Rural News Woman murdered on witchcraft suspicion

A 40 year old woman of Kaputa District in Northern Province was yesterday murdered on suspicion of practicing witchcraft.

Police Public Relations Officer Ndandula Siamana confirmed to MUVI TV News in a telephone interview.

Ms. Siamana says Ketha Chungu of Chashele Village was killed after a suspicious death of Beauty Kalwa aged 3 years.

The incident happened on Monday around twelve hours when family members ascended on the woman till her death.

Police in Kaputa have since arrested Keldah Chishimba and Frida Makanta the mother to the girl to help with investigations of the killing.
