Zambians Should Embrace Kalu’s Win-Faz

Share

Faz vice president Boniface Mwamelo says he hopes Kalusha Bwalya landslide win in Khartoum today will be embraced by all Zambians.

Kalusha secured the Cosafa zone seat in the Caf executive committee after a resonating 38 votes to six against his nearest rival Walter Nyamilandu of Malawi.

“I hope this cuts across the divide and we only hope that everyone will embrace it as their victory,” Mwamelo said.

Kalusha will serve on Caf’s decision making organ on a four-year term starting this year until 2015 to become the second Zambia to hold a top position at Caf since Tom Mtine who is a honorary member of the continents football governing body.

Meanwhile, South African Danny Jordaan failed in his quest for a Fifa seat crushing to 4th place in the vote for one of the two Caf seats up for grabs in Zurich.

Jordaan got 10 votes, two less than COSAFA president Suketu Patel of the Seychelles.

Jacques Anouma from Cote d’Ivoire retained his Fifa seat with 35 votes.

Algerian Football Federation head Mohamed Raourao won the other Caf seat in Zurich to become the new Fifa executive committee member on 39 votes.

  1. Ok….guys the VP says we should embrace his boss’s victory. Simple. lets just do. Kalu may be dump in locally but internationally, he is not!!!!

  2. Yes Boniface every Zambian must be overjoyed with Kalusha’z victory at COSAFA, but they should not forget to quickly sort out the mess at Football House, come 26th March.

  3. Yep you are rite @1 we need to move away from the mediocre of people like bena simataa simataa. They guy has not done badly either at FAZ but its like we are petty and want others to fail completely.Yes we have to accept he is ambitious and sometimes doesn’t do much as expected for the football organization, but who says being ambitious is a crime?besides if most of you were in his position you would do the same.No mater what he can do he would still be told off at one time or another so the best thing to do is to secure his career as an individual. If he fails to run the association and fails his life the same chaps in Zambia will be laughing at him saying twalishibe ati baka pwa so let him fly high if he can those bitching and mourning about it go to hell ba fikala.

  4. Where I live in South Africa everytime I go into a place where football fans are they all ask about Kalu. When will you produce another Kalu? We wont, if we only focus on jealousies. Great Kalu will always be Great Kalu.

  5. Which embrace????? He will embrace himself, who does he expect to jump up n down for this crooked n selfish mongoroid! he is busy raping government money well pretending as a FAZ presid. He did the same when he handraped the zambians well pretendin as an expatriate coach. let him go fak himself in south. A

  6. Very right No.2, Kalu iz adored by every sane Zambian becauze of the great player(and probably the best Zambia haz ever produced, but only second to one Godfrey Chitalu) he waz. But sorry the same can’t be said about hiz coaching and subsequent administration of Zambian futball.

  7. I want to see The Post congratulate Kalu. The lesson to learn is that anything supported by The Post does not succeed. I fear for the PF. No matter how hard Fred M’membe and his gang press with their secterianism, they are always on the losing side. I congratulate UPND for detaching themselves from this callous paper because they have saved themselves from certain failure. Anyone who goes into a competition with The Post’s crooked support certainly fail: Magande (MMD Adoption), Sata (Presidency 2008), Kalu etc

  8. n# 1.
internationally we are all good. Who can hate you when you have never offended him/her. Even RB is considered a good president in Zimbabwe n some parts of the World coz they don’t know what wrongs he has done. Kalu is Galu!

  9. A prophet is not appreciated by his hommies.Even Jesus was rejected by his own people.See how popular Great Kalu is on the global scale. And the so called heavyweight(Danny Jordaan) the Post were busy painting a picture that will have an easy run has failed. When a candidate is popular with the Post, just expect the opposite(check their history of support)

Dora try to be sober with your comments. Learn to appreciate than coming out in a more sacastic manner. I hope you will find some wisdom from my words

  11. Whether anyone embraces it or not, Kalu is Kalu. Infact let no hater embrace & congratulate him. He has so much supporters. We love him.

  12. Let Kalu focus on his COSAFA role because he’s clearly failed to run things @ FAZ. He’s way too polarizing and his authoritarian style is not compatible with local football administration. We wish him well in his endeavors!

  13. We should also embrace Simaata’s victory. I am sure the simaata camp is farting in their pants upon hearing this progress about the man they passionately hate. Simaata and Kamanga have never won an international position but are good at coups. Viva Kalu, ichalo chilekumfwa. We are behind you boss.

  14. shame on you haters with your useless kamanga, campaign manager for one jordan. kalu is smart he doesnt need your support.

  15. #9 I concur with you that whatever is supported by post loses.Consider 1. Chiluba corruption crusade post lost, PF last election Lost.Look at Western, Milupi had no newspaper but he won, i wonder if the post had supported him.Chilanga also no coverage, UPND won. I think the post is always on the wrong side of history, they are not with the people, they just force people to support them not post support the post.

  16. I cant wait to see post neadlines tomorrow. You will see the post down playing Kalu’s victory.Thats what they do when it doesnt suite them.It will just be a small article in the corner like the Chilanga by election results.I fell sorry for PF, they have been moving the same road that doenst yield results dispite those pictures of a huge following in last year’s election.I guess even on election day we had a huge clowd. If i were SATA i would distance myself from this newspaper.

  17. Kalu went as an individual, he did not go to represent me or any other Zambian, so why should I consider his Victory as my own???

  18. hey this danny jordan chap has been walloped? I thought pipo here were praising his ‘qualifications’ and saying our great kalu can’t match him but I hear the same kalu has won his battle in caf with a landslide?ba danny shuld have just tried caf elections, lol!

  19. lets be frank pipo… Kalu has shamed all his critics especially the Post and Simataa the chancer. There is nothing to write or talk about on Zambian football let alone blame individuals who are trying to bring it back on track. Mr. Kamanga will cry the loudest when the shit master Mr. simataa shits on him…. Eyes on the ball…. Viva great Kalu, Viva Zambians….!!!! its all our victory

  20. I wonder what Simataa Simataa and Kamanga re upto now? PHD. These guys re chancers, umunthu uhu shaenda atasha nina ukunaya ubwali! Lack of exposure mwebantu!

  21. Mudala Kalu walasa. Come and do the same in Kitwe. We are with you and want a thunderous welcome at Airport.Mwamelo/ Eric, when is Great Kalu landing?

Simmatta & Kamanga bali na shiki by now.
    Eyes on the Ball.

  22. Simata simata must tell the zambians what he has done for zambian footbal. after losing his job at finance bank he is just been jobseeking. muleke umwauche kalu… uleunfwako nsoni!!!

  23. It always amazes me how Zambians think. Zambian football is a mess. But that does not matter as long as Kalusha is on CAF committee. It does not matter that Kalusha only thinks of Kalusha. As long as he is Zambian, all is well. Congratulations to Kalusha, but at the end of the day the appointment is for Kalusha and Kalusha only. He already has a high profile in African football. This will give him an even higher profile, which will help his business as a football agent. Let’s wish him well but let’s not pretend that he was good for Zambian football. This time around people should vote carefully.

  24. Mukalanda mukanaka but lyonse, fikalabafye ififine, apatebeta lesa wandi, tapafuka ichushi……………………nice song Danny

  25. Mulekeni Kalu ateke. And its at CAF not COSAFA. For those who are chocking with rage over Kalu’s win, mwala fimba imitwe kubukali.

  26. Sharp Shooter u r ryt!!!!!Post owez figtn a losn batle…”No Kalu dit get govnt blesn…,No kalu is a lightweight among….Jodan organsd,he did blah blah, hez d man 2 watch”haha ba post mulatekunya imwe…”Rememba dat ka picture bena kamanga n jodan wen dey wea busy campaining 4gtn they r all loosers.iye mwe. evn covered d whole sports page.wat a loss of stationery.nawadez dot even read sports page 4 d post guys

  27. Well done Kalusha for winning.

However, tt does not matter whether Kalusha wins or not for Zambia. What matters is whether he has improved football in Zambia. The clear answer is HE HAS FAILED to run the game correctly.
He was no doubt a very good footballer but not adminstration.

It is a pity that some people on this blog behave like party cadres – they see no wrong even when a blindman can. That is why Zambia cannot develope. Once politics are based on patronage then reason suffers.

All Kalusha is interested in is to lead and not how to lead. He is a very power hungry youngman. That is why when he was FAZ Vice president to Teddy Mulonga, he made his reign miserable; causing all sorts of problems.

Now that he has what he wants, let him leave the FAZ presidence to people who…

  28. bane apali ukutasha tuletasha -kalu has made us proud, why shud we support people like simata and kamanga who are just there to destroy his good works.ba kalu we support you ,keep it up.

  29. Oh yes Kalu not good for FAZ but wonderful for CAF,congruts man go on. Lets now get an insight from the chief petitioners of no confidence.

  30. Lets here from the chief critic of Great kalu-Simata Simata what he has to say on this great achievement for zambian football administration. So bo Simata, landeni tumfwe.

  31. Really the Post have contributed greatly to sinking the standards of Zambian journalism. They created antagonistic reporting of events because whenever they are on a cause-right or wrong- they forget how to report objectively. In trying to counteract this, the govt created a bootlicking media. Journalism suffered because the two warring parties focus on their battles rather than giving the public news and information.
