps, let us be serious? Two universities in a ghost town?? University to train teachers or to train ghosts?? You have so many degree holders without jobs in Zambia. They have the skills, all they need are pedagogic skills to become teachers. Give then afew months training and they can become teachers.

  16. #26 Connections – Is that Paste Master’s real name or did you make it up? I am outta here before he comes back!

  17. During the independence festivities only one noted Zambian failed to share in all the harmony. He is Edward Mukuka Nkoloso, a grade-school science teacher and the director of Zambia’s National Academy of Science, Space Research and Philosophy, who claimed the goings-on interfered with his space program to beat the U.S. and the Soviet Union to the moon. Already Nkoloso is training twelve Zambian astronauts, including a curvaceous 16-year-old girl, by spinning them around a tree in an oil drum and teaching them to walk on their hands, “the only way humans can walk on the moon.” – Time Magazine, circa 1964

  18. #31 Connections – I found the above article #32 and a video online. it was in Time Magazine in 1964. Its very interesting, I have never heard that Zambians wanted to go the Moon before. If Paste Master Hakucincha is Mr Nkoloso for real, I would like to meet him. He is a very interesting person. The video of the astronauts’ training is mmm hilarious! I would urge everyone to see it.

  19. Picture #11 powerful, powerful, powerful, although the kitchen looks shoddy and in old age, it has seen great men and women pass through the walls on Nkrumah. it produced the best fried chicken in Kabwe( hope it still does). Hope ba “Special” is still commanding the ever hard working cooks at Nkrumah. because of that kichen there was a saying only found in Nkrumah that goes ” there is no smoke without chicken”. each time there was some smoke in that kitchen, the chances of having chicken were always 100%. VIVA NKRUSU.

  20. #1. iwe ka Ciroc, grow up and stop being stupid.
#2. iwe naiwe ka Bob Doe, stop exergerrating, cavemen had better facilities than that kitchen? don’t display your low level of reasoning and perception here.
#6.iwe ka Miss Daisy, go and take your own photos which will not be boring, otherwise you risk being banned from common sense, sha!
learn to be thankful and reasonable. the keyboard is for not just running you creepy fingers to display your immaturity but to think and the jot down your “fears”. yes, we accept a good sense of humor but thats no replacement for soundness.
the pix are great and informative, might even force you to reflect.
    thanx ba LT …

  21. I am sure the US$3m from Kansanshi has already been expended by GRZ on King Mswati’s State visit or MMD will use it to brbe Voters in the coming by elections!

  22. “Dandy Krazy signing an autograph for a school girl in Kabwe at the weekend” Can this Cheap even read and write, loose the shades and go get yourself a hair cut and a real job.

  23. #32 We can I’m beginning to doubt whether you are really related to Maestro, even he is not that thick! I did the little exercise you gave me in the thread about Pf violence. You are not the only one whose been to school. You are not the only one who can highlight text and make it bold, your relative Maestro even does it and that what irritates people.Want another demo? WE CAN WE CAN WE CAN If you are such an IT guru try to copy and paste a picture like Editor in #20 suggested.

  24. #41 Woman of Substance, I saw that video and it is indeed hilarious to say least. #46 Kelvin, I was just thinking the same. He looks like alenunka mumapa namukanwa. Gross, eww!

  25. Kwena, how old are those u/17 soccer players in pics 16 & 17? I didn’t look that old wen i was a teenager. worst still i’ve teenage youngsters who look far younger than those ‘madalas’ . Could some one convince me that the genetical make-up of modern day teenagers has changed as regards growth rate? Or else this blutant age cheating in sports must be uprooted forthwith. Our soccer standards will continue to decline as long as this rot is entertained even at national level. Where are the likes of dennis lota, kilambe & now chris katongo is already finished at ’27yrs’ becoz u can cheat evrybody else but not your own body. I mean chris is visibly tired & straining himself these days!!!

  26. #55 Woman of substance, anyone interested can go to youtube and do a search on Zambian astronaut the first video is the one!

  27. The Turf in Independence stadium looks better than the one in Konkola. I wish Konkola can get the same turf. Then Zambia can qualify to WC.

  28. you know what they say.., if you pay peanuts you get monkeys!!! Chimbwi is just a “watchdog” looking out for “infestors” to come and settle in the polluted town of kabwe, thing is they aint dumb!!! Z has vast virgin lands which is now being distributed to foreigners while many poor citizens does not even a shamba to grow kalembula or a back yard…

  29. ARE YOU SURE THIS WILL BE A UNIVERSITY WITH SUCH A KITCHEN. Imwe ba LT, this is a global media. Kuno ngabamona iyo kitchen ku concluda ati ama kitchen yapama universities ku Zambia. On the other hand, maybe just call a spade, a spade. And MPs and ministers are even getting mid-term gratuities! MA JOKES!

  30. #2 BOB DOE. WHICH PUBLIC TOILET AND WHERE? COZ I HAVE BEEN INTO PUBLIC TOILETS WHERE THE ONLY THINGS THAT REMIND YOU, ITS A TOILET ARE THE WCs, HAND-BASINS AND DRYERS THEMSELVES.

  31. It is sad to note that all we can do as Zambian is to condemn the efforts being put in by who ever is in charge of Nkuluma College

The kitchen in picture clearly shows that we are not united. To make that structure look like a kitchen it will only take about 10 people contributing $100 and by looking at the origin of the comments above $100(us) is nothing

For those living in America try to show some of these comments to your American friends, the first question you will be asked is “what do u think the problem is” if you don’t think, you are definitely going to blame the Government. It time we started helping build Zambia as individuals. No country has ever been built by foreigners

  32. Can that vanette ferry some one anywhere in that state. Police do something.

Dendy Crazy is a good singer, slightly on social commetry and mostly, songs that are shanty compound life related.

Ba Chris Aka, pliz just sit at home if you ve nothing to do. Child dumping doesn’t atrract anyone’s support. Dont stage stupid protests on obvious things. Protest about real issues like Mp’s mid term gratuity, so that the Intenational world would see that we are not happy.

  33. Nkrumah teachers training college to be turned into a University!?! First it was PCC, now Nkrumah will Kabwe Trades be the next University. We have fools in leadership!!!!

  34. I am just wondering as to why LT did not get pictures of other nice places in kabwe as in the other main roads and just places other than get the worst of kabwe…Think about it LT…

  35. #73 walishalila sana. be up to date. PCC is now Mulungushi University, its already one. Now its Nkrumah that will exclusively focus on Educational related fields, surely one day it will be under the same admin.

  36. 76 wueishiba ukubelenga. What I was saying is first PCC/Mulungushi was turned into a University, Now Nkrumah will be turning into a University is Kabwe trades next? Bamambala bala buta saana. They are thinking having buildings makes a University? Are you aware that Mulungushi University has lecturers with first degrees?

  37. No no no. #11 should not even think further. that can’t be turned into a university. please let’s have some form of standard especially with schools. that kitchen is worse than colonial bus stops. look at the smoke come out of there!
