United party for national development president Hakainde Hichilema has charged the calls for the resignation of Law Association of Zambia president Musa Mwenye to resign are uncalled for.

Mr. Hichilema says that the calls are uncalled for, stating that the LAZ president was right when he observed the running of the public-media.

Mr. Hichilema says that it is public knowledge that the coverage of the public media works against the majority Zambian people.

He says that pointless to start calling for the resignation of Mr. Mwenye when he was speaking on behalf of the majority Zambians.

Today Times of Zambia reported that a DIE-Hard for RB national coordinator Bowman Lusambo had given Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) president Musa Mwenye a 48-hour ultimatum to come out in the open or resign over the alleged professional misconduct of trying to put undue pressure on the judiciary.

Mr Lusambo said that his organisation would organise demonstrations against Mr Mwenye if he failed to resign.

“We are giving Mr Mwenye a 48-hour ultimatum to come out in the open over allegations of serious professional misconduct that have been revealed by the former secretary general of the Patriotic Front (PF) Mr Edward Mumbi. If he doesn’t resign we shall petition LAZ and organise demonstrations.

“As Die-Hard for RB we are very disappointed with Mr Mwenye over the statements he has been making which are clearly linked to some opposition party,” he said.

He said going by his recent statement, it was unprofessional for Mr Mwenye to try and put undue pressure on the judiciary when he was representing Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) who have sued Chanda Chimba III and Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC).

“This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional conduct by the president of LAZ. We are aware that some of the LAZ members are very unhappy about the misconduct of Mr Mwenye because he is putting its name in ridicule” he said.

And Mr. Hichilema has described the on-going campaigns in northwestern province as a success.

Mr. Hichilema says that it is clear that most Zambians are ripe for change in the coming elections.

He says that the UPND has received overwhelming response in the campaigns they are conducting nationwide.

The UPND leader in an interview with QFM from Northwestern province this morning, Mr. Hichilema has called Zambians to voter for credible leaders in this year’s election.

  1. Badala – have you read Trevor Simumba’s article in the ZWD? He actually thinks you can be a factor in this year’s election. My only appeal to you is: to broaden your party’s membership, especially the top brass, to include people from other regions in order to win elections.

    • Chilomo has missed the point. It’s not only ZWD that think so. It’s a lot of us voters. I for one will vote for HH.

    • You should learn to distinguish between partisan issues and issues affecting the general public. Mwenye is advancing the cause of the general zambian public. every zambian knows that ZNBC is synonimous with MMD propaganda and biased coverage. So where does Mwenye’s partisan agenda come in. It is fools like you who continuosly drag democracy and democratic principles into the gutter. Shame upon you.

  2. DIE-HARD for RB what’s.?Apolitical party or Chongololo club of theMMD. You die hard and go to hell who needs you!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. # 1 what has kissing got to do with this national important issue. May be you don’t have a head too think intead you are using your stomach to say less. Bring real issues here not your social affairs we are not interested and you need to repent less you go to hell with your sex drive. We want to chart our political road map not social issues go for councelling and get married to a real man not that one who is wasting your time.

  4. @4kangwele   OOOH I SEE ,U LACK TO BE KISSED.AM FEELING IT IN MY EARS.
DONT WORRY DEAR SOON I IL TEACH HOW TO KISS.ITS REALLY AMAIZING.
I IL GIVE U THE KISS U IL NEVER FORGET THEN U IL WANT TO BE HAVING IT EVERYDAY.GOOD DAY LOVE
AM ON MY TO MY GUY

  5. ITS BETTER TO BE QUIET AND PRAY. BECAUSE WHAT I KNOW IS THAT THE GOOD LORD CAN NOT LET HIS PEOPLE BEING SUBJECTED TO WHAT ZAMBIANS HAVE BEEN CURRENTLY. PEOPLE ARE WITHOUT DIGINITY. AT PASPORTS OFFICE, THE WORKERS JUMP A POOL OF WATER TO GO UPSTAIRS TO THEIR OFFICES BECAUSE THE ROOF LEAKS. GO TO THE NRC OFFICES IN KAMWALA, WHEN YOU ENTER THE OFFICE THE FLOOR IS LIKE DUST, THE CHAIRS THE OFFICERS SIT ON IS JUST A SHAME. WHAT THEN DO YOU EXPECT FROM THE ZNBC? ITS A GOVERNMENT WHICH IS JUST SO STURBON. SURELY OUR LEADERS HAVE NO HEARTS. WE ARE A GROUP OF 20 NOW WHO ARE PRAYING FOR THE CHANGE OF THIS LEADERSHIP. WE HAVE PLANS TO GO INTO FASTING FOR A WEEK. AND I CALL UPON OTHERS WHO SHARE THIS VIEW TO JOIN US.

  6. HH work hard as your Party is likely to emerge second to PF. I dont see MMD doing better than you. By the way are you still planning to contest in Siavonga as MP?

  7. The article title talks about HH support for LAZ president but the its full content is about Die Hard dimwits against the LAZ president. Is this a failure to write?

  8. HH when will you learn man. Musa Mwenye is a doing everything for Poor Fellows not for you Tongas. Musa blames ZNBC because of STAND UP FOR ZAMBIA which is doing damage to Poor Fellows not tongas. In the end Sata is siiiick.

  9. HH lost the time he ditched the pact. If he can come to the reality and have a nice talk with Sata otherwise this year they might both of them find themselves trailling at 3rd and 2nd places respectively as usuaaly is the case. But the diehard group may also be surprised If Sata by chance upsets tables. This year it is 50/50 between MMD and PF. It could have been if the pact was not destroyed 75% PACT and 25% MMD.

  10. Such organisations are very worrysome “DIE HARD FOR RB”. It means they are ready to kill for RB. Please watch these guys otherwise we are gone this year.

  11. On ‘And Mr. Hichilema has described the on-going campaigns in northwestern province as a success… He says that the UPND has received overwhelming response in the campaigns they are conducting nationwide,” I am glad to note that the Real Change campaigns are going on well in Northwestern Province of Zambia.

It is gratifying to read about mass exodus of MMD members to the UPND. I hope the defectors from MMD are not very old failures like Mr Under Standard-5 (in education leader of PF, MC Sata). I also hope that the UPND Real Change message and songs will be spread to all Zambian rural areas like a bush fire in the coming two to three weeks.

    Be blest all.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

    • You have been preaching this Tonga crap for ages, you know Tonga tribalist party is a kapenta

  12. Fipubafye fi die hard.Nifi rebo.Die hard.It must be a subsection of WBM William Banda Movement.Let him go fight umutali mutali in his own land.Things are changing world over.Kuya bebele for infestaz.Infesting your own pipo

  13. See how soft HH iz towardz the MMD and RB, he iz in no way condemning the abuse of state media.

  14. This is one young man who doesn’t know whether he is coming or going. The issue of Musa Mwenye is about social justice as an objective of LAZ. In order to be credible in counselling the public media, Mwenye should also counsel the private media particularly the Post. This matter is not about who funds or owns what media, but it’s about social justice, fair play, and reporting the truth so the public can make informed decisions. As it is, the Post is just as bad as the public media. The Post is probably worse because unlike the public media, it was founded as a beacon of truth, justice and fair play, but what it does now is an atrocity, dishonestly thriving on its legacy to cheat the gullible. How else can one explain its promotion of plunderers who have regrouped in PF?

  15. Every bloger here has one vote and so do not say we when you just have one vote. No one in Zambai own voter. This years` election are open, any one can win. Like it or not.

  16. Katie Good we do not pay tax to the Post you a choice whether to buy or not. I do not know when I last watched ZNBC but these poor are chaps are taxing me K3,000 for all that MMD rubbish

  17. HH dont waste your precius time responding to thugs and self appointed so called DIE HARDS FOR RB. The likes of Bowman Lusambo are power hungry and cowards who can abandon RB when the wind of change blows off RB. We hard DIE HARDS for Late Levy but how many remained behind to guard his burial site after he was put to rest even FTJ the same thing happened. Super Ken used to cheated that all was well but you saw how he was deserted by all his faithfulls. I remember his late son Wezi taking over the security details of his father with the likes of Duncan Mtonga.Just go out flat and campaign. I like the Saint Cobra for one reason he knows who is with him and cant easily get swayed by lies coz he has been there and knows the game. Life is a gift from GOD and I see no reason why 1 shu die

  18. Professional ethics require to be practiced by everybody who is of that particular profession. It does not matter whether you are in a public or private office.Look at how lawyers and accountants punish their erring members regardless of whether they are private or public practitioners.Just what is wrong with so called profession of journalists?

  19. Confusion over PF Parley candidates’ adoption persists…………..Some PF central committee members told the Times in Lusaka yesterday that following the seeming failure by the party to attract applications for adoption from some constituencies in Western, Southern and North-Western provinces the party had now decided that it may not field candidates in some parts of the country because time would run out for them to find credible members to field………………..So more advantage for HH plus Real Change!!!

  20. #20 whatever your name is, please read my post. I am saying that the issue of social justice has nothing to do with who owns or funds what media, not as far as Musa Mwenye is concerned. If it was you criticising the public media I would not be concerned as it’s your right, but Mwenye is not you or me, he doesn’t have the luxury that you and I enjoy. Mwenye IS LAZ president who should teach fair play, justice and responsible reporting by ALL media to all of us. As for ZNBC TV, I never miss their news and I know that there are millions of Zambians out there who watch it religiously too. Otherwise how would we know what our government is doing given that the Post deliberately withholds such information from us? Sorry for your K3,000 but if you feel so strongly about it, I can refund you.

  21. Well,I feel sorry for HH and his sympathizers! How could u see lubinda loosing to radio regular caller Imbuwa in Kabwata?Anyway gud luck UPND guys.We always tell u that HH should be a MP before seeking the office.Look at what is happening in Malawi with professor in economics called wamutarika. He just came from comesa and became president of Malawi.Leadership is wisdom and not degrees.HH can just run a company not a country.Economy is a theory and has no proof to all answers. Good presidents in the world are lawyers, politicians and soldiers.most economists are falliers when it comes to running the country.U can google yoself if u want more answers about economists and their theories

  22. The problem of PF is they think they can do away with the rural population. So if they cant find credible candidates for Southern, Western and Northwestern Provinces then how are they going to make it. They have been caught up in their own web of political mudslinging. There are many capable men and women around Lusaka who hail from these provinces who are ready to go and stand on PF tickets. Let PF disclose the budget for each candidate (150) seats and what they have put on the table it will work in their favour. How can PF ignore NorthWestern Province when its spinning money to drive the Zambian economy. That is failed political strategy. Its like a student who is ggod and maths and what to study hard maths ingnoring other subjects and hopes to make it to Unza with 100% in 1 subject JOKE

  23. #25, Katie Good: While you are at it, you may as well refund my K36000 annual loss to ZNBC! Are you game?

  24. The media has a played a big role in dividing this country so far. Promoting so much hatred. Journalists you will be held accountable if blood is shed in this country. We are not unique,,,what happened in Rwanda can happen here. For those who can manage look for a video entitled “Ghosts of Rwanda” and watch then you will appreciate how powerful the media can be

    • They definately don’t know. This guy gave late Levy Mwanawasa a rough time over constitution making process.

  25. Katie Good, you want to refund K3,000 to someone who feels strongly by ZNBC’s unfair coverage. I think you are a dull kitten who cant understand what someone means by talking about K3,000 that ZNBC taxes zambian citizens, but subjects them to poor and biased reporting. Can you refund all the people who are taxed K3,000 you kitten? Wake up.

  26. Oh my God..Bowman Lusambo!! ha ha ha but pa Zambia. Iye imwe. I bet there is plenty of money going his way. Zambia oh my Zambia even clowns are making news now.

  27. In the past i ve tried to resaon with this Katie Good -its a waste of time. She s a die hard MMD/RB funatic-the senior citizen type-they will never look at the broader picture coz without MMD in power they are stuck in life.-they become clueless.

  28. Dream on Dreamers PF is conducting its screening there candidates next week. So if there any person saying the NEC has met there are telling lies blue lies

  29. #19..your article is based on anecdotal evidence. While The Post is obliged to tell the truth just like the public media, they are not funded by the tax payers. Private media all over the world tend to somehow be biased in their coverage. This is not strange.
The issue here is we are entitled to not only the truth but balanced coverage of all stakeholders.
They are supposed to set the standard. Its like the comparing the govt and the private sector employers. Govt must set minimum standards.

We can boycott buying Times, Daily mail or watching ZNBC tv but we will still be funding them through taxes.
Why is the public media feeding us with information that is not in the best interest of national building, cohesion and common good?

  30. Exactly Musa’s point when he dragged the so-called “Public Media” which in actual fact should be called MMD tabloids. They cover any f.o.o.l or id.io.t that is barking and hallucinating as long as in RB’s favour. The Post is under no obligation to cover all stories, apart from their journalism regulations or conscience, otherwise the onus is on us to boycott the paper. Now, even if I boycott ZNBC my 3,000 pin is still going.

  31. HH is strongly advised to read history to help him refine assessments of professional politicians and lawyers. If we were to examine activities of some Lawyers, it is clear that certain lawyers deliberately embed themselved in LAZ structure in order to achieve political goals. We remember that Mweemba as President of LAZ, with support of Prof. Hansungule (Lawyer), used LAZ offices to attack Govt on behalf of UPND. Both Mweemba and Prof. Hansungule failed to make sense when they attepted to criticise Govt on behalf of UPND. When he left LAZ corridors both Mweemba and Prof. Hansungule went into oblivion. Therefore, HH defence for Mwenye must be taken with a pinch of salt. However, HH is so polically inert (dull) that he does not know that Musa Mwenye is an active PF cadre. Wake up HH.

  32. HH is not supporting mwenye because he is upnd member but HH is supporting principle. Look at Mulongoti who supported public media as minister and today he is condemining it, is this principle or opportunism?

  33. time is now for realchange whether you like or not.we are tire of insults from people who do not have manners.

  34. In Zambia we like debating even on straight forward issues. No wonder the high turnover of workshops. The public media is unprofessionally biased towards the MMD. The so called developments do not need to be advertised neither through bill boards or TV. Those are government projects and any government in the world put up such projects. in fact this is the first country to be practicing such a practice from my humble tour of countries. The public media needs to be sensitizing people about real issues.

  35. @kangwele n @rihanna, very fun u hve made my day.rihanna u need a real gent lyk me,i will satisfy u completely besides am 30cm down jst wht u wat.holla@me babe am waiting.oophs!back 2 de topic, let those die hards die quickly n go 2 hell or is 2 de farm in de come oct.as musa kip up wit de spirity znbc is realy rubbish n so is daily mail n times of zed.

  36. Spokeswoman @2
you are really living in cloud kookoo, who in their right mind would vote for HH aside his hardcore tribalist followers
Baadala quit while you still have chance to save face,HH you shall never lead Zambia! You are a leader of the minority tonga tribal party!!! Most Tongas like know the truth

    • You have a serious problem with morality. Ubu bupuba. If you think HH will never lead this country then you are about to commit suicide!

  37.  @Umwana Mindolo wow i ges rupia is the best kisser, cant u see that he GOT A SWEET 16?OF COS I CAN KISS HIM N MAKE HIM CRAZY.HE CAN FORGET PLOT ONE DEAR.
@45Joseph Hillz    WOW U ROCK BABIE   30CM UHUH ITS REALLY COOL THATS THE TYPE OF LIBIDO I WANT COZ IT MAKES ME FEEL IT UP TO THE NECK..OF COS LOVE WONT HESTITATE BUT TO CALL U.GIVE ME YO NUMBER KAILI MAYB I CAN MAKE U FEEL IT IN THE EARS .AM WAITING LOVE
MEANWHILE AT THE MOMENT I NID TO FIND WHO IS GONNA MAKE MY NIGHT TODAY

  38. IF THE SO CALLED DIE HARDS FOR RB STAGE A PROTEST AGAINST MUSA MWENYE, ALL THE PATRIOTIC ZAMBIANS WILL ALSO DEMONSTRATE AGAINST ZNBC, TIMES OF ZAMBIA, DAILY MAIL AND THE RB DIE HARDS. DIE HARDS FOR RB IS JUST A TERRORIST ORGANISATION WHICH IS AN OFFSHOOT OF THE ALQAIDA NETWORK.

  39. Under which rock did Bowman Lusambo crawl from under?! This guys is nothing but a common conman who over the years has been swinding people all over Lusaka and the Copperbelt claiming to be a supplier of sorts.

  40. @rihanna.lol.u r making my 9t babe.its ladies 1st babe kaili.drop me ur #.seems we cud be a match bt hey am jealousy u r wit dat guy whom u had probmz wit.i wil displace him anyway as soon as u enjoy my huge stick.am waiting babe.kisses!!

  41. #31, of course just send the bill. You can even backdate it three years, and while you are at it please tell the few others too.

  42. What happened to my comment. somebody subortaged it. Ba LT, you must be serious. I was only advising my fellow Zambians who dont live in Florida that they should take time to to Florida were there are a lot of Spanish girls who are exceptionally beautiful , so that they can exhibit their much advertised dicks on them and not on those ugly Zed girls aba fimyona.
And on the topic at hand, I said that wether one pays K3000. or not, reporting by the Post or the so called Public Media is pathetic. All of them are useless. After all they all attend the same journalism schools. If is not MEF it is Everlyn hone.

  43. Guys come on lets wake up!! Sure we are condeming the post which digs so deep in the filthy scims of most of these politicians we call our leaders. Its the only paper worth my 3grand, we knew the take over of Finance Bank way before the MMd gvt did it all because of the post. Some one today was claiming on ZNBC TV that they dont bar public media from covering the and yet at most Ministries they have banned buying of the Post, isnt that an act of double standards*fyola*

  44. sometimes if we really think about our country’s future .HH could be the best man for this year to rule our country . Its just too bad we lost the best of all Mazoka . These sata and RB should just leave zambian people alone . we dont need these ols people to lead us again

  45. @50Joseph Hillz  U MUST EAT ALOT OF PROTEINS DEAR COZ IT IL BE A NON STOP TILL MORNING LOVE.LETS BANG IT.AM GIVING U A CALL IN A SECOND.KISSSSSSSSSSS

  46. Everyone in Zambia is aproduct of small tribe that entered Zambia from Kola in Congo. Stop this stupid tribal comment on HH it’s now ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION no one tribe can rule alone never! HH is the most accommodating, incorigible leader who can fight the endemic corruption in Zambia satan has never condemned corruption which has horribly increased under mmd feet. Fortunately satan will not win the coming election. The man has no leadership qualities 4Zambia.

  47. Lackson are you in Zambia. How do you explain popularity of just one province.HH takwete vision for his party and he has no ability to lead Zambia. How has his friends managed to penetrate these other nations and how did Mazoka manage. The boy is going no where and he should stop saying Zambia forward because he is going backwards from wat i can see.how do you take people forward when you are backwards. Please Zambians lets wake up.Umuntu ni RB.How many hospitals ,shools have we seen.

  48. And Lackson do you that HH has so much in his account with nothing to show for.Look at Southern province no development

  49. Who should ask Musa Mwenya to resign? Is it LAZ or MMD cadres? If LAZ has not called for his resignation then whose the **** do MMD cadres know about professional conduct in LAZ

  50. Kaaaaabaaalweee! I give you credit on this one but i wonder what you will do with those recycled politicians from mmd! Pabwaaaaaatoooooooo!

  51. the problem is Musa Mwenye is a PF cadre..we may respect your opinion on this 20HH but he should go for Zambians’ sake..

  52. Ma Lubbish, Look at credible leaders who still have the future economic management for Zambia. The REAL CHANGE message is fast growing especially in rural zambia.Well, these guys decide for us in Zambia(painful fact) .We need no further recycled old old men. Watch the space. statistics are interesting. HH forward.

  53. Who in their right mind would vote for MCS aside his hardcore tribalist followers.Bakaaba quit while you still have chance to save face. MCS you shall never lead Zambia! You are a leader of the minority Bemba tribal party!!! Most Bembas like know the truth.

  54. A president speaking ….. Not PaFwaka all you listen to tirades from your president. No wonder that man’s looks are NOT investor friendly ………… 20HH
