Zambia Face Tanzania In Cecafa Cup Opener

Zambia has been drawn in Group A with hosts Tanzania at this year’s Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.

Somalia and Burundi complete Group A of this year’s Cecafa Cup to be held in Dar-es-Salaam from November 27 to December 12.

Zambia kickoff their preliminary round Group A campaign on November 27 against the hosts Tanzania at 15:00.

They will return to the field on November 30 to face Burundi at 13:00 and finish off against Somalia in anonther lunchtime kickoff this time against Somalia on December 3.

Zambia is one of three guest teams at this year’s Cecafa that also includes Cote D’Ivoire and Malawi.

Malawi are in the tournaments group of death in Group C that comprises of Kenya, Ethiopia and defending champions Uganda.

Cote D’Ivoire are in Group B with Rwanda, Sudan and Zanzibar.

Runner-up from Group A will face runner-up from Group B while Group A winner will take on the second of two best overall third placed team from the preliminary stage.

Winner from Group B will play runner-up from Group C takes on the first of the best from two third placed teams.

The matches all be televised on SuperSport channel.

  3. This game should certainly go on. The game should not be affected by what’s happening in Faz. I think this will all pass soon or later.

  4. There is just too much politics in zambian football,let the team go there and forefull the fixtures.Let us not expect much from the boys,kuti wafwa na BP
