Zesco United have been eliminated from the Caf Confederation Cup after losing 2-0 away to MAS of Morocco on Saturday night in Fez

A brace from MAS midfielder Hamza Abourazzouk in the 24th and 37th booked MAS passage to the Confederation Cup group stage that kicks-off on July 15.

MAS qualify 2-1 on aggregate to the group stage of the tournament.

Zesco’s defeat ends all interest in Caf club competition for Zambia in this year’s campaign.

  1. Ofcourse they have been eliminated and thank God. We are a nation of no hopers in football. We are an embarrasement when we play in these competitions. We have never won any, I am sure (I stand to be corrected) Zesco should not even be in the news whatsoever. Well done MAS, Good job. Thanks

  2. I think Mushota is a failure in life and as such celebretates when others fail like him (her?). Instead of helping identify where the problem lies, there he/she goes displaying sadism!

  3. Mushota, I share your pain and disappointment. However, you are wrong on one score. Power Dynamoes did win the Mandela Cup in 1991. This was the forerunner of the CAF Cup Winners Cup, which I believe was itself the forerunner of the current CAF Confederation Cup.
