Mother burns children’s buttocks with hot knife

Share

Two children of Lusaka’s Chainda compound have sustained burns after their mother deliberately pressed a hot knife on their buttocks.

The incident happened after the mother discovered that one of her children had strayed to a neighbour’s home to eat nshima, Zambia’s staple food. The mother in a fit of anger allegedly took a knife and placed it on a hot brazier before burning her children.

University Teaching Hospital spokesperson Pauline Mbangweta confirmed to MUVI TV news that the two siblings are admitted in one of the surgical wards.
She said the children are responding well to treatment and their condition is stable

  1. This is where the welfare department should come in. This mother is not fit to be a mother. These kids should be taken away and the mother charged with child abuse

  2. Uyu mayo cinangwa, if she can do that to her own children what more aba munankwe. The above information is incomplete, we need to know what action has been taken.

  3. ibange libi, are you going to look after them. there is no space and food at the wellfare centre

  4. ni poverty ilelenga fyonse ifi. The woman may be has had no food for a good number of days and may be she and her children used to eat from the nebas till they started talking about them. The Husband heard it and warned them not to ever eat from the neighbours. But I think the children continued as there was no food at their home. The farther may be continued warning the wife, so the wife had no option but to do the unthinkable thing she did. POVERTY IS KILLING MANY PEOPLE IN ZAMBIA.:o:o

  5. This all because of the MMD not running the country well. People have no food in there homes but have pride to preserve. Coming to think of it, if this was my wife and I bought enough food. I put shovel on the brazier. When red hot, I make her sit on it

  6. The police should arrest that woman for child abuse if those kids were here in England they could have been placed in proper care could some there follow up these case.

  11. Where Has the Motherly Love gone to, there has to be reason why the child pullard pali ba neighbour maybe there was no food at home, the child just used common sense ba mayo imwe mwalefya ati afye kunsala pity you didnt appreciate the common sense your child has its dyman ka!!!

  12. Now imagine you marry her and handover to her two kids from your previous marriage…won’t she bury them alive in shallow graves at the back of your house? 😮

  13. all ths is happening coz we have useless chaps in government !! mmd is jus useless !!

  14. the woman need a social worker, not a cop… she needs rehabilitation, not incarceration… its not even what she alone needs… its what the sick society needs… a sick society produces sick behaviour in otherwise perfectly normal people.

  15. What’s wrong with some of these women. After trafficking drugs in their fimo fimo and now they’re burning our children’s buttocks.Do they have a heart honestly. This country needs prayers.

  16. 🙂 Iwe London, #11-15, bushe ningulu walwala nangu ninshi? muchili munshiku sha double clicking or what? pantu na tripple clicking nayo mwaibepesha. Kapena vinabwela mochedwa nako uko kumangalande. :)>-

  17. # 7 so you would rather they suffer or even die than being put in a foster home or being put up for adoption. i think taufyala iwe so you dont know the pain of seeing a child suffering

  18. Foolish mother indeed-why do such a thing? If our Lord had to make her pay for all things she does even unknowingly-what could she be today? She needs Christ in her life

  19. [-( kutupa uko why should you burn a child with a hot knife did your mother burn you for you to be where you or for you to have those kids, stupid, she should be jailed and not allowed to see the children.

  20. London ali excited kuba ku ngalande. Give him a break to ‘roar’. Anyway, the woman is a victim of something we may know soon if LT does good digging. Every woman in my opinion, we must beware of the fury of their patience. some stint of revulsion behind her background.

The actions themselves of burning apa kwikalila pa bana, awe mwandin, something is broken up.
Let me ask men and women, Why do you bear children that are a exact replica of yourself and do such a thing? Tufwile twaleka sex kanshi. These are the traits of lesbians and guys-misdirected anger.
    Mwila fwala.
Every child you bear is as exactly you living in that child and olo wafwa wemwine, kala life kobe at least kalepema and your name goes on. Children a precious than their children.

  21. #10 & 18 – Dont see how people can lay this on the current govt. So if PF was in power then there would be no cases of child cruelty whatsoever in 90 days! The logic of some people is just mind boggling. How do you know that the woman in question is living in poverty? Are you saying people bamu mayadi are never cruel to their children? Iye mayo vipuba vamene vimabwela pano nivodabwisa kwambili mwe!

  22. IWE CHI Mwileka Sata ateke#30 U,A such a muwelewele !! u sim to lack senses in yo useless head!!

  23. #33 Can you please explain how you came to the conclusion that the behaviour of this woman is due to the MMD administration? If you are not able to answer my question then am afraid it is you who not seems to lack sense but actually do. So I await your answer which makes the MMD government culpable regarding the behaviour of this woman who took it upon herself to burn her own children’s buttocks.

  24. Heartless woman indeed. I can’t even find words in my vocabulary strong enough to condemn her wicked and barbaric act.:o

  25. Ms Pauline Mbangweta, you are just paid for describing patients’ condition as ‘Stable’.

  26. kids will always be kids even if these food home but they will still eat where they play please:o. But this article doesnt state what action will be taken against the mother[-(

  27. Mwileka Sata #35 its because every1,z frustrated so sum end up extending it to their kidz! ths government has failed hence WE THE PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA SHALL VOTE FOR THE PACT NEXT YEAR!

  28. Making babies is one thing, being a mother is a different thing all together. This is no mother. This is just a woman who had children. A woman who doesn’t realise how lucky she is to have been blessed with two kids. I hope the powers that be will take action against her.

  29. Kwena ena mayo uyu chinangwa sana.Rb alelenga fyonse ifi, we never had these things muli mwanawasa but now things have changed such that even monkeys are peeing on people.:d

  30. wicked act indeed hope she gets some serious rehabilitation
#31 u need him more than she does so that your language too could change for the better:)>-:)>-
#37 you have made my day lol

  31. #41 So from your point of view then no action should be taken on the mother? If everybody is frustrated because the govt has failed, then how come we do not hear of such cases day in or day out? Does that mean it is only people who are poor who abuse their children? Those people living in Kabulonga and other low density areas never ever abuse their children? Your argument is completely flowed. There a lot of struggling parents in Zambia who dont abuse the kids. The woman chose to do what she did and she should be punished. Even if Sata comes in and produces his 90 days miracle, such cases will happen so you can not blame the govt for every human foible on this earth. For your information, a govt that has produced a record maize surplus in my view can not be termed as ‘failing’.

  32. Sad indeed. Our social structures are so weak that people have forgotten our African attitude: it takes a village to raise a kid. That neighbour must be commended for taking responsibility for those starving children.

  33. KATU ZYALA BANA MBOTUKOZYA KUBAMBA KABOTU. TUTANI KU ZYALILI KUPEZYA BANTU MUMIZEEZO NKAAMBO CAKUTABAMBA KABOTU BANA

  34. KATU ZYALA BANA MBOTUKOZYA KUBAMBA KABOTU. TUTANI KU ZYALILI KUPEZYA BANTU MUMIZEEZO NKAAMBO CAKUTABAMBA KABOTU BANA

  35. How many foster homes are there in Zambia by the way? No wonder these wicked women do what ever they can to these children because they know there are no laws in place strong enough to lead to her kids being taken away. The Govt need to work on and develop a system to look out for kids. This raises another issue i was reading abt the other day, South Africa and Zambia are among the few Countries that have a high population of AIDS orphaned children whilst SA is trying to put in place foster homes and so forth what is zambia doing for these helpless kids other than squandering our Money? Shame on the Govt!

  36. Things which are happening pa Zed kuti walila another incident happened on the copperbelt a 17 year old boy killed his 27 year old brother over nshima again. Balimutana ubwali and a fight started.

  37. Yes that is due to MMD Admin,so poor and made this ****n lady to be mad and used a hot knife on there behind too.Poor MMD Administrationshas brought some issues and news in Zambia

  38. Pepani azimai ndi azibambo . You are commenting to a half story. The woman has also her own version. Uyu mwambo niwakudala naku dala. Koma kuipa m’tima ko shoka bana, awe cheve chakanika. Mwachita ova amai ngati nizoona mwa flaing’a m.a.t.a.k.o ya bana.

  39. Mwileka Sata ateke says 45 .. Just shut up you dont know what we Zambians are going though here. You are just sitting there and supporting things that you dont know. Maybe you are related to Chiluba who has stolen from us and you are just enjoying the stolen money. Just shut up if you dont know what a poor Zambian is going thr here. You are just getting the propaganda of MMD you dont know what the ground has. Keep quite you are not ashamed to be writing like this when you are not even here to see the misery of a common Zambian. Even if the Zambian people have produced this maize is it going to be given free of charge to the poor? No . Meali meal wont even be reduced so whats the point of boasting that we have a bumper harvest when there still people out there who cannot access nshima

  40. Uyu umu anti`s zoona aligomaika bakamba.Aikala umwana pansansa zoona, iyi evundu iyishipwa bige.Batwalefye umwana uyu ku clinic bamumone bwino abachenjele.Anyway mwela onse shimaster 😕

  42. Very very sad and i really dont know where we are heading! you know i fail to understand women sometimes just how hard hearted they become. its really sad.

  43. Number### 30
Does it mean you always think of Politicts and SATA? You better come back to Zed and visit chainama Hospital. Something is very serious wrong with your brain

  44. Wait before you guys comment…suddenly this sad development has become political! Fact before anything else, the woman has committed a crime….child abuse………….fact.! The child ate from the next door neighbour (expected to be nice -friendly…trust your children with, like in England…!) Point is, we do not know how the people in her vicinity chill…absolutely no idea. Neighbour’s… neighbour’s ! Some are good….and some ain’t so good. We can agree on one thing, which is the extreme action taken by the mother. But then again, politicising this with little details is simply a low blow, my opinion.:-w

  45. some of you guys commenting here may be the biological parents of this children. you have run away and you cant even help to look after the kids now her anger is getting on your kids. the police must not just lock the woman but trace the man also if he is alive am make him pay for not taking care of his children. african governments are too dull. we need a government that will need a system to track down run away fathers. we are tired of these monkeys.

  46. London, u only click Submit once. Are u sure u are in London, not Kalingalinga?? Bcooz poverty sometimes makes us beleive Kalingasdale is London. Let me know.
