Amusa Mwanwambwa protecting expelled Chizyuka-UPND

Share

The United Party for National Development has accused the Speaker of the National Assembly Amusa Mwanwambwa and the ruling MMD of unjustifiably protecting expelled Namwala Member of Parliament Major Ronnie Chizyuka from losing his seat in parliament.

UPND Vice President for administration Richard Kapita says Major Chizyuka has been expelled from the UPND and his Parliamentary seat should be declared vacant by the speaker of the national assembly.

He says if Major Chizyuka feels he is popular and his decision to allegedly discredit the UPND-PF pact them he should go for by elections and see if he has the backing of the people of Namwala.

Mr. Kapita wonders why the speaker of the national assembly is not declaring the Namwala Seat vacant when Major Chizyuka has been expelled by the political party that sponsored him to parliament.

He says the speaker said he cannot declare the seat vacant because he heard the case was in court a position Mr. Kapita says is not true.

Mr. Kapita says the speaker of the national assembly cannot keep major Chizyuka based on hearsay.

  1. Kapita, that is the problem with precedence you really cant do a thing about it.The speaker is in a tight spot, declaring this sit vacant would mean declaring all rebel seats vacant including those of the two parliamentarians who were also expelled from MMD. Until the courts rule otherwise there is nothing that can be done. In the mean time, best you can do is ignore him, because your continued talk simply makes him popular, if he is as insignificant as you have put it, and that he is really not making any enrodes on your popularity as a pact in Southern province, the best you can do is ignore him 2011 is not far. Unless there is some heat that you are feeling?

  2. “The Forthcoming Milanzi Parliamentary By-Election”-(plagiarized By Henry Kyambalesa)

I’m personally very disappointed to see that Henry Kyambalesa has wittingly with impunity plagiarized from the speech of President Banda he articulated at the burial site of late Honorable Chisanga Banda. I’m at pains to believe that Henry who runs an internet based political party and reads every news feed nefariously turned in for placement here a lifted article as own writing. Henry has not given credit to ZANIS or indeed the Zambia Daily Mail that carried this funeral message. Instead, he has lifted word for word and line for line for his weekly micro blogging. I challenge LT honchos to Turnitin [dot] com with any of the “iParadigms, LLC. Institutions”.

  3. Sata and his Pf plagiarizes their party manifesto from UNIP and here is this internet base Agenda for Zambia party President Henry Kyambalesa plagiarizing from President Rupiah Bwezani Banda’s funeral speech at late Honorable Chisanga Banda. Is this the PACT culture or what?

Sata and his PF plagiarized their party manifesto from UNIP and here is this internet base Agenda for Zambia party President Henry Kyambalesa plagiarizing from President Rupiah Bwezani Banda’s funeral speech at late Honorable Chisanga Banda. Is this the PACT culture or what? If it were a simple micro-blogger we would ignore it, but this behavior coming from Presidents of existing political parties aspiring to misrule our country is criminal.

  6. Hey Mr Senior Citizen, you are back. Thank you for a few days of sanity on this blog. While you are at it, please will you also comment at the Embassy audit that you did not comment on?

Oh, the way, the statement you are referring to as plagiarizing, you English is called QUOTING. Kyambalesa quoted your president. I mean banda, who sent police to arrest Mpombo for the check he paid in CASH. The police who failed to arrest Thandiwe, the Ghost worker who has failed to pay back the money she stole from the MoE. The MoE that is now run by banda’s concubine, dora siliya who banda gave a position even after she resigned in disgrace for corruption. Now when you refer to Kyambalesa’s quote as criminal, what would you call Thandiwe’s Ghost Worker position? I would suggest you call it…

  7. This is the problem with dictators. Even if UPND expelled Major Chizyuka from their party, he has a right of appeal according to the laws of Zambia – may be not the laws of UPND. It would be illogical for the Speaker to declare the seat vacant when the case has not been concluded. Where is the respect for law by UPND or PF?

That is why some of us are concerned when people who are aspiring for high office cannot respect their own constitution, let alone that of the land. What will happen when by mistake they land in high office? Do not say you were not warned!!!

Kapita is speaking the language of Michael Sata the dictator,

  8. Jooste, good point, if the Speaker declares all seats held by rebel PF MPs vacant, there will be a lot of bye-elections at immense cost to the country. Besides, the PF stands to lose some seats – a lot of talk that he fails to analyze properly Mr Kapita before he opens his mouth.

  9. Politics is about numbers and rate of voter conversion than insults in the tabloids or inactional micro blogging only. Its interesting to read the illusion of the so-called PACT victory inn the absence of any action on the ground.MMD and President Banda are busy building country wide webs of winning relations in a PACT with Zambians while two chronicle losers are digressing with the mechanism of marriage of convenience to nowhere. If not too busy rehearsing insults at the tabloid for a daily headline, they are placing orders for independent Campaign trails.

  10. The sad reality for the PACT is that Zambia is bigger than a tabloid editorial they are busy fighting for or Rajan Mathani they are worshipping. There are over a total of 72 districts, more than 100 Chiefdoms,150 constituencies and 9 provinces to canvass ruling votes from within few months yet still busy rehearsing insults. Like many other regions they believes they are defacto parties, Luapula is gone. Mmembe before RB visted the province fooled then that he would be stoned and see no one in receiption. But RB was innudated with massive crowds in solidarity wherever he turned to and no stone moved. The legion of deluded failures and hate mongers are confused.

  11. In Lusaka, the MMD provincial Chairman William Banda and the Head of state President Banda are seasoned Lusaka Grassroot political magnets. They are best informed of the political strata and demographics totally in their favour. They know better where fortunes and needs of the people are than cheap politics of insults and hatred.

  12. While Sata only knows Kawata and Hichilema a little connected in Chawama’s Hon Howard, Kuomboka and John Lang due to demographics, William Banda is better grounded in the political terrains of Matero, Chunga, Balastone, Ngwerere,6 miles, Kabanana, Chazanga, Mandevu, Chaisa, Chipata compound, Ng’ombe, Kalulu, Mazyopa, Mutendere, Bauleni, Misisi, Garden, OVER 260 members of the opposition Patriotic Front (PF) and United Party for National Development(UPND) yesterday defected to the ruling Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) in Lusaka’s Matero constituency. Its not stunning to see these flood of mass defections.

  13. I shudder to ponder on the quagmire of Sata’s reckless lies. PF is in big trouble on all fronts internal and external from disillusioned cadres and members promised miraclous prosperity of jobs, mansions, cars, gradiouse international scholarships and instant fat bank accounts with invested portfolios in all foreign corporations as long as you are their cadre that can insult RB. PF is in trouble with foreign mercenary debtors, and embattled Rajan Mathani to the political paradymn shifts whom Given Lubinda and Sata have turned into spokespersons for.

  14. 260 PF UPND pact members defect to MMD

The defectors announced their cross-over at meetings which MMD Lusaka Province chairperson William Banda held with Matero Constituency residents.

At a meeting held at Chingwere Basic School ground, 250 members of the PF and UPND joined the ruling party and 17 joined at Lilanda council ground near Lilanda market.

Receiving the new members, Mr Banda said the defectors decided to crossover to the MMD because they had seen that it was a progressive party.

He said the new members had been pressuring him to organise a ceremony where they could officially meet the MMD leaders.

Mr Banda said the ceremony was held in Matero Township because the people of the area had also requested for a meeting.

  15. “We are a listening party. After we heard requests from the members of the public that they wanted to meet us, we decided to start consultative meetings so that together we can develop Lusaka Province,” he said.

He said the call by the members of the public shows that Zambians are happy with the progressive leadership of President Banda.

Mr Banda also urged the opposition to come to terms with the fact that former President Chiluba was the first MMD president and had a constitutional right to support a political party of his choice.

Mr Banda urged the opposition to concentrate on the affairs of their parties instead of attacking Dr Chiluba.

He said it was only normal for Dr Chiluba to support the MMD, a party he helped found in 1990.

  16. On allegations by the opposition that Dr Chiluba wanted to bounce back to the party leadership, Mr Banda said that the ruling party already has a leader in President Banda.

Meanwhile, MMD deputy national treasurer Mwansa Mbulakulima has urged Kafulafuta member of Parliament (MP) George Mpombo to hasten his alleged plan to resign from the MMD.

Mr Mbulakulima said the MMD leadership is aware of Mr Mpombo’s plan to resign from the ruling party.

He was speaking in Lufwanyama yesterday when he handed over 50 bicycles to MMD organs for the 2011 general election campaign.

Mr Mbulakulima said Mr Mpombo is using the media to attack President Banda and his Government.

  17. He advised Mr Mpombo to reflect on his utterances.

“Using the media will not help him. The best thing he can do is to resign from the party because we are aware of his intention to hold a press conference to announce his resignation,” he said.

Mr Mbulakulima, who is also Copperbelt Minister, said Mr Mpombo can not attack President Banda and the government if he is a genuine member of MMD.

When contacted, Mr Mpombo said he has no intention of resigning from the MMD because he wants to contest the party presidency at the national convention.

“How can a presidential candidate resign from the party? Those are lies,” he said.

The former Minister of Defence said he is not using the media to attack the President but is only reacting to attacks from MMD members who…

  18. And Mr Mbulakulima urged MMD members in Lufwanyama to explain to the people the developmental projects that Government has implemented.

Mr Mbulakulima said the PF-UPND pact is jittery about the ruling party’s popularity hence basing its campaigns on cheap propaganda.

“The pact has got no direction, and this is the reason why it has not yet come up with a presidential candidate to date. MMD has President Banda,” he said.

He called on MMD members in the area to stick to the ruling party because it has a vision for the country.

Mr Mbulakulima said the MMD Government under President Banda’s leadership has done a lot in terms of development.

He said the agricultural sector has been producing enough food and that the mining industry has been revitalised, resulting in…

  19. Ladies and Gentlemen, we should welcome our chief ranter (Veteran Senior Citizen Ben Kangwa) back from his slumber after a visit to his office in DC by the Auditor General’s office. At least he has gathered some energy after the fear of being repatriated to old ZNBC, also discussed in the report by the AG as a dysfunctional black hole for our tax funds. He is telling the PACT has having lost direction but it seems he is even more lost than the PACT as he has failed to discuss the topic at hand but just throw mud at PF and UPND. What does the Kapita statement got to do with Chiluba, Mbulakulima, Mpombo and the Lusaka Chief Thug – Vigilante William Banda and all those that this man is discussing?

  20. Ba Senior Citizen,

Do have any productive work to spend so much valuable time writing these boring monologues”full of sound and fury, but signifying nothing”.

Your ignorance is also truly astounding! To date, you haven’t got it into your thick skull that the PF doesn’t give party cards which be the only credible evidence the so – called defectors could provide as evidence of their defections! For all I know, the guys claiming to have defected could very well be paid MMD mercenaries masquerading as PF members.

You certainly are an amazing moron!

  21. i am not voting mmd. nor for the pact. they are all *****s. i might as well vote for ngondo or ben mwila.
george mpombo is a quak and ftj just tuk a kunya/dump on sata. it will take 3 weeks of bad mmembe reporting and viewing panties in the weekend post to forget that awful press conference.

  22. If you are failing to know who SC is, where he is and what he does for life other than buying armchair critic rubbish that i’m at the DC embassy, how do you dislodge MMD a complex entity? I’m over 1200 miles away from DC and have an affluent Consultancy vocation far from your failed illusions.LT Honchos are laughing daily at your ignorance and ineptitude.SC being a Diplomat in DC as if that is the only place where a good business education can get its dividends.Even when innocent public service Ben Kangwa you yap about is moved to the London High commision or Canada, you will be still seeing my ID posting from the US. I may een teach you how to end your ignorance by using XML and SSL technology in getting a clue of what you have lamentably failed to realise for many years.Ignorance is…

  23. Nice message from Mr Kapita and I like the way he has suddenly become vocal as UPND vice president.

As for “He says the speaker said he cannot declare the seat vacant because he heard the case was in court a position Mr. Kapita says is not true. Mr. Kapita says the speaker of the national assembly cannot keep major Chizyuka based on hearsay.” this is serious and I hope the Speaker gives his position before I lose trust and the little respect I have for him.

Have a blessed day and keep well all.

  24. Senoir Citizen

Chembo has started orgainising his katundu to be shipped to zambia after the lection next year. Can all of you at the embassy also do the same please?

  25. If Zambia was full of characters like Senior Citizen, it would be a failed state! Even my old folks in the village could make more meanngful contributions, without degrees!

  26. Senior citizen, you are nothing but an i.d.i.o.t. I have tried to resist addressing you all this time but you are unbelievably insane. You just disgusting in all you postings. Any way that’s what a cadre knows best to do. You idolize people like a headless chicken.

  27. #30 Zak. Zambia is full of brainless leaders who think on the same frozen level as senior whatever. Thats why Zambia can’t move forwards but backwards. What do you expect from the head of RB? Rubbish isn’t it?

  28. Senoir Citizen, zip your mouth! Your utturances amount to verbal musturbation! I am shocked there are people in this country who think the way you do!
