Former Mkushi North Member of Parliament has been expelled from the MMD after she decided to stand as an independent candidate in the area.
Ms Changwe decided to stand on an independent ticket after being left out by the ruling party on the list of adopted parliamentary candidates for the 20th September polls.
MMD Central Province National Publicity Secretary Richard Yumbe says Ms Changwe has ignored advice from the party and gone ahead with her decision.
Mr Yumbe says the party in the province will soon write to the National Executive Committee informing the higher organ of the party of its decision.
Patricia Mwachingwele has also been expelled from the MMD following her decision to stand on the Patriotic Front ticket in Katuba, after she was not adopted by the MMD.
Mr Yumbe has told ZNBC News in Chibombo that he is confident that the ruling party will scoop all the 14 seats in the province.
Meanwhile, Adoption problems have continued in the Patriotic Front with Party member Beck Banda opting to contest the Bwacha seat as an Independent.
Mr. Banda who was flanked by his supporters says he will contest the seat as an independent or join another political party that will adopt him.
He says the PF adopted candidate Sydney Mushanga for Bwacha Constituency has been rejected by people at the grassroot.
Mr. Banda told ZNBC News that he got more marks during the PF adoption process and that he is a favourite in the constituency.

So RB or somebody close to RB has been helping himself, but she is now being dumped after being used because no one wants to be voted out because of supporting a liability like her. Its a shame to note that our politicians have not matured enough 20years after the introduction of multipatrtism and it is this same politics of the stomach that we should all aspire to eliminate from our political scene. If one is not adopted the next thing we hear of is a defection or resignation. There are many ways a patriotic citizen can contribute to the building and running of a political party and indeed national development without necessarily being MP. Why can’t we remain united and support those that have been adopted and wish them the best? We need to change as apeople and have politicians who willing to serve and not be served.
This Lucy Changwe, I remember very well she was found having sex with a fellow mature student at UNZA. Then I was a premature student myself. then I recall very well having gone to MoE headquarters, I saw her in the corridor then I asked if it was her that was once at UNZA between a specified period of time. She arrogantly said yes and walked away, and I concluded it was her. My wife knows this clown (Lucy) very well! She went to school with Lucy’s little sister from Sixth to Twelfth grade at Mkushi Copper Mines and later at Mkushi Sec Sch. Lucy’s parents and my in-laws were once close neighbors. She also taught English at Mkushi Sec sch during my wife’s time there. That’s how intimately my wife knows Lucy’s family and Lucy herself.
She was actually surprised to learn Lucy was a Cabinet Minister in Rupiah’s govt. She tells me all kinds of sordid stories about her. People in Mkushi where she comes from have very low regard for her morals. She is well known for living way beyond her means and income. Patronizing sugar-dads for money is one of her MO. If what I hear is true, she is a very loose character indeed!
