Economic consultant Bob Sichinga says that a number of MMD members are currently uncomfortable with the type of leadership being exhibited in the ruling party.
Mr. Sichinga said that a number of the MMD members have observed that the party is not what it was in the past.
He said that the MMD will see a lot of members leave the party and join other progressive political parties.
Mr. Sichinga in an interview with QFM radio added that the MMD has lost the credibility it had in the past.
He added that the high political party officials who have left the party recently is not surprising because it was foreseen.
He said that the current leadership in MMD is being coupled with favoritism which has brought some uncertainty on other political party members.
He said that this is clear confirmation that the MMD has run its course and is leaving power this year.
Mr.Sichingasaid that from his observation, most Zambians want to change of government, which he confidently says will take place.

I have always had great personal respect for Robert Kaponda Sichinga’s analysis. He would make an excellet academic. That whole family is full of intellectuals! His brother Austin is one of the most brilliant academics Zambia has ever produced. It would be good to translate such brilliance into reality …
It is worth probing to establish which University the “Economic consultant Bob Sichinga” got his degree in economics. He failed to provide economic formulas to develop Isoka-East when he was the area’s MP. It had to take Namugala to initiate development in Isoka-East to uplift better life for Sinchinga’s relatives. He was MP for Kafue which needed an economist to revamp the ailing Kafue Textile and Nitrogen Chemical, but also failed. Other MPs initiated industries in Kafue. Who would risk business to consult a failing economist. Development of any country is measured through construction of numerous buildings, roads and bridges. Sichinga’s switch to politics has failed him too. Bob has become a fossil in both economics and political arenas. He is just an arm-chair critic.

For your information Spokeswoman @#.9 Austin Sichinga has a degree in Agriculture. Most of us have been at UNZA for years. Austin’s failure to shine as an academic in the School of Agriculture at Unza lured him and his fleet collegues to venture into an easier industry of politics. There is nothig tangible that can be attributed to the Sichinga family. Otherwise the system may start frowning as to what extent Austin is devulging Govt data to his PF-brother Bob. What have the two Singinga brothers published to earn them the status of being brilliant academics? Hence Spokeswoman must not mislead readers on this website.

I have always said and will reiterate, I would love RB to win this year, but his so-called advisers are out to destroy him. Bob is the man who has tamed Sata of yesteryears. We have noticed Sata’s language and appearance has changed a lot. He is not the same loud mouthed (though he does get into fits and off track). It is because of Bob and a few others who are taking care of this negative side of Sata. But on MMD side, instead of concentrating on all the positives, within less than three years, we are wasting time and setting tones for all negativities and more we do bad mouthing ( being in party in power), more we go on defensive and wasting energies. A request to His Excellency. Intellectuals the President’s advisers do not run the country. It’s the President in turn who makes the bold decisions. It’s hard sometimes to believe things that you read in the paper but for our current President you can almost read between the lines of the media reports to make conclusions that he is leading the country nowhere. This man is surviving off the late Mwanawasa’s efforts. If he is allowed to carry on things will only worsen. He was part of Mwanawasa’s  govt, why has he suddenly changed course on so many things. Currently we see an influx of ex-MMD failed and disgruntled politicians in PF, others are impotent and irrelevant UNIPists who are looking for manna lest PF comes to power.
